Manni's Donuts And Diner Binghamton Reviews
Always good, always friendly.
Always incredible! The donuts are delicious and it's always nice to stop by to get some, or their diner option for breakfast is also incredible! :)
The apple filled donut is yummy and the staff if quick and friendly
Theres no way to describe the warmth and charm of this diner. I have spent countless hours at the counter in the morning, I have made more lasting acquaintances than I can count, and drank gallons of their coffee. In short, if you want an outstanding breakfast experience with some lovely ladies taking care of you, where the bacon is to die for, and the donuts hand crafted at 5am every day, make mannis donuts a must-stop!
I truly love their doughnuts. Their better than Dunkin doughnuts any day. I was there picking up 2 dozen donuts. I had my infant daughter in her car seat inside with me. The lady that waited on me. Offered to watch my daughter so I could take the doughnuts out to my truck. When I got back inside. The lady and another employee also a very nice lady. Where talking to my daughter. My daughter was cooing at them having a fun time. Thank you ladies for helping me out. My daughter would have kicked the doughnuts off the seat if I tried doing it all at once. These ladies deserve a raise. Thank you again for the best doughnuts in town and the County
Reasonable price breakfast, but more importantly, best place for a delicious breakfast or lunch!!! My husband usually brings egg, bacon, and cheese sandwiches home. Today we had time to stop in. So glad we did!
Nice restaurant that produces the best donuts I have had in a long time. The other food is also very good and service is good. Folks will travel for an hour to get donuts and other great food from Manni's restaurant.
Great breakfast and very nice FOH staff! Service was excellent, oh, and the donuts were fantastic! Have to try the bagels next time.
So very nice when I go in. The best doughnuts in southern tier.
What a great surprise! Had heard about this place but had never gotten around to stopping by. Ordered breakfast sandwiches. Only took a few minutes and great they were! Place was clean and staff very helpful.
Fantastic coffee and donuts. The best I've had. Made it on my list of must stops when in Binghamton after having it during my last visit. The staff is very friendly and welcoming.
Found this place by my favorite Mexican restaurant. We dined in and the service was good. Donuts, grilled cheese and fries were delicious!
The coffee taste good and the donuts are 100% better the Dunkin donuts. Staff is very friendly is like a family place. Love it. Thank you Manni's for the awesome service.
Artisan desserts. most of these taste baked not fried. the pb and j is my fav so far. Def large enough to split. Amazing service very clean.store. Lots of selection. im not a donut person but y'all got me converted! 💙🙏
Recently moved to the neighborhood and was glad to find this little gem. I've only ordered to go so far, but on each occasion I've seen plenty of patrons. Staff is friendly, food is decently priced--hard to beat!
One of my favorite places to go when I'm in Binghamton. Friendly staff, homey environment, quick service, and absolutely delicious donuts. Worth a drop in on the way to work or on a weekend to catch up with a good friend.
Great little local dinner and doughnut shop. Went there as lot ages ago, and recently re-discovered it. Still just as good as I remember. It's tiny, the tables are tiny, but what it lacks in size it totally makes up for in character.
Best donuts in town, perhaps in the state! Get there early to get the best choices. I like the cinnamon twist...they're delicious and the size of my lower arm!
Every Upstate city has a signature doughnut place and Manni's is definitely the one in Binghamton. I love their red velvet cake doughnuts and their chocolate doughnuts are amongst the best I ever had anywhere.
Amazing cinnamon rolls! They're ginormous and you have to try them GRILLED! Also great pancakes and philly cheese steak subs!! Highly recommend this place!
Excellent donuts and breakfast in a small dinner environment. Bacon bacon bacon yum! Parking is better after 9am for a nice cafe breakfast. Fresh nagela too
Love their homemade donuts. There breakfast sandwiches are really good as well. You can't go wrong with either of those.
Best breakfast sandwich I've ever had! And the donuts are killer fresh. The staff was super nice and friendly. The small town atmosphere was relaxing. My new favorite go to place.
