Was so sad when they closed their spot on MLK, so to see it pop up here with an expanded outdoor seating area was a joyful moment! Cute side window for grabbing drinks too. Some of the best coffee and vibes in the east bay, highly recommend. Got the iced dirty chai + banana bread, gonna grab some beans next time.

Wonderful new coffee shop! We enjoyed our almond milk lattee & drip coffee. Amazing pastries here. Lots of gluten free options on top of a pretty amazing pastry rotation. House-made sourdough is some of the best in the Bay Area! Nice area for outdoor enjoyment as well.

They use very quality ingredients and you can taste it. Very good with the pour too! Also the girl working there was very nice and helpful to guide me on choosing one of their special drinks, great experience.

Coffee was amazing, great prices, & easy parking. The gentleman working has positive and contagious energy..he went above and beyond for my experience. This is now the GO-TO coffee if your in downtown Oakland.

Lovely little coffee shop with small selection of pastries. Had a kouign-amman which was buttery and delicious. Great oatmilk latte. Small amount of outdoor seating. Do not be in a hurry. It's not that kind of place.

Perfect spot to drop in and grab a coffee to go. Quick and friendly service as you'd expect, all staff I've encountered have happily offered up some light chit-chat while you wait. No real inside seating but they have a cute patio on the side of the building and some street-side seating as well. The weather wasn't really fit for outside seating most of the times I visited. Coffee has always been real good, quality beans and well prepared milk options.

True craft coffee. Best cortado in the East Bay

As my other States reviews might indicate, I'm a fan of their coffee. I've been to the Martinez Roastery, the new San Pablo Roastery, and I've frequented both Oakland cafe locations on 40th and MLK. The 40th location has better seating options -- on the curb and in a little enclosed corner tucked behind the cafe. It seats about 6 tables with plenty of space and open air. The carry out window makes it easy to get your favorite coffee and pastry.

The owner is absolutely awesome. He made the experience personable and was very engaging in conversation. Aside from the stellar service, the coffee ☕️ was absolutely amazing!!! If you're in Oakland around 40th and Telegraph area, stop by and check this place out🙏🏿💯🙏🏿

Awesome small coffee shop. It is very small with no indoor seating but you want good coffee? This is good coffee. Great espresso and some nice small pastries. Usually good street parking right in front.

We got an iced coffee, red eye, and two pastries. It was $25, which was surprising for what we got. The coffee was fine but nothing special in my book. The pastries were good, also nothing special. Service, utterly deadpan. I live in the neighborhood but have absolutely no interest in going back. Wish it was a little more impressive and had a better outdoor space, for the price.

Good coffee. Pastries used to be fresh every time, but are hit or miss lately

The coffee is really good BUT the energy is always off when I come in. The staff are always short and curt and it takes away from the whole experience of the coffee.

Coffee is good, service is good, cups are worthless, 10 minutes after receiving coffee I have empty cup and wet car. Seam is too weak on cups.
