Craft Bar + Kitchen Binghamton Reviews
Finally got to go in an check this place out! I was absolutely NOT disappointed. We happened to get there legit right at opening so it was perfect. Beautiful day so the out door seating was open and the breeze was just right 👍! We ordered a few different things to try and of course the Shake... Sadly they didn't have all of what was needed for the shakes we ordered so I can't say I got a real taste bc the pie piece was certainly what I was craving a try of lol... Still.. all was amazing. Nice and clean and friendly staff!!! Glad to see places like this locally.. it's a literal breathe of FRESH AIR!! TY!
Great and fun food. Always nice to grab a game. California (animal) style tots are great. Also love the shrimp slider, the burrata slider, the pork belly, and the fried chicken. Dog friendly patio!
Such a great spot! Lovely historic street with indoor and outdoor seating, nice vibe, interesting selection of sliders and incredible milkshakes! Fun set of board games too, which was great for my kids.
Delicious! I came here for a small work group event. Everything we sampled was fantastic. The loaded tots were my favorite. The drinks are creative and fun, and the amount of beers on tap was extensive. Will visit again!
Craft is a wonderful, cool, and modern hangout spot for a friend/family to get together. The inside is very clean and the staff are extremely nice. The only sad part is the small sliders are quiet pricey. Between the 3 of us yesterday (4 burgers/1 Milkshake for 2 of us, 2 burgers/1 Milkshake for the other, and shared a bowl of fries) it all came to a totally of almost 100$ dollars. Wish the price was a little cheaper but the food is very good. The milkshakes are especially phenomenal.
My wife and I have been coming to Craft for a few years now and we will definitely keep coming back! They have a huge drink selection that is always changing. The food is great and their milkshakes are amazing. If you are looking to hangout with friends and grab some good food and drinks, this is the place for you! They always have specials and make seasonal changes to their menu which keeps things fresh and new. I highly recommend this restaurant.
The best bar food I've had hands down. My daughter and nephew loved the tenders and fries. The shakes.... 🤤🤤 I came from an hour away to bring my brother to the bus station, saw this place and decided to try it. I'm so happy I did. The service was amazing as well. Thank you so much, Craft!
Great atmosphere and our waitress is was amazing, They were super accommodating for a last minute table of 8 on a Saturday night and only had a 10 minute wait. Especially since a lot of other restaurants had 1+ wait times. The food was so good. If you love chocolate the Blackout milkshake is amazing.
Everything we tried was delish! Wings were so good just the right amount of saucy deliciousness. My favorite was the shrimp sliders. We will be back. Yum!
My wife & I had an early dinner (4:45-ish) and were seated quickly. The server was fast and pleasant. Food was tasty. They have a good selection of sliders and we each tried 2. I also had a side salad, which was very good. Definitely will be back.
We loved the look of the dining area. Our server was serving all the tables and bartending. She was very busy and she did a wonderful job. The menu was very interesting. Our food was wonderful. My husband was super happy with the milkshake. The lady waiting on us offered us a high chair and even took the time to clean it off for us before giving it to us.
We each had an adult shake with sliders and salads. Everything was delicious and so fresh! My husband can't wait to get another fire honey shake (it had a chicken tender in it).
A fun place where you can eat all unshelled peanuts and popcorn free and throw shells on floor. Very pleasant waitress, full of energy and smiles even at the end of day. Large portions. Fish tasted fresh. Good veg soup
Excellent food and at a reasonable price. Service was great and it's a good atmosphere.
Albeit on a slow weekday lunch period, but while passing through on a roadtrip, they were kind enough to let us & our large senior dog dine indoors on a rainy day. Thank you for accommodating us! And the sliders were great too 😋!
This is a great little brewpub hidden in downtown Binghamton. They specialize in handcrafted gourmet slider hamburgers that are ordered on an individual basis (a good starting point for me was 2) and all sides are an additional nominal fee. They have an outstanding selection of microbrewery beers, with a fair collection of wines, and cocktails. The setting is family friendly with both indoor and outdoor seating available. They also have delivery via DoorDash. They take cash and credit. The indoor seating is mostly high metallic barstools so if you have back issues you will need to make sure that you get a table with full chair backs.
