It’s in the building so don’t miss out . Watching the 49ers the place is sick 10 pool tables darts and exotic couches the joint is clean and Billy was the coolest person I met in Berkeley she turned the music on and we chilled the menu and and drinks everything was available at very high class experience . Had a great time at **The BreakRoom** in Berkeley! This spot has a chill vibe that makes it perfect for casual players or anyone looking to relax with friends over a game of pool. The tables are in excellent condition, and the layout of the space is well thought out, so you never feel cramped even when it's busy. The downstairs area, with its cool atmosphere, adds a unique touch. It's not just about pool either—they've got a solid selection of drinks, making it a great place to hang out even if you're not planning to play. The staff were super friendly, and the service was quick despite the crowd. Overall, it's definitely a fun, low-key spot to spend an evening. first time here and had a great experience! Live music on Wednesday set the mood for sure, will be back
Good place to play pool and get drinks. Billie was my server and was friendly and attentive.
Best espresso martini! Krystal was very helpful and kind. Will be coming back. :)
Good equipment, plenty of room, fair prices, smooth music, friendly staff. This place is a model for what a good pool hall looks like.
Went in there for the comedy show stayed cuz a Billy the bartender was awesome the best!!
The staff are so welcoming and the vibe there is cool. Makes you feel like you’re in a secret club. Can’t wait to go back!
This place has amazing pool tables and delicious beer on tap. I highly recommend!
Always love coming here, great atmosphere. I come here weekly and the pool tables are great!!
Stopped in for the first time and had a great experience, thanks to the bartender, Billie. I didn’t know what to expect, but she was welcoming right away and made the whole visit feel easy and comfortable. She made a perfectly balanced drink and checked in just enough without hovering. Even as it got busier, she stayed calm and kept everything moving smoothly. First impressions matter, and she definitely made this one a good one. I’ll be back.
The basement breakroom pool table area has a fantastic ambiance. The setup is inviting, the lighting is just right, and the pool table is well-maintained, making it a great place to unwind and play a few games. The music adds to the vibe without being overpowering, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere overall. A great spot to take a break, socialize, and recharge.
Awesome experience! Great service from the girls there and plenty of things to do besides pool. They have pretty great pizza and delicious cocktails. Love the vibe. Live music and lots of laughs
Staff is always super friendly, helpful with custom drink orders, drinks are always good. Pool tables nice and additional games they have are great for fillers between rounds.
I love this place, affordable and good pizza. The environment is always good.

Good place to shoot some pool, and unlike most places across the bridge in sf, they’re open late. Will be back!

Excellent management & staff, and Olhausen pool tables. Pool tournaments and leagues. Great for competitive and fun players, too. It's in Berkeley near campus and BART is 1/2 block.
If your goal is to actually play pool, and you like nice tables fair rates reasonable drink prices: CONGRATS you found your home. August has done a PHENOMENAL job in taking over what I hear used to be another pool hall. He (the owner) has gone well out of his way to help accommodate my every need, and his bartenders have truly demonstrated absurd levels of customer service. Could not be happier there is a real pool hall in Berkeley.
hands-down best pool hall in bay area! this is not a just a bar or an arcade with a pool table thrown in to the mix.. this pool hall is designed specifically for offering the ideal pool playing experience. the tables are of premium quality, well lit, and comfortably spaced with ample room for the shooter. the ambient music and the bar (with a bar bites menu) perfectly complement the experience
Fantastic atmosphere! Whether you're a seasoned pool player or just looking for a fun night out, this place has it all. The staff are friendly and attentive, the drinks are top-notch, and the pool tables are well-maintained. Definitely my go-to spot for a great time with friends!
Drank here downstairs for a bit while waiting for a concert. Nice staff and everyone minded their own business. Clean bathrooms but the floor is all carpeted so it definitely was a bit dated and need a good vacuuming.
The atmosphere at The BreakRoom was vibrant and energetic. The place was buzzing with friendly people genuinely having a good time, which made for a welcoming vibe. Customer service was on point—our waitress was attentive and checked in on us regularly, with timing that couldn’t have been better. That said, the pool table we played on had some wear and tear. The felt was noticeably aged and affected our shots due to tighter pockets and some unpredictable ball movement. It didn’t ruin the experience, but it definitely stood out. The music was decent, though I was hoping for a bit more variety from the DJ to match the lively crowd. All in all, a solid spot for a fun night out with friends. Just hope they update the tables soon.
Nice big pockets. Everything goes in. The Brunswick tables are in fair condition, no visible baulk lines on any tables and no ball return. All tables are 9ft with ample room between every table. No membership available, they have a "loyalty" program that earns you 'money back'. Nonetheless, a good spot to kill some time.

Place itself is decent. It’s more for casual players. I would not recommend for serious players as most tables need refelting and the owner plays in the tournaments for free but can win YOUR money. Payouts below what is expected.
The server was very dismissive of us. According to the receipt her name is Billy. She never came over and asked what we wanted to drink. I went over to the bar and ordered the mango chili margarita. I don’t believe my drink had any mango in it at all. Also the price listed on the menu said $14 but she charged me $15 I’m not really sure why I paid the 15 without questioning that. She never came by to ask how my drink was or if I would even like another drink.

This place has potential but they need to decide if they want to be a pool hall or a an underage college club. They need more pool tables and a better electronic wait system. We show up and some out of it guy takes our name and says it’ll be a 15 minute wait but it takes 2.5 hours. They don’t have enough bar tenders so it’s not worth waiting 30 minutes for a Modelo. Most patrons were definitely underage. Cops will eventually shut this place down. Decide if you want to be a pool hall or not. Having a dance floor and DJ and not enough pool tables for 18 year olds is not a great experience.
Tried to go here and the manager guy, possibly the owner, was super weird and seemed like he didn't want me to be there. Didn't seem like he wanted any business at all. 0/10 would not recommend!!
🚨One of the worst place in Berkeley downtown totally dead. Very generic nothing special and the security guard is very lazy and rude. He is a very healthy African American dude with absolutely terrible attitude. I don’t know what his job is except reducing their customer base. Absolutely terrible service by him. If they keep him this place will be shut down in few months. 🚨