The best donuts! Don't bother going to Dunkin Donuts because for the same price you get way better quality donuts, muffins, bagels, and cinnamon rolls. Also has great breakfast and lunch menu staff is great.
I got an egg and cheese on an everything bagel, it was so good, the best everything bagel I've had. The peanut butter and jelly doughnut is delicious too, can't wait to try the other doughnuts!
After reading many many reviews mostly all great reviews few bad but those are people you're just never going to satisfy anyways. Finally stopped in got some donuts to bring home had some breakfast. Everything and I mean everything from the donuts to the service to the breakfast.. OUTSTANDING!!! If I could give Manni's 100 Stars I would as a matter of fact I think I will!! 💯 * OUTSTANDING!!!!!
Best donuts I've had in decades. What a nice surprise. The basic glazed is the way to go: you can actually taste the flavors of the ingredients other than sugar. Great job, Manni's! Thanks!
Friendly environment for sitting down in or quick serving for on the go take out. Would highly recommend for quick and simple breakfast and coffee.
We went for breakfast for the first time today after a horrific experience at Dunkin Donuts last week and let me say, I wish we had discovered this place sooner! The food was great and the prices are reasonable. The service was good even though they were packed. If you are sick of the burnt food, wrong orders, and snotty attitudes that you get at the South side Dunkin Donuts, give Mannys a try, you won't be disappointed!
When I was a kid growing up in Binghamton we ate bread and donuts from D'Lashes bakery (forgive the spelling). They're jelly donuts were incredible and after many decades I've never forgotten them or thought I'd ever have another like it - until today. Manni's donuts are real donuts, handmade by bakers who know their craft well (not mass produced). Bottom line...Manni's donuts are amazing! Try the cinnamon rolls.
The freshest donuts around and the best tasting, in the morning you can smell them baking as you enter. Even with a franchise donut shop across the street. Manni's donuts are supreme. Now I want a donut going over there right now.
Mannis Donuts are awesome, very tasty and many flavors to choose from and always fresh. Their breakfast sandwiches are very delicious and my family goes almost every Sunday to pick them up. Highly recommend.
Waitress was amazing but I didn't catch her name. Personally know manni because I loved next to him at one point and never actually stopped in to eat there till a week ago. It was very comforting and family oriented and quiet and didn't set my anxiety off like normal restaurant's do. Definitely a 5 star. Y'all are amazing.
BEST red velvet doughnuts 😍 relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. It's like going to eat at mom's house. Lunch and breakfast options are solid and well priced. Will visit again soon!
Great donuts and probably the most diner-y diner I’ve ever been to! The prices are crazy affordable too, honestly can’t beat it.
hidden gem. classic diner, young staff was friendly and attentive, good price, weak but tasty coffee, fresh donuts if you get there in time. Get the hash browns
Best breakfast, lunch, and donuts in the southern tier. Personally I say they have better bagels than best bagels, but to each their own.
Best donuts in town. Come early for the best selection. Also, seriously, good breakfast sandwiches.
I love this little diner! Have always gotten really good food and they make the BEST doughnuts around. The staff is always the same people, who are friendly and efficient. DD down the street has nothing on Manni's.
Very friendly service, excellent food. Great place to eat. Recommend to anyone.
Excellent donuts and quick, friendly service.
I stopped by randomly when the store I needed to go to was closed, and I was happy for such coincidence. The place is all about food and friends, and you can see how everyone knows everyone. Table seating were limited but there was the bar. They have their donuts with their special flavors as well. Easy parking and good food.
