This place is a hidden gem! The food was absolutely amazing, with the perfect blend of Indian and Chinese flavors. The momos were the best I’ve ever had—juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Every dish we tried was fresh, well-seasoned, and packed with authentic taste. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making our dining experience even better. They were quick with service and made sure we had everything we needed. If you're craving delicious Indo-Chinese cuisine, this is definitely the place to go! Highly recommend!

The chicken tikka masala was good, wish there was more chicken in it but the portion was still good, I was just hungry. The garlic naan is also really good and comes in this really big form which I’ve never seen before.

I'm not a local but I've traveled to Berkeley about once a year for the past three years for a UC Berkeley event. I try different local places every time I visit and this is by far the best place I've tried in the entire area. The Chicken Tikka Masala was perfectly spiced and piping hot. Chicken was tender and the sauce was flavorful with a fantastic tang. It was not overly greasy at all. The garlic Naan was huge and had amazing flavor. They are very generous with the garlic and butter flavoring. It was crispy on the bottom and pillowy soft on top - perfect complement to the saucy curry. The mango lassi was also great, it was not overly sweet and had a good thickness to it without being overwhelming. The service was also excellent - the folks there are super kind, very professional, and they bring the food right to where you're sitting. Seating is a little bit cramped but the tables are clean and they're making the best out of the small space. Himalayan Bite is one restaurant I've visited that I'd love to come back to on another visit.

I stopped in for dinner one evening while studying late on campus. The service was great, food was delicious, and I left full. I ordered chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and a squirt. The naan is really big and tastes incredible. I asked for medium spicy tikka masala, it was very tasty and it comes with rice. The music was great (kinda wish there were no commercials but it's all good).

Hands the best veg soup I ever had in 44 years! Vegetable biryani was good too. A must try! They also serve halal meat. Very good customer service and in a good neighborhood.

We ordered the Vegetarian soup. Lovely clear broth, vegetables, Vegetable biryani with channa, cauliflower, potato and broccoli with rice. Perfect on a winter's day! Great friendly service!!

I had an amazing experience at Himalayan Bits in Berkeley! The food was flavorful, fresh, and absolutely delicious. What truly set them apart was their willingness to go above and beyond for their customers. Even though aloo gobi wasn’t on the menu, they made it for me to accommodate my request, and it was perfect—just the right balance of spices and tenderness. The staff was kind and attentive, making me feel genuinely welcomed. If you’re looking for a spot with great food and even better service, I highly recommend giving them a try!

My brother and I shared a delicious meal. Place very popular and busy, but great staff worked hard to serve food as quickly as possible! Normally, I do not leave a review. But we were served by Prasansh, very kind and helpful young lady. Watched her stay focused and be polite. Even with rude customer, still offered amazing customer service! We had Butter Chicken, Fish Tiki Masala, and Lamb Curry. 10/10 for all. Would recommend Garlic Naan; fresh, crunchy, warm and flavorful. I have ordered DoorDash before and every time good as well, but especially nice to dine inside for first time. Thank you!!!

Himalayan Bite is a new, reliable go-to for us! My god, the KALE CHAAT! An *inspired*dish! I now crave it! The naans are bliss for this carb-addict. I’ll be working my way through their many menu offerings but I can’t bring myself to not order the kale chaat and a naan. And chai. We came to Himalayan Bite by chance. Noodle Dynasty had just closed for the evening. Wondering where to go as we walked, just a couple doors north was Himalayan Bite. It was rather empty but it was open and we were hungry! (The sign in the window stating that they also serve Jain food was a positive bias for me.) The cherry on too: the guys working there - so welcoming. They make it clear that they want your experience to be a good one.

From the moment I walked in I was expecting a great meal. And they exceeded my expectations. You'll be greated with the aromas and the sight of a busy kitchen, and a smile from Sam. The chicken bento box had tender chunks of chicken with just enough rich sauce and just the right spice. It came with rice and spicy noodles and beautifully fried cauliflower. And then there was the the Lamb Korma. Spectacular! So rich and out of this world layers of flavor. Sam checked to make sure we had everything we needed and the chef even came out to ask if we were happy with everything. It's a small place, comfortable, and I always like when I can see into the kitchen.

Butter chicken with garlic naan and rice is my favorite food ever. I have been on a never ending quest to find the best in my area. I’ve tried many places in Berkeley, and this is by far my favorite!! This will be my new go to restaurant! I was not prepared for how massive the naan was, but I loved it 😆

Had some curry and naan. Both were amazing and the staff were super personable. I tend to rate lower than most people, so I really mean it when this place is worth five stars

Delicious momos! There are some great Himalayan spots near campus but this might be my new fave. I got my chicken momos made “chilli” which was fantastic— fried, then sauced up with generous aromatics, onions, bell peppers, sweet with a kick but not too spicy at all. Mango lassi was lovely as well. Telegraph storefronts can be crowded but this one is spacious with clean bathrooms and wifi provided. The staff are also super nice (they went out of their way to check if I’d need ice, etc) & clearly take pride in providing excellent food! Hope this business flourishes :)

I had a wonderful experience here today! Recently I’ve developed a severe food allergy to wheat, gluten, garlic and onion, I just assume I can’t eat when I go out with friends most places. Kismat checked in with his chef and found me a delicious opinion. Went above and beyond to ensure I was well fed.

Came here for an impromptu dinner with my boyfriend! Good: - Super nice staff and they checked in us a ton despite this place being fairly casual - Loved the Himalayan burrito - the paratha wrap and the paneer inside was so delicious - The noodle soup was pretty good too - sweet and savory - Portion sizes were great - super full at the end of it Bad: - The wait time was a bit long for our two entrees - A bit more casual and self-service Overall this was a good find after a long day of walking around and was the perfect thing to get us energized for a long night.

Went out for early dinner, but it was booked for college orientation, so had to takeout snacks and tea only. Samosas were freshly made and very tasty. Masala tea was good as well. I am very sure the food would have been very tasty .

Importantly, this place gave me terrible food poisoning for ~2 days. Don't eat here for food safety reasons. Also it was bad! Tasted like they used a cheap hot and sour soup mix for the noodle soup and canned tomato sauce for the momos. When I tried to leave this review several weeks ago, Google had frozen the reviews function for this place because of suspicious high reviews lol. Make of that what you will!
