Used to come here for lunch only and was always happy with their food and interior. Last week decided to celebrate my birthday here and couldn't have been more satisfied! Everything was perfect, the food, the atmosphere and the service which need to be mentioned separately. We had two servers taking care of our group and the girls were just amazing, so attentive, anticipating all our needs: the guest brought bouquets - they were already preparing a vase to put the flowers in, I didn't even have to ask, we also brought our own wine and they also took care of it. I will certainly be coming back here for dinner too now.

This restuarant was amazing. The food was just delightful. Our server was nice. And last but certainly not least, the prices were fair. I got an 8oz strip steak and it was delicious. I asked for a medium cook, and they nailed it on the first try. For dessert, I had chocolate cake topped with warm chocolate sauce and ice cream. It was delicious .

After reading all the reviews, I was very skeptical. Contrary to the reviews, I found the place charming. The food was delicious and we loved the check when it arrived. Where else in South Brooklyn (outside of the standard shish-kebob places) can you get an awesome meal under $40 for two. I must say the complementary appetizer from the chef was delicious and surprising. We will be coming back again for sure.

Amazing place that I call a gem of our neighborhood! I am in love with this place. Gallery serves the most delicious Russian style food I have ever eaten. Everything is wonderfully prepared, delicious and fresh. Very welcoming home like atmosphere, live music on weekends and attentive service. Amazing restaurant... nothing bad to say about service or food. We had chicken cutlets, tropical salad, and beef stroganoff. I swear I've never had better napoleon in my life. The service was awesome and nothing bad I can say about this place. Wish the restaurant was closer to my house.

It's a shame I didn't understand if this place was popular or not, my friends and I were going there for a Saying goodbye Which we buried 40 days ago. was Monday evening, there were no other customers there except us The prices seemed normal, we chipped in $55 dollars per person . There was a lot of beautiful food, I really liked the appetizers - herring, sausage, meat, salads. The compote is generally wonderful, the main dish is delicious fish, I haven't tried the meat,Coffee, delicious tea, delicious Napoleon dessert. Honestly, maybe I was very hungry because I liked everything and I ate a lot, which is not like me usually 😹Two clean large toilets. I think they have a TV there sometimes, karaoke nights, and otherwise unobtrusive music plays. We ordered a table in advance, I think there were 10-11 people and 750 was paid

Karaoke starts at 9:00pm on week days and 10:00pm on weekend. The waitresses are very nice and thanks for their patience. We had birthday party at Gallery Cafe few days ago and came there with the kids. After dinner time the kids got very excited and had some run around the place and they were kind of noisy. The staff was very understandable and let them play without giving any comments. I recommend it 100%👍👍👍

Definitely my go-to spot! The atmosphere is warm and cozy, the staff are welcoming, the owner is just an awesome guy! Everyone is super accommodating and the food .. oh man! The food is delicious. My personal favorites - tuna pizza (seriously, can eat that every day!), the liver pate (O M G that sauce!), avocado salad (amazing!!!), fried potatoes with mushrooms (to die for!), the stuffed fish filet (can I have the recipe please?), oh and of course - Kompot and the chocolate crepe with ricotta, mmmmm ... there is so much deliciousness in this little hidden gem, you absolutely must try! Eating in, picking up to go, ordering out (btw they deliver till 10 pm on weekdays and waaaaaaaay past midnight on weekends in case you've got a case of munchies haha) - go for it! Oh and if you feel like singing, Fri/Sat/Mon are karaoke nights till 4 am!

Nice place for parties! They place good music and work with you if you need something additional. They have 4 TVs to play slide shows. The food is delicious.

I got mixed feelings about this restaurant. It used to be very dicent spot with good food. We came over on Tuesday night. This place was empty. There is sign on the front door "Grade Pending" so I made sure to order only well cooked food. Our waiter was very nice. The food was mostly good except the salmon fillet dish that smelled kind of funny. I really hope that once pandemic will be over the quality of the food and the popularity of this place will be back.

I visited this place myself and also ordered delivery. When I was there food was OK (not the best really) and waitress wasn't smiling at all. In average was ok. After my delivery today I decided to put it at 3 stars as delivery guy was rude. In general the place is not bad. Very good interior! The pricing is also a bit high.

