Absolutely loved our dinner experience here. We did some research while visiting Boston, looking for a great steakhouse for a date night and we definitely found it. The ambiance was exactly what we were looking for and the service was excellent. It is dimly lit, but we didn’t mind. The food was amazing! We started with the wagyu dumplings which were delicious. I ordered the American wagyu cap, and my girlfriend ordered the bone-in ribeye. Both ordered medium, and both cooked to perfection. Hands down the best steak I’ve ever had and I’m not exaggerating! My pictures don’t do it justice lol I’ve been to quite a few steakhouses but this was the best cut I’ve ever had; and cooked perfectly. Served with this incredible in-house butter to let melt on top, which I highly recommend doing. We also ordered a side of tater tots and creamed spinach. All super tasty! And I would highly suggest saving room for dessert if you have a sweet tooth. We ordered the milk and cookies it was absolutely heavenly. Overall, incredible experience and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a lovely steakhouse dinner.

Everything was spectacular, again!! We had the Ceviche, Calamari, Chocolate Cake, Milk and Cookies, All three flavors of sorbet (cider, black raspberry, and lemon), and the sea salt fries. I also included photos from our last visit, where we had the wagyu cap steak, roasted carrots, crème brûlèe, bananas foster, and winter citrus tart. Our server Damon was exceptional once again, and we will be returning whenever my mom comes back in town.

Came to Mooo for our anniversary dinner while we visited Boston for the weekend. Service from Damon was attentive and knowledgable. Food was really top tier! Ambience is warm and perfect for a date night. Would absolutely recommend if you’re looking for a high end steak house. We ordered the bone marrow appetizer, we split the wagyu cap and prime aged ribeye, with lobster Mac and whipped potato’s. We got the milk and cookies for dessert. Highly recommend the cap!

I had an excellent meal at Moo....Beacon Hill with my friends. The service from the each and everyone of the staff's was amazing, they really out did themselves and showed care for everyone of the customers. The food was truly amazing I enjoyed the tuna tartare, and the Prime NY sirloin the most and so many other amazing dishes. Definitely would recommend this anyone, looking forward to enjoying this again soon!

Best steakhouse in Boston. Service amazing. The steak tartare (smoky version) is out of this world. I also recommend getting the Wagyy cap, really worth it. As sides the lobster Mac & cheese and wedge are really good.

What an unexpected and wonderful dinner! We hadn’t planned on eating at Mooo but ended up at the bar, and it was such a great choice. Everything we ordered was excellent, the steak was perfectly cooked and just melted in the mouth, the carpaccio was full of flavor, and even the carrots were a standout.

excellent food, excellent wait staff and chefs. my partner and i arrived a bit early but were able to sit at the bar for about 20 minutes and the bartender was wonderful, explained a little of the menu to us with some recommendations and answered some questions. the drinks were all amazing. the food was excellent. the steak was cooked medium rare perfectly, and i didn’t expect anything less. i’m glad i came here with extremely high expectations and they all were met exceedingly

Gorgeous place for cocktails and oysters. Paige was our bartender. She was sweet, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. Thank you for such a glamorous experience!

The service was outstanding. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. I ordered the rustic corned beef hash, and it was easily one of the best I’ve ever had. My husband enjoyed his omelette and was equally impressed. I mentioned in our reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary, and we were delighted to receive a complimentary dessert. Just a heads-up: a 20% service charge is automatically added to the check.

In short, awesome steak and service! Sat at the bar on a weekday night Celtics were playing as I did not have a table reservation. Bar got crowded fast but the bartender (Katherine?) was awesome handling the bar. Tried the prime ribeye medium rare but charred and it was perfectly grilled with a beautiful char and medium rare - kudos, as every backyard grill master knows, that is really tough to do correctly. Vodka Martini was perfect. The sides I chose were tater tots upon the bartenders recommendation and the fresh sauteed spinach. The taters are unlike any I've tried before - almost like hush puppies but made just with potato. They had grated cheese and a dipping sauce that was perfect. Spinach was fresh and perfectly sauteed but a little salty. The espresso martini was a perfect end to the meal - far less sweet and better tasting than the usual ones.

