Well-priced espresso and baked goods, fast and convenient.

Really friendly staff plus great products. Giant airy quiche filled with toppings like sun dried tomatoes, onion and mushrooms. Super hearty and a perfect high protein snack. The mushroom empanada is also super yummy. So is the chicken curry empanada. It is $6.50 but you get what you pay for! They are large sized and cooked to perfection. They warm it up so the crust and insides are nice a hot. It’s was the perfect blend of sauce and topping with the bitterly flaky crust. Iced coffee is one of the best in the neighborhood. You taste the roasted bean and it’s not like the bitter diluted water you get at other shops. Stop by and say hi to Tom.

I adore this coffee shop so much! Tom is always so personable when me and the little come in. It can get busy during a break rush, but you are never waiting long. I have yet to try one of the pastries, BUT have had a chocolate chip cookie and it was scrumptious. Thankful this is my little, Wednesday treat. I also loved the newsletter he was putting out! Update: I have now tried the Beef Brat Croissant, IT WAS SO GOOD. Can't wait to see what I try next. You cannot go wrong with any choices from here.

Wow, best matcha I have had in a long time. The Spinach Kale croissant was so fresh, crusty and delicious!

This has become our default neighborhood coffee shop. Coffee is great, pastries freshly baked. Try the lemon poppyseed muffins if they have them! Tom is a lovely cheerful face to see in the morning before the grind of the day.

Excellent coffee and such nice people. Vietnamese coffee was excellent, as were the pastries. I appreciate the delicious decaf, which can be hard to find, as well as many veggie pastries options. I will definitely go out of my way to visit again when I'm in the area.

absolutely love it here! It is so good that my wife asked to be induced on a weekday so she could have a beef sausage croissant and a latte as her first breakfast as a mom!! This is a chill, take-out only coffee and pastry bar. The service is so kind and thoughtful. The coffee, espresso drinks and pastries are amazing. Highly recommended!!

Excellent coffee and exceptional house made baked goods! Everyone who works there is super friendly and they love dogs, which is important for our family, especially when we're en route to daycare or the park with the pup and kiddo. My only wish is that they had a space with a nice seating area so I could soak up the good vibes for longer.

The Line Coffee features some of the best specialty lattes and mochas I’ve ever had in my life . I recommend trying the Alta Bates latte iced and the green eyed lady iced, as well as the lovely johns mocha. Chef Tom serves some the best croissants and sandwiches, The Italian hot link sandwich is a must try! Seriously, can’t recommend this shop enough!

The Line is the perfect example of good (great) things coming in small packages. Coffee is absolutely delicious. The pastries are made fresh daily, are things I haven’t seen anywhere else (multiple sausage in puff pastry options, multiple quiche options, and interesting sweet options), and everything I’ve tried has been awesome. (I can’t stop thinking about that chocolate muffin or the polish sausage, I must have them again)

I’m from out of town and like to visit local independent coffee shops while traveling. The Line may be small but their coffee is a great, the pastries are excellent and service is friendly. While I was here I tried a couple of their pour over coffees and really enjoyed the beans from Guatemala. The chocolate croissants are excellent, and if you get there at opening and you have one straight from the oven. A great place. I wish them the best and I look forward coming back when I return. I hope you enjoy it too.

My favorite little hole in the wall coffee shop! The coffee is great, pastries are great, and the owner is so sweet. Their lattes are fantastic — they have a good espresso-to-milk ratio (I hate when lattes taste like milk with a hint of coffee) and the flavored ones aren’t too sweet! Do yourself a favor and try the spinach kale croissant too.

This review is more of a confession of my disappointment and sadness to the owners. My coffee is great every time—especially when the young barista is there (chef’s kiss). But more times than I can count, I’ve waited in line and ended up leaving without my coffee :(. The sweet gentleman who’s usually there just takes his time with every drink, and while I appreciate care, it’s often too slow. Sometimes I leave home 15 minutes early, and if there’s no line, I still have a few minutes to catch my bus. But if there are people ahead of me, there goes my chance of enjoying my well-deserved coffee.

You want sometime for breakfast because you are at the hospital. This is the place, a lot of baked goods, iced and hot chocolate or coffee. Yes it is tiny and has only 4 seats outside, I call it a hole in the wall even tho it is well known.

I've been coming here on occasion while seeing my son in the NICU nearby, and the coffee and the service is always top notch. The cold brew with a hint of cream and ice is perfect no matter the weather, and the breakfast options are also delicious: I've had the ham and cheese croissant, the spinach and kale croissant, and the artichoke quiche, and I honestly can't tell which one I enjoyed more, they were all so good.

Walked here from ashby bart. Phone died when i got here. Asked to charge it so i could pay with tap to pay. It was an issue. No thanks. Coffee shop is too small and snobby owners and customers when i was here. Language barrier, passive agressive and bad attitudes. Hard pass.