Discovered this place a few years ago. Nice little bar with a huge beer list. Proper Bloody Mary's for brunch. The services is always excellent
I’ve been coming here for years, it’s always good. There’s a large selection of IPAs, they also do cocktails, milkshakes, and spiked milkshakes. The food here is great. I love the sliders and the tots. I have been getting the sushi slider for many years, that flavor combo is my favorite, the chicken is great too. This time, as it was right around Thanksgiving, I tried their thanksgiving slider. It was a fun mix of flavors but the mash potato “bun” on the bottom was still ice cold, the rest of it was good. The tots are plentiful and I love getting a side of ranch to dip them. I’ve come here with friends, family, even an outing with the university, it’s always a good spot to visit. It’s often busy, sure you get some from BU, as expected, but also a lot of people clearly on their lunch breaks from work nearby. The place definitely supports a mixed crowd of different ages, locals, and the college crowd.
Absolutely awesome Shakes! I got the Binghamton Blackout(chocolate), not spiked, but you can booze them up if you'd like! Great variety of sliders to choose from and very reasonable prices.
Today was my first trip to Craft. I ordered the Korean pork belly and Blackbean sliders, which came tater tots. I also ordered the Binghamton Blackout shake. The Binghamton Blackout shake an all Chocolate, everything shake, is easily a favorite of mine. The Korean pork belly slider with its sweet chili glaze and pickled slaw. Had a great flavor, I wanted a little bigger piece of pork belly. The Blackbean slider with avocado and Chipotle lime aioli had a good flavor. The tater tots were crispy, and the house made ketchup was a good topping for it. Give them a try for some good food. I will definitely be back again.
We live an hour from this restaurant, and EVERY time we come to Binghamton, we have to stop and get our milkshakes and burgers!! The milkshakes are so creative, fun, and delicious! The burgers are amazing, and the best part is that you can mix and match your burgers so you can get different kinds. Love this place!
Cute cafe with excellent breakfast sandwiches and bagels. We tried the egg, cheese, sausage sandwich on a bagel and the "Brooklyn"- an egg, cheese, bacon sandwich on a buttered, toasted croissant. Delicious, fresh- just the way you expect from a cafe, but are rarely given. This was fantastic. The cappuccino and fresh-squeezed orange juice finished off the meal perfectly. It is not a huge place but obviously very popular and we had to wait a few minutes to get a table but was well worth the wait!
Craft was recommended by a tour guide at Binghamton University, said they had the best sliders. Indeed they do. I had the Korean pork belly and the chicken slider. The pork belly was tender and the overall taste was delicious. My daughter had the craft tray. I would def come back to try more .
Roomy open bar and restaurant with relaxed vibe, fresh local drafts, and speciality sliders served hot. Regulars in the lunch crowd and stragglers wandering in for a midday pint. Fried fish slider served fresh, but the falafel slider was a surprising hit. Tots came piping. Kind staff. Food and drinks arrived reasonably fast. Nice spot on a fun block downtown, with affordable parking garage real close.
First time here. The atmosphere was pretty chill. I liked the look of the whole place. The food was really good. The choose your own sliders in either a 2 pick or 3 pick was excellent. Pricing was reasonable for the amount and quality of the food. I really can not say enough of this place. Our server Mara was amazing. Even though it was busy for a Sunday, she handled almost the entire restaurant single handedly and checked on us multiple times. She is an asset to Craft!!! A+++ will be back! I gotta try the sweet potato tots!
Didn't have a problem with college kids maybe too cold? I guess we just popped in after the rush. It was really nice actually. Milkshake was delicious food was good. I'd stop back in for some foot and a drink. The cider and beer selection was really good as well. No flights but they let us try something so I wasn't really bummed.