Swift and friendly service. Cozy atmosphere. Awesome food. Steaks are top tier, but I usually opt for the rack of lamb, which is incredible here. The salads are very good too- especially the wedge salad, which comes with tones of thick crispy bacon and plenty of fresh blue cheese. Desserts are great too. Got the seasonal citrus tart which was light and not sweet. Nice balance. Grill 23 and Moo are the only worth while steak houses in Boston and I look forward to coming here again and again

Celebrated a birthday at Mooo…. Beacon Hill and had a fantastic experience! They surprised us with a special birthday menu and sweets, which made the day extra memorable. The food was top-notch, don’t miss the meat dumplings! Big thanks to Lucas for the excellent and professional service.

I can’t say enough about this place. My husband and I started a tradition several years back where we travel to Boston (our favorite city) for our anniversary. I’m a steak girl so we treat ourselves to what we believe will be the best we can get on our actual anniversary. This year we decided to try Moo.. Beacon Hill. Man was that a good decision. From the friendly and warm greeting from the hostess, the welcome and anniversary recognition from the restaurant manager, the water glass that never emptied, the personalized menu in honor of our anniversary, and the most wonderful server (Nelson) I think we’ve ever had… I have to say the service was the best! In a place that’s a bit out of our league we felt so welcomed and honored. We started our meal with Waygu beef dumplings. Wow! So flavorful..the lovely young lady who never let our water glasses get half emptied suggested we dip the divine complementary dinner rolls in it… oh yeah! Good stuff! I ordered steak and my husband ordered salmon- both were ridiculously delicious. The sauce on my steak took it to another level and I didn’t need a knife for that steak! We had the “tots” and mashed potatoes as well as corn succotash. Everything was delicious. Don’t be confused - those are not tater tots! We were so full but had to finish our dinner off with the hot made to order cookies and Moo Milk. If I have to loosen my belt it was worth it! Thank you for this amazing dining experience. You were all as amazing as your food and we look forward to seeing you next summer!

Visited Mooo…. last night to celebrate a friends birthday and kick off our trip to Boston on a good note. Little did we know that Mooo…. would greatly exceed our expectations and set the bar very very high, in the best way possible. It’s not often that I go to a very high-end establishment, but Mooo…. was the perfect choice to fill that need and indulge in something more over the top than the average dining experience. From start to finish, everything was perfect. From the way the kind host sat us at our table and fixed the table’s dress to accommodate our own seating arrangement, and the gentleman that continuously had our water glasses filled and wasn’t afraid to make small talk with us and even crack a few jokes. Then comes the service… should I say hospitality, better yet. Mauricio took care of us, and he nailed everything down to the way he carried himself, not only just to us but to his other guests in the restaurant. As someone who works in the industry myself, I tend to notice the very little things, and it was apparent that Mauricio does too, that is something that I sincerely appreciate. He seemed to have a very well rounded understanding of the menu, and gave us his input and recommendations on courses and cocktails. At the end of our service, we were able to speak with Ryan, who to which I believe is a manager at Mooo…. Ryan not only queried us about our dining experience, but also gave his own personal thoughts on being a Boston native and living the city life. This establishment runs on real people providing a real experience that seems like it can only be curated at Mooo…. And the truth is, it really only can be THERE, and their team knows that and takes pride in it. I’m much more well-versed in steps of service compared to a curated menu. In many cases of today, high scale restaurants will give amazing service to compensate for any lacking in the menu, and vice versa. It can be difficult to hit both. But, not here. To say this was the best meal of my life is an understatement, but I can’t find the words to describe it otherwise. The food always came out hot and fresh, and I’ve never ever in my life had a steak cooked more perfectly. The price point for their steaks in the grand scheme is honestly not bad for the dedication they put in for cooking them to perfection. Everyone at my table commented on how it was the perfect sear and temperature. Then came the sides, which were all absolutely delicious, filled with flavor in every single bite, the Lobster Mac being my favorite of the ones we tried. You must try the Wagyu meatballs as an appetizer and dip the house bread in the leftover soy sauce, it was to die for (thanks, Mauricio!) Cocktails were absolutely delicious, packed with balancing flavors and garnished with love and precision. The ambiance of Mooo…. says a lot in itself. Dimmed for dinner, quiet but still bustling with happy and full guests, and not a speck of dirt or crumbs on the floor or walls or anything. The restrooms were clean as a whistle and you could view the wine cellar downstairs, which was pretty cool. Mooo…. is a place where you are going to be paying for both food and experience. For quality and effort. After spending some time here, I’ve realized that they are more that worthy of charging what they do. Many reviews point out that things can be a little pricey, but for the portion sizes and the effort that goes into getting your meal in front of you, it’s worth it. I will recommend this spot forever now if you’re wanting to dine somewhere and simply just get taken care of the entire time you’re there. They make it seem easy!

