I recently visited Alice's Kitchen and was so happy to see they’re now under new management—and open from breakfast all the way through dinner! The food tastes absolutely delicious. Everything we ordered was flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. You can really tell there’s attention to quality in every dish. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Service was attentive without being overbearing. The vibe reminds me of the cozy cafes in Hong Kong—casual, lively, and comforting. It’s the kind of place you can stop by for a quick breakfast, meet friends for lunch, or relax over dinner. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!

I really like this place. The food is decent with very reasonable pricing (refillable milk tea..? What..?) I had the Lava French Toast, meets my expectations and the sweetness level is just about right. Service is super friendly and atmosphere is chill. Might come back again ;)

Love! Grew up eating chachantaang food and was craving it on our trip in LA. This place didn't disappoint! Super authentic! Reasonable pricing. Don't be fooled by the low-key outdoor aesthetics. The inside is nicely decorated, clean, and spacious seating.

Craving for Hong Kong style comfort food, there seemed to be handful of options available in the eastern part of LA. Alice Kitchen 'magically popped on my IG feed' and there we were. Highly recommended to join the waitlist online to avoid long wait. Providing plenty of both indoor and outdoor seats, the venue gave that old school Hong Kong cafe/resto vibes. We started with the small rice paper rolls cooked in the house peanut sauce. I've been craving for this comforting appetizer and it's so nice finally having it, just wishing it came with meat or Chinese doughnut sticks instead of the rice paper alone. Their HK Style Pineapple Bun should never be skipped. The crunchy sweet layer on top perfectly blended with the soft fluffy bun and savory stuffing. They had multiple options and we opted for pork chop, which was delightfully tender and well complemented by the tasty sauce and sunny side up. We closed our meals with the Ovaltine French Toast to end it sweet and it's slapping! The taste was literally as amusing as the lava explosion, and I was so hyped finding Ovaltine!

I have been lived in Shenzhen for my first 18 years, this restaurant remembered me many memories of Hongkong Cafe style “ 茶餐廳 , very authentic. Recommend!

This is the most authentic Hong Kong causal dining (Cha Chang Teng) restaurant in the area. (I grew up in HK). Food is delicious and generous with portion size. Service is simple and quick. This is my third visit in the last two trips since I don’t live in the area. The rice congee with pork and century egg is proper, as well as the rice rolls with crunchy dough stick inside! Soft outside and crunchy inside. The pineapple bun with butter (I had it to go) is so good! They also will refill your milk tea or lemon tea which makes it such a good deal. Highly recommended.

Authentic Hong Kong style restaurant with great menu. The food are all delicious and authentic. Service is excellent and the atmosphere is true to HK style. We tried various noodles, fried rice and drinks, all amazing.

A work peer let me know that if I like Chinese breakfast I must try Alice's kitchen and I am furious I was not told about this spot before! Their extra large pineapple bread sandwiches are 🔥. Cannot explain it any better. Great porridge and different types of noodle soups! 🍜 Fantastic Hong Kong style breakfast!

This is the HK diner of my dreams. I went originally for the pineapple bun pork chop sandwich and ovaltine french toast, but the food was so delicious, I ended up going back two more times in the same weekend. The ovaltine french toast has a warm center that flows out when you cut into it and was amazing to have fresh! The pineapple bun sandwich was a bit messy but we really enjoyed the mixture of sweet and savory. The second time we went, we got classics like the baked pork chop rice with tomato sauce and some fun stuff like stir fried rice rolls. The baked rice was definitely the highlight for our group! It was salty, cheese, tangy, and very satisfying. The food selection and quality was more than I expected from this restaurant and I was impressed. One of the best parts is that they offer 2 free refills on all their drinks!! The parking lot is pretty small but there is tons of street parking in the area. This is probably my newest favorite spot! Will definitely be back to try more of their menu items.

A delightful experience awaits! The restaurant's whimsical condensed milk decorations added a playful touch to the atmosphere. Indulging in their authentic Hong Kong style cuisine was a treat for the taste buds. The milk tea stood out with its exceptional flavor, and the cherry on top was the free refill! Impeccable service, genuine flavors, and a charming ambiance make Alice Kitchen deserving of a well-earned 5-star rating. Highly recommended!

Delicious and authentic hong Kong style cafe! With a huge menu and great flavors. We had the pineapple bun with bbq pork, chow fun, curry fish balls, and steamed flour rolls. Go during tea time (3pm-5pm) for a free refill on Hong Kong tea. I'll definitely be coming back to try more items 😀

I visited Alice's Kitchen last week and while the food was above average. However, my overall experience was not entirely satisfying. Clay pot rice is good, Spinach Soup beyond our expectation! However, Beef Chow Ho Fun kind of disappointed us. If I were to return, I would be sure to try different menu items and give it another chance."