This was my first, definitely not my last, visit to Craft on Washington Street in Binghamton, NY … this is a very cool Bar Restaurant with an atmosphere that is casual & relaxing … I went there for an early bite with Ana and was not disappointed with anything … Megan … the daytime bartender greeted us and took care of the food service too … she was delightful and genuinely interested in our complete & total satisfaction with everything … Ana and I ordered Sliders & a Side … Ana had the Double Smashed Burgers and I had 1 of those and the Sushi Slider … the only constructive criticism I have is with the Rice Bun (Rice tightly packed and deep fried) … it was very oily & needed salt … the flavor of the Sushi Slider was terrific … I would suggest a Hawaiian Bun or Japanese Milk Bread Bun both lightly toasted to hold up to the sauce … that would be perfection in my opinion … to drink I had a Cider with a kick while Ana had a Milk Shake … all was fabulous and enjoyable and I highly recommend this very fun place … LIVE LOVE LAUGH & EAT ALWAYS … 💙🇮🇱💙
Great place to get an interesting milkshake (I couldn't get one, no non-dairy options). Neat variety of sliders. I stopped here with kids but no kid menu available- they liked the milkshakes but couldn't finish them since they were so big. Our waitress didn't check in much, didn't refill water so that was unfortunate. Also there are no physical menus which is kinda odd - you need to have a phone to scan a QR code to see the menu. Probobly would have been better off just stopping in and picking up a food instead of dining in. Neat little place though.
The food is good. I have had mixed results of service. But most the waiting staff is college students so turn over is expected. I do wish the sliders were burgers or at least a few of them. But the sliders are really good anyway. Oh and I will murder for the milkshakes.
The sliders were really good basically dripping after every bite, however the fries felt over seasoned in my opinion. But the shakes were crazy good, I had the cookie dough shake and it absolutely raised my standards for a good milk shake.
Hostess + waitress were both attentive and courteous--good service. My partner had the Craft + Grilled Shroom slider, and I had the Blue Monday + Hot Chix slider. We enjoyed the burgers! However, we did split an order of the fried pickles and were kind of disappointed to realize that these were bread & butter pickles. Never have seen that before...not the worst but I feel like that could be specified on the menu considering a diner would typically be expecting dill pickles. Otherwise, pretty good!
I like the concept of the sliders and they're delicious. Love their milkshakes. Our last visit took forever to get our order and it wasn't just us. I saw a few people leave after we were there for awhile. I thought it was after they ate but I saw them later sitting at another restaurant with their meals. So, early afternoons are okay but evenings are going to be a long wait. Maybe a bad day??? I will go back again, just not around dinner time.
This place was definitely worth a try, some things were okay, and some things were amazing. Tried a bunch of different things with friends and family, waitress was so nice and patient service was 100% 10/10. The food is where it gets slightly complicated, it's a little pricey so you hope that it's worth what you are paying. I tried about 4 different sliders, two were good but not worth the price that was the regular burger meat ones, but then I tried the shrimp and sushi sliders, they were so good it made up for the other two, I mean absolutely out of this world!! Got Tatertots they were very yummy perfect crisp! I had the birthday special milkshake did not like that, but then I tried the unicorn milkshake and it was to die for. I genuinely think there food and such are delicious you just have to adventure and try things. One thing I will say is chairs were super uncomfortable, like you can't really fit into them properly and sit back, hope they maybe get another seating option or just regular chairs. Food is great though seriously give it a try, wish they were on doordash lol.
The restaurant has a beautiful old wood interior and classic pub style bar. The menu is so creative and decadent I can't stop going. You'll especially like the alcoholic milkshakes. However during even slow hours service seems to be incredibly slow and moves at their own pace (3x slower than most restaurants)
We had a mixed feelings about this place. First of all, try the Baby Kittens; it is delicious. We ordered a few sliders and this is where we had problems. All the Hot Chix sliders came cold. I don't mean they cooled down from sitting out, I mean they were cooked at some point, put into a fridge, and then served to us cold. That tells us it wasn't cooked fresh, and that's fine, but whoever put the sliders together had to have noticed they weren't warmed up. We waited a bit for the waitress to check on us, so we could say something, but I was hungry and didn't have the patience to wait and my wife lost her appetite. The Smash Sliders were great and so were the milkshakes. If we ever go back to Binghamton, I might go back here, but I'll always remember the cold food.
