Sistory Thai Kitchen Berkeley Reviews
We had an amazing lunch at Sistory Thai! The $19.90 lunch combo was not only quick and convenient but also delicious and generous—such great value for the quality and portion size. We also added a Papaya Salad, and it was hands-down one of the best we've ever had—perfectly balanced flavors with just the right amount of crunch and spice. The service was friendly and efficient, making the whole experience even better. If you're looking for authentic Thai food that delivers on taste, portion, and price, this spot is a must-try!
Very small spot, kinda a hole in the wall but it got killer food, banger pad see ew, more importantly the best duck noodle soup ive ever had. Cool waiter aswell.
I wish I found this place sooner. The restaurant just opened a couple years ago. Funny cause this isn’t that far from the other Thai resto my boyfriend and I used to go and didn’t know they exist. Anyways I ordered their Tom Yum fried rice that comes with grilled salmon and it was really delicious. For me it was the best Tom yum fried rice I’ve ever had. The fish cakes did not disappoint they were yummy. Their roti according to my boyfriend is the most delicious he tried so far.
So happy we got to be one of the first customers to ever eat at this new Thai restaurant. The place inside is pretty small, but the decor is cute & simple. They make the most of the room by putting as many small tables that fit with seating mostly for tables of two or four. We were literally the second table to ever eat in this new spot. And wow, am I glad I decided to search Yelp today for lunch. The service was super sweet, friendly, and perfect. We had a hard time deciding on what to try first (because everything sounded good and the smells from the kitchen were amazing). What we ordered: - Tom Kha Soup with Chicken Excellently flavors and just enough spice for me. My spouse loves really spicy dishes and said it would be delicious with more spiciness, but thought the broth was so good that it didn’t even need to change. We actually just wish there was an option to order a larger size, it was that good! Sometimes my spouse like to just have soup as the entree. - Green Curry with Chicken (comes with rice) Wow! Super bright and fresh taste! Smells really good and tastes even better. It was very fresh and loved all the vegetables inside (eggplant soaked up all the delicious flavor just right, baby corn- yum, etc.). - Pad Cashew Nut with Pork (comes with rice) AMAZING. Mouth-wateringly delicious. I did not want the dish to end. It was the perfect amount of flavor and freshness. Loved the cashews, the carrots, the onions, the cilantro on top. Perfect combination of sweet & salty sauce with nuttiness from the cashews, enhanced by the onion, carrot, cilantro. Since it was their first day, we enjoyed free beverages. The Thai tea was so good- you can get oat milk for $1 more. The Black Mango Iced Tea was also delicious and you get refills on it. I cannot wait to go back and eat every dish. Since it was their first hour open, we were there when the Doordash photographer came to snap pictures of all the dishes. WOW! We were eyeing the Lobster Ravioli and honestly it looks too good to miss. So we’ll probably be back later this week to try it and more. Congratulations on your opening. Thank you for bringing delicious Thai food to the area. We just moved up here from San Diego, and we’ve been having a hard time finding true Thai food and flavors. Many of the Thai places we’ve eaten up up here lack flavor or are just different because they’re fused with Laotian dishes or another type of cuisine. Finely we found a great Thai places we can walk to from the University Village apartments. See you soon!
If you’re looking for the best Thai food in the Bay Area, look no further than Sistory Thai Kitchen on San Pablo in Berkeley! We stumbled upon this gem online, and when I saw one of my all-time favorite dishes—whole fried fish with Thai salad, spicy chili lime dressing, and jasmine rice on the side—I had to go. Though the menu had changed slightly, the staff kindly agreed to prepare it just as it had appeared previously, and it was absolutely amazing! We also tried the Kao Pad Tom Yum, which was out of this world. The flavors were vibrant, and the fried rice was perfect. I can’t believe I didn’t find this place sooner! Highly recommend for authentic and delicious Thai cuisine.
The food is SO delicious and SO flavorful. And I loved the beautiful presentation and friendly services. The menu has lots of unique dishes, but also plenty of the staples. There were so many things on the menu that I wanted to try. I will definitely be back again.
Fun brunch place! We went on Saturday around noon and we were able to be seated right away. It's quite a small restaurant. The food was delicious. We got the Crab Eggs Benedict, which I thought had a good amount of crab. And the potatoes and side salad were great sides. The appetizer with the curried potatoes and fried egg was also delicious. I also got the Thai Tea Pancakes, although I didn't think the syrup had enough Thai Tea flavor, and just ended up being too sweet. Overall, I would definitely go again. :)
🍹🍛 SistoryThaiKitchen 📍 Berkeley, CA ❤️ What a wonderful dining experience! My first Thai Brunch and it did NOT disappoint! 😋 The food and service were amazing! This is a fun, beautiful spot that's great for weekend brunches with friends or an intimate, romantic dinner or lunch. 🍹 I’m still dreaming of the lemongrass lemonade, I can't wait to come back! Although this area sometime feels a bit sketchy, it has a lot of hidden gems and Sistory Thai Kitchen is one of them! Staffs are friendly, the price is reasonable, and the food is unique. I always come back for its garlic noodles with crispy pork belly. Great flavor and big enough portion!
Went for dinner and it was wonderful! The service was excellent, the food was wonderful and the ambiance was cozy and inviting. My family and I will definitely be returning for their Breakfast menu, but until then I would recommend to give this local business a try, I'm sure your tastebuds will be pleased.
Tasty dishes ornately presented. Great for brunch in the secret garden. Will appeal to hipsters and Thai purists alike. Save room for pancake dessert!

