Le Pho Berkeley Reviews
Definitely recommend! I got the turmeric chicken Bahn Mi and it was fantastic. The chicken itself was so flavorful and wasn’t dry at all. The servers were all very nice and the restaurant itself is very clean and has a great vibe. Looking forward to coming back next time I’m in the Bay Area :)
Great food! I got the grilled chicken rice plate and it was one of the best grilled chicken I’ve eaten, amazing flavor. The spring rolls were fresh and delicious and the coconut shaved ice was tasty and sweet.
Everything featured in my photos was so delicious. There is so much flavor in every bite. I also tried the pork belly, and it was also very good. I would HIGHLY recommend Le Pho.
Vietnamese food is my favorite type of food. I would choose it any day over any other type of food so I think I’ve had a good share of Vietnamese food in my lifetime…. But this place…trumps them ALL. Holy schnikeys. We had the vermicelli salad with pork and pork egg rolls; pork belly bahn mi; the pho with rare steak, brisket and flank, and the crispy noodles with chicken. Every single one was a home run. I want to eat like this every day. My 5 and 9 year old even said it’s the best restaurant ever. Photo is simply what was left of our meal… but then we kept eating because we couldn’t bear to leave any of it behind. Just do yourself a favor and try everything.
Loved my experience here! The interior is comfortable and the staff was extremely friendly. We got the no. 20 large pho and no. 78 rice vermicelli salad. Would definitely come back.
Came in for lunch on a chilly day and ordered pho ga w wide noodles (chicken pho), bo luc lac (shaking beef), and a viet coffee. Everything was so!! yummy!! The broth was clear and soothing and the chicken wasn’t tough at all. The beef was *super* tender and might be the best bo luc lac I’ve had at a restaurant. Fresh viet coffee is always a treat, and it is definitely strong. The interior is clean and bright, and the staff are kind and welcoming! Easily will be back many times in the future :-)
Another word of the contender for Pho, vermicelli combination bowls, and other Vietnamese delights. In the old location of bacheeso's, the brightly lit interior and glass windows give a lively feel to a place that has obviously been discovered by the local business people. Definitely worth a try if you're in neighborhood of Dwight and San pablo.
Food is a lil more expensive but it’s generous. I had lots of meat at my pho! Worth the extra price. The pork chop with rice is large portion and tasted great.

Excellent pho gaa! Will be back again for another! Sweet happy wait persons. SCORE! 3/6/21 Not so great today. Shimp spring rolls smelled and tasted old and not enough dipping sauce. Could not taste any peanut flavor at all. Need to step flavor up and include 2 small containers or 1 large or cut order in half. Thought about making my own sauce for the other half but threw them in compost since they were already a little funky. Last time the noodles were skinny rice noodles in the Pho Ga. This time it was the large flat noodles that are good for saucy stir fry but too much for Pho ga imo. Really skimped on the peppers and bean sprouts for a large order. Also ordered the 42- Flat or Pan Fried Seafood-Hu Tieu Xao Hai San and asked for super spicy and although it was the best of the 3 items, it was far from spicy hot. Not even close. Recommend asking for extra sirancha sauce. There was 4 and that was not nearly enough for this much food. Would have made up for a some of the lack of heat. Couldn't help thinking that could have had a organic roasted chicken for 1/4th the price and got 3 meals out of it. Still enjoyed the joyful order taker person. Did enjoy hearing the wok sizzling in the back when cooking it. Might try the Pho ga again but will make sure to specify thin rice noodle and extra jalapenos and go regular size.
I went into this restaurant on a whim, while in town for another business. The inside is not what I expect of a Vietnamese restaurant but that's a good thing in this instance. The decor is woodsy and because of the tall windows, a lot of natural light makes its way in, creating a very comfortable environment to eat in. I was immediately greeted by the staff and the overall service was what is expected out of Viet restaurants. The food was delicious! First time I've had the pork spring rolls in a restaurant setting. The fish sauce that accompanied it was perfect. The large bowl of pho dac biet satisfied my cravings for the day and then some. It had everything, including tendon, which you don't really see in the bay area, so that was a pleasant surprise.
Update: You can now modify your order items on their website by tapping on the item in your cart. I’m not sure if this was always there and I was mistaken or if this is new Original: Feedback for restaurant: add a request section to the online ordering system. I ordered online a Bahn Mi and wanted to request no Pâté on my sandwich. But there’s no way to modify your order or list requests, so I added my request to the name section. Yet my bahn mi still had pâté on it. The sandwich was plenty tasty but I hope Le Pho makes their online order process better
Have been a 'long while back , and live nearby, but wanned to ' Correct ' another Reviewer Tmk this Eatery is on San Pablo Ave. @ Gilman and not Dwight Way bang across from the Chevron Station. May ' step-in ' sometime for Vegetarian if am in a mood, since I stick with HALAL MEATS , generally. The last occupant @ the Space was Tea Fragrance Garden...very nice spot !! Just realizing I have confused them with Pho Le on SPA & Gilman !!! Gotta Google them to ' check out their offerings ' !!!!!!
Nice little corner place for Pho, staff was great, food was good had the spring rolls, best I had very fresh and you can taste it.
This place is as reliable as they come. Tasty food across the board. Always quick. Staff are helpful and friendly. Been here probably 20-30 times and it's solid every time.

I went here for lunch with my girlfriend. Staff and atmosphere was really nice. Lots of options food was really delicious! Came really fast

Good meat portion and tasty broth, but I would've liked more aroma from more spices. Would eat here again.
I’ve been here for lunch a few times now and it’s become a reliable favorite. I really appreciate that they offer a small size for their pho; the Pho Tai (small) is my go-to. The flavor is incredibly comforting—it might not be "Michelin star" complex, but it tastes like a warm, home-cooked meal made by family. Plus, the service is consistently fast and very welcoming to solo diners. I'll definitely be back!
The restaurant is located at the corner of San Pablo and Dwight, and you will need to find parking. It’s got good vibes- spacious, airy and clean. We tried the house Pho (with everything in it) so while the broth was “clean” and okay, it didn’t really stand out and wasn’t hot enough to my liking when served, but it was still good. We also ordered three other dishes and really enjoyed them too, and we would like to try other dishes next time. I recommend this place.
We were feeling a bit under the weather and decided to get some pho. I ordered the Pho Combination, which came with rare steak, brisket, flank, tendon, tripe and beef ball, and along with a side of bean sprout, jalapeno, lime and basil. The broth was really good, the meat was tender, and the portion was generous. Highly recommended!
Pho soup contains MSG and got rashes but I guess it is common to add MSG in Asian restaurants. Shrimp roll doesn’t have MSG and it tastes good and fresh with the sauce. In total I would recommend the restaurant, the seating is spacious and high ceiling makes a nice dining vibe.

First time here and the Pho and pork plate are amazing! A little pricey but I’ll definitely come back! ❤️
My first time trying pho, so it was an entirely new experience. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Seemed to be on the pricier side for some broth, noodles, and a few pieces of meat, but was very tasty.

Food is pretty good, prices not so much. There are plenty of great Pho restaurants in the SF/East Bay offering fare of equal quality and far greater quantity. Spent $62 on two clam shells of noodles, half a container of calamari (a $10 container of calamari cleverly packed with wedge of lime INSIDE the box) and three beverages. Not particularly budget friendly -- head up the road to Super Super Pho for great food, relaxed atmosphere and awesome staff.

Pho was good but Charged me 5 dollars extra to add 3 pieces of shrimp to my pho