Went there twice, and food was delicious. No complaints about the service. But the 3rd time, we placed a takeout order, which included 5 potato pancakes with caviar. Food was not as great, and what they call "caviar" was a tiny amount of some orange watery substance with a few questionable grains in a 1 oz. container. See attached picture. It was so small and looked so unappetizing that it went straight to trash.

The chicken soup was tasteless and oversalted to the point that it was not edible. It would be better if you charged more but provided a decent soup.

Hate to give the place a two stars rating, because the food is actually good.. but if you don’t put a complimentary piece of bread (like restaurants with more than two stars do) with an order of a soup and an entree, at least have it as an add on option, so the customer knows to purchase it (ordered through UberEats)

I hate leaving bad reviews but this time I couldn’t stop myself from doing this. First of all it says that the delivery will take up to 45 mins. I waited for more than an hour. Then a delivery person who even didn’t say hi to me. Just gave me the bag and left which is not polite for me at all. After all my chicken stroganoff which supposed to come with a side was without it. I called the restaurant and asked for a new chicken stroganoff but with mashed potatoes this time and I said I will return the previous order. The girl said she will talk with her boss. So she called me back and all they could do after my bad experience just send me mashed potatoes. The reason they didn’t send me the whole dish was because it will take much time to prepare a new chicken. Well okay. Two stars for a nice borsch soup.

Very deceiving pricing. They charge $3 for 2 slices of bread (in other places bread is included in soup or sale price). They charge for water $3.50 (water that is supposedly free home everywhere). Food is good, nothing special. I won’t be back. You have to be fare to your customers PS to owner’s reply: soup price is $8.95, not $5.95. You can’t be fare in pricing even in your response . And yes, other restaurant also don’t get their bread for free but still don’t change for it. Somehow

The first time we had dinner at this cafe many years ago. The food was very tasty, and I recommended that place to all my friends. Subsequent dinners have become so-so-mediocre. Last time I was among the guests. Being a close friend, we looked at the check together. The waitress said, that they had already added 18% service fee, but if we want to give more, they will gladly take it. My friend gave them an extra 15% and (OMG) the waitress took it. I think it was just humiliating.

Food not as delicious as it used to be.Last time I was here 3 years ago everything on the menu was tasty. I remember the taste of Crepes with mushrooms, came all the way from manhattan to get those, unfortunately was not the same. Disappointed. Maybe owners changed or the cook. We had ten people for a party. We ordered a banquet style food order and for what we paid we got a very small amount of food for ten people. I’ve been at many Russian style restaurants and the experience and food amount was very poor. The serving staff works on tip. They weren’t personable what so ever. I wouldnt recommend this for a party setting.

Decided to order dinner from Cafe Gallery tonight. What a mistake!! 30 mins late, all the food was cold but even worse than that- one of our entrees (skirt steak in teriyaki sauce) was 3.0 oz! 3.0 oz for $17.50 by the way. I couldn’t believe it and called the restaurant immediately telling them this must be a mistake and asked if they can please bring me the correct portion and I’ll return this one to the driver. I was told that this is in fact the correct portion (again.. 3.0 oz of steak) and that the chef has been giving them issues about changing the prices in the menu since he is the one who decides what is on the menu and for how much. He also told me that I am not the first person to complain but unfortunately he cannot do anything except allow a refund through seamless which I should be receiving within 5 business days. I am so shocked because I have heard that the food is really good; Which I can’t speak on yet since I’m still heating it all up 🙄 Lesson learned, no more cafe gallery.

Were overcharged $30 on a $200 bill. We oreder based on the online menu and prices on their own website. when we recieved the food the attached receipt showed totally different prices. For example, the price of branzino on their website is $19.95 and they charged us $29.95. Ptretty much all other items we got from them were over the price stated in the menu on their website. To add up -they wanted us to pay cash. obviously. For that they offer discount. But even with the discount the price was more than in the menu.

