Jack Doyle's Broadway Reviews
Lovely Irish bar, nice atmosphere and good drinks range. Food portions are well sized so dont order too much 😆
Pretty good pub. Near Time Square. Chicken parm sandwich was decent. Good prices. Max enjoyed his lettuce!
Came in for some drinks and lunch on Thursday. Been there a few times and the food has always been good, the Guinness fresh, and the service on point. One of my go-to spots when I’m nearby.
I ran the NYC Marathon this past Sunday and hosted an after party at Jack Doyle’s. Leading up to it, Brendan was extremely helpful and communicative. The entire staff was kind and attentive to my party despite it being busy through the entire bar and restaurant. Everything was great and we had an awesome time. Thank you Brendan and team for making an already special day even more fun afterwards.
We had a large party event upstairs at Jack Doyle's. Food was great and we had a knowledgeable bartender. Even with us being upstairs,, there was always a rep on the floor checking food, cleaning up, etc. They had a really nice sports type bar downstairs also.
Stopped in here for dinner and a beer. Was seated immediately at around 530pm on a Wednesday. The place was busy but not overly packed. Loud, but expectedly so. I got a John Doyle’s burger that was deceptively small, almost slider sized, but it was packed with two thick patties perfectly cooked to medium as requested. A Shepard Pie was also had that was very good, but I’m not necessarily a shepherd’s pie aficionado. I got a John Doyle’s Lager and it was ice cold and delicious. I would 100% return for that burger and beer!
Great atmosphere in a prime location near Madison Square Garden and Penn Station. The food was good, great beer and drink selection, and prices were decent too. Our service was amazing. We had 3 different people helping us and didn't wait for anything. Seems to be a very strong team and they all helped each other.
At Jack Doyle's, my husband and I have forged a wonderful relationship with this bar, particularly during Arsenal games. We thoroughly enjoy their wings, Magners cider, and engaging conversations with fellow fans at the bar. The staff has always been extremely friendly and accommodating when it comes to reserving tables for upcoming games. If you find yourself in New York City and happen to be an Arsenal fan, definitely swing by and check out this bar
We visited here on the last evening of our New York 2023 trip between 2nd to 9th July. Typical, last night and we found the perfect bar for our taste. Very neat and tidy, a good choice of beers, food and last but by no means least attentive and very nice staff. Well done Diarmuid. Having experienced a very disappointing visit to another bar earlier in the day. It was very reassuring to find our next bar to be much more friendlier. Thanks. Oh yes would recommend the sweet potato fries and onion rings.
This was a reasonably priced restaurant. The beat is very upbeat. The beer was very cold. The French Onion Soup was excellent, as were the chicken tenders. We would definitely return. ________________ 🌏Weight Loss Motivation. 🔥New Weight Loss Discovery Burns Belly Fat Like Crazy Instagram👉 @slims_pro
5/11/24 first time here, the sign board out front said "Ranger Game - SOUND ON" so I knew it was going to be the perfect spot for dinner and a show ;) I had a burger with mushrooms and fries. All good- and a beer. Friendly service and like other reviews - no rushing to get out. This place has a comfortable and chill vibe.
The food was excellent. We shared the pan seared shrimp dumplings appetizer special and they were great. I had the shepherd's pie, the beef was seasoned to perfection and it had the right amount of vegetables. My wife had the fish and chips and the fish was fresh and fried perfectly. The service on the other hand was lacking. I ordered a soup which never came (they did take it off the bill), and our waiter casually walked around without being attentive to the tables. Never checked on our drinks, didn't pay attention to see me try to get his attention twice, then I had to go to the bartender to get a second drink.
The kitchen made the correct food yet when we went to pay the receipt showed some items at a considerably higher price. As a waitress myself whatever is on the receipt is what the kitchen cooks. Based on the other reviews and since we got the right food I think the waitress changed our tab to make more money. If we hadn’t have checked the receipt our $16 sandwich would have been $27?!
Wonderful atmosphere. Slow service to take drink or food order. Ordered Mahi mahi special meal. Mahi was overcooked, very dry. The salad under it included avocado, which was brown and mushrooms with greens. Not appetizing or tasty. Explained to server who asked twice if I would like a to go box. I declined. There was no reduction in our bill. We won’t go again.
Be aware!!!! We came in on Sunday after the NYC marathon for dinner with our friend that ran. She lives in Boston. They sat us right away which was very nice since the place was crowded, we ordered food and drinks, the service was good food was good. We pay for dinner and noticed that the 20% gratuity was already included in the bill. It was 5 of us not 6 and we sat at the bar area not the dining room. We accidentally left the Amex card we paid with. Since I work a couple of blocks away and have been there before I stopped by to collect the card the following day and the bartender/server on duty gave it to me. The issue was that someone that works there went make-up shopping online using the card while it was there. We had to cancel the card and now we have to wait for the dispute with Amex. When I tried to confront the bartender about the online charges she blew me off and kept on walking. Not sure I’ll be back. I work 2 blocks away and we have been there prior numerous times with co workers for lunch and this left a really bad taste in my mouth.
I stopped by on a Saturday night at 8:30 to grab a bite and a pint on the way home. It was fairly empty, only a few people here and there. I ordered the 'Sandwich special' which was a meatball sub. It took approximately 30 minutes for the meal to arrive despite it being a seemingly slow evening. While the sandwich was by no means terrible, it had obvious room for improvement. The bartender was polite but seemed to be the only server for the entire first floor. Overall not a poor experience just disappointing given the reputation Jack Doyle has.
I ordered one bottle of beer and one soda and paid $17. Both the beer and the soda were flat and tasted watered down. Two days later, an additional tip that I never authorized was charged to my card.
Charged us $45 for drinks that costed $27. When we politely asked for clarification, the bartender took the receipt and said they had a special menu today. We ordered two beers and a canned seltzer….the check was taken before we could sign, so we did not authorize the fraudulent charge
