Covert Brooklyn Reviews
Amazing spot, lucky to call it my local coffee shop. Try the egg breakfast tacos ($6 ea) on flour tortillas with the green sauce - amazing stuff. Coffee is always bangin. I had a latte there the other day that was so pretty that i (very uncharacteristically) took a photo of it to remember. Staff is super friendly, even when they’re dealing with long lines. Also a great spot to shack up when you need to get some work done. Love this spot
Cortado (pictured) was true to its name and delicious. And small espresso drinks come with sparkling water. So classy. Also: Marco is the best! Not only is he a fantastic barista but he also just has this knack for bringing out the best in people and making a space feel like a community. It’s really special <3
The PEC is one of the best sandwiches I've had. The flavor profile is so good! Great latte as well! Service was friendly. Atmosphere is a chill vibe.
Covert is a chill, well designed spot in Bedstuy. The owner Aaron believes in promoting an open environment that welcomes people from all backgrounds. The baristas are all super nice. The coffee is REALLY good. They have doughnuts and some tasty pastries. This is a great working environment.

Friendly baristas, comfortable space, and good coffee. First time here and had a good experience. I ordered a cinnamon mocha and it was the best mocha I’ve had in the area in a while — not too sweet! The barista did a great job. The ambiance was a good balance of being quiet enough to read/get some work done, but not so quiet that you can’t have a conversation or call without ruining the vibe.
their hazelnut mocha is one of the best i've had, so rich and not overly sweet! and my partner got the vegan taco with a corn tortilla so there is a gluten free option. he said it was delicious!
Best coffee in the neighborhood. Grounds are properly weighed on a scale for every cup and the staff are all wonderful people.
Covert rules. I go there frequently for cold brew, bagels and now delicious gummy bears ( RAWR!! ) - always super super friendly staff; Danai being a particular stand out. If you have the honor of enjoying this coffee shop, do yourself a favor and say hi.
Great atmosphere, super delicious breakfast tacos and yummy cortado and cold brew. If I lived close by I would be there often.
Great staff and solid espresso. Proper pull. Haven't had any other coffee there. But the vibe is pleasant the lighting is good for reading. People are relaxed. Very pleased to find this.
I tend to go here to work on any assignments, get creative, take out a divine matcha, or even just decompress. The staff members are bubbly and homely, their smiles don't seem overused and fake like many places do to get higher ratings. Their drinks are immaculate and they will change up yours for free(as long as it's the same one you ordered) if it's not quite right and needs a bit more milk. Their food, personally, isn't the best. It's large and their options aren't my favorite. Food-wise, there aren't that many options, but it's not terrible. My go-tos are bagels or a egg and cheese sandwich. The pastries are delicious, definitely recommend their waffles. Their seating and atmosphere is touchè, the first time I went there they were playing the band "Big Theif" on the speakers, I never heard it over there again despite their music always fitting the cafe mood in a way it's hard to describe. In the seating corner by the counter there's a whole collection of Encyclopedias if you ever feel curious. Fyi, Google Maps says they open at 8AM on Sundays when they really open at 9AM.
I've started coming here once a week or so and I really like it. It's a cozy spot with good music, and sometimes there's even an old anime or other background entertainment playing on their projector. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I'm a fairly reserved person, but - if you're more gregarious - it's clear they have neighborly rapport with their regulars. I typically come early in the morning, so it's usually pretty quiet when I go. But I do know it can get busier as the day goes on. The food is pretty good and - I think - reasonably priced for the area. I'm a big fan of the PEC (prosciutto, egg, and cheese w/carrot aioli), and I've heard the breakfast taco is also pretty good. There's a decent array of pastries and several bagel selections if that's more your style. I have simple coffee tastes and their brews are always delicious. I've seen them making more complex orders, and it's clear they know what they're doing.
I recently visited Covert and was immediately struck by the friendly vibe. The staff here are super welcoming and know their coffee inside out. Speaking of coffee, it's amazing – rich, flavorful, and perfectly brewed. And don't even get me started on the food; it's fresh, tasty, and has something for everyone. This place is a real find for any coffee lover.
Stopped in for the first time on Saturday. The two men that greeted me were extremely kind and welcoming. Coffee was made very well and it is clean/relaxing inside (plenty of space to sit!). I will definitely have to stop by again. I hope that they expand their menu to have some speciality/seasonal drinks soon.
Best café in the neighborhood 🤍 Genuinely kind, fun staff who take their coffee seriously. Always a place to sit. Saturday morning cartoons playing in the background. They just launched a food menu and a croissant cake that is absolutely transcendent. It’s just good vibes
Believe I just found my new favorite spot in the hood. What a cute spot to work or just pass though. Great coffee!! Thought it was Manhattan priced tho ($6.80 for iced latte) look forward to coming back :)

Been coming here since this place opened and have watched it steadily go downhill. It went from usually really good with an occasional bad drink or item to typically the items suck. Service is awful unless the owner is there, and he's really great. We got lox bagels recently and the lox was rotten. Just disappointing to see a good neighborhood spot go downhill.

No one says a word when I walked in. They all just stared blankly. I asked for an Americano to go and the cup was clearly crushed with a finger to cause spillage during drinking. Just another stuck up, entitled coffee shop for hipsters who don’t care about service.

I’m a regular here I like their coffee, however the black lady with braiding hair has a terrible attitude. She made you wait and serve other customers even if you order before them!!! Hope the manager gives her a lecture about customer services !
