Little to no MSG, tastes homemade. 10/10 recommend and WILL BE BACK! Only complaint is it’s a little pricey… also for dinner it is recommended to book a reservation a couple days in advance.

Morning brunch, grabbed some dim sum with brother. Food was good, waitress stroll around with dim sum and ask if you would like any, very kind and nice service

Went to get dimsum at this restaurant and it went pretty well. The food was good and even though most of the stuff was gone from the cart. They made it fresh when they asked for the amount that my table wanted.

An absolute jewel in the neighborhood for foodies who dig Dim Sum (small plates). A hot spot on 65th street to sip tea, connect with others and enjoy tasty treats. You can pick your dues from one of the steam carts, order dishes from the kitchen or walk to a bar to pick up a plate. A grand banquet that could fit up to hundreds, it is usually packed on late morning and early afternoon. Friends and families gather and the open hall could be quite noisy when filled. I have been coming for years and it has yet to disappoint. A great place for my kids to discover the beauty and history of chinese cuisine.

I've dined here multiple times with family and friends for dim sum and lunch. It's a popular place. The food is good as well. I like that they have a variety of dishes for people with diet restrictions. I don't eat pork, beef or lamb and was still able to enjoy my meal. I ate shumai with shrimp, eggplant stuffed with shrimp, and noodles. My favorite desserts were the sesame ball with sweetened black sesame paste inside and egg tarts.

Haven’t been here in over a year because of COViD closures. Just as good as before COVID closure. Same staff. Great service. Great food!

The staff was great. It was very busy and crowded the wait for a table was 5 mins which was great. The food was decent. Like any other dim sum place. I would come here again.

Came here for a family dinner and had a decent experience. We called days ahead to reserve one of the private rooms so it would be away from the main room abd good thing we did since there was also a wedding that night. The food was pretty good, and lotion saltier than other restaurants but the flavor was there. The staff were friendly and trying their best since there was also a wedding so I understood if they forgot to get us water etc. Curious about the dimsum so I will try it next time.

For what it’s worth, the service here isn’t bad, the food is good and just as great for dim sum or any traditional dishes you can get in the area incase you don’t wanna go to park Asia or east harbor, prices are fair, get the fried flounder.

Had to get here pretty early (9:15 am) — the place filled up very quickly after lunch. We got lucky with parking, park nearby has free parking on Sundays. It’s pretty standard & good for big groups.

Vast variety of different dum sum, especially on the weekends, where they bring out the speciality items. Come early (before 10am) during the weekend to avoid the long wait from hungry vultures. The taste here is on par with your typical dim sum spots, but I did find the dishes less oily and saltier side. As with inflation, the price of dim sum has increased significantly over the years. Our party of 7 adults and 5 small children, spent $175 for around 20 plates… wild times!

Service was good. Food was very good. Nice, large restaurant. Street parking. No more rolling carts. You order and they bring it out. Prices sure have gone up! Got a take out order of general tso today, not too good.

First time coming after the name change. We came after the dim sum rush, but they still had some that were fresh. We ordered the chicken feet, meat balls, bean curd rolls and the shrimp dumplings which was the best out of all the dim sum dishes we picked up. The beef chow fun was a bit of a disaster. The noodles were all cut up and the onions that were included were burned. On top of that they charged close to eighteen where you can get that for a third less in Chinatown, NYC.

We came here because East Harbor was closed. The food quality is slightly worse at Affable, but serviceable. Selection of dim sum is not that good. Edit- Food appears to have much improved since I went last time. Selection is still poor, not too many steamed buns but price is reasonable. Came back in late March 2021 and they're open for dinner! If you come early there isn't that many people (5pm).

The food here is delicious. We came here for Mother’s day and we were not disappointed. The staff was accommodating with our large party sitting at one table. They were friendly and served the food to each of our plates super quickly. The combination food came out at a decent pace (not too fast and not too slow). We came back for Thanksgiving eve dinner. We ordered the combination meal and were not given a roast pig because we did not order it early enough, even though it was a decent amount of time.

Typical dim sum fare with a couple of “hot” (straight from the kitchen) dishes. Came here around 2pm on Saturday with a large group, there was a wait of 15mins for the table. We received a lot of attention from staff because it was slowing down slight and my table was full of non-Chinese. My table stuck out for the wait staff which isn’t a bad thing to an extent. Our table some how received 6 teapots for a table of 12. The steam walnut bun was surprisingly pleasant.

Went on a Sunday morning, and the place was packed by 11:30am. They assign you a number, and you have to wait for them to call it - only thing is they will call it in Cantonese, maybe in Mandarin, and you're s.o.l. in English. About a 30 minute wait until we were seated, which is expected. The place is huge! I had specifically ordered a vegetarian dish and repeated myself to the waitress, "I can't have any meat in it, I can't eat any meat", and she parrot back to me the dish and that it won't have any meat. Well, guess what? They end up putting meat. Then, the same waitress had the gall to say that the pieces of meat I am scooping out are vegetarian. Finally, she knew that I couldn’t be lied to and said it was meat, grabbed the plate, and got the order right the second time. By then, everyone in my party had finished eating. Meh.

Better Cantonese cooking elsewhere. They score points for creative plating and food is not bad, my low rating is due to lack of service. Regardless I had three VIPs in my party, management did bare minimum on the service and didn't even respect us even after gouging me with a $1,400+ dining bill. It was my grandmother's 94th birthday, we booked the private Karaoke room. Terrible service and the food was only so so. Affable is laughable. Skip it!!

Went for a wedding banquet. Food was generally ok, but some dishes weren't that great. Fish was fishy, the squid dish was a little sweet, the noodles were dry and the fried rice bland. However, the crispy chicken was juicy, the abalone good. Overall ok but not somewhere i'd go out of my way to eat at.

First of all, food tasted bland, some are way too oily and some just taste straight up disgusting, it’s so bad to the point where it feels like it’s raw and overly cooked at the same time. Second, the atmosphere was awful the waiter kept putting food we didn’t want on the table and we had to decline for around 2 min every time before she takes the food back into the cart it was such a disgusting behavior, and the food we ordered didn’t come until we asked about it 20 min later and they gave us two when we only asked for one and it tasted awful too. Finally, at the end they forced us to pay extra tip when we already included like $12 tip, the waiter said sorry company policy you have to pay certain amount of tip it’s not a suggestion it’s a must, actually disgusting behavior, definitely would never revisit. -sawa

The service here was absolutely horrendous, they surround you and forcefully try and sell their dim sum. Even after you repeatedly say no, they nonstop they and persuade you. Not only that, the food here was cold. The noodles are dry and flavorless. We tried ordering dim sum that was not on the cart, and they totally forgot about it, then when they came around again, they bought it out and even though we said we only wanted one plate now since we are done eating, they acted very upset that we no longer want two plates (after leaving us there and forgetting the dish until we are done). The staff was also very rude and disrespectful; NOT ONLY THAT THEY FORCEFULLY REMIND YOU TO TIP (AFTER WE ALREADY TIPPED 15% EVEN AFTER THE POOR SERVICE) VERY VERY DISAPPOINT DO NOT COME
