Great neighborhood spot, very family friendly and fun for adults as well. Really wonderful service, this is our regular spot and I love supporting local businesses that care about their customers. Can’t recommend highly enough!

While visiting NYC from Texas, my husband and I came across this Tyron Public House (Bar and Restaurant). We entered and the decore and atmosphere were warm and welcoming while having edgy music playing. We were immediately welcomed by a polite young man who let us choose our seat. We tried two holiday drinks, the peartini and the Slice of apple pie. The Pear drink was OUTSTANDING! It's light and packs a punch with GREAT flavor. My Hubby had the Apple pie drink. if you are a Rye drinker you are gonna love this! It's a little bit of a strong alcohol flavor for me but My hubby loved it. Then we split the fish and chips and a The smokey burger (Gouda cheese). The Fish and chips and are some of the best I've ever had and I eat a lot of Fish and Chips. The batter on the fish or crisp and has great taste. The fish (cod) was flakey and light flavor tasting. The chips were stacked on the plate and were crispy to perfection. This came with lemon wedges and a good tartar sauce. The burgers beef was cook almost to perfection , juicy and tasted like fresh ground beef, not a frozen patty. The hubby devoured this. I needed a little bit more of a fresh/tart/tangy flavor added (sharp cheddar or pickles that packed a punch). But over all it was Very Tastey. Both portions were HUGE and worth the price. The entire visit was exceptional and since we come to NYC every year during this time we WILL BE BACK and bring friends.
Great pub with plenty of seating. Tried this pub after visiting the Met Cloisters. The pub has a fun atmosphere with TONS of TVs for sports. Theres plenty of dining, high top, and bar seats. The menu has a great variety of food that can satisfy all types of people. They have fun baseball menu food and others specials too. The portion sizes are generous and well put together.
Smoky burger was delicious and thick. Tryon fries were also great (note: they're pretty heavy, basically a meal in themselves). Normal fries were reported to have excellent texture: crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Sweet potato burger was reported to taste excellent but the patty kind of fell apart.
So laid back and chill. As an out of town-er, this is one of the only places I’ve visited where the bartender had time to talk to us. She even had recommendations of a local park to visit that was blooming out. Two hot dogs with chips and 2 beers was only 39$!!! Absolutely cheap compared to many other places in the city. Went early afternoon and it was nice and quiet, people reading books at the bar and working on their laptop throughout the pub. Excellent vibes, great glizzies
This restaurant is just a short walk down the hill from the Met Cloisters, and has a great selection of food and drinks. The steak sandwich was absolutely delicious, and the fries were crispy and well seasoned. The servers were attentive and food was prepared quickly. The atmosphere was great and there were many TVs with a selection of channels on. I really enjoyed my experience at this great restaurant.
Excellent service and massive burgers. Good selection of beers. We especially enjoy their generous happy hour: M-F 3pm - 7pm, and doesn't have to be at the bar area. Cocktail selection could be larger and more varied. Great sports bar/dive bar vibes here though! Tryon Public is definitely our favorite place to go for a drink after work in the neighborhood.

Amazing food and service! I got the Sambal BBQ Steak Bowl and it was delicious! The mild wings and French fries were amazing as well! Highly recommend this place to others!

Went on Karaoke night. That was very enjoyable. 😊 The food was decent & so was my drink. The atmosphere was perfect. Noise level was just right. What stood out for me was the level of service provided. The young ladies were attentive, helpful & accommodating. Thank you 👏🏾👍🏾
Stopped in for a round of drinks and an appetizer. The service was very slow, especially considering there were only 2 tables occupied at the restaurant. The guacamole was very good. The bloody mary was decent. The waitress was nice and brought us a sample of the bloody mix to test the spice level. Clean and nice atmosphere.
Came here after visiting The Cloisters Museum nearby. Very friendly service! I had the Truffle Burger and the highlight for me were actually the fries: perfectly crunchy on the outside, soft inside, and seasoned just right. The burger itself was ok but it didn't taste well balanced. Even though the patty was enormous and really dense, all I could taste was the very thick layer of cheese on top! I've seen pics of this burger from other people and it looked different, so perhaps it was whoever made my burger that day that didn't get it quite right.
We love oscar, he's so accommodating. However, the music is too loud most of the time and it really disappoints me because it's become more frequent than it was in the past.
The Nojito was good and I only got French fries, they could have been saltier and crispier. It's a large space plenty of seating and the temperature is just right.
Cool old pub vibe, slow service to start, but the staff came around quickly and checked in often. The kitchen messed up 2 of our 3 burgers, but we were in a hurry so didn't have them remake it. Fri…
Awesome place to have drinks and food.\nReasonably priced, and drinks are affordable as well.\nI highly recommend it.
Good food, ice cold beer on tap, a lot of TV's to watch any game or fight. Nice chill spot
Good food, friendly, nice atmosphere, a bit pricey for what it is--when I stick with the burgers I'm always happy
TL;DR miss on entree flavor, sides decent. We ordered two burgers, the red-eye and the truffle. They came with fries and onion rings. If the burger patties are handformed, there needs to be some degree of seasoning worked into this recipe, as the patty was consistently bland. If they are not, the price tag is not fitting. The onion rings were tasty, and the garlic parm fries were almost perfect, with these also being light on savory flavor despite the garlic & parmesan. Servers were friendly and atmosphere seems fitting for afterhours.
After work decided to go there for a few drinks with Co-workers. We sat outside as were talking the sitting part of the bench falls down my ankle got caught under it. The waitress comes to check what’s going on. Doesn’t offer help or checks to see if any one of us is hurt. The food we order the steak sliders the meat was super chewy did not like them and the drinks were water down. Not sure what was wrong with them on Friday but I’ve been here before the service and food were great at other times. Hopefully next time I come it would be a better experience.
I love eating at this place but when it comes to ordering for deli, bits a whole different scenario. I ordered chicken wings and Trying fries. The fries were great. The chicken wings looked like d…
Great location. Restaurant has AC inside. There is outside seating in the front of the restaurant. Ordered a house sangria - looked like grape juice, tasted like peach schnapps. We ordered the guacamole as we waited for our friend. The guacamole is not made fresh - it’s scooped out of a container & put into a mortar to give this generic guacamole an authentic look. We ordered the og burger, the chicken sandwich & onion rings. The burger was ok - nothing too fantastic. The chicken sandwich was more of a bacon sandwich. Overall I’d save my money and eat elsewhere.

On a slow snowy night you would think the service would be better. Had a waitress Meg who couldn't be any more inattentive. She took our drink orders & disappeared for almost 15 minutes. Smoking a cigarette outside of course. Was there for 25 minutes before my order was taken & to make matters worse the food was awful. Fries came out completely burned & the cheeseburger came out without cheese. Sent the order back just to wait an additional 15 minutes for subpar food. The waitress Meg had a terrible attitude. The place was loud & dirty. Will not be back.
