Re HWR

It's not a fancy place. Definitely could use updating. But for a basic neighborhood diner, I think they've stayed pretty consistent. I stick with their breakfast menu which is pretty good & moderately priced. Pretty decent lunch menu.

We went for brunch, and the servicer was the cashier and the person who answered the phone. Service was a little slow, but overall, it was not bad. Very friendly waiter but a bit overwhelmed.

The service is fast, but the food could use a little more flavor (at least the breakfast). The iced coffee is... iced coffee...lol

literally pains me to give 3 stars! Long story short I had ordered from here on grub hub. The food came so hot, delicious, and CLEAN that I had to see and eat in this place in person. Even took my wife and youngest daughter. People were amazing and the food? omfg..SO GOOD! So why the 3 stars overall and 1 star atmosphere? The building needs a serious upgrade!!! It was so that I found myself wishing I were rich just to buy the building and renovate it for them. Seems like they had, or even possibly still have, a leak of which you can see the choppy attempt to paint over the damages, and worse still, SMELL THE MOLD. Also, their furniture could do with a burning and replacing. Totally took away from the delicious steak, eggs, and welches grape (actually beer) that I ordered. Such a shame.

It was okay for the most part. My daughter liked the hash brown and oreo pancakes. My steak and eggs omelet need more eggs and a little less steak. The steak is way too chunky. The homemade lemonade is pretty good. I would go back, just won't have steak and eggs omelet.

I ordered take out and spent $76.00 for 3 small breakfast meals plus beverages they forgot the orange juice .. the delivery man didn't know how to work the code for the door. So he said.. I called. And they offered to send it back which they did but I would have liked to drink my orange juice with my meal. . I'm not cheap at all but $76.00 I thought the delivery service would've been better and for the tip I gave him he could've walked up a couple of stairs. Unhappy but Noone was rude. I'll cook my pancakes and French toast at home from now on though! Ld from the Bronx Happy holidays to all!

Order home fries to go. Got them quick. But the potatoes were mushy and brown. Called to let them know. Cashier verified that they were cooked with onions and peppers and told me that she refunded my $$ & hung up quick. The worse place to go to. Not friendly nor helpful! I’m 8 months pregnant and went there to get something to eat. Now I’m stuck looking for something else

The over charged me for a sandwich and gave me old bread with one egg not cooked all the way. The cook is unsanitary and the guy at the register will over charge you. Don't go there.

Ordered from here through Uber eats. They included a post it note saying “ Customer did not request condiment or utensil.” They don’t give the option for you to request that, however I did request coleslaw and a pickle and I only got the coleslaw, no pickle. What’s the use of requesting or not requesting things if the restaurant doesn’t care about providing that, besides condiments and utensil come pretty standard when ordering food. I ordered a sandwich, I can’t imagine ordering something that requires utensils and not getting any. Food was mid as well. Never ordering from here again. Beware before ordering

Today I went to get chicken tenders and fries. The food is good but they have decided to give me a used BQQ sauce and to top it off it smelled like it was expired too. I call them to tell them but no one could understand me and the guy was stuttering the whole time. Never going to order from them again.
