CoRo Coffee Room Berkeley Reviews
Crisp, flaky croissant and Coro Columbia espresso had a bright finish. The espresso machiato was layered in a glass with proper dollop of milk/foam (most places fail). Latin and groove playlist is excellent. Great walking neighborhood. Bonus to see the roastery where magic happens. Wisley, Racquel and Rain make for joyful and entertaining visits.
I accidentally discovered the coffee shop since it’s located in a random street where and no other walk-in businesses around it, they have their own coffee roaster business which you can admire thru the large glass, they service a variety of coffee (V60, espresso, americano…) nice background music, it have no ethnicity monopoly (very blended culturally) don’t be shy to say Hi since everyone inside is easygoing, a decent choice of pastry, children friendly and No alcohol served.
The five spice latte was spot on, and the whole team has such great energy!
We really like this café and come often. Tea and chai latte are always good, they serve drinks in cool cups. Staff is friendly. It gets busy, so come early if you want a seat. Worth it.
CoRo is a very unique place. A very nice Cafe with very knowledgeable staff and a coop coffee roasting facility in the back, where you can watch the roasting and processing of the magic beans happen, right before your eyes. The feature some of the unique coffees that are roasted there and offer local baked goods, as well.
10/16/2024* Got the Porco Dio which was espresso poured over a cold brew rock and topped with vanilla foam. The caramel latte was equally impressive. Cozy atmosphere and friendly service too. 8/14/2023 I enjoyed a latte paired with a chocolate croissant, both of which were absolutely delicious. The combination was a treat for the taste buds. While I had hoped to try their Black Sesame Latte based on a friend's recommendation, it unfortunately wasn't available during my visit. Despite that, the overall experience was great, and I appreciate the quality of their offerings. I'll certainly consider returning to explore more in the future.
Delicious! Always wanted to come to this spot for awhile now and finally got to come experience this whole coffee shop vibe was a bucket list fulfilled. Vibe is very calm. Love the employees, they were super friendly. The latte was spot on. Loved every sip of it. Very sesame which fits my taste and expectations from this latte. I also gave myself the opportunity to try one of their pastry, ham & cheese croissant. It was very toasty after a quick warmup. Very flacky in each bite. Expected from a croissant. Will need to come back to try their other drink selections 👌👌👌
This is among the best cappuccinos I've ever had. Darkly reddish brown, balanced taste and served hot. This is what a cappuccino should be. In addition I appreciate the ethos of CoRo as well as the ambiance of the space -- I came here to study and enjoyed my view of the roasting room through the big glass wall. They have a good amount of seating, but getting there earlier is better, as you'll also have less trouble finding free street parking outside. I also tried a slice of the vegan pumpkin loaf and loved it -- much fresher and spicier than the Starbuck's equivalent. I can't wait to go back!
Really good coffee and pastries! I really appreciated them heating up pastries for dining in. As any croissant enthusiast knows, a little heat makes all the difference! So many different beans for sale. I think these are all their coffee members who roast at their facility? Very interesting business. Street parking only but pretty easy to find a spot
Delicious, fresh coffee and also a place that cares about educating its consumers. I go here for the coffee although they also have pastries. Nice interior, good service and great coffee.
Loved this coffee shop, friendly baristas, cute cups and amazing coffee. You can view the processing unit inside and enjoy a nice hot cup of coffee by the large street side windows or outside too. Our order was delayed due to come confusion and they gave us a complementary cup of coffee with sincere apologies.
Excellent cappuccino served in exquisite cups. This is a showcase for leading edge coffee roasters. Awesome espresso!

Great tasting coffee, espresso was balance, dark chocolaty more Robusta less Arabica in my opinion. Very laidback atmosphere. Orange scone was amazing too!
I'll be back, no question about that! Incredible on-site selection of top notch beans, reasonably priced, and excellent service. Also located in a quaint neighborhood in Berkeley!
I wish they had an oven to warm up the pastries, but other than that their coffee is really really good. They know their drinks here. I’ve never had anything bad here and as someone who loves a fun silly little latte, their espresso by itself is good.
Tried their Whiplash drip. Never thought a drip wouldn't taste better than most pourovers I brew. Pretty damn amazing. I like the vibes a lot. The view of the roastery is gorgeous, and the coffee collection available is top notch.
Easily the best coffee in Berkeley and it's so fun to be able to see the roastery through the glass.

Best coffee in the east bay -/ so I’m begging yall to make some merch!! This town is merch deficient what’s going on. You’ve updated the logo, the hats nearly make themselves!!! People will pay 45 bucks for a hat these days (it’s me I would) t shirts too thanks in advance

Quite honestly the best cortado that I have ever tasted. The ratio was perfect. Streusel dessert was delicious as well. Big thanks to the staff for recommending great drinks and pastries for us.
-delicious coffee -housemade vanilla syrup is fantastic, don't be surprised if you taste a tiny bit from it, it's just vanilla bean -great variety of roasted coffee to choose from for home-brewing -ambience is great; outdoor seating is nice and you get to smell a wood-burning stove somewhere in the vicinity and people watch. downsides -if you grab a filter coffee togo, their compostable cup leaks like crazy, so ask for it to be double cupped or bring your own cup -sometimes, an iced vanilla latte is consistent, other times not so much. if anything, its a random surprise to start the day. overall, I keep coming back to CoRo so its a top 3 coffee shop for me in the bay
Nice atmosphere inside but its always super cold inside whenever I go. Great drinks but personally I don't love their coro bean so I'll get the other drinks/beans next time

Highs: Very good tea lattes. Great selection of delicious pastries. Staff were friendly and fast. Relaxed cafe space, good for reading, working, or chatting with friends. Misses: Business seems okay with having pet dogs inside the cafe even though there is a sign posted on entry door that only service animals allowed.
Firstly all the various coffee beverages I’ve had here have been outstanding. Three stars for service because although everyone is nice, more often than not the folks behind the counter can be a bit aloof, like really taking their time in their own conversations rather than even bothering to say “hi” or “I’ll be right with you.” Honestly any form of acknowledgment that they see you waiting there to order would be nice. Like I’m just here for coffee, but it always feels a little bit weird. On the other hand, this is Berkeley. The place you can get both really good coffee and a range of weirdness options on the side. Cute street, good coffee. Worth the weird.

Came in with my friend and the place felt like a university study hall. Rows of tables with people sitting with laptops working or studying. There was no room to sit and very unlikely that anyone would actually leave anytime soon. It was very depressing atmosphere and not a place that invited people to have a chat.
