Henry's Local Café Brooklyn Reviews
What a cool vibe and the pastries are so fresh. Normal prices for a change.
Has free WiFi, coffee and some food. Small place (about 11 small round tables) but great for sitting in your computer and getting some work done. The people who come her understand that it is not a load coffee house. You would not come here to grab a coffee with the girls and chat. It is more of an office space. It has dim lighting which is nice, and is decorated cool. With old black and white pictures all over. It’s a nice place to get some work done.
Friendly neighborhood coffee shop. Fast WiFi, homemade pastries and cakes (I liked the olive oil poundcake, but it's definitely a little different - rich and savory). Good selection of teas available, too. Plugs under the bench seat for charging up.

What a great find! I was walking along Henry Street and stumbled on this cute cafe. It has an old world feel and the barista Balu was sooo sweet. In house made overnight oats was delicious and so was the Iced Capp. Will be back!
Best overnight oats! ❤️ Love the latte, pastries and staff. And the house made sandwiches remind me of my travels to Italy - simple and delicious!
Very nice, lowkey and out of the way cafe. Service is great, the owner and baristas are friendly, and sometimes cafes are best for their simplicity.
Really yummy, big, and fluffy croissants. Great neighborhood vibes. Human and dog friendly
Excellent coffee and service. My go-to from now on
I love going to this cafe everyday during my break time. Everyone is so nice and makes you feel welcome! Shout out to Balu everyone loves him and he is so friendly and his service is great. He also knows exactly what I want.
This is the loveliest neighborhood cafe, and I'm so grateful for its existence. The drinks are delicious (their oat lattes are the best in this part of town) and I love their sandwich offerings around lunchtime.

Solid, cosy coffee house. A well mad Americano with good flavour, and the Ham and cheese croissant was great, not sure what the cheese was but more flavourful than basic cheddar so often used, it was maybe Gruyere? Excellent whatever the case. Four stars rather than five as I'm not sure it quite worth $12 for a large American and ham and cheese croissant. Nevertheless, I like this place.
Surprisingly delicious tortilla. Good relaxing vibe and free wifi. Wish I had one of these in my neighborhood.

While there is minimal room and resources, the coffee and food was quite good!
Bring back the inside! And regular hours! Often closed when I come by, a note stuck to the door, no regularity. The Google hours do NOT match their actual hours (close at 2 or 3pm it seems, or..whenever). Loved this place when you could sit inside. Now it feels like getting a coffee from a utility closet. Also, they often run out of tops or cups or [insert necessary coffee shop item]. Not sure what changed.
Super neighborhood cafe, great coffee, relaxed but stylish European decor. Update: recently overrun by laptops, tables usually taken up with bags sitting on empty chairs, and atmosphere more like a business living room. Decor still nice though, coffee still pretty good.

Staff were pretty disinterested in taking orders or maintaining eye contact. Despite being quiet, I waited about 12 mins for a tepid latte (which I had kindly asked to be extra hot). On the plus side, really nice decor and the roast was good. Maybe I got them on a bad day?
I'd say a nice average coffee shop, nothing too out of the ordinary. However, multiple times now they've been closed and locked during their business hours with no explanation. It's off the main Street, and now no longer worth walking over to.

so we choose to try this place last night (thanks Giving), the place had great reviews and my girl friends family is here from Germany for the holidays. The thanks Giving menu included a turkey dish, Salmon, sides and dessert. I really wanted to give them an authentic thanks giving experience. My girls mom, and aunt ordered the turkey, I had the same. My girl friend ordered the Salmon. The bill was $400 and this was the absolute worst meal I have every had. I was expecting a piece of turkey breast, but what we received was more like a frozen slice turkey like thing much like the stuff served in a high school cafeteria. The sides, mash potatoes, sweet potatoes, and string beans were serves piled on the same small serving plate, I mean it was a real mess! I have never paid so much for so little in my life. I would recommend this place to no one. Very disappointed, this is in no way shape or form fine dining.
I want so badly to like this place. It is convenient and great feel but they just cannot make a good espresso drink. I ask for the same drink every time -- very short Americano and have yet to actually have a pleasant drink there. Cold water added, large watery drink, and a barista who does not take clear, simple instructions. Makes me very sad, maybe they can turn it around, but if you aren't getting a plain black coffee I suggest making the walk to the peddler.😿
I have come here regularly for years and they’ve always had milk alternatives set out as options for adding to coffee. I understand being charged extra for dairy alternatives for lattes based on how much milk is used, but I have never been charged extra for a small splash of almond in my coffee... today I was charged a dollar extra. I don’t understand the reason for this, so many people are dairy free whether it’s for health, ethical or environmental reasons. It’s so unfortunate they’ve chosen to cheat their regular customers this way. With so many good cafes in the neighborhood that don’t charge extra for dairy alternatives in coffee, they’ve certainly lost my business.
New ownership and a decidedly unfriendly vibe. Barista tried charging me to remake my latte when she got the order wrong the first time. She harangued me for literally 10 min while she made my coffee. Used to love this place. Really disappointing.