If you are looking for a nice Steakhouse you have to check out Mooo. We came here for our anniversary and it was perfect! The service was top notch and the food was incredible! The bread was absolutely delicious and we had to hold ourselves back from ordering more. The presentations of the oysters was great and they were delicious! It did take a while for our steaks to come out but once they did they were devoured! Absolutely recommend the filet with a side of mashed potatoes. We were too full for dessert but they brought us over their chocolate covered marshmallows which was the perfect mini sweet treat. I highly recommend coming here!!

Food was top notch - exactly as you’d expect. Tuna tartare was exceptionally good. Bone marrow was fantastic. Steaks were perfectly cooked. Staff brought out a dessert, as we were celebrating a birthday and we also got the freshly baked cookies (you will be happy you got them). If I had to complain about anything, and this is barely a complaint, it’s that the atmosphere was a bit sterile. Nothing wrong with it, as it’s on par with any top notch steak house, but if I had to be critical of anything there was not much character. Overall it was a fantastic experience.

It is a French inspired steakhouse. Beef Wellington was one of the best food that I have ever eaten in my life! Flavor of foie gras blended perfectly with the beef Wellington and both of them shined. Sirloin steak with bone marrow butter was so flavorful. I can say the food, service and ambiance were all perfect. Thanks so much for making our anniversary so special. Truly amazing experience!

Mooo....Beacon Hill provided us with the best experience as my wife and I were celebrating our wedding day and 7 year anniversary. Everyone was very friendly and sweet and they were able to provide us with an intimate cozy spot which was perfect for us to be present with each other. Our waiter was very nice, attentive and friendly and made the night special for us. Although I don't drink he brought out something I can toast with and provided us with a lovely dessert that celebrated both occasions. The food was great and tasty and my wife and I felt seen and celebrated from the beginning to end of our experience.

High end statehouse located in the heart of Beacon Hill and steps away from the State House, I could just go to Mooo for the buttery bread and I would be completely satisfied. Pleasant and attentive staff, large selection of wine, spirits and cocktails. Its a gem for steak lovers. We celebrated a birthday there and was quite impressed of how well the staff made the time special. Will definitely visit again.

I came here with my friend and her parents for a Mother’s Day breakfast. The restaurant was very classy and clean. The servers were polite and attentive. The food was presented beautifully and tasted phenomenal. I was very impressed with this restaurant. It definitely met my expectations and I highly recommend it.

Recently I visited Mooo for a private event in the downstairs wine room. The food was perfectly prepared, as one would expect from a restaurant of this caliber, and service was as always impeccable. The dessert trio was perfection. There is a lot adjacent to the restaurant, but I usually park at the Boston Common garage and enjoy a walk across the park before my meal.

