ETC Eatery Brooklyn Reviews
Since I was walking by, I checked out this restaurant. Staff service was remarkable as always. They serve huge amounts at reasonable cost. This spot changed my opinion completely. The cost-to-quality ratio is excellent.
I’ve been coming here for a while their food and drinks are great and at a pretty reasonable price, specially their matcha top tier! I love it, their staff is very friendly and welcoming, always recommend this place! 10/10
I liked it a lot. It's right across from the Empire State buiilding. You can come in and serve yourself with a ton of different food, drinks, pastry, fruit, veggies or candy options. Weigh your plate and pay by the pound. The prices are fair for NYC, and you can really find anything you like, from meat, fish, pasta, veggie or vegan options- just pile the preferred food on your plate and go to the cashier. You can eat there using plastic utensils or take it out. Enjoy!
So awesome! It’s like an Asian Whole Foods - part grocery/convenience store but with hot food and food stalls inside. They also have collectibles for sale like Funko Pop and mystery blind boxes which were fun to look at. They have sushi, a hot buffet, ramen stall, bakery, desserts, and alcohol. Outside is an enclosed seating area. Would definitely suggest coming here.
This is a sleek new-ish space for grabbing more affordable food on the go, although it also has seating upstairs and downstairs. It’s got your typical food buffet bars, including a fruit buffet, as well as a large selection of drinks, waters, juices, coffees, and the like. It has a snack section, a little toy/import section, and a coffee bar. It also has deli-type food made to order - it’s your twenty-first cafeteria. I like going for the sushi.
We stopped here for coffee during our short stay in New York. Great coffee with the feel of a nice mall food court. Great place to warm up and visit and it is located near all the shops. Large windows with beautiful natural lighting warm you as you visit.
We called in here for lunch after visiting the Empire State Building. The place is kind of like a food court. You select the food you want and take it to the front counter to pay. We went to the Thai place and it was perfectly adequate. It is reasonably priced which makes a change from the usual NYC fare.
Have only been for breakfast but it has a great selection. Anything can be customised, all made fresh to order. Also has an amazing selection of hot and cold buffet dishes. Everything from soup, salad, stew, ribs etc. Also a good selection of fruit, juices and other drinks. It's directly opposite the Empire State Building between 33rd and 34th Street in 5th Avenue. Would recommend.
- This place offers a lot of things all under one roof, from food to candy to groceries to household items to toys and a seating area. They have a focus on Asian culture, which is cool, but also not all they offer. If you take the time to browse the entire establishment, you’re definitely bound to find something intriguing to buy as I did. - FOOD - if you’re looking for food, they have a hot buffet, cold buffet, food made to order, pre made food, a wide section of drinks, a grocery section they have a whole dedicated candy section. You can definitely find something, but it may not be the most fulfilling meal you could get in the area. I ordering their “Tonkatsu” ramen (instead of tonkotsu), a Cobb salad and a few exotic drinks. I was expecting the ramen to be tastier, but it was very similar to instant ramen (with the flavor pack) and they just added a few veggies and two slices of pork. It was fine, but not worth ordering again. The Cobb salad was very filling and tasty, but there was not enough dressing and I wasn’t asked how much dressing I wanted. The drinks were very unique and good if you want to try something different then what you’re use to. - This is a great place to get random items that you may not need, but you find them amusing enough to purchase. They have funny aprons and socks. They have toys and mainstream entertainment items that are great for children (like the avengers, dragon ball z, unicorn things).
My daughter and I ordered from the grill hot sandwiches chicken and grilled cheese sandwiches. The sandwiches were horrible, my daughter chicken sandwich was hard and tasteless, my grilled cheese was totally black on one side, the onion rings was cooked so hard they were not edible, the fries was the only well cooked items that was enjoyable and our coffee was amazing. Why would anyone send out food cooked like that. We paid too much money for this food to be garbage. Very disappointed!
I came here today around 130pm I went to the hot sandwich counter. Where I was greeted and I asked for a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. The Hispanic men cooking took my order but decided to clean the grill beforehand. Which I appreciated. But then I watched as they took multiple orders and started making them before even starting mine 🫤 cooking eggs and reheating bacon literally takes 2 mins. Idk if they didn’t want to take orders from a woman lol (machismo) or what? It was very rude. I am a paying customer. I will not be going back
I had a vegan burger there with fries. It is the worst burger I have ever had in my whole life. It tasted weird, the burger bun was dry. Their fries are horrible, they are deep-fried at a really hot temperature so it will basically "cook" the outside but not the inside and taste burn and full of grease. I got sick after eating there yesterday and almost called out of work. I was nauseous the whole night. Please spare yourself this place. The employees who were making my burger also seemed annoyed with me, when I was asking for salt or ketchup on my order. From what the other reviews look like there, there food is not fresh. It is my last time ever going there.
I purchased food at 5:29 PM from ETC Eatery, located at 345 5th Ave, New York, NY 10016. However, when I opened the box in-store, the food was sour and tasted expired. I requested an exchange, but the staff at the counter refused, stating that they do not allow any returns or exchanges once the box is opened. She told me I could report the issue to the government, but they would not take any action to replace the item. And I have already reported to 311
BE AWARE they like cash. Good food, but they are just like Bread and Butter charge 3%+ if you are paying with a card. There is a small sign at the register where it says about the extra charge if you are not paying with cash. Update went there today to get a quick bacon egg and cheese on a roll and it’s $7 plus tax. Couldn’t see it on the menu board when ordered. The highest price in the area, so far.