Loved their Omelette. I can not eat cheese. Omelette had green peppers, onions, and Ham! Delicious and Omelette on outside Not greasy! Many diners in our area serve Greasy Omelettes. Potatoes browned and cut up in size, 'average' biting size. Delicious with ketchup. Also, English muffin fantastic, as I only like 'dark toasted English muffins', not burnt but 'almost'. Excellent! Other diners give me the muffin looking white and NO toast marks! Boo on all of them! Ladies are all lovely there and usually it's rare to see such a happy 'female' group. All the Ladies are excellent, and I noticed filled in for another immediately, as mine left while I was still eating. Will BE Back! Reasonable prices I can see why there are so many contractors there in the morning! Excellent food, Awesome & friendly waitresses! I will Be Back! Bless all of you! ♡
Friendly staff, good selection of donuts. My only note is, I wish they put the paper between each individual donut rather than using one paper to grab all the donuts when you order multiples. The icing tends to melt and get everywhere. Otherwise, really good stuff.
Love this place... my kids go to Bing so I've been coming here for YEARS and this is the only place I eat breakfast. The food is good, reasonably priced & i can't leave without a donut. I love them 💗
Their donuts are exceptional. I always get the Vanilla Angels...my favorite! Also the cinnamon coffee rolls. Breakfast here is great also, but come here once a month or so for a donut run. On the weekends go earlier in the morn for best selection. Go, you won't be disappointed
Donuts are fresh and taste great. Employees are friendly and kind. Only issue, they charge $1.30 per donut and $7.99 for a half of a dozen. This math doesnt add up! A half dozen should be less per donut than a single donut! A dozen donuts is $15.00.
I used to live in Cortland and so swinging by Manni's for donuts wasn't too far of a trip. After someone recommended stopping by for the donuts, it quickly became my #1 favorite spot to get donuts in NY. Specifically the PB & Jelly donut. I haven't been here in over a year, so I'm not sure if they still have that specific donut, but couldn't recommend stopping here more.
The cashier was friendly and chatted with me. As I waited, some of the regulars came in and they celebrated seeing each other as they saw one another approaching the door. This is a fun donut shop. Not to me to mention their breakfast sandwiches are perfect in every way.
You can tell it’s a place where the locals go to chew the fat. I love that small town feeling in a big(ish) city. Also… and most importantly…. Best Boston cream donut I’ve ever had in my life.
Place seemed very busy when we walked in, which means they're doing something right. Didn't mind having to wait, because it's kind of the norm now, and really the two servers they had up front were swamped, so it wasn't a big deal. Once she had our order in it was fast, tasty and the donuts were incredible. Great job.
Knew this place was here for a while now and just now stopped in for the first time the waitresses were super polite and joking with the older group at the counter enjoying their coffee and food. Got 2 bacon egg and cheese on a bagel and got a GINORMOUS cinnamon roll that was as big as my face. Their doughnuts looked really good didn’t try them yet but I’ll defiantly be back to try some in the near future.
Their food is INCREDIBLE and the prices are literary unbeatable. Their donuts are also remarkable. Dunkin Donuts is super close by, but if you’re looking for food or donuts, Manni’s is more affordable and WAY better
These are some of the best donuts I have ever had.
This is my absolute favorite breakfast place in Binghamton. They have the best thick marble rye and the best home fries, and everything is priced so low it feels like we always get a bargain. And don't get me started on the donuts, they are exquisite. I give this place my highest recommendation.
OH my goodness what an absolute gem! We stopped at the EV charging station near Mirabito looking for a place for breakfast or early lunch. What a meal for such an affordable price! And the donuts? Oh my goodness I can’t….The Boston creme was terrific, but for me, the peanut butter and jelly donut was, my goodness for the third time. Totally worth the trip. Service was excellent too and my omelette delish. But did I mention the donuts? (I won’t say it again)…
Good food selection and the donuts are always restocked so fresh comes out
I’ve lived in the area for a month and had Manni’s at least six times 😂 Great donuts and an office favorite. If there’s something (anything) to celebrate, somebody will inevitably go pick up a few boxes of donuts and then we’ll fight over the maple ones. Worth it!
If these aren't the best donuts in the Southern Tier I implore someone to tell me what I'm missing. This is a fantastic little dinner. It's always a bit crowded but not overhelemingly so. Their pancakes are excellent!
Breakfast is amazing, the sweets treats are delicious specially the Boston cream doughnut and cinnamon twist.