Highly rocmmend checking out Craft! There's a variety of delicious sliders to choose from, the tots are delish, the milkshakes are incredible, and the atmosphere is fun. They do trivia sometimes, which is a blast. Lots of beer options and cocktails to choose from. They have a garage type door they open when the weather is nice. It's a fun place to visit with good food and good service.
New and nice place to grab a pint. Their selection of beers is very good and covers a variety of local breweries. The service is quick and friendly. This is not a place to have a full meal though. Their food menu is rather limited and contains a variety of sliders, milkshakes and 3-4 appetizers. It's not that the stuff they serve are bad, because they are not, in fact they are quite tasty, it's that the portions are small, they are sliders after all. The food is there to simply compliment the beer, not as stand alone meals. If you are looking for a place to fill your belly, I wouldn't recommend it but if you are out for a drink with a little something on the side in a cozy, lovely place then you should definitely pay it a visit.
The food was amazing as always. I was kinda sad I couldn't swap out my regular tots for sweat potato tots even offered to pay an upcharge but I mean it is what it is with that. Mimosas always on point My server could care less if she was actually helping us. One time she came over said how is everything and walked away not even giving us time to answer. Why ask if you dont care. Most of the time we had to ask a neighboring server for help with something because our server again could never be found
Stopped by for lunch. My wife and I both had a couple of sliders. The sliders were seasoned well but the bun was not very good. Too much bun for the small burger. They had a good selection of tap beer. For soda, it was too flat for my taste. I would say overall the place is good but not great.
Large selection of beer - craft, draft, bottled, canned as well as cocktails. Food is good, but a bit pricey which includes their creative and tasty milkshakes, but you should try one just for the experience. There's games to play and a large projection screen and TVs if you wanna watch sports. Not sure if the music is always the same on any given day or time, but if you go on a Fri or Sat night and you like older hip hop/rap (90s, 00s) you'll be happy with the music too. Outdoor seating in the warmer months is also a plus.
Great bar for Thursday trivia night. Food is good overall. Sliders and milkshakes are tops. Fries/tots can be too heavy. Wings are not my style - I believe they add a little tomato sauce into the mix. Dislike their ranch fried pickles - the flavors don't work together. Overall, recommend, especially in warmer months.
You know this is a collegetown type of place when the menu is solely available by scanning a QR code on the table. But I found it strange that there's absolutely no non-alcoholic drinks listed anywhere on that menu. I'm usually fine with water anyway, but it just seems like a basic feature that's lacking. As far as the food, it was touch and go. Like another reviewer said, it is a bit like rolling the dice. Nothing was bad, per se, but I found extremes between mindblowingly amazing and "this is all bun" kind of flavor. So let's start with the best. The sushi slider. It's a little messy, so prepare for some fall-out, but the flavor was perfect. The soy marinade on the ahi tuna paired perfectly with the tangy pickled slaw and bun, which was like a fried rice tater tot. Crispy yet creamy and starchy. It was a match made in heaven, and I would happily go there just to order that again. The Unicorn shake was also great. Blended perfectly with a nice creamy strawberry flavor. And all the pizzazz of those stylish overfilled shakes but, thankfully, that top was just whipped cream so it was not a mess at all. We did not try it spiked, but they have those options, too, if you're interested. But do note that some people might consider these shakes a meal in themselves! It's a lot. Now for the "meh"... Basically all other sliders I tried on a bun, which were the Social Slider and the Grilled Shroom Slider. The amount of filling made it so the entire slider was fully overwhelmed by the bun. All I could taste was bun, with a hint of filling. Having tried the sushi one first, these came as a major disappointment. So considering ALL of their sliders except the sushi one has the same normal bun, I'm skeptical that I won't be disappointed coming back to try more. If you're coming here for the milkshakes, craft beer, or the sushi slider, you'll love it. Otherwise, it just seems a bit "meh". If I didn't absolutely love the sushi slider this would have easily been 3 stars.
great place. food is great, atmosphere is cool. only complain was they were busy (it was a Saturday night) and they seemed a little under staffed and their cocktail menu wasn't large, seems like their menu cateres to sharing since their drinks were more fishbowl type drinks which were delicious. otherwise, great food and drinks.
