King's Kitchen Albee Square Reviews
My family really enjoyed eating here. We liked the congee selection a lot. We ordered one congee with pork, squid, and fish. The fish tasted delicious, and there were good portion sizes of all three meats in the congee. I ordered the congee with preserved egg and pork. I think this one could have used more preserved egg. All the egg was shredded, so it wasn’t like how I prefer, which is in big chunks. We highly recommend ordering a side of youtiao with your congee! Just a heads up that each youtiao you add already comes with two sticks. I ordered two additional youtiao, and we received four sticks in total. They are super delicious and come with all the fried oil goodness that goes perfect with congee. We also ordered a peanut and hoisin sauce rice roll, which tasted amazing, if a little on the sweeter side. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant! My family has already said we want to return to try the barbecue offerings in the future.
Trying out the delicious 3-set combo released for Chinese New Year! Very authentic Cantonese food, delicious and warm which are great add-ons to the winter breeze! Staff are friendly and welcoming!
The service and food is amazing , this new location seems to be an upgrade to the previous kings kitchens, which I already was a frequent customer to. I’m looking forward to coming here more often in the future.
My family and I stopped by for lunch Saturday afternoon. We were seated immediately, and got two rice dishes. We got the scallion chicken and the roast pork/pork belly dish. The portions are a good size and the meat was super flavorful. The restaurant was clean and bright, and the staff was very attentive. Definitely a great spot to grab some a nice lunch!
A great local Chinese spot with comforting, flavorful dishes and generous portions. The BBQ meats are especially good, and everything tastes fresh and satisfying without being overly greasy. Simple, no-frills, and reliably delicious, perfect for a casual meal or takeout! Most important super affordable.
King's Kitchen is a local favorite in Brooklyn for authentic Cantonese comfort food, particularly famous for their signature claypot rice and succulent roasted meats. The portions are consistently generous and the prices are very reasonable, making it an excellent value for a hearty, no-frills meal. While the service is fast and efficient, the dining room is often bustling, so it’s a perfect spot for a quick lunch or a satisfying takeout dinner.
The sampan congee was really good, with peanuts, fried dough sticks, and shrimp inside. The lettuce rice noodle roll with preserved egg was a nice surprise — light and refreshing, highly recommended. The three-combo rice was solid; I personally liked the roast duck and scallion-ginger chicken the most. The beef with scrambled egg clay pot rice was fine, but I enjoyed the other dishes more. They also bring a warm cup of tea when you sit down, which was a nice touch. Overall, a very comfortable meal and I’d come back.
A very perfect dining experience. The server was friendly, the food was served quickly, and the Three-Treasure Rice I ordered was very fresh. The roast duck was fragrant, and the squid was also very tender. Everything was absolutely delicious. The food is also very good value for money — you can get a filling meal for just $10.
Impeccably clean & reassuring The first thing you notice walking in is how bright and spotless everything is. Floors are so well-kept you could almost see your reflection, and tables and chairs feel clean to the touch—no greasy residue in sight. Tried their signature yuntun noodle soup—rich, clear broth, tender meat, and noodles cooked just right. The portion was generous without being overwhelming
This is our go to comfort Chinese restaurant. We come here at least once a month and it never disappoints. Definitely get the Chinese sausage bo jai fan (rice casseroles) and beef chow fun as those are our favorites here. The BBQ meats such a char sui and soy sauce chicken are also amazing.
I’m so glad that there’s a King’s Kitchen location closer to the Bay Ridge/Sunset Park border to get some great Cantonese food. The food was delicious and fresh, coming to our table with little wait. The interior was well-lit with great wait staff. I’m very surprised on the less than expected wait time for the claypot rice. I will come back here more often!
Space is not too big, so if you come in big groups, you might want to make reservations. I'd say it a comfortable sitting, very clean too. However, if you come at busy hours this place might be too noisy if you prefer quieter place. Staff is very friendly and fast responds. Braised duck leg noodle soup. Soup is rich not too salty. Duck not smelly, so easy to eat and melt in your mouth. Portion is quiet big for me, but might be suitable for man. Charsiu ala carte (pork). The meat is tasty and juicy, can still smell a little bit of tauco (fragmanted been) which is good and the taste of sweetness and a little bit salty is just mouth watering.
King’s Kitchen never disappoints! The BBQ pork over rice was perfectly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, and the veggies were fresh and well-seasoned. Everything was served hot and fast, and the portions were generous. The tea on the side was a nice touch, making the whole meal feel complete. Definitely one of the best spots for authentic Cantonese comfort food — highly recommend!
My family and i chose this place due to reviews, and im so thankful that we tried them out. We had the beef noodle soup, beef brisket over rice and beef skewers. The staff are nice and accommodating, very polite and approachable. Their serving was huge!!! And price is on point! Its so worth it!!!!! Great price and big portions! Who doesnt want that? We didnt like the beef skewers, because it was sweet, its not the flavor we prefer for the skewers. We will definitely return to this place if we are in the area. Who gets $10 for a meal in nyc now?