Love this place. Best breakfast in town. Super nice staff. A real hometown feel with locals and newbies alike. Reasonably priced. Veggie omelet was perfect. Homefries nicely seasoned. Coffee was hot and cup always full. We usually take home some tasty, fresh donuts to savor later in the day. Highly recommend. Ditch the chain restaurants and support mom and pop places like this!
Absolutely the hole in the wall to go to for inexpensive delicious dinner food and donuts. It was my first time going and the staff were marvelous, the seats comfortable, and the food was so good. Would totally recommend to anyone who hasn't tried this place before, because anyone who has been here before knows how good it is.
All I have to say is Yum, if ur looking for something like Dunkin’ but better come here 2 small hot coco 1 donuts and 1 warp and a sandwich was all $18!!! What steal in this day and age 💪💪😫 the only thing I feel is that they can improve on is service. I didn’t feel very welcomed, but it was very good besides that.🥹 has always been a favorite 🤩 also this place is not busy at all and the service is always fast. Also, the hot drinks have always been my favorite because they’re so sweet and delicious not watery.☕️☕️
Stopped at this nice little spot called mannis donuts while in the area, so happy we did!! The breakfast and coffee was absolutely amazing , after breakfast we took a bunch of homemade donuts to go! the most delicious donuts ever. The staff and people in there were so welcoming and nice! Will be back here for sure when back in town!!! 10/10 highly recommend!!!
The best donuts in New York State, they are truly homemade, so soft and big and if you like stuffed donuts you will love these, they are fat with filling. My wonderful husband drove 22 miles to get these for me, he said they were worth the trip. Thank You Manni for making donuts so delicious.
My sister has been visiting, and she asked where to pick up a good donut/bagel I said Manni's. She has gone daily for a couple weeks, and thanky you Manni's you do not disappoint.
Relaxed, country neighborhood kind of atmosphere. I was first introduced to this place a few years ago working at a HessMart () little north of Binghamton. Remember those? (What a miserable job that was.) The donuts will make you forget about those chain shops you see everywhere. Manni's freshness and quality can't be beat, or even matched. They also have a well rounded menu of hot food made quickly right in front of you...a practice rapidly fading into obscurity. The price point...you have just entered the land that time forgot. Reminds me of going to the local diner as a child. I don't see how anyone could leave Manni's Donuts disappointed.
Honestly theres not a better breakfast place in binghamton. Their donuts are great and so are their egg sandwiches. The only reason im giving it 4 stars is because about 9 months ago, for some unknown reason, they started making me put my own ketchup on my bacon egg and cheese sandwiches. They told me it was because they didnt have ketchup in the kitchen which doesnt make a whole lot of sense but i just let it slide because their food is so good.
Delicious local donuts. Small shop with the option to take out meals. Went on a Sunday morning for breakfast and had a long wait for food...seemed like lots of takeout orders were being made and picked up. Food was good. Donuts are a must!
Great attitude by staff, great donuts. They are almost always packed for seating during breakfast hours on the weekend. (Which is great for business but ends up turning away at least a few people due to lack of space) I have personally had their breakfast food and their donuts (donuts are a class in their own right) their breakfast as others have stated can lack in size. The donuts are the best I've ever had, just wish they could put them in a box to prevent them from getting all over in a bag.
No frills diner, which also serve great donuts. Small amount of tables but a counter than can probably seat 12. Went there on a Saturday morning and ordered 2 eggs with bacon, home fries and white toast, a water and an orange juice. Prices are great and the food is solid. I can’t give 5 stars for a couple of reasons. Toast, as you can see on the picture was pretty burnt. I have been to many diners and this one I was disappointed with the fact, they served the water directly from the tap in front of me with about 3 small cubes of ice vs maybe filling a jug up at the start of the day, filled with ice and then serve it from there. A small thing but perception and optics are huge. Ladies were super nice and helpful, service was great. Would definitely return as bang for your buck this place is worth a visit.