Went on a Sunday when they opened, luckily they had one table available as the rest were for reservations. This place is definitely for the college-kid type of person. I think I was the oldest one there (34!) Anyways, great menu and prices. The food tasted delicious. I recommend getting more than 1 slider. Next time I will get their milkshakes. Server was good but seemed to be annoyed for some reason. Make sure you have a smart phone to scan their menu.
The milk shakes and sliders are the popular items on the menu. The shakes were good and different from traditional shakes you find in other restaurants, but they are a little pricey. If you add liquor, that's another $4 on top. The sliders were tasty and you can order just one or multiple as you wish. The decor is rather contemporary and the front overhead garage type door can be open for a more airy street atmosphere when the weather is nice. The wait staff was pleasant and kitchen was quite efficient even on a busy Friday evening.
Good milkshakes and large beer selection. Food though was pretty rough.. Our fried pickles were not good at all and our chicken tenders looked more like fried fish the way they were breaded. The slider wasn't too bad but it was pretty small for $5. Would go back for a milkshake/drink but would not order food again.
The bartender was very nice and helpful.. The beers were great. The food was not great. The burger buns were not fresh. Almost stale. The fries were EXTREMELY salty. The prices were great. I guess you get what you paid for.
They charge extra for credit cards. This place has a nice atmosphere. They try some unique things with their burgers. Unfortunately they miss more often than they hit. The buffalo cauliflower is their best thing. It is fantastic. However, they seriously charge you a fee to use your credit card. They are overpriced to begin with. $4-5 per slider. That’s without a side. They have a good tap selection. Overall, for me, until they correct the bs extra charges and start being more reasonable, I’ll take my money elsewhere.
I ordered 3 different sliders (cod, meatball parm, and the shrimp slider with a side of fries) The cod slider is delicious, as was the shrimp patty. The french fries are scrumptious! As for the meatball parm, not so much. There is "WAY TOO MUCH OREGANO! There was an overwhelming explosion of this herb with the very first bite; could not go in for another. The price for one slider, I feel, is over priced and we had to wait 40 minutes for our order to be brought to our table. There was no explanation as to why it took so long. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try their milkshakes because of the mouthful of oregano. I heard they are phenomenally delicious. I will, at some point in time, give them a try. The sliders, I won't be ordering them again. I would definitely order the French fries again.
This was our first visit to Craft. After entering we waited by the hostess podium to be seated like the sign posted requested. Initially no one greeted us, but eventually we heard a voice from the other end of the restaurant telling us to just sit wherever we wanted. After being sat we quickly had water brought to our table and the waitress asked if we'd like to order any drinks or food. Unfortunately, the waitress wasn't very knowledgeable about the menu and had to go and ask someone in the kitchen if certain items were in stock. This occurred with almost every food/drink request we made only to find that they were out of stock of many menu items which limited our options. Then came the confusion about which sliders were on special ($3 per select sliders) that day. The information from the waitress wasn't clear. Eventually we ordered food and it was brought to the table quickly. The flavor of the milkshake, sliders and fries were very good. We enjoyed them; however, the slider bread was stale. I also find the credit/debit card surcharge (4%) a little crazy. When we were presented with the bill we found our $3 special sliders were actually $3.21 each because we were paying by card. And every other item we ordered had a 4% price increase causing the bill to be more than we initially expected. I wish the surcharge was made clearer to us prior to ordering. The restaurants atmosphere was great though. We enjoyed the Christmas decorations and the music.
