Fresh Kills Bar Brooklyn Reviews
That creative cocktails were great. I loved how there was no menu and the wonderful hostess just asked a few questions to get an idea of what my companion and I were in the mood for. The drinks we received were spot on. Really loved the vibe as well. Had a nice ambiance - low lit and cozy. I will def be returning.
Fresh Kills Bar is pure cocktail craftsmanship. A true Milk & Honey-style gem — intimate, precise, and effortlessly cool. Rob absolutely crushed it behind the bar, serving up a flawless Ramos Gin Fizz, smooth Carajillo, bold Espresso Martini, and a killer Caipirinha. Every drink was dialed in and perfectly balanced. The kind of spot where you trust the bartender and just enjoy the ride. Can’t wait to come back.
My friends and I literally stumbled across this place, thought it looked cool and mysterious from the outside and so wanted to check it out. This place is COOL. We had 5 of us and we squeezed into one of their booths so I wouldn't recommend this place for larger parties. There is no menu - you simply tell your server what sort of flavor profiles you like and maybe a preferred spirit. The bartenders will then make something to fit that. There were 5 of us and they nailed it for all 5 of us. I definitely recommend this bar!
Amazing cocktails and ambiance! I’ve been to this bar several times and it never fails to impress me. The experience is very personable, your waiter/bartender will ask for preference on your drink and then will make the perfect cocktail for you. They never fail to make just what you have in mind. Love this bar!
Amazing atmospheric cocktail bar. There’s no menu, and the bartenders and servers simply take what you like and make a classic cocktail that fits that description. You can also ask for classics, as we did with the espresso martini and the clover club. The drinks were solid, and we were happy with what we got. It’s not quite the top level cocktail bar we’ve been to but it was distinctly enjoyable, and the atmosphere and pleasant staff made our visit really enjoyable and memorable. We’ll be back.
Loved the ambience and unique experience this bar offers. Thankfully didn’t have to wait for long to get in and was happy with the service I received. Described my preference to the bard tender and she came up with well mixed and strong drinks. Had a lemon drop and then a drink that infused pineapples in it (can’t remover the name). Kinda feels like there’s an unofficial menu in the waiter’s head when you state your preference but it’s interesting to see what they churn out when you share your preference.
They have the best ice in Brooklyn. The happy hour cocktails are a good deal at 11 dollars, but the regular price is on par with cocktail bars in Manhattan. The mixologists put time and effort into making drinks from scratch instead of pouring syrup out of a bottle and spraying the glass from a soda fountain gun. Excellent effort in shaking the cocktails as well.
We were visiting Williamsburg and stumbled upon this bar. It's a pretty small place and dimly lit. However, they serve really great cocktails. The staff is very friendly and helps you to have a great cocktail experience. We order the bartenders choice. They asked for our choice alcohol and other preferences (fruity, citrusy, and so on). We were a group of 6 people and each of us was served with a perfect cocktail matching our preferences. This was really mind blowing. We also had the Julep which was pretty good. They can definitely have more food options. Apart from that I would highly recommend this place if you want some good cocktails.
Amazing drinks!! Such a fun place if you enjoy cocktails and trust the bartenders in their work... except one thing, the service The reason I'll never go back.. the service. The waitress/hostess was one of the most rude and standoff-ish person Ive ever encountered. She should not be in the service industry. Very cold and dry and sucked all the fun out of this type of experience. So I'd say overall, find yourself another cocktail bar- there are plenty of them with a friendly face and the good drinks.
I never write reviews like this, but I was honestly shocked by how rude the staff was here. When I arrived, I told the host/server I was meeting friends at the bar. She asked me to wait while she took an order, which was mildly annoying but understandable. When she returned, she asked again if I was meeting people, and I said yes, at the bar. She walked me in, then stopped in the narrow walkway to chat with a friend. After a moment, she looked back at me and said, “If you’re meeting people at the bar, you should probably go find them,” then turned back to her conversation. It was a confusing interaction that made me feel like I had done something wrong? It turned out my friends were actually at a bar across the street, so I grabbed them and we all came back together. We were seated and the host/server was cold but polite. After our first round, she disappeared for a while and we wanted to order again. I waved to her very mildly, nothing urgent, but she didn’t notice because she was on her phone. We waited and kept chatting. A few minutes later, I waved again, still gently and honestly a little embarrassed. She was still on her phone. I caught the eye of a blonde bartender, who was also chatting with a friend, and she just stared at me. Eventually the bartender walked over and said, “I thought I’d come over since you CLEARLY need something IMMEDIATELY,” in a very tense, sarcastic tone. The host ran over and started apologizing while the bartender rolled her eyes and walked away. My friends were stunned and actually asked me if I knew her, because it felt so personal and hostile. After that, the host suddenly became overly nice, which made it even more uncomfortable. I work in service myself and I try to be an easy customer because I know how hard these jobs can be - but none of these people were busy. You can’t be a bar that insists on table service and then ignore your guests. And you definitely shouldn’t make people feel difficult for wanting to order. The vibe in here is nice and we would’ve stayed longer had it not become so weird. Do a little better
