Fort Hamilton Diner Brooklyn Reviews
Great deluxe burger. A staple place in the neighborhood.
First and foremost, they're open 24 hours, which is pretty rare these days and also, everybody knows that the best time for a diner breakfast is at 4 AM with a buzz. The full Irish is a great pick. Great service always.
This is the best diner around and has the best service, great people.

My dining experience here was completely enjoyable. The beauty of this place adds to the experience. The staff turned our dinner into a cherished memory. This place serves large meals that are incredibly tasty. Fort Hamilton Diner executes their concept perfectly.
Wonderful service, staff goes out of their way to make feel welcome. Food is delicious.
Get your food from here! Fort Hamilton residents are very lucky to have this gem. Food is fresh and their prices are reasonable and the staff are great. Highly recommended.
My absolute favorite late night place for a burger! There’s lots of other great items on the menu as well. Quality of the food is great and the service is on par. Give this place a shot and it’ll be your go to spot for that late night, after the bar, greasy food fix!
no nonsense Brooklyn diner, within a stones throw of the Verrazano the menu spells out all the items and how much they cost the counter guy knew everyone coming in! my over easy eggs were perfect
The food is decent and this is a standard diner for the area. Nothing outstanding but nothing bad. What I like about this place is that it’s open 24 hours. When I was taking a class nearby, I’d sometimes get out late after studying so this spot was convenient.
Food always fast, hot and delicious. Service with a smile
A TASTE OF HOME! On a cold wintry night, January 3rd, 2026, Nicolas Maduro had just been captured in Venezuela and brought to Brooklyn. It was the buzz around town. The family was a little hungry, so we ventured out to discover a quaint little diner, the Fort Hamilton Diner. The menu was loaded with options, and we chose breakfast. The cashier/waiter and short-order cook were exceptional. The food was hot and home-cooked, and we were satisfied.
Open late with great service. Unfortunately, there was a person yelling about paprika at the top of his lungs, so we opted for takeout. The food was delicious so we'll definitely stop by again.
I had the Full Irish Breakfast. It was pretty good. I tried the Irish black pudding and Irish white pudding for the first time. I found out it's a blood sausage the black one and the white one doesn't have blood. I didn't know that. I thought it was going to be like the kind of pudding that we know in the USA. I liked the sausage and the bacon. I don't know why it was called Irish sausage and Irish bacon because I couldn't tell the difference from USA bacon and sausage. The home fries were decent. The toast was good. The coffee was okay. It was not the best coffee but it was drinkable. I liked the scrambled eggs just fine. I've been wanting to check this place out for a couple years so I was happy to go. The man who worked there taking orders was nice.
Good al fresco burger and fries were crunchy like they're supposed to be. I don't mind paying $14-15 for a good burger and fries, but when you charge $3.90 for a 12 oz can of coke, you lost me. They're 60 cents a can when you buy them in the store. Crazy.
I came here today for breakfast for the first time. The service was good and the people were friendly. Right now we are living in COVID times and I would have expected for the place to be a tad cleaner, especially the bathroom. The coffee is very good here and the food is just ok. The home fries that came with my omelette were very bland. They have a pretty extensive menu and prices are pretty reasonable. Would I come here again? Maybe...maybe not.
They really find ways to charge for everything separately. It become super expensive after adding a few additional items. The sides were much more expensive than the portions received. Food was pretty good. Average food choices as other diners / coffee shops. If you're in the neighborhood, it's a decent coffee shop. (Attached photos of the Interior and the menu)
Had to downgrade my 5 star review to zero. I actually stopped going here because they ripped us off repeatedly. Upgrades we didn't ask for, extra stuff we didn't order. One time could be a mistake but we gave them multiple second chances.