Really only for college students. No adult would put up with the terrible service. Brunch plate was fine Trying to remember a worse Bloody Mary I’ve ever had but cannot. Bleech
$$. This is a small bar/contemporary restaurant on Washington Street in downtown Binghamton. Decent selection of craft beers/hard ciders on tap with a simple menu focusing on sliders, shakes, and salads and the inclusion of a few appetizers and wings. Our visit occured during late lunch hours. The restaurant was busy, but the staff was friendly and attentive and the wait times between ordering and being served were short. We focused on the slider selection on this visit. The menu structure allows for any number of 3 ounce sliders to be ordered individually with the ability to add a side for a little extra, be it chips, fries, tots, or a side salad. I ordered two sliders (Pulled pork and crispy chix) with a side of fries. While the sliders were appetizing, for the size and price I honestly expected better. The pulled pork was good enough but was a little dry and lacked the flavor one would expect from "20 hour braised pork." The crispy chicken slider was just a chicken tender neatly wrapped between the rest of the slider ingredients and was good, but underwhelming. At the end of the meal I felt that wasn't quite enough for my appetite and a third slider probably would have been enough to compare to a standard burger and fries from most other sit-down restaurants. And that leads to price. At $4 for a single basic slider (there are also specialty sliders for $6) a full meal with sliders pushes a bit into the pricey category for what you get, which would be okay if the sliders had a wow factor, but sadly these ones didn't. I cannot speak for any of the other menu items without having tried them, but a lot of patrons rave about the milkshakes (which you can order spiked with alcohol at $12 a shake) and the wings are priced on par with most other establishments, so that's good. Overall, I will likely give Craft another shot, and try a few other sliders, a salad and perhaps a milkshake next time (as long as I'm not driving). But although the service was good, sadly this time the food and cost fell short of impressive.
Let me start off by saying, if I could rate this place on the food only it would be a higher rating. Service was extremely slow and every time we had to ask for something, it felt like we were bothering the server, WHOM sat at a table in the back most of the time. I’m not sure if she was tired and overworked or just not into her job. We were not the only table who had to go to the back table where she sat to ask for our check and some boxes. Also order all the drinks you want as soon as you walk in because good luck getting any refills. My next thing is the price of the food. We definitely should’ve read the menu more closely because none of the sandwiches are full size and I believe they are actually meant to be ordered in groups almost like tacos. NOW MY BIGGEST ISSUE, this place is NOT KID FRIENDLY. No menu options for kids, no cups for kids or even typical drinks for kids….. the restrooms also are not equipped with a changing table so if your the parents of a young one just be prepared. I luckily had a pad to lay my daughter on as the bathroom was extremely unkempt and the floor was disgusting. Not to mention no trash bag in the trash can…. I’ve heard about this place for a while and really enjoyed the unique and tasty food. However, everything else seemed to be lacking big time.
i’m not really sure what was going on here. it took them 15 mins to get us water. a little odd. we got served food after being there for an hour, and it was mid at best. the chicken was cold, but it still tasted ok, and the smash slider was amazing. the atmosphere was a mish mash of chill and i don’t even know what, with music that doesn’t even match the vibe. this place has serious potential. but they need more staff! it’s ok though, our server was really nice and i may consider coming back in the future.
Really good atmosphere and friendly waitress however most of our order was too salty. The falafel slider was just warm hummus and didn’t taste authentic or pleasant. The burrata slider saved the day, it was so yummy and i loved the pesto sauce and balsamic drizzle they add. Sushi slider had too much fried rice, lil filling, and they added a bit of carrot salad there which i personally don’t think belongs on there.
Sunday brunch was here for 2 couples. The food was good, but the service was terrible. We had 12:30 reservations. We ordered our drinks & appetizer. Then it took forever for her to return with the drinks so we could order entrees. Finally, she spilled a glass of water on one guest because she wasn't watching what she was doing. Entrees arrived at 1:37. The salads were good, but in those slanted bowls that are difficult to cut in. Our friend said the sliders were good. All served on small trays that are totally unnecessary. Craft may be a fun bar, but skip it for Sunday brunch.
