King David Tacos Brooklyn Reviews
#TGTG - this was a bag collection and I got 5 assorted tacos which were given piping hot. The added condiments/chatnis went great with the tacos. The special was the best with cranberry sauce followed by chorizo. The bean one was a nice surprise. The other two were okay. Personally while I like the soft taco bread I would have prefered a crunchier/toasted version This location has been open for 2+ years. I had a lovely chat with the owner who educated me on the history of breakfast tacos for context.
Firstly, the food is great. Taste amazing, we had the chorizo and steak tacos with both salsas. Great food, great service. 4 stars because they are a bit pricey for the size. (Also wish they were made to order) A plus, if you are vegan, they have good options for you.
I’ve been meaning to try this place for a long time and was not disappointed. I got the cowboy and BPEC and ended up needing to grab a third. These are a great snack option (or meal just grab a few). Everything tastes fresh even though they were premade. Only thing I would want is some ketchup (but it’s blasphemous, I know).
Underrated outside eating location in the neighborhood, and great for kids who love tacos
We used to pick these up from the mobile station by Prospect Park some mornings, but it’s good they now have a stable spot. I prefer the bean and cheese, and actually the veggie meat option (and I’m not a vegetarian!). The portions are excellent because you can pick out the flavor and protein and spice you want without getting stuffed. It’s an excellent casual place to try for a munch on the go, and it won’t break the bank. Grab a soda or Topo Chico, sit outside, bus your tray. Always glad to sneak a couple of these in.

Great variety, genuinely friendly staff, great tacos, good and fair prices. Can’t go wrong here.
KDT is such a delicious, reliable, and friendly spot for breakfast tacos. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Delicious, fresh, locally women owned. It is awesome to support businesses in the neighborhood! I found out about KDT through eating one at Joe’s coffee. Had to figure out where to eat more so I found their brick and motar spot. They also have an awesome outdoor space that has kids toys which I think is so thoughtful. Also they have a combo meal of 2 tacos and coffee (but who am I kidding I got a 3rd). Definitely check it out. I was lucky enough to be eating outside when one of the owners was out and she was very nice! The servi e was also great and they have a rewards point system.
The gates of heaven opened up when my lips first tasted King David Tacos’ queso: FINALLY, a decent, flavorful, SPICY Tex Mex queso. I’m a Texan who moved to Brooklyn back in 2022 and since then, I’ve been craving, nay, FIENDING for a quality queso. I realize now how spoiled I was back then with chains like Torchy’s and Fuzzy’s on every block. Every NY spot I’ve tried has either been mid or just downright disappointing. What a blessing KDT has been for this homesick Texan 🙏🧎♀️➡️
One of my favorite spots to grab a quick bite and eat outside in their cute dining area! Tacos are very flavorful and I love how they have so many vegetarian options. Comfortable and family friendly :)

Getting delivery is great but eating at the brick & mortar is fantastic! The queso to dip your tacos in fresh out of the pot 🤤 Also really cool to bike there and grab breakfast, plenty of space to park your bike while you recharge. I will always recommend this place!
King David Tacos Layout/atmosphere *Wall counter with two seats; window counter with two seats; tables outside next to building Food/drink *Complimentary water cooler *BPEC (Bacon, Potato, Egg & Cheese) - good [favorite] *Mom’s Migas (scrambled eggs with tortilla chips, salsa & cheese topped with jalapeno rajas) - good *Or’izo (house made chorizo, potato, egg & cheese) - good *Tahini Chocolate Chunk Cookie - good; salted; soft
The ⭐⭐⭐⭐ are for the flavors and service. The tacos appear small in their wrapper but two of them should fill you up. Both the BPEC and Or'izo taste great with a slight edge in tastiness to the BPEC mostly due to the excellent bacon. Service is speedy and friendly. That's the good... Sorry but I gotta give ⭐⭐ for the wrapping. Every taco I've gotten there has had ALL the cheese stuck to the foil which is kinda annoying. I would suggest either folding the tortilla over better or even putting the cheese on the bottom or side of the taco. All in all though, a great new food option in Prospect Heights.
Still not exactly like true Austin style tacos but it’s pretty good in New York! It’s a quick grab and go service as they’re pre-made. Also have nice assortment of drinks like horchata. Spacious outdoor area for seating.

Great food, it really hits the spot. Rating it a 3 because it’s very expensive (6.50 a taco) and not worth the bang for buck. Hopefully they can find a solution to cut cost by at least 50% for this to be a 5 star review

One of the more disappointing tacos I've had, unfortunately. I've been to Austin a few times and fell in love with their breakfast tacos from various food trucks, and....this ain't it. While the ingredients are somewhat flavorful, the preparation, presentation, and final product leave a lot to be desired. Traditionally at an Austin breakfast taco joint, whether it's a truck or a restaurant, your food is made fresh to order, and your tacos are spilling over with ingredients. This place pre-makes all their tacos, wraps them tightly in foil, and puts them in a warmer, like a gas-station. Once opened, they have become limp, mushy, and soggy since they've been saturating in their own steam, and you get the sad looking taco pictured here. I feel like if these were made to order, they would really shine. It's odd too, that here in the reviews they talk about their limitations since they are "grab and go" joint (whatever that is. Isn't that what a gas station is?), but there is nothing stopping them from making these fresh. The only thing preventing them from making these amazing is themselves. Make them fresh, guys!
I reallly wanted to give a higher rating here but I can’t justify the size of the tacos. I figured they would be similar to some southern Texas style tacos but not quite. They tasted delicious and staff was incredibly friendly while taking my order. However, paying $5-$6 for a taco that sits under a heated lamp is a little extreme.

Insanely insanely overpriced. They make tacos once a day and they sit under a heat lamp. This is the size of them. For $6 ($6!!!!) and mostly just eggs, it should be half the price. Good but it’s a snack. You might as well go to the bodega down the street and get a $6 sandwich that is literally 4x the amount of food.
I was excited when I heard “Austin-style breakfast tacos” but the tacos I tried were a far cry from an Austin taco.. so disappointing. First of all, the tacos were stuck to the aluminum wrapper they come in and it was a messy affair trying to get them out of it. Second, they’re lukewarm at best. Third, and most importantly, they completely lack flavor. Even the two salsas didn’t help :-/ At $5 a taco, they’re also overpriced for their size. I should’ve gone to Ursula’s instead and gotten one of their outstanding breakfast burritos.. as for Austin-style tacos: I’ll wait until I get back to Austin.
$6!!!!!! For tacos that are NOT made to order is insane. Seeing from previous reviews that they raised their prices within the last 3 months is even more insane. I could care less if the tacos have 15g protein or if the eggs were pasteurized, all of those ingredients were bought and not grown in a farm or made by hand (tortilla). They’re smaller than than my iPhone. I came here to try them and bought one to see if the taste would blind me from the price, but it tasted fine nothing worth $6. I’ve had breakfast burritos for $8 that pack an insane punch of flavor. Also the cashier or manager not sure who it was, was not very inviting and I know people go through things personally but jeez I thought when someone walks in a very small space they’ll at least get greeted first especially when they’re the only ones in the store.

*** Bergen location*** 4.1 more like 1.4 ... went there and the tacos were pre-made under a heat lamp wrapped in tin foil similar to a gas station burrito but 3xs smaller .The portion was very small...12.00 for 2 small tacos that tasted like they were made the day before. I wouldn't recommend to anyone! Awful experience awful food . Just dont do it !
KDT has always prided itself on fast delivery. Once again I have waited 2 hours without receiving my order and must leave my location. Do not order from KDT at breakfast time. They can’t handle it and I have low standards to that effect.
