Jaspers Cafe Bluff Dale Reviews
Well worth the drive! Each of the 4 of us ate a different burger and we each left with a to-go box because we didn’t want to leave anything behind. Tumbleweeds were a fantastic appetizer (2 in the to-go box). Even the onion rings were perfect. Spoil someone and take a short drive in the country. You will add it to your quarterly restaurant rotation.
What an amazing hidden little gem! The ENTIRE EXPERIENCE was so good we want to plan a return with our friends and family. Quail was delicious! Wagon Wheel is delicious! HOSPITALITY AMAZING! Thank you so much!
Lovely quant little place. Good servers and omg the burgers were so awesome my only complaint was I couldn't try more than one 😂 (small tummy). The fries / potatoes curl wedges I'm not sure what to call em were the most amazing soft but crispy texture that makes you drool. Definitely will be back.
Wonderful food!!! We ate there twice while staying in the area for 3 days. Their Blue Garlic Burger with axis deer meat was superb. Not gamey tasting at all. We ate the tumble weed appetizer. Delicious. The turkey sandwich with the rosemary sourdough bread was amazing. Their pizza was the best pizza we’ve had. Not too much sauce or too sweet. Fresh toppings. All their food was delicious. I highly recommend. We had our dog with us and they allowed us to eat on the patio with her. Thank goodness for pet friendly places!! That’s a definite plus!
Stopped here for lunch between Benbrook and Desdemona....holy-moly what a find!!! Cheeseburgers, fries, rings were all top-notch and the fried cheese...O.M.Goodness !!!!!!! Great staff and the owner circulates between tables making you feel like family. We will make this drive often !!!
My brother had his usual 3:10 to Bluff Dale with onion rings and I had the lunch version of a Reuben with salad. As usual, everything was top notch delicious and served with a smile. Jasper's is a semi-regular haunt for us because they always deliver. Lots of choices for meats (though I am sorry to see pork chops are no longer on the menu) and drinks. The sides are excellent too. Don't pass this place by!
An awesome craft burger place, I was surprised by how good their salads are. Not the standard dinner salad with cheap iceberg lettuce, but hearty salad with spinach lettuce or spring greens. Their pizzas are the best in the area, gotta get your order in early though, they run out of pies quickly.
This place is great, and is well worth the drive. The restaurant is very rustic with a casual charm, but with food that is way above just a country cafe, the food is more gourmet, than just country. I came with 5 other men and we all ordered hamburgers, all different and they were spectacular. The owner spent time with us and even took a picture with the group I was with. They have a small selection of wines, multiple beers and Dublin sodas to choose as a drink. Deserts come from the Pie Peddler in Glen Rose, and the Turtle cheesecake pie I had was eaten in short order. The menu had something for everyone , but with a little more pazazz, including exotic game as a choice for the burger patty, pizza, sandwiches, salads and regular menu items like Dr. Pepper chicken, or Salisbury steak. I plan to return, for dinner with my wife, as I have my eye on the Elk tenderloin steak dinner.
I came in on a Sunday morning, quickly found a table and my order was promptly taken. It's a little pricey but the food is outstanding and our waitress was very nice and I believe you get what you pay for and it is very much worth it. I will definitely be coming back to try more items from the menu
Great food, friendly staff, wonderful service! Best barbecue chicken pizza that I've ever had. The owner has created a very positive atmosphere. He talks about how grateful he is to have such a good staff. Leadership is so important.
The place has the best burgers. The atmosphere was great.. I'm assuming it was the owner who walked in, literally talk to every person in the place, offered to get refills, to go drinks, and make sure everyone's order was great and asked what they ate. He was truly concerned and wanted to be a part of his business and want to make sure that everyone's experience was the best. It's nice to see that kind of customer service..
This was a first for us. We loved the Down home feel of the cafe. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating. We loved the extensive menu with wild game. I had the Elk Medallion meal and my husband had the Deer burger smothered in blue cheese. Both were delicious. The owner stopped by our table to chat and ask about our food and if it was cooked the way we liked. We loved the whole experience and plan to return again.
If you hear a big boisterous hello the millisecond you walk in the door, you know it's going to be a great place right?!!! Thank you John and your team for your hospitality today - it was such a treat meeting you and enjoying our delicious meal. You definitely know we'll be back in 30 days but I'm coming back for the chicken fried steak Sir!
Omgoodness it was amazing! I didn’t expect to find this hidden gem. The melted app of cheese was beyond what I expected, the axis burger Big Jim French was one of the best burgers Iv ever had! The beer is ice cold…. To top it off they have the sweetest waitress Haley! She will try and help you decide what to order, but now I just want to go back and order it all!!!
This was our 1st time here. We heard several people say great things about it. We happened to be in the area and it was lunchtime. Everything we tried was great. Wagon wheel appetizer, burgers and sandwich. It might change to 5 stars the next time in, there were just to many things left to try! We will definitely be back.
The food here is very good and very unique. The service was super friendly and fast. One important noteworthy item, their water has a strange order and taste. Their ice is obviously made with the same water, therefore giving the iced tea and fountain drinks the same taste and order. There was a local lady eating at the table next to us and she confirmed the same. She said it's just the way the water is. The food and service is fabulous, but the drinks were a huge distraction from that.
We walked right in and sat down immediately. The waitress was friendly and took our order. We ordered the fried pickles for an appetizer, which were delicious! There must have been a mixup in the kitchen because one of the other workers came out and tried to take our order again and then brought another order of fried pickles and then saw that we already had ours, so quickly turned around and went back to the kitchen. We waited about 30 minutes for our 2 burgers to come out after that. We were asked to move tables to accommodate a large group of people, which was not a problem with us, but maybe added to the confusion of our order. The food was hot and tasted good. The menu had several varieties of meat to choose from. I ordered grilled chicken with bacon. The bacon was cooked perfectly! The sweet potato fries were a little overcooked but soggy at the same time, they still tasted ok. I'd be willing to go again to try something different.