We went there for my birthday! We ordered the dry aged rib eye, it is VERY impressive. The creamed spinach and corn are also very tasty! the seating is great, even dessert is also way above average! I’d say it’s worth the $$$$

Mooo... Beacon Hill is a gem for steak lovers looking to celebrate a special occasion. Our anniversary dinner was elevated by not just exceptional food, but truly remarkable service. The roasted bone marrow and prime dry aged porterhouse were expertly prepared, the prime sirloin tartare was in a league of its own. I still dream about it every now and then… What set this experience apart was how the staff personalized our evening - presenting a custom menu and anniversary dessert. In a city with no shortage of steakhouses, Mooo... stands out for its combination of top-tier culinary skills and attentive, memorable service. Definitely a must-visit for anyone looking to celebrate something special or simply indulge in extraordinary beef.

Amazing food and atmosphere. I had the best lamb chops ever, like ever. The dry aged steak was good as well. The mushroom side is amazing. Parking is $20 on Sat/Sun. Need to get a reservation in advance especially on weekends

We tried the “Cat on the Blue Tin roof” and it was a showstopper of a cocktail! Absolutely delicious and the blue curaçao just made it pop! As amazing as the drink looks, it somehow tastes even better. The bar at the Mooo in Beacon Hill is the best bar in the city (without question) and the bartenders (Paul, Brian, and Kat) make the experience that much more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a place to go for dinner, drinks, atmosphere, or all the above, look no further. Best place to go with the best people!

The Food: An established steakhouse in Boston, and for good reason. With the high price comes some high quality dining. The food was actually really good imo but it depends on what you get. I myself had the beef Wellington and it was quite good but not really for me. I had a few bites of my sister's peppercorn steak though and I had to say, it was some of the best beef my tongue has ever tasted. I'm from NYC and there's a lot of fancy and established steakhouses there but I think restaurants like Moo can give New York a run for its money. Aside from the beef, we had the creamed spinach, mashed potatoes, truffle fries, "exotic" mushrooms, lobster macaroni and the calamari, all of which we enjoyed. The bread they gave out at the beginning was tasty and the desserts like those gooey warm chocolate chip cookies were so simple but amazing. The Service: The service was really good as well as the server kept coming to our table to check up on us and was very friendly and informative. The server was some sort of younger white dude, I don't know his name but I think the management at Moo ought to give him a raise. The Parking: In typical Boston fashion, parking is gonna be a pain. They have a lot right next to Moo but I believe it's valet and the rates are crazy expensive. Something like $10 for 30 minutes and $40 maximum which to me is obscene. I parked in some One Beacon garage a block away and only paid $14ish to park there for like 3 hours. If you park your car at that garage past a certain time (maybe 7pm), the rate is significantly cheaper at only $14 for however long you stay between 7pm and 4am. Past that time, there's no valet so you park your car yourself and take your keys with you, something I greatly appreciate since I don't trust valets in my car.

We had the best night at Mooo Beacon Hill last night! Celebrating my husband’s birthday, I called ahead. Erin Flaherty was wonderful in hearing our favorite Mooo moments (dirty martinis, wagyu dumplings, tuna tartare, bananas foster w/ espresso martinis) and making it all happen like the perfect orchestra. Food was fantastic, our server (I’m so sad I’m forgetting his name) was absolutely phenomenal. Mooo has always been a special place to us and this is exactly why. Thank you Mooo Team, see you soon!!! :)

I came here in November 2024 and I STILL dream about it. The ribeye cap here is phenomenal and it is literally the best steak I’ve ever had in my life. It was cooked medium rare and it had the most perfect taste and texture ever. I’ve been looking for places that sell ribeye cap steaks in my region but they’re just too difficult to find, and even if they are available, they’re usually cooked with the most overpowering dry rub which … WHY. Is the ribeye cap steak from Mooo… worth it? YES. I would 100% take a 24 hour flight to Boston JUST TO HAVE THIS RIBEYE CAP STEAK.

Best steak I’ve ever had but it’s the most expensive steak I’ve had sooo. For the Bananas Foster I am dairy free and they gave me dairy free ice cream on the side that was amazing. And they didn’t charge me any extra for it. Service was absolutely amazing.

