I'm not one to post reviews on Google but this deserves it. As somewhat of a self proclaimed Shawarma connoisseur (I always look for a Shawarma spot no matter where I go) this is one of the best I've had in a long long time. It's Authentic, the meats are perfectly cooked and just around awesomeness. Also go for the Shawarma Plus which has the fries inside the wrap.... And go for both the beef and chicken. Can't go wrong. Also such pleasant happy people serving the food.... 100 stars

The Lamb Chops that I got as part of the Lunch Platter (Lamb Haneeth) was the best that I had in NYC. The other Yameni Restaurants are not even close. They also recommend us to get Kebab Shawarma and it didn’t disappoint at all. All the employees were very friendly! After all the heavy meals just have a cup of their Yameni Tea and have a refreshing end to an amazing experience.

(No crazy up-charges for toppings except for a few premium toppings if you want to pay a little extra.) Everything tasted amazing and food was coming out hot and fresh out of the kitchen! one of the best jerk chicken i’ve ever had. its a “turo turo” (point point) type restaurant. all foods are on steam table and you choose what protein and sides you want. the chicken shwarma is excellent. even the fries are fresh cut and flavorful

I’m a real sucker for their half chicken. It’s a roasted half chicken that comes with two sides. They absolutely knocked it out the park with the flavors and the chicken is always juicy. So this was my first time having food from Yemen and it was absolutely delicious. I decided to dine in and my food was brought to me. I had the rotisserie chicken, yellow rice, steamed vegetables, and Yemeni tea. The chicken was juicy and well seasoned. I enjoyed the tea with the different spices and the service was great. I will definitely stop by again and try some of their other options or maybe the same because it really was good. The food also was very fresh. You could tell it wasn’t just sitting all day. Walk in on a hot summer day and it was hotter than the 90 degree heat outside. The cook top and hot food area is right by the door. Felt like an oven. But there is AC and seating inside. Food is good, but there was no shawarma until 1 pm. Was there at 11 am, so didn't wait. I had the beef kebab and chicken kebab. They were good. Part of the chicken was a bit over cooked, but the beef was very good. Service was good. Freshly cooked kebab. Still on the warm side in the seating area even with the AC on. But comfortable enough to eat in. Most people do take out.

I used to eat from here a lot. The food was always tasty and everyone that serves you is extremely friendly. The reason i stopped coming is because they have lowered the portion size and increased the price that does not sit well with me. I always believed in fairness in when running a business. I do not mind paying more for the increase of cost that everyone feels. But when i spent 20 dollars on a food and drink and the protein serving is just one piece of chicken, it doesn't quite add up. I think the portion size should be taken into consideration to compensate for the increase in price

The shawarma was average in my opinion. I like well seasoned chicken with some flavor. I think the chicken was well cooked and soft, it didn't stand out to me. I also felt the sauce (I got Kemo Sauce and Hot Sauce) didn't really add much. I think the main reason I didn't like it is because it didn't have a kick, average quantity, and $13 for a wrap is also average price. If you have a similar taste profile as me, I prefer Döner Kebab just a few blocks away and it's a similar price level but larger quantity and flavor.