Thee most uncomfortable chairs we've ever sat on!!! Worst!!!!!! Being in a wheelchair I can't even get inside until they move the hostess podium.. every time!! Twas super loud so we couldn't have a conversation with each other and the burgers were overcooked, really overcooked! The service was really slow. Seemed like they were talking to each other and we usually have to wait a long time even when they're not busy... I did love the bathroom, clean and really handicap accessible, thank you.
The atmosphere is nice, but a little loud. I went with a group of friends to get some ungodly overpriced milkshakes and they weren’t even made correctly. The milkshake was about $10 and was missing an entire ice cream bar that was supposed to be inside of the shake. You might as well go to Sonic which is less than 10 minutes away to get amazing milkshakes for half the price. I’ve heard the food is good but again, you might as well go to a fast food chain to get the same quality of food for probably a quarter of the price. Don’t waste your time with this place.
The restaurant itself is super cute and has an awesome vibe. The drinks and food were pretty mid. Nothing I’d come back for aside from the shrimp and mushroom sliders. Service was absolutely terrible. Waitress had a nasty attitude the two times she did happen to make an appearance. We were in an empty place on a Tuesday night. Drinks came 10 minutes after the food only because we asked for them again 25 minutes after ordering them.
Food was delicious but our server Monique was rough. We waited 1.5hrs for our food. She forgot one of the entrees and we had to flag her down to refill waters and check on the table. She didn’t apologize for the slow service or inattentiveness. I think even a quick apology or checking in would have made such a difference! She was quick to leave after dropping things off without checking on the rest of the table. She seemed to not be listening nor paying attention. I don’t believe it was her first day but if it was, that would make sense. Hopefully management can work on better training their employees.
The short: The milkshake flavor was good. All the rest; we were less than impressed. Not somewhere I'd likely go again any time soon. The long version: We (2 adults) decided to give this place a try after seeing a Facebook post about their fabulous looking milkshakes. Monday 1pm, they weren't super busy but had about 4 other tables of 2 to 4 occupied. The food wasn't great but the Apple Crisp milkshake had a great flavor. We ordered beer battered chicken fingers (they were over cooked and dry, otherwise had a good flavor), crispy chix slider (same over cooked chicken as the chicken fingers), and totchos with the toppings on the side (they definitely weren't anything special, even with everything on them. There's no Cajun to these tots.) The most disappointing was the lack of service/customer service from the moment we walked in. On the outside it looks like a hip or trendy place to eat. Their ad drew us in. It's very rare that we walk into a restaurant and feel as if we aren't welcome or business isn't wanted. Unfortunately, today was one of those days. The look of the place created a good upbeat feel. I expected to be greeted when we walked in the door with a friendly smile, maybe a "Hey! Welcome, we'll be with you in a minute." Instead, I'm not sure either of the girls behind the bar really looked our way. They knew we walked in but didn't acknowledge us. Even once we sat down at a table, it was a good 10 minutes before they came over to even acknowledge us. They finally walked our way but only to take drinks to the table across from us, away and back again to take their order, away and back again with milkshakes to the two tables around us, away andback again to bring food out to a table... all the while not even acknowledging we were there. Nothing. Finally a waitress comes out with water and asks if we wanted other drinks (we didn't) and tried to quickly walk away without asking to take our order. Overall, the lack of eye contact, a smile, or a greeting... etc... was enough to turn us off. Combine all of it with over priced bar food that wasn't great, and it's hot somewhere I'd recommend. Definitely not what I expected of this place. Quite the let down.
Very mediocre food on the most recent trip. Took an obnoxious amount of time (around an hour) to finally get the food, and when we did everything was more or less overcooked. The burger patties were tasteless hockey pucks and very disappointing. Tater-tots were pretty good though, so stick with them.
