Riviù Branzi Reviews
The restaurant's exterior paves the way for the beauty of the interior. Outside, a large area with tables and a large fire pit, and inside, a typical mountain restaurant entirely made of wood with long, continuous benches running the entire length. We stopped for lunch and were very pleased with the food. The dishes were excellent and carefully presented. The platters featured delicious cured meats and cheeses. The dessert was also excellent, as was the staff: friendly and efficient. We will definitely be back.
Amid the green mountains of the Brembana Valley, the village of Branzi holds a small gem of hospitality: the Al Riviu Inn. A peaceful retreat with fresh mountain air, it invites you to slow down and enjoy a truly relaxing weekend. The experience was pleasant in every detail: the immaculately clean and well-maintained rooms offer comfort and simplicity, perfectly in keeping with the spirit of the place. The service is impeccable, always attentive but never intrusive, with a smiling staff that makes you feel immediately at home. The cuisine celebrates the authentic flavors of the valley: generous dishes, local ingredients, and the authenticity that only mountain inns can offer. A recommended destination for those seeking tranquility, good food, and a sincere welcome among the Bergamo peaks. Ideal for a relaxing weekend.
A true gem in the Brembana Valley! Locanda Riviú perfectly combines tradition and hospitality. The setting is warm and inviting, with an atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at home. The staff is extremely friendly and always available. The cuisine is truly excellent: typical Bergamo dishes prepared with quality ingredients, generous portions, and impeccable presentation. From local cheeses to pasta dishes and desserts, everything was a pleasant discovery. The wine selection is also excellent. An ideal place for both a romantic dinner and a family lunch. Highly recommended for those who want to discover the authentic flavors of the area in a welcoming and charming setting.
One of my favorite places, friendly and professional staff, the gem is the restaurant, truly amazing cuisine, excellent traditional dishes, perfect quality/price ratio.
Quiet place with its own private parking. The owner is very kind and friendly. We had a truly delicious lunch. All the dishes were excellent: the house appetizer, lasagna and risotto for the first course, and the sliced beef steak for the second course, which melted in your mouth. Highly recommended.
Perfect restaurant: we ate delicious food and the service was impeccable. It was truly a wonderful evening and a wonderful experience.
For a few years now, this has been the best place to eat in the upper Brembana Valley, in my opinion. Super welcoming atmosphere, traditional cuisine with an interesting twist, beautiful location, lovely management, and absolutely fair prices. I've only tried the restaurant, not the rooms.
Very well done. Pizze and all other dishes I've tried are top-notch. Service is excellent, and the place is beautiful and clean. I really love driving up to this hidden gem. Highly recommended!!

We stayed at I Riviu' for the night to go hiking in the mountains, stunning location, the best staff and we ate both nights in the restaurant, which served up exceptional food. If you want to do som…
I’ve been here so many times. I have tried almost every dish of the menu, and I’ve never been disappointed at all. Cured meat is something special. Best pizzoccheri and casoncelli ever tried. Qua…
Very nice place. Top pizza, in my opinion the best in the valley. Excellent food, although portions aren't generous. Prices aren't particularly cheap, but they're in line with the quality.
We went to I Riviù restaurant for dinner, a typical mountain setting with lots of wood, very charming! The food was really good, we ate very well. The portions were generous, and the ingredients were top-quality. The service was good, with only one person taking orders; we waited almost half an hour for him to take our order: room for improvement! The bill was excellent: 1 appetizer, 2 first courses, 2 desserts, water, and a glass of wine for €65. Compliments to the chefs!
We spent a weekend at this new property nestled in the mountains. We received a warm welcome, probably from the owner, who showed us to our room: new, spacious, and with a splendid view of the mountains. The room smelled of wood, which made our stay even more pleasant. We chose to dine at their restaurant, a welcoming and well-maintained location. The food was truly excellent and well-prepared. However, the portions were a bit smaller than expected, especially considering the medium-high prices. For example, the venison stew with taragna polenta had a generous portion of polenta, but the meat was limited to a few small pieces. The same goes for the gnocchi: delicious and creamy, but limited. The price of coffee (€1.60) also seemed a bit excessive. Unfortunately, the dinner service was slow and disorganized, and the staff seemed to struggle to handle customer requests. We really enjoyed the breakfast: not very varied, but good quality. Overall, the establishment was appreciated for its atmosphere and friendly staff, but perhaps next time we would try other restaurants in the area.
Lovely new spot in the valley, able to offer a culinary alternative to the tourists and to the local customers. The layout is pretty warm and cozy, and by the time will assume a special soul. The menu is pretty ambitious and mixes very high quality “slow food” ingredients. Both the restaurant and the pizzeria offers are very interesting and worth the price, by the way very reasonable. Recommended!
This is my fourth time dining here, and, sadly, it's also my last. We've had service issues three times. You can't wait an hour and a half for the first pizza (a baby pizza for a three-year-old who's obviously gotten restless) out of five pizzas, only to have them arrive with a 10-minute difference between them. When we reported the issue to the waitress, we were offered a bitter apology, which, ironically, they forgot to bring. I would have expected a discount on the total price, given that the dinner was forgettable. It's a shame, because both the pizzas and the other dishes at the restaurant are good quality.