Hubby and I spent the night in town to celebrate his 50th birthday. We had an early dinner because we had tickets to a comedy show. Our waiters name was Jeffrey and he was fantastic. We started with a Caesar salad that had amazing croutons. Then we shared Yukon gold mashed potatoes which were next level. Ordered the American wagyu cap Snake River Farms, Idaho, which was All Natural. They made my hubby roasted potatoes which was not even on the menu since the other potato options were not gluten free. Thanks Jeffrey!!! We ended dinner with three scoops of ice cream and my husband was in heaven!!! We loved our meal here and will be back!!!

Heard very good things about this steakhouse so we wanted to give it a shot. Sat at the bar on a Friday night and had excellent service from the bartender Paul. He had great recommendations and was creative with his drinks. We started with the tuna tartare, then for our entrees we had a beef Wellington which was amazing and a perfectly cooked ny sirloin. For the sides we chose onion rings and spicy broccolini which were both fantastic. The broccolini has just the right amount of heat from the chiles and the onion rings were perfectly fried. Overall a 5 star steakhouse which I highly recommend.

Last night of our USA trip well spent in this restaurant. Staff were excellent, attentive but not intrusive giving a first class service. The food was delicious, tasty and well presented. Extensive menu and wine list. Tastefully decorated and good ambience. Perhaps a little more lighting would have been helpful for my eyesight. None the less really enjoyable experience.

We were on holiday in Boston, and were lucky enough to be staying at the hotel where Mooo.... is located. Heard good things, so managed to secure an early booking, and we were not disappointed. Been to many good steakhouses over the years, but this has to be one of the best. My filet mignon was so tender, it was like cutting into butter! All the sides and sauces were also fantastic, and the service was perfect - attentive and friendly without being overpowering. Only marked it down one star for the atmosphere as we all found it a tad dark. We were given a light for the table, but someone took it away! When food is this good, I like to be able to see it properly!!

My husband and I ate at Mooo last Thursday night. We were impressed with the attentiveness of our servers and our waiter gave good food recommendations. We split the A5 Waygu, tots, and bananas foster. This was our first time havingJapanese Waygu, and we weren’t disappointed! It was cooked perfectly medium and was incredibly tender and flavorful. The tots were crispy and the best tots we’ve had at a steakhouse. The bananas foster was fine, but I’d try something else next time. Overall, we highly enjoyed Mooo and would eat here again.

Mooo… is honestly incredible, the food was sooo delicious and our server Maritzio was amazing. Cocktails were very good, bread rolls are dreamy, Prime NY Sirloin Au Poivre was unreal, filet mignon was perfect, and the whipped Yukon gold potatoes and grilled broccolini brought everything all together into one of the best meals I’ve had in Boston!! Also, the milk and cookies were unbelievably good too!! Mooo is very expensive but it’s worth it for a special night out. Can’t wait to go back!!

This was the best place I have ever gone out to eat. My lady surprised me with this amazing birthday dinner: First impression was class and attention to detail. The aesthetics when you first walk in felt warm and quite cozy with out being overwhelming, despite the amount of people there on a Friday night. While sitting, my fiancé and I could talk to each other without shouting, yet couldn’t hear other conversations making the atmosphere feel quite pleasant. Second was the drinks. My gods the drinks. I had two cocktails each a seasonal selection, the names of each drink escape me; but they were flavorful and just strong enough. The wine was also the best I’ve ever had in a restaurant, we just had the house Chardonnay and it blew my mind. Third was the appetizers. We had the Wagyu dumplings, and the roasted bone marrow. Words cannot describe the decadence that exploded in my mouth. The Wagyu dumplings had a fantastic unique shape making them perfect for pooling the sauce on the top, each bite was literal haven. The bone marrow was served with a pan fried piece of fresh made bread. I can’t describe how good this was, just get it; you’ll thank me later. The fourth and the finale of the evening where my better half had the beef Wellington and I had the Wagyu cap with sautéd spinach and exotic mushrooms as our sides. The Wellington was straight up the most decadent thing I have ever put in my mouth; while the Wagyu simply disintegrated the moment it touched my tongue. I dare say, it took more effort to chew the spinach and mushrooms than it did to eat my steak. All and all this was the best restaurant experience we have ever had. Was it expensive? Yes. Was it worth it? Absolutely. You clearly pay for the quality in this case. There is a lot of pretentious Boston restaurants out there and this is not one of them. This place has to be the best steak house in Boston. Hands down.

