Teaspoon Berkeley Reviews
I'm always impressed with Teaspoon's Berkeley location. Ordering is a breeze, and they live up to their reputation for fast and friendly service. This last visit, we ordered the Thai iced tea, coconut coffee, and a matcha strawberry. All three were delicious and perfectly prepared. Teaspoon is our top go-to's for bubble tea in Berkeley!
Great place! I got drink for my friends and myself. Delicious. The workers were friendly and helped me with my questions about the toppings.
Excellent boba tea, unlike many places these they brew their tea and use fresh ingredients rather than powdered milk and tea!

TLDR: If you’re looking for boba catering, I highly recommend reaching out to Teaspoon. Their team is reliable, the drinks are amazing, and their service is top-notch. They’re a great partner to have for any event! We’ve had the pleasure of working with Teaspoon for two years in a row for our company event, and they’ve consistently delivered an outstanding experience. This year, we went with their full-service catering, which made the experience even more special for our guests. Their drinks are enjoyable— their teas were refreshing & flavorful, and the chewy soft boba is a crowd favorite topping every time. What truly sets Teaspoon apart is their excellent customer service. Daniel is incredibly easy to work with—responsive, flexible, and genuinely committed to making sure everything runs smoothly. Whether it's answering questions or coordinating logistics, he's been a true professional throughout the process and a pleasure to work with. Thank you Teaspoon Berkeley!
I ordered the strawberry colada smoothie with boba which tends to have the boba stuck at the bottom. This led to me shaking it to mix it up like most other boba places but the lid came loose and the drink spilled everywhere. The customer service was the best. They offered to remake the drink and gave me plenty of things to help clean myself up as well as make the situation better as a whole. Best drinks in boba as well by far. Will continue coming here for the rest of my time here at Berkeley!
Great spot with kind staff, delicious drinks and quick service. No wonder they’re so popular!
We had the seasonal Ube Astra and the Caramel Cream. I LOOOOVED THE UBE ASTRA it was literally the most delicious ube drink I’ve ever had and I hope they don’t just have it for a few months and then get rid of it. The Caramel Cream was great too, classic toasted brown sugar milk drink with that burnt sugar taste, if that’s up your alley you’ll love it. There’s tons of good looking pastries and other drinks that all look great. My one issue is that it’s a bit pricey, but most boba out here is expensive, and at least they give you tall cups. I would’ve taken pictures but I was too busy devouring my Ube Astra 😛
I pass by Teaspoon every day on the way from work, so one day I decided to have a look. I am glad I stopped by, as I discovered their generous reward program and never looked back. So far I tried three drinks. Thai tea had beautiful layers and deliciously and uniformly chewy, still warm boba. Matcha Royale was also delicious and you can adjust sweetness level. But I think my new favorite is Ladybug. It took me by surprise - tea with generous serving of passionfruit. And not just passionfruit flavored syrup, but real passionfruit pulp, still with seeds. Delicious!!! For me it was even more fun to crunch on the seeds, than to chew on boba. Prices are comparable to other boba/tea places, but the location makes it my favorite - less than 5 minutes from work and UC Berkeley campus!
Such a great experience coming to the new Teaspoon in Berkeley. The staff was polite, the store was clean and the drinks were fantastic. I had the House Milk Tea with Honey Boba. Delicious. I met the Manager who's name is Jennifer, she has the best customer service from any establishment I have ever been too. I will be returning to this location
The staff here are so nice and the drinks are so creamy and sweet and with good variety. I tend to get drinks here as a treat for a bad day and even though I order online the staff is incredibly kind and still quick with the order.
Such a great spot for boba cravings !! Cute decor, kind employees, and so close to campus! 10/10 recommend - will definitely be coming back !

Service was super clean, fast, and high-quality! I ordered the black sugar assam drink. The boba was super soft and chewy but I think the syrup could’ve been better since it tasted way too artificial than usual milk tea syrups are. But it was a minor flaw in the taste overall.
shop is cute, drink is okay, I got the dirty ube and the coffee tasted way stronger cause I didn’t taste the coconut/ube actually. also drinks are super expensive but shop is cute!

Great service and tasty drinks. Place is a little cramped so expect to get boba and leave. The default sugar level is too high in my opinion. Boba pearls are well made.
Really good boba! They messed up my order, not then have me extra boba and it was delicious.

Their drinks are good, but I noticed that the brownies and rice crispy treats are the exact same as the prepackaged ones they would serve in the Berkeley dining halls, but cut into smaller chunks and marked up to hide it, which is a risky move when you're serving so many students lmao
Tiny cafe with two tables for sitting. Good sz drink menu. But very limited dessert options-the display was probably 10% stocked, probably because we went on a Wednesday. Taro milk- disappointed the taro flavor is powdered base. I assumed I would be receiving a drink with taro flavor from the natural purée since it was a choice of topping. And also, the menu showed a white liquid, which would be the milk, and a lt purple paste, which would be the taro purée. However, my drink came out entirely purple bc it is artificial powder flavoring. Not delicious!! Strawberry piña colada slush- the better drink of the three we ordered. Except they did not fill it to the top before sealing up the drink. Oreo iced coffee- very strong coffee taste and a little sprinkle of Oreo cookie crumb at the btm of the cup. Tip- check in on Yelp for a 5% discount. We forgot to use it and was unable to apply the discount after completing a purchase. Final Verdict- very mediocre, I mostly likely won’t be returning.

The staff is really friendly, but the tea quality is not quite there yet. The fruit tea I ordered has a strong artificial flavor and my friends’ regular boba teas also taste off. Sorry about the two star, but hope this helps improve the flavor/quality

I am writing this message as a major dissatisfaction to the service and drink order. I walked in to this location to place my order thinking it would be quick. I ended up waiting 30 minutes for my drink that was a creamy classic jasmine milk tea with boba. I watched all other walk-in orders get their order before me. The staff working at the Berkeley location didn’t even bother to check in about my order until after 20 mins waiting. By the time they did get to my order (which was now 30 min) they said they ran out of boba…when I placed my order they definitely had boba. This is unacceptable. I am extremely disappointed. I would either like my money back or get a free boba drink for this… come on 30 minutes for 1 classic milk tea boba?? It’s not even a speciality drink! Poor customer service all together to try resolve the situation too.
Order 25% sweet and the drink is sugar water. Bad quality and basically undrinkable. Not too mention it’s extremely overpriced! A basic boba milktea near $9. Does it look like people get their money for free?
The worker was really slow and she forgot my order. She also took her sweet time doing other things. The drinks were mid
