Empire Express Chinese Restaurant Brooklyn Reviews
Great food, great price. Some of the best American Chinese food, not authentic but still delicious. If you are trying to decide between expensive "authentic" Chinese restaurant that will most likely turn out to be meh and this absolutely great Americanized Chinese spot, there's not comparison. Empire Express every time.
I agree with prior posters, if you have a hankering for good, we'll-executed Chinese American food, this is your place. Ordered: pan fried dumplings (a definite cut above most local Chinese takeout, must be either a higher quality wrapper or great execution or both), the winning dish of roast pork with green beans (superb flavoring with tender green beans and perfectly roasted pork - nicely flavored and not overly sweet and cloying sauce), Szechuan chicken (good slicing with tender broccoli and nicely wok fried chicken), pork fried rice (fine). Look, I'm usually one of those people that prefer authentic regional Chinese cuisine and, yes, that was baby corn in the Szechuan chicken, but this was truly excellent. Worth a five star review.
Best food for lunch on a budget - GOOD food and a nice place to sit and relax.

This is one of my go-to lunch spots in the neighborhood. I prefer their buffet style selection and it's hard to beat their convenience and price. I recommend their curry chicken. Just ask for them to put it on top of the rice.
Best Chinese food in Brooklyn for such a good price. The staff are extremely kind. Huge menu and the best duck noodle soup.I get greeted like a friend every time I go.
Located in the heart of Park Slope is Empire Express. This Chinese food restaurant is very welcoming and the staff are amazing. The food is out of this world delicious. The food filled with flavors that will wow you. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for quick option of Chinese food.
I love this place and you can’t tell me different. Cheap , tasty, reliable eats 🙏🫶
Great meal, great price, generous portions: I left full and happy. Honestly, when I first walked in, I wasn't sure. A bare-bones establishment with simple, indoor, booth-style seating. However, for a very reasonable price, I was able to get a large serving of either lo mein or rice with four, yes four, choices. There was so much meat with mine I couldn't finish it all. But it was all delicious and I'll definitely return when I'm in the area again!
Good, cheap, and easy to order Chinese food. Given this is a buffet place in the times of Covid, I am always impressed that I can place my order on an app and pick it up within 10-15min. Easily 2-3 meal portions for each of the non-combo items (e.g. lo mein, broccoli & beef) and it reheats really well.
I placed an order for 7 people today and I'm very impressed with the entire interaction. Not only is the food delicious and fresh, but the service was phenomenal! I had the food within 20 minutes of ordering. I requested an itemized receipt and it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Everything about this place was amazing👏
It's a really nice spot to eat. They have a buffet style setup where you can pick and choose up to a certain number of items with either rice or lo main. If you don't want the buffet, you can always order as you would at a fast food restaurant. Either way, the customer service is great and the food is good. Social Distancing and safety measure are taken at that location as well.

Good Chinese food take out or eat in with a small daily buffet where you can select from. The staff is friendly and helpful. Rice or lo mein and one buffet item is currently $3.50. I would give it five stars but the broken floor tiles need to be replaced and the lavatory updated.
the food was mid got shrimp low mein they was nice they have dim lights u cant really see anything

This is a place for a filling meal. In addition gto the normal menu, the have a buffet.Mini for 3.50 with one rice, one side. medium for 5$, one rice 2 sides, large with a whole lot more. You can choose the rice or noodles. The rice is not too greasy and under salted, so you can add more seasoning as per your taste. The food is hot and served quickly. I went at around 12:30 and there was room to sit. Overall cheap eat and filling.
Pretty staple Chinese delivery food. Significantly cheaper than some of the surrounding Chinese places. The delivery took the exact amount of time stated on seamless (45 min), the food was hot and fresh tasting. They also really listened to my special requests (all white meat chicken in the General Tso's chicken, light on the oil in the Mei Fun). The only annoying thing was that they called me twice and said that the delivery guy was outside, but he wasn't... So they must have had the wrong number.
Good and consistent American Chinese takeout Don't forget to tip the hella fast delivery people!

The food is okay, the Seafood Boils portions are too small for the money. The paella rice was nothing to rave about. This is just Chinese seafood with a twist of Cajun.
Overall the food is unappetizing because it is drenched in oil and/or sauce Chicken and Bean Curd - barely any chicken, bean curd drenched in soy sauce, thick pool of black sauce at the bottom Hunan Pork - way too oily Twice Cooked Pork - way too oily Also did not like how to-go containers are not labeled as microwave safe

This restaurant is soooo filthy from the floors tables counters can only imagine what the back looks like walked in n out
Worst food I have ever bought! Lo mein was greasy. Unsure what the eggroll was stuffed with. And the pork tips were fatty. I threw it out.