My family and I had a beautiful dinner at Mooo Beacon Hill. The food was incredible—we started with the delicious, warm baked bread, then we got a Caesar salad, bone marrow and dumplings. The bone marrow was the star of the show for me—a very generous portion and so tasty!! For dinner I got the filet mignon prepared rare plus (it was cooked PERFECTLY) and had the tater tots, mashed potatoes, carrots and spinach for sides. For dessert, we had the milk + cookies (this is a MUUUST if you eat at Mooo…, do NOT sleep on these), crême brûlée, and chocolate cake. Our waiter, Nelson, was attentive and personable. He really wanted us to have a beautiful dinner, and we did. Anna, the Assistant GM, had placed young adult menus for my niece and nephew and set out the sweetest little coloring books for them!! She went above and beyond to make the evening special, and checked in to see if there was anything she could do to improve our experience in any way. Overall, I would, hands down, recommend Mooo Beacon Hill to anyone and everyone. The food, the atmosphere and the service were all 5 stars, and I will definitely be back!!

Mooo.... Beacon Hill is an outstanding steakhouse that combines modern style with classic flavor. The steaks are cooked perfectly—tender, juicy, and seasoned just right, with top-quality cuts that really stand out. The sides, like the truffle fries and creamed corn, are rich and flavorful, and the popovers are a great touch. The atmosphere feels upscale but comfortable, with warm lighting and attentive service that make the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. It’s one of those spots where every detail—from the food to the presentation—feels carefully done. A go-to for an excellent steak dinner in Boston.

Big thanks to the chef, leadership, and staff at Mooo for a fantastic dining experience! I was there on Thursday, November 13 to celebrate my birthday. Lucas (our server) was exceptional - he knew when to approach our table with service...and when to observe and allow us to dine comfortably. He was knowledgable about the menu and will seek his service next time we are there. I also appreciated the tableside visit from the GM who was kind, smart, and funny. Kudos on running the finest steakhouse in Boston!

We visited Mooo…. in Beacon Hill for a birthday lunch and overall had a good experience, especially thanks to the excellent customer service and beautiful ambiance. The staff was incredibly accommodating—our waiter went out of his way to explain which menu items contained alcohol or pork due to our group’s dietary restrictions, and that level of attentiveness made us feel really cared for. Definitely a 10/10 for service. We started with the Maine lobster mac & cheese ($39), and it was one of my personal favorites of the meal—rich, creamy, and packed with a good amount of lobster. I’d rate it 8.5/10. Alongside that, we ordered the truffled Parmesan fries ($18), which were crispy, flavorful, and totally addictive—9/10. The Yukon gold potatoes ($10–$12) were also a nice side: simple, well-cooked, and worth an 8/10. For mains, we tried the dry-aged ribeye ($95), which was halal. It was decent in portion and cooked to our liking, but slightly underwhelming in flavor for the price—I’d give it a 8/10. We also ordered the Australian lamb chops ($75), also halal, but unfortunately they were the biggest disappointment of the meal. They had an odd taste and lacked seasoning—2/10, which was unexpected from a high-end spot like this. Dessert was a strong finish. We shared the Valrhona chocolate cake ($20), which was rich and beautifully layered with chocolate ganache and crémeux, accompanied by a creamy vanilla bean ice cream that balanced the richness perfectly— 9/10. The ambiance was elegant and modern, a perfect setting for a special occasion. We also appreciated the valet service right outside ($31), and there’s an ATM conveniently located across the street for those who don’t usually carry cash. Despite a few misses food-wise—especially with the lamb—we plan on coming back to explore more of the menu. Dietary limitations meant we couldn’t try everything we wanted this time, so we’re looking forward to a second visit for a more complete experience.