Yum. Sooo yum! They put butter on all the bread so I took it off to avoid a heart attack and an unnecessary spike in my cholesterol (there is already sugar or syrup for the bread so it’s not needed). My friend took me here to try legit Hong Kong breakfast. It did not disappoint! My favorite was the pineapple bun. It was perfectly crispy and tasty and I love it plain (no custard inside)!! My second favorite was the thick french toast with peanut butter inside (and syrup on the side). Mmm a combination I would have never thought of but it was so tasty!! I also like how they combine coffee and milk tea! But the egg they brought out was very unappetizing and not how I like eggs cooked. Service is stinky in the sense where my friend raised her hand and it still took awhile for someone to come by. But! The waiter spoke canto and English so I could easily talk to him. Sitting outside was nice….until flies started landing on my food -___- but it depends if you are willing to wait for inside seating. I was not and I suffered for it. Oh and parking is pretty awful. The lot is super small. I ended up parking in the neighborhood area and walked a block but I guess it was good since I ate so much! Overall, it was really delicious and I can’t wait to bring people here to have a great experience like I did! Thanks to my friend ;0)

Our top HK cafe style restaurant. Our friends drive 4 hours+ to come here. Every single dish we ordered was incredible yet reasonably priced. Aside from their famous pineapple buns, highly recommend the egg yolk shrimp. The pea shoots were some of the best I've ever had. We will be paying a visit every time we're in MP!

I've had this place mentally bookmarked for a long time but usually missed the window of opportunity to go. I was determined to finally make it, even after what looked like a long wait on Sunday after 1 pm. Make sure to scan the QR code at the front entrance to get yourself on the wait list (no need to flag down any employees and no need to stand around to wait). The wait list is pretty cool in that it automatically updates your place in line and how long you've been waiting as well as how many parties (and their size!) are in front of you and how long they've been waiting. Their inside dining area is a bit small and they've expanded dining capacity with two outdoor seating areas, so there's a high chance you'll end up dining outside. I do prefer indoor as the outside dining table didn't look too stable, but I appreciate that the outdoor space allows them to serve customers faster. We tried quite a bit and loved it all! We had the HK style pineapple bun with butter ($4.25), pan fried fish filet sandwich ($8.50), fried chicken wings and squid in spicy salt ($11.99), Ovaltine French toast ($6.95), black pepper beef fried noodles ($12.95), iced milk tea ($1.95), and iced lemon tea ($1.95). Would order again! We parked on the residential streets and didn't have too much trouble finding a spot. Allowed us to walk off the food coma. Check the street signs to make sure you're not parked during a street cleaning day or some other restrictions.

We went for the lunch on Sat. We only waited for 15 min. We ordered chicken hot soup, extra vegetable, and cold combinations. The food is fresh and not salty. Will go back again 👍

Hong Kong style casual dining that’s familiar to those who have had it! Walked in at 9pm and was seated immediately. They were fine serving us knowing they close at 10pm because they are quick in cranking everything out. We ordered a variety of dishes such as baked rice and noodle soup and everything arrived quick and as expected. We did enjoy their chicken wings with spicy salt as well as their Bolo Bao with Butter. Yum! Oh and of course unlimited refills of iced lemon tea is like icing on the cake. The restaurant can get very noisy and hot depending on where you sit and who you sit next to so don’t expect quaint low key conversations to be heard. We were seated next to a table of 6 very loud people and had to yell at each other to hear over them. Although 10pm was coming quickly they weren’t rude in gently getting us to completion. After we were aware of the time, we finished and packed up the remaining food in to go boxes. They casually gave us to go cups for the rest of our teas so that was out cue to leave! 🤣😂😅

Hands down the one of the most authentic Hong Kong style cafe in LA: great cafe food, great pricing, and mediocre service. Their chicken steak baked spaghetti, pork chop pineapple bun sandwiches and red bean iced milk drink is my go-to favorite.

Pretty solid guangdong street food place. Very unique pineapple bun pork chop sandwich; it’s really heavy and greasy but very yummy. The eggplant in fish sauce 鱼香茄子 is very very good as well. Milk tea is cheap but pretty mediocre, would not order again. The vibe is generally very good here, always bustling and family friendly. There is quite a long wait (23 people ahead of us when we arrived) but it goes by really fast and we were seated in 25 minutes.

Recommended by a couple of Cantonese friends, Alice’s kitchen is known for its authentic street food that remind people of taste of food stalls back home. Many unique dishes are new and are a fun experience to us: minced pork egg rice bowl, pork steak pineapple bun sandwich, rich and leaky milk cake. The only problem is the food is very rich and heavy.

A great alternative if you miss Hong Kong style fast food restaurant. Went for a late Saturday brunch and managed to get a parking spot right next to the restaurant. Most staff can speak Cantonese and are friendly. The curry fish ball was not as half good as authentic Hong Kong street food:( but the ovaltine French toast(漏奶华is good and not so sweet. Grilled chicken pineapple bun was also good. The iced lemon tea was supposed to be the signature item for Hong Kong style fast food, but the tea was not good and it tasted flavourless. I will probably visit again but really hope some items could be improved.

Nice, authentic Hong Kong style cafe. The menu had a good selection of a la carte items (noodles, congee, sandwiches) and dishes served with rice. We got the salt and pepper pork chops, walnut shrimp and basil clams. Standard portion sizes for lunch. Walnut shrimp was particularly tasty. The shrimp was nice and crispy, with just the right amount of mayo. Minced pork over rice was also tasty ( watch out for the chili peppers). Also, the selection of drinks was good. And the staff did an excellent job of keeping them topping them off.