I had extremely bad experience with Cafe Gallery. On June 5th I called them and made reservation - 8 people party for Father's Day, June 17th at 3:00pm. Since on June 17th temperature was pretty high outside, I decided to call the place ahead of time and ask to put some water on our table for our party to have something to drink upon arrival. It was already around noon on Father's Day. To my astonishment I was told that they don't have my reservation. After my complains the lady who answered the phone was able to find my name and phone number on their book but crossed out. Her explanations -- maybe you called us and cancelled your reservation (and now just want to embarrass my family by bringing them in) or maybe we couldn't get in touch with you (no calls from their number on my phone, no messages) but they couldn't help me now. And she just hung up on me. Did not even apologize! Just imagine my humiliation and what my family members and I had to go through trying to find another place on this busy day! My advice to Café Gallery customers – don’t get too comfortable with your reservation. Call them again and again to make sure it was not crossed out without explanation. Or better yet, just don’t go there if you want to be treated with respect.

I was there for more than 10 minutes before a server appeared. When the server appeared I was told I couldn’t have a cocktail until 10pm; yet this was at 3pm on a Friday afternoon!! When I asked the server what the skirt steak entailed, she said that it was a steak skirt, that it; therefore she didn’t have full knowledge of what she was serving! And when the steak arrived, it was cold and without a steak knife! These are basics so to have a server not fully be aware of them, shows that the restaurant is cutting corners on hiring professionals to pay less to clueless staff, and yet the prices are set at the cost of a professional experience. The setting of the restaurant is great,and warm, I wish they would match the setting with the experience they provide for all customers, and not just those who speak Russian!

Food was pretty good, waiters were really nice and attentive. The man behind the bar who hadn’t served us once all night decided to go outside and curse us out to the security guard IN FRONT OF THE BIRTHDAY GIRL because we were taking “too long to leave”, when we let the waitresses know one table was staying for karaoke, which is why they weren’t leaving. We all left immediately and safe to say we’re never coming back.

Man at the door was extremely rude and asked us to pay $10 each to enter their empty restaurant on a Saturday at 6 pm. Said he can’t take card and can’t pay with card at the table, which is fishy in itself. This is a restaurant, not a club. Said the policy was on their website but just checked and it’s nowhere to be seen. We even made a reservation and they said nothing about it over the phone. Ridiculous customer service with food that is IDENTICAL to restaurants next door. Left our reservation to go elsewhere. Air conditioner is not working , the owner knows it and is doing nothing , people are not warned ahead of time that in 92 degree weather the air conditioner inside is not working , never goi g there again

Be careful, they charge different/higher prices from what they have on the printed menu without prior notification on phone or in person. After we picked up the food and asked why bill is different price, they said their prices are now higher but don't have updated menus. They didn't bother even correcting existing menus with a pen or something (other places do correct even over the printed prices, but this place kept them the same, plus staple the printed menus to pick up orders). Is it negligence or false advertisements, not sure. And technically, the Mon-Fri 20% off is applied but would be false advertisements as per this scheme. We had to warn our neighbors (whom most are elderly) in the building of these errors as the store leave Ads on each apartments door. It's easy fix and we're willing to pay higher prices if not for these discrepancies. Hope they address this and not lose another customer.

The experience at this karaoke café was disappointing. The DJ Yura completely disregarded the proper song lineup between customers, allowing some patrons to perform multiple times while others waited endlessly. It felt unfair and poorly managed, turning what should have been a fun evening into a frustrating one. If you’re looking for a fair and enjoyable karaoke night, this might not be the place. The lack of organization and attention to customer experience was really disheartening. Would not recommend.

The prices ok. Good service, but DJ karaoke ask 20$ for single song. Other way you have to wait 5-10 songs waiting time. It is mean you have to wait for people pay a head. I tried to fight with management, but waist of the time. I do not recommend.

I received a delivery order from this place. Absolutely horrible. The attitude from the driver was disgusting, complaining that the location is too far. Then, I opened my food and bit into the chicken kebab, the meat was super undercooked. You can see in the picture that there is even blood in the little portion, the other picture the meat is red. I don’t know how this place is opened with serving their customers undercooked chicken. Disgusting. Edit: The owner of the business contacted me shortly after. He apologized for such service. He even offered to order lunch again on the house to make it up to us, which was very kind of him. The lunch that was delivered to us was much better. It was more well prepared, delicious. Thank you for being so consistent with your customers. I appreciate it!