The donuts are pretty good and the service is nice. I'm not used to Diner style food so when I brought an egg and cheese biscuit and was disappointed and underwhelmed at the taste of it, now like I said I'm not one to eat Diner food but that's just how I feel about it.
If you like little local diner type shops over chain locations this is for you. All in all, it's a whole lot of average. Donuts are good, breakfast sandwiches are good (didn't try lunch) I would rate the donuts as equal to dunkin.
Don't let me disturb you from telling your story. If that wasn't bad enough you crumpled up my bag like it was a cheap beer. Not to pleased. The best thing about this visit was the donuts are delicious.
Drove three hours to visit my mother in an area healthcare facility. Stopped here for breakfast. Excellent veggie omelette, coffee and counter service. Left and almost 30% tip. This is actually a doughnut shop. The donuts look great! Thought it would be a kind gesture to bring donuts to the staff serving my mother. Requested three dozen assorted donuts. Was told by a different person than the one who served me breakfast, “next time call a day in advance.” Gave her a separate $5 tip for what she made obvious was her trouble to serve me. As I should have expected, on payment there was not even a “thank you” for my business or her tip. My farm raised father said, “even pigs grunt when you feed them.” I discovered on leaving, there is a Dunkin’ Donuts almost immediately across the street. Maybe, they would be more appreciative of the business and gratuities.
Food and donuts are always amazing. Staff are very kind. Wasn’t super impressed with the owner a couple times seeing how he talks to staff. (Bad day maybe?) and during Covid he wasn’t using gloves when touching and preparing food. A little unsettling but haven’t gotten sick yet! If you go, try the sour cream donuts. Very good.
Waiter was awesome, doughnut selection wasn't the greatest for being 9am on a Sunday. Breakfast Crossaint was good. The home fries were cold and old tasting. The wife said the Veggie Burrito was good but bland. I was a Breakfast Cook for over 20 years. Was a little disappointed with the place
Not exactly the greatest service when you are buying donuts but the donuts are very good nevertheless. I was a bit puzzled when the employee made a point to ask me to sign for the amount on the receipt but then I realized she was probably hinting that I leave her a tip for packing 6 donuts in a box and stuffing a fritter in a bag?
Go in for the doughnuts? don't bother with the coffee don't bother with the food!! they ran out of my time to deliver a toasted bagel I had to walk out.. frustrating should have went to Dunkin across the street
I usually order and take food out. The last two times I've gotten breakfast. Well the potatoes were hard like they had been cooked and then sat there and then when ordered heated back up. The toast was also very hard and crunchy. I was very disappointed.
Food was delicious. Service was awful. Had to take my meal to the counter for a take out container since the waitress never returned while another one stood around. Was charged a couple of extra bucks than should have been. No way to prove it since they don't provide detail receipts.
It's not Manni's anymore, it's Birtchy's. I had coffee and needed cream. They had a metal creamer container with leftover creamer in it and almost empty. I asked for fresh creamer, and the person poured new creamer in the same container. I asked for a fresh creamer because that one was sitting there almost empty. The woman said, " No. It's good. It's non dairy." I cancelled my coffee order. I had sausage gravy and biscuits, mostly biscuits and Litt sausage and gravy. It has certainly changed since Manni's sold it.
Ordered a western omelet with hash browns and I got burned hard peices of potato, then when I walked up the pay I look over and their is a big plate of fresh good looking hash browns?? Not to mention the coffee was like water, the doughnut was good tho
I used to go to Manni’s almost daily years ago, and then left the area for some years Well I am back , and boy have things changed at Manni’s I went online and called to place an order. The waitress was very stressed out and got aggravated because I asked for the items on the menu. Furthermore I ordered two 12 inch subs and got I guess an eight inch. Also a large irder of fries which were sliding around in their own grease so I popped them in the oven so they could finish cooking. This was the worst experience I had with a restaurant since I don’t even know when. Needless to say never again
Used to go here all the time. Not anymore! You feel a weird vibe when you enter and try to find a place to sit. Then the usually rude staff brings your bland tasteless food. Last time we went, the waitress stood at the front and made us come up to the counter to get our stuff and huffed and snorted at us.