this place was DELICIOUS!!! the service, the food, and even the plates were perfect. coming from a starving college student this was one of the best meals i’ve ever had. I would suggest the Chinese broccoli and the roti dip!!! amazing!!
Such a cute place, service was so excellent! I think this is the best Thai in the area, every dish we had was prepared so well. Do not hesitate to go here!

We mainly order takeout from here, maybe every other week. We enjoy the spicy basil dish with beef, which seems high quality. We also like the pad see ew with pork or beef. Medium spicy is a good entry level spicyness for people that like spicy food. Spicier is good too. Good place to dine in too!
Things I liked: Yellow curry. Though it sure didn’t have much meat, you can maximize by having rice with all that flavorful gravy. Pad se ew is gooood! Soft yum noodles and not overly sweet. Tom yum fried rice. Comes with a chunk o fish on top and you mix it in. Nice flavor and a little spiciness. Things i want high on: Chicken satay just didn’t have that much taste and was dry. Mix veggies… eh. There was a bunch left over. Mixed feelings: Deep fried Branzino. I like Branzino but it really didn’t have much flavor pop considering it was fried.
With so many Thai restaurants in the area, it is hard to stand out. But this restaurant boasts a unique menu with a combination of traditional Thai street food and innovative dishes. Most surprising items are the breakfast menu with scramble eggs and such. The scrambles are tasty but too little egg. The Thai coffee and tea are nice but quite pricey at $5 each. The staffs are very friendly and accommodating. Overall an interesting experience.
My first visit here was not bad. Tried some brunch plates and they tasted good. However, my 2nd visit was not the case. Kao Soi I ordered tastes terrible (hard to describe the flavor though).

The food was really deliciouse especially the fried pork belly withva type of broccoli. The Pineapple fried rice with shrimp was also very good.
We ordered the Pad kee mao, pineapple fried rice, and green curry. The Pad kee mao came with flat rice noodles, spicy saute sauce, eggs, bell peppers, white onions, green beans, tomatoes, and basil. We asked for it to be spicy, and it tasted really good. For the pineapple fried rice it came with rice, eggs, pineapple, cashew nuts, raisins, onions, and tomatoes. I'd say this dish was mediocre; it wasn't fragrant enough and tasted quite bland. The pineapple also wasn't very sweet, possibly because it's not in season. The green curry came with the bell peppers, eggplants, green beans, and basil. It tasted alright, but the eggplants were too mushy for my liking.
Great basic Thai food but they don't offer any spices. It's all bland and the only Thai place I've been to that looked confuses when I asked for medium spice level. Otherwise the food taste was spot on.
My first time here. Wonderful service and staff, but food was overall okay. Not a fan of the Thai tea pancakes. In my opinion, the fish tacos tasted good, but are not worth the cost. The kanoom jeen nam dish was great, though! Very flavorful with a delicious kick of heat from the dry peppers.

They gave me a bucket of curry without any rice. What the heck? Do I drink this? I realize you are trying to trick people into thinking the meals are cheaper than they really are but you tricked me into a horrible experience.