We decided to stop by after eating dinner at lost dog to grab one of their notorious milkshakes. There were multiple open tables and we were sat very quickly. I'm not a stranger to QR codes and menus so that really didn't bother me. What did bother me, however, is that the server (who was polite and friendly at least) did not let us know that they were out of some ingredients for our shakes. These shakes cost around 10 dollars a piece, so they usually come with a "topping" - the apple pie shake comes with a piece of apple pie, cookies and cream with an ice cream sandwich, that sort of thing. The new Barbie shake was to come with a strawberry crunch ice cream bar. They brought us the bill and had us pay before the shakes came out, which might be normal, I don't frequent here enough to know. They charged us full price for all shakes, even the Barbie ones missing their "toppers". I asked a different server as ours disappeared- she said they were out and she apologized, but I let her know we weren't notified and we were charged full price. I asked if they could do anything and they didn't offer anything to make up for the missing additions. An almost 10 dollar shake missing an entire component, charged full price without notice, and no effort to be made for hospitality (especially because we paid and gave a good tip) - I wouldn't recommend it. 0/10 for the failure and complete apathy for the ripoff. Paying an exorbitant price for a novelty, you should at least get the novelty. Would have taken my tip back, except they were quick about taking the bill before we even got our shakes.
I’ve had good food here before but something has changed with the service at least. I went with some friends and our waitress was alright, we gave a good tip anyway but it took them 40ish minutes to make a few shakes (that’s all we ordered) and when they all came out they didn’t look fully made and some were missing parts of the shake (this was not mentioned to us beforehand) and when the missing elements were brought up the second waitress just said sorry we’re out and walked away without asking us if we wanted anything else of offering a refund.
I arrived at 8:45pm. Shows no kids in location after 10pm so that means the very least milkshakes should be served. I had me and my family waiting until 9:15pm to even be talked to. The ladies that were working just kept hanging around the guys that they seemed interested in and never even acknowledged me as a customer. All we wanted were milkshakes not a sour experience. Once someone finally talked to us they told me and my family my 7 yr old kid that was patiently waiting that the kitchen was closed sorry. My 7 yr old said can I please have a unicorn shake, she said we are too busy come tomorrow sorry. Make an exception not a excuse. I even have a picture where I was taking a picture of my daughter of the cool lights in the restaurant and in the background the girl can be seen sitting down with a group of guys. It's the same girl that told us the kitchen was closed after waiting for over 20 mins then she sits back down with the guys she must have known personally. Unprofessional and frankly annoying. This place needs a crash course on customer service.
Made a reservation online on their website, gave them my phone number, and got turned away at the door. I understand mishaps happen, but they should have at least called to let me know I would not be seated. I didn't eat here, so I defer to other reviews for that.
Tuesday night, we arrive just after 10pm when the restaurant closes at 1am. Expecting to sit down and have a late dinner. Wait at the front desk for 5+ minutes without anyone seating us. All the while, the two staff working just stare towards us and do nothing. Then eventually come over and tell us the kitchen is closed even through the specials board states food is available until ‘close’. Definitely won’t be coming back.
…No sooner had I partaken in a oreo milkshake’s creamy allure than a tempest most violent and unrelenting began to brew within the depths of my constitutions. What followed shall not be described other than as a catastrophic betrayal of the digestive order…….an unholy symphony of gastric distress, culminating in a bout of excruciating pain and suffering. The milkshake, seeming outwardly innocent, proved to be a harbinger of internal conflict I wish no enemy of mine would experience…..
Let’s just say I visited on a bad day. It took ages for our food to arrive, they gave us the wrong wings, forgot my order, and even charged me for the wings I returned. Since I was just passing through, I probably won’t go back. However, considering the positive reviews, it seems they might have been short-staffed that day. Just be sure to check the vibe before ordering to increase your chances of having a better experience like others have mentioned.
Disappointing service. Took an hour for our food to be served. Not overly busy at the time either. No apologies from waitress. I mean come on, thats really bad. Customers deserve better.
Manager was extremely rude and unaccommodating after a 45 minute wait for our food when it wasn’t busy. No explanation, no sorry, but we were told that she “didn’t have time” for us. Food was good, but because of one rude manager and a horribly long wait, I will never spend another dollar at that place.