TODAY WAS A SHOCKER! For more than 2 years I have eaten at Manni's mainly for breakfast. A favorite was the Southside Slammer which included pancakes. From day 1 I asked for the pancakes to be well and sometimes very well done. If I did not do that they get served with no color and typically under cooked. Probably around a dozen times over two years I had to send back pancakes to be put back on the grill to add color and be cooked through and through. Today was one of those days. When the cook, owners son, brought out the recooked pancakes he asked if they were okay. I said yes. I then asked him why when he cooks the pancakes initially they are not left on the skillet long enough to add color and cook all the way through. He took this as an insult I think. His response was "I do not want to burn them." As he walked away he said "if you do not like them don't come back here." REALLY! That is how you treat a customer who has faithfully patronized your business for more than 2 years. NOT HAPPENING! RUDENESS and food service do not mix. I will go somewhere else and make sure everyone I know and meet in Binghamton understands how Manni's treats people when they order something specific [in this case COOKED PANCAKES!].
Read reviews, thought misspelling Donut was cute. Stopped in on Sunday, ordered a few breakfast sandwiches, sides, and coffee to go. Requested crisp bacon and dry eggs with extra cheese on all (heard waitress fire to kitchen) to keep everyone home happy as I was traveling back to Endicott as I do every Sunday morning. Sides were good. Appeared they split one egg among all sandwiches and one piece of bacon per and no extra cheese (paid)on burned bagels. FYI, Sysco eggs run about $.10 cents each, lay flat bacon is $.22 cents per slice so it was sad to open them up and see 1/2 egg maybe (was dry) and bacon that could been used as a worm for fishing it was so undercooked. I did not have a Doughnut so I hope they rock those, skip the sandwiches. Next time I will just go to the Bagel place nearby. Wasted time, effort, and money. May want to tighten up the line person, or not. Sorry but F&B is not rocket science.
Never had a problem before. Today will be my last day I ever walk back in to this establishment! I walk in! Lady and I are singled out ( by a long time waitress) loud and clear! One because of wearing a mask two because of race highly disappointed and disgusted in way the waitress acted. This waitress has no shame in what she says or facial expressions. I am a nurse and we love the donuts. Unfortunately will never spend another dime in this place!
For a place with decent food Its SAD you can't substitute out your pork items for non pork. I was told I need to make a whole side purchase for a swap out of meat (hash) however I was still being charged full price for the meal without the meat plus a additional charge for a side item (hash) that technically was suppose to replace my meat CAN WE SAY MAJOR RIP OFF! I'll take my chances elsewhere instead of being ripped off because I don't eat pork and the Owner can care less to make changes to accommodate the NON PORK EATING customers ... Definitely losing a regular because I'm tired of arguing with staff about this problem!
Never had such a negative experience in my life. I was meeting a new housemate for lunch with my friends. The server was so mean to us that it completely ruined our time and we left dumbfounded. she was incredibly passive aggressive and was hovering around our table, waiting for us to leave the near empty place. To add insult to injury, literally forced us to pay for stuff we didn't get. Still had no idea what could've made that waitress behave that way, but it's one of life's mysteries. Never going back.
Go elsewhere. The wait staff reeks of cigarettes. They only cater to the old people at the counter, and will not make a COLD SANDWICH before 11 am... What diner does that? Thankfully Jane's diner on Conklin rd never let's you down. Clean place, clean staff, and I got my turkey sandwich... Don't waste the time going here.
The only good thing I can say is that the prices were cheap but for that we got a waitress that didn't care way overcooked scrambled eggs the toast barely touched the toaster with days old bread. The waitress couldn't seem to get us silverware and by the time she did our overcooked eggs were cold and the hash browns were way undercooked. As for the donuts I'll stick to Duncan thank you.
