Fornino Brooklyn Reviews
The best pizza in the world. The pie is absolutely unbelievable. I always go for the Funghi Misti — we love mushrooms! But honestly, every pie here is a game changer. They’ve mastered everything to perfection: the crust, the balance of flavors, everything. The staff is always polite and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. And if you use apps like InKind, you can even save some money. Highly recommended. 🍕
Brandon is an amazing host !! Very friendly !! The atmosphere is cute & quaint... I love the ambiance.... the music is perfect not too loud so you can have nice intimate conversations with friends or your loved ones. The food and wine is amazing...the price is reasonable....I would definitely come back when I'm in the area again.
they went above and beyond! It was our anniversary and they came out and surprised us with pizzas shaped like hearts! The manager and our server both checked in on us and wished us a happy anniversary. The pizza is some of the best I've had in the city. Thank you for your hospitality Fornino!
Ordered a Margherita pizza to go! The pizza was delicious! While I was waiting for my pizza the lady by the register with dark hair poured me a glass of water. Pure class!
Best place for gluten free pizza / eats! Been coming for years and the space is massive- very deceiving from the outside. They even have a patio in the back! I love the open kitchen concept for the pizza making so you can watch the whole process. Team is always friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend !
We order delivery from here typically once a week. The no cut option made already great pizza excellent. We also think they have the best Caesar salad around! Outside of pizza's dont sleep on the Calzones.
I recently ordered a variety of pizzas from Fornino for a holiday event and everything arrived hot and right on time. The pizzas were delicious, and it was great to have solid gluten-free options for our guests as well. Everyone loved it. Such a reliable go-to in the Greenpoint neighborhood.
This place has the best food and the service is amazing. Most places it takes about an hour for someone to come but they make sure that you’re doing good a lot and they are very fast at making food. No talking about food their food was outstanding you could taste all the flavors it was like a blend of paradise and food. If you are anytime in Brooklyn or not I completely recommend this place. P.S if you do end up going get the chicken Milanese I had it without the burrata but if you like burrata I would absolutely recommend.
This is one, if not THE ONE restaurant I will always recommend for those looking for the best pizza in nyc. Trust me, are you trusting me yet? Two words “Spinach pie”. I know, in a world of meat lovers and other combos it may not sound as attractive. But if you give it a try, hopefully it will change your life just as it did mine. Putting all that aside, the service and atmosphere are great!! Perfect for date nights, girls night out or just a casual hang.
I would like to start by saying that everything we ordered was a 10/10. I was not disappointed with one item. We ordered the sangria, fornino spritz, arancini, tartufo e soppressata and tiramisu. This is the type of place you need to visit multiple times to try other things on the menu because it’s worth every penny. The service was also great we arrived about 30 minutes early for our reservation and were still accommodating.
Greenpoint staple offering fresh and incredible wood-fired pizza along with great hospitality. Vibe is super chill and laidback just exactly what one would expect from this location. Backyard dining area is a must when weather permits. Both menu and drink selection being so abundant is truly the key for return visits.
We had a reservation but on this Wednesday the restaurant was not full. Started with the gluten free Arancini with a slightly spicy sauce and were delicious 5 balls in a serving. Kale salad was amazing. Arugula good. We had the truffle pizza on gluten free crust. And a regular crust pepperoni. The brownie dessert was a big surprise! Gluten-free! The bottle of wine we wanted was out of stock. Etna rosso good substitute. I will come back for the gluten-free items alone.
The pizza is fantastic! Great crust & great service! Loved combinations of flavors and texture! The lady offered us some water while we were waiting. Pizza was ready in no time. We ordered it to take out. The place was right across the street from the Laundromat and Pinball, which was very convenient for us. Highly recommend!
My husband and I were walking around and found out about this pizzeria. It’s just perfect! My paladar was literally exploding with the appetizer “corn ribs with a pesto sauce”. I got a “Pera & Coppa” pizza that was INSANE, I never had a flavor with combined so well savory, spice, and sweet on the same bite!! You don’t know how much you need to try this place, so just go 😹
I've been coming here for years for their amazing pizza aand dinner menu, but recently just tired their new lunch menu and it definitely did NOT disappoint! The wood-fired oven works wonders on their lunch menu. The Sec Calzone (spinach, egg, cheese w/everything spice) , wood-fired French Toast and the flavorful Butternut Squash & Wilted Greens sandwich were exceptional! The bread for all the dishes is made fresh to order in their wood-fired oven and is INCREDIBLE!!!! Each bite was a testament to their mastery of the craft. Great food and a welcoming atmosphere make this place a true standout. The service was top-notch, adding to the overall great experience. This is definitely my new go-to lunch spot and new weekend brunch spot! Can't wait to try more of their lunch and bruncy items soon! Highly recommend!!!
With so many insanely good pizza options in the city I always hesitate to try new spots. Fornino however didn't disappoint and nailed the wood-fire concept. I went to the Greenpoint location which is warm and inviting with the pizza making magic on display right when you walk in. The menu has traditional Naples style pizza as well as their own creative combinations formulated over the years. The margarita style is a must and add to your order the Funghi. Don't sleep on the salads and Brussels either - fresh winners. They serve several Brooklyn Brewey beer options, vino and cocktails.
Good selection of appetizers, salads, and pizzas. Would be my “go to” restaurant if I couldn’t pick something else and I lived in the area. Salad was well balanced and had great taste. Smashed potatoes appetizer a must for any potato lover. The pizza and calzone are up to your preference of toppings, but the ones we ordered were perfect.
Have been there 3 times in 3 weeks for both Gluten Free and Regular pizzas. Absolutely amazing! My wife can't eat gluten and this is the best gluten free pizza she has ever had. They make their own blend of flower. The fennel sausage is great. Highly recommend the Monzese and Al Roker pizzas, but they are all great.
We have been customers of Fornino on Manhattan Ave since their second day in business over a decade ago. They still sometimes make an excellent pizza, but most of the time now I can say it is very good. They always had the foible of experimenting with the dough, and sometimes it has been a real let-down. Yesterday's pizza had an excellent topping, as we have come to expect, and was cooked to perfection, but the dough was a little less so, missing a little salt and being a bit more chewy than when they are at the top of their game. That said, a decent pizza from Fornino would be a very nice pizza for most other places. I think they may have changed owners in the recent past because of small changes to the shop anc the feel. But the quality is still there and you can still count on getting an enjoyable meal.
Nice small restaurant, casual vibes, clay fire oven. Service was fine, didn’t come by much but never had a water glass run dry. Not too loud, would recommend for lunch or dinner. Lighter crust with some char from the open flames. Sandwiches use the pizza dough which had a good crunch. Food was good, the corn ribs were a pleasant surprise! Would come back for lunch, maybe not be a go to pizza place, but the menu has many options and would be good for multiple people.
I knew this place, 3 years ago I visited it twice and honestly I had better experiences before. I took a smash potato for appetizer and they were great - I highly recommend it and so did my friend. I also ordered kale salad with chicken (I don't know why they were served separately) the salad tasted good, but in my opinion it had way too much dressing. My friend also ordered burrata with summer vegetables. The coffee was very good