Upscale, posh and really fancy place. Excellent service level, despite some trouble finding our reservation- which you really need. That was a really turndown. Really felt unwelcomed! They have bone marrow, which is rare and superb!! Steaks was really good and very well (perfectly) done as requested medium. Expensive wines, but their Malbec was excelkent. Enjoyed the meal and had a fantastic time! Forgot to take photos of dinner, but dessert was huge and nice!

My daughter & I were craving steak so I decided to try Moooo… based off of their wonderful reviews and partially just for the name of the restaurant :-) Damon took great care of us, the rolls were soft & baked to perfection, the lobster bisque had the perfect amount of sherry & our filet was cooked to perfection. The kitchen even split our steak for us. The creamed spinach was delish as were the onion rings. We ordered the chocolate chip cookies but couldn’t even eat half of one cause we were so full! The other staff members also made sure to keep our water glasses full the whole time. Lovely experience & 10/10 would recommend! Great job, Moooo…

I went here with my boyfriend for his birthday dinner and the food was good but not great (which one would hope for at this price range). However, the service we had was amazing! We ordered the wagyu dumplings 7.5/10. Good but wouldn’t order again. The prime bone in aged ribeye 6/10. Carrots 8/10. Mashed patatoes 9/10. And lastly the apple tart 3/10. I was happy with the meal as the ambiance is good and the service was great. That being said, the food itself was not anything special :(.

L
Lana Dumenko

We were slightly underwhelmed by the food but the service was great. The steak we ordered came medium instead of medium rare like we ordered, and the rest of the flavors were good not great. We had higher expectations.

It is not only about food - a Terribly over priced wine list 😭😭😭 I was ready to pay for food, atmosphere, etc., definitely was not expecting the wine list to start from 75 dollars for bottle, for an acceptable wine a price above 100 dollars. Finally, took a cocktail for 22 dollars - was not ready to pay for glass of wine 20+ dollars. The portions of food are big, the food is of a good quality but it is not enough - drinks are part of the deal, especially when it is only a matter of storing and not their cooking quality. For me, it is not a place I will return to

Mooo Beacon Hill delivers the visual and procedural cues of a luxury steakhouse, but the experience rarely rises above expectation—and at this price point, expectation is the floor. The menu is built around classic steakhouse fundamentals, and when execution is clean, the food satisfies in a predictable way. Steaks are properly cooked, sides are familiar, and plating is polished. The issue is distinction. Flavors are safe, seasoning is conservative, and dishes arrive without a sense of personality or progression. Nothing is poorly done; little feels memorable. Service is formal and well-trained, but often reads rehearsed rather than intuitive. Interactions can feel transactional, with pacing driven more by protocol than table awareness. The mechanics are there, yet the warmth and anticipation that separate good service from great service are inconsistent. The room is elegant and undeniably attractive, fitting neatly into its Beacon Hill surroundings. However, the atmosphere leans stiff, prioritizing presentation over comfort. It feels designed for occasion dining, but rarely creates an actual sense of occasion. Verdict: Mooo Beacon Hill is a competent, high-end steakhouse that delivers what it promises—but little more. In a category crowded with strong competition, adequacy isn’t enough to justify aspiration-level pricing. Three stars for execution, not impact.

Overall, a pleasant experience, but I won't come back for the steak! We booked a table at 9pm, but we had to wait because it wasn't ready and we ended up eating at 9:25pm. I understand that this can happen, but in a restaurant with high price range I would expect to receive a complimentary drink while waiting. The bone marrow was extremely tasty and the presentation was well done. The steak tartare was good; however, the seasoning was too heavy and covered the taste of the meat. We ordered the porterhouse, which was a decent size and cooked to rare. The meat was cooked as we requested—still a bit bloody and very tender. However, the steak was served on a cold porcelain plate and got cold within a few minutes. The center of the meat was cold from the beginning, which was a shame because even if the cooking style is rare, the meat should never be served cold. To maintain the meat's warmth while guests eat it, it should be served on a hot/warm stone or at least on a wooden board. This should be obvious for any steakhouse, especially for a fancy one.
