Ng's Kitchen Brooklyn Reviews
A small restaurant with a big reputation—deservedly so. Their roasted items and congee are flawless, and the quality hasn’t wavered in over 10 years. From their Fei Long beginnings to now, they’ve stayed true to authentic Cantonese cooking. Try the roast combo over rice—you won’t regret it.

This Cantonese canteen in Brooklyn is a hidden gem. They serve delicious BBQ meats (roasted duck, soy sauce chicken, char siu, and crispy pork), congee, and noodles. It's a rare find in the city and a great asset to the local community. The staff is friendly and the food is top-notch. Highly recommend this place for authentic Cantonese cuisine!
I am a big fan of their congee. I think they moved over from Fei Long Food Court. The congee is usually really good and probably one of the few locations in Brooklyn where you can find traditional Cantonese style congee that is usually consume for Breakfast. They also have fried dough sticks but I think they are just okay since they normally are too greasy. The Steam Rice Rolls are also very good. The Cantonese BBQ and Hanging Stuff is just okay. I rather go to Roast 28 for their BBQ.
Food? Amazing. The best congee I have had.
Hands down best cha siu (roast pork). They were in Fei Long food court and so happy they reopened in this new location. I've been having their cha siu for years, but if you're into roast duck it's pretty good as well. Sometimes, I get their double or triple meat combination with rice. Cost a little more, but it satisfies my cravings. Price is affordable, reasonable, and they give large portions. TIP: Call ahead to place your order so you can avoid the lines and get your food when you arrive. If my tip helps you, please press the helpful button. Thanks.
A store front Cantonese restaurant. I got their congee and I liked it. They sell Char Siu, soy sauce chicken, rice dishes. Most of the time when I go to 8th avenue, I would go to buy their foods. They are nearby the N train station, it's about two minutes walk.
Authentic, consistent, and always delicious. This cozy Cantonese restaurant has been around for over a decade, and I’ve followed them since the Fei Long era. Their roast items and congee are top-notch, and the mixed roast combo rice or wonton noodles will never disappoint.
Great chopped meats, love the aunties and uncles that work there, it's authentic toisan Cantonese food. Love the place. It doesn't look great inside but the food is fire.

2023.02 very good roast pork, however, but still, not as good as when they are in their old address. the roast pork they give me is not tender enough, and is close to 2 lb. kind of too big. they also sell wonton noodle, and congee.... they have very small sit in area, self serve. don't recommend.
The place has good chinese style BBQ meats, steamed rice crepes, noodle soups and congee. Their steamed rice crepes have a great texture where its not too mushy and not too hard. Their daikon radish beef stew has a hint of spiciness and has great flavor. However, recently its been a hit or miss with their congee flavoring. One time, the minced beef congee was bland with no flavor at all and another time it was too salty.
I really liked the cha siu (roast pork) and duck. Lots of food and great price. Also tried fresh steamed "springrolls" with dried shrimp, very tasty. I'll come back.
I’ve been coming here for a couple years, and the real standout isn’t the BBQ, it’s their amazing congee. Try it with white fish and ask for extra scallions. My girlfriend & I wouldn’t even think about getting congee anywhere else in this neighborhood. As for BBQ, it’s really good with a few exceptions. The roast duck is thin mostly fat not a lot of meat, I would skip it entirely or get it from somewhere else. But the Char Siu and roasted pig are actually really good, I like to get the combo with both pork options. They are very generous with portions if it’s over rice and give lots of vegetables with your meal. I don’t think this place deserves most of their bad reviews, it’s not perfect, but the staff are friendly and the food is good and affordable. Definitely more clean and higher quality compared to other options in this neighborhood. Don’t listen to people who complain about every little thing, give this place a shot.

Not really good experience in this BBQ kitchen. 1 old man for chopping, 2 old ladies work as cashier; only 3 customers including me, but they took forever, looked like they did not know what they need to do. The old man was chopping too slow then the one of cashier lady helped but forced me to buy more even I explicitly told her how much I wanted. The rosed pork is not really tasty. Giving the 3 stars coz the rosed pork skin is still crispy.

Food is ok, the charsiu in manhanton Chinatown tastes better and cheaper. If you live in Brooklyn and don’t want to spend 1.5 hrs
Ordered a partial fatty char siu and roast pork rice combo, wonton lo mein, beef stew lo mein and some beef congee with fried dough. The char siu was so dry and not at all fatty, more like starvingly skinny and dry, the skin on the roast pork was chewy and not good at all. It was the worst I've ever had from them. The noodles and congee were impeccable. Loved everything else. I would come back for anything else other than the bbq menu from now. Maybe I'll give the bbq items one more chance in the future.
Usually the go to place for canto roast. The price is more reasonable comparing the others in the area. But recently we ordered roast pork but its undercooked. The pork meat was chewy..

The roast pig I ordered was raw and spoiled. The minced beef congee, beef was bad. When mentioned, I was ignored. The kitchen door was open and the look of the kitchen was so disgusting. Eat at your own risk.
I don’t usually leave reviews but I will this time. I would give zero stars if I could. Absolutely disgusting. Dined in and ordered chicken and rice and chicken was obviously sautéed with onions and garlic. Dined in, and guess what? The chicken and rice was COLD. Aren’t you suppose to serve fresh white rice from a thermal pot? And worse of all the rice was not white. At all. There’s a thing when the rice is the pale yesterday’s leftover rice, but it’s a whole different story if the rice has soy sauce in it but the chicken is not prepared with soy sauce. Like what are you guys doing? Serving left over rice from a previous roast duck/pork meal that didn’t get served, and serving it to a CHICKEN meal? If you do that at least don’t make it obvious and serve it to ANOTHER duck/pork meal. It was so obvious they mixed up rice from a previous meat dish, didn’t even bother heating it up, and threw in some cold chicken. Absolutely ridiculous and unsanitary. If you guys want to go here, have fun eating someone’s left overs/ unwanted food. Cold ahh food.
