Blue Agave Brooklyn Reviews
Best margaritas in Bay Ridge. Excellent staff and service. Every time I have a visitor, I take them here. And every time, my guests alao love Blue Agave. Very tempted to gate keep this gem lol but they deserve the business.
Our area needed exactly this kind of culinary contribution. The meal hit all the right notes. Most of what they serve is excellent. The workers greet regulars by name reliably. Blue Agave exceeded all my hopes for the visit.
The secret is out about this spot. Workers clearly care about customer satisfaction. This place differs notably from standard interiors. Good quality at accessible prices. This restaurant is truly exceptional.
My bartending buddy George is back now for a while. Wish I had more time to enjoy his cocktails. Best Mojito for miles and miles.
I came here for the very first time with my boyfriend & we both loved everything. I had a coconut frozen margarita & he had a strawberry frozen margarita the drinks was strong but also amazing. The food omg soo delicious we finished everything. That was served, in our dinner. Dessert was also tasty. Me & my bf both had an amazing & relaxing night at this restaurant. Thank you to Emiliano H for the good & respectful customer service, me & my bf will definitely be back again for the delicious food & drinks!!!
I picked up a La Cantina lunch bowl from Blue Agave today and it was delicious. They have many choices for protein, toppings, sauces and even a build your own bowl option. The average lunch bowl is $11. The amount of food for the price was great and I was full and satisfied for hours. Definitely stop by if you’re looking for a quick and flavorful lunch.
Pictured is a chicken quesadilla, bistec(steak, can't remember the rest of the name), chicken fajita w/fixings. The drink is a watermelon margarita. All great food & always friendly staff, in the patio area with nice ambiance.👍 The mashed potatoes weren't "bad", but could've used either garlic or cheese, preferably both.
Decide to go out for breakfast and I think I made a pretty good choice.. I didn't know they had a brunch menu with a nice variety to choose from it also included a drink of 3 choices such as Mimosa,Bellini or Screwdriver. I had The Huevos Rancheros part of the special with a Caphrina paid extra cause it wasn't part of the special but I knew this and that's what I wanted. I can say I enjoyed my brunch. I might just make it my weekly spot!!😀
Consistently very good food and great cocktails! Love the Brunch menu - the Huevos a la Mexicana was so flavorful and delicious. One star off because the service was very slow on our last visit - no water/menu for about 15-20 min after we were seated and nobody checked on us to ask if we wanted anything else.
Arroz con pollo food portion was small. Was served in cast iron type plate however was lukewarm and no crunchy rice at the bottom like it's supposed to be served traditional. The rice was mushy. For the price point. Very inflated and not worth it.
The restaurant is located in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn. They prepare Mexican/Spanish cuisine. Servers are available for dining in. Soups, salads, appetizers, empanadas, entrees including fajitas, burritos, tacos and quesadillas, sides and beverages are available. I ordered the chicken enchiladas, vegetable burrito, chicken empanada and elote placero. The chicken was not easy to chew. The food was average in taste and flavor. Friendly and helpful staff.
Disappointed with the Service I’ve been to this restaurant several times, but only because my wife absolutely loves coming here with her friends. However, every time she and I come alone, the experience is completely different. My wife and her friends, who happen to be lighter-skinned, always receive great service—waitresses are friendly, attentive, and even make suggestions. But when it’s just the two of us, that friendliness disappears entirely. The service we get is noticeably colder. We’re barely checked on, and there’s no effort to make us feel welcome. On my most recent visit, we weren’t checked up on at all after receiving our food. When it came time to pay, the waitress dropped off the check and never came back. After waiting much longer than necessary, we went to the register and found her sitting on a bucket in the kitchen. To be clear, the owner has always been amazing, and this review isn’t about him or the restaurant itself. This is solely about the female staff who work here. The difference in how we’re treated compared to other tables is stark and unacceptable. My wife can continue to come here with her friends and support this place, but as for me, I won’t be returning.
I tried this place about 8 years ago and then again in 2025. It was so bad the first time it took me 8 years to give it another try. Also cos there are lots of good Mexican restaurants around. AGAIN it was soooooo bland. So dry. How can Mexican food be so meh. The chicken in my flautas were so dry they were crusty - in a bad way.. NEVER AGAIN. I didn’t drink - I think it might be famous for its cocktails which I cannot speak to.
The chicken empanadas were clearly cooked in old oil and had a horrible taste — I couldn’t even finish them. The steak tacos were also very disappointing, with no flavor at all. Overall, not a good experience.
