Beautiful whimsical spot that makes you forget you are in the city. The decor has gorgeous and has little eye catching owls everywhere. This is a cute date spot to get the conversation going with good food! I highly recommend there steak and eggs, steak over enchiladas and salmon Benedict! If you have room, definitely get the crème brûlée or lava cake! They were light, melt in your mouth desserts that just hit the spot!

I’ve been coming to this brunch spot for years and it never disappoints. The steak and eggs is hands down the best — perfectly cooked and full of flavor every time. Their pancakes are also amazing, fluffy and delicious. The freshly squeezed orange juice is a must. Great food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere. One of my favorite go-to brunch spots — highly recommend! 🍳🥞🍊✨

This place.....what a beauty...a gem for sure. All the details from the outside walking in. You walk in and you feel like you are in Europe, as you walk in further into the restaurant part its truly magical. Its as if the city was taken away for a brief moment in time and you feel like your in a different world, the weight of the world is lifted and you feel the presence of calm and peace. The restaurant has its owner and surrounded by his family and friends showing the true essence of a tight neighborhood community. You truly have to experience it for yourself. The food was truly clean tasting and the coffee is excellent. With such a robust menu you cannot go wrong here!! My son and myself loved everything about it thank you!!

Le Petit Cafe has delicious food and an amazing ambiance. They have brunch available 7 days a week which is wonderful. I’ve yet to find another place that does this so well. I totally recommend the smoked salmon Benedict or the eggs florentine as well as the delicious pumpkin pancakes. The servers have always been kind to me and overall, I’ve never had a bad experience here. It’s a real hidden gem in Carroll Gardens.

Update Aug 22nd 2025: Thrilled that this #LocalGem continues to thrive and provide such a delicious food sanctuary. I'm not referring to a local organic food mart, but rather, the kind of place you imagined in your dreams that you could just relax into a moment and have servers carry out the whims of your palate & your mood. This is that place... still. And yet, with new concoctions coupled to the staples that, if you follow your nose, even Toucan Sam will throw away his fruit loops for. #AVTeats #theresthatfoodie Original Recipe Review: We were down the block awaiting seating at another establishment with similar ratings to Le Petit Cafe when I decided that 45 minutes was gonna be too long. So I searched on G.maps again and noticed this was just up the block. I have to say they had me at hello. The views from the display cases in the front to the beautifully appointed rustic patio in the back of the house made the experience a lot more than just about the food. Our server Jerry was Johnny-on-the-spot, or in his case Jerry-on-the-spot, and never skipped a beat on any of the tables he served. The food was served hot, fresh and to order. My Amaretto French Toast was delicious, to say the least, and when I asked for maple syrup it was delivered warm and in a small single serve carafe. There was a steady stream of patrons, from all walks of life, that gave the place a wonderfully diverse & energetic buzz. This is on the list for top places for breakfast & brunch, and I will return to try their lunch & dinner offerings. #LetsGuide #RecoveringKnowItAll

Le Petit is an absolute gem! I came here for brunch and everything was amazing from the beautifully presented dishes to the fresh, flavorful ingredients. The atmosphere was charming, elegant, and full of character. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger over coffee just to soak it all in. Service was friendly and attentive without being rushed.

Food and staff were absolutely divine. My family and I came to celebrate my sisters birthday and we have no regrets coming here at all, we will be back. Our waiter checked up on us and took very good care of us. Food was cooked to perfection, next time I’m back I’ll be trying the dinner menu :)

The food was absolutely amazing! came for my 21st birthday brunch, unsure of the waiters name but he was lovely and the other staff too. I personally had the penne ala vodka, and it was the best i have EVER had, perfect flavor and not heavy. The atmosphere is wonderful, coming from a jersey girl i loved it!

Adorable ambience and great food. I had the Mexican Benedict. The eggs were cooked to my liking and the breakfast potatoes it came with were firm, slightly crisp, and very delicious. Lots of space for bigger parties. Came on a Monday for lunch. Will definitely visit again.

It's a true crime that I have taken this long to post a review when I held my sister's bridal shower here and requested to have my own here lol the moment I found Le Petit Cafe I knew I would always recommend it. The entire venue is breathtaking, I found out it's a family business and the owner designed it himself. I can rant about it all day so let me give some key points: -There is a room separate from the restaurant that you can hold smaller events (showers, book clubs, etc.) -The main restaurant is whimsical and gorgeous, you can also hold small weddings and parties in that area. -The food is amazing. -The staff is so kind and welcoming, the waiter at my bridal shower was laughing along with us and felt like part of our tribe that day (and yes they do assign a waiter just for that room, so no need to worry about your waiter being preoccupied with the restaurant). -You do not have to spend to decorate. Unless you want balloons, the space is already designed so well that adding too much would overwhelm it. -For my bridal shower, the owner included fresh flowers for each table, I believe he does this just because he loves to. A staff member told me they always have flowers arranged at the restaurant tables as well. -Outside cakes are welcome however, the owners family member(I think his niece) makes cakes and desserts for an additional cost so no need to find another vendor or worry about desserts being delivered or put on display. She sets up the dessert display herself. -DJ's are allowed, however, we just plugged our phone into the system and played music that way. -Bonus: There is a TV in the small event room where you can hook up videos to play (for my shower they played a video from my mother in law who lives out of the country, for my sisters shower I played a slideshow of her pictures). I attached any videos and photos I had from both events we held at the space, if you're thinking about this for an event especially a bridal shower you will not be disappointed. Take a visit, have some brunch and speak to the owner or his niece, you won't regret booking this place.

Accommodate all meal request: vegan, seafood and special dietary needs. Ambiance exceptional. Staff friendly and quick with service. Food on point. All the plates were cleaned. Great portions. We were full satisfied and had a great evening . Seating inside, outside and garden. A special event was in progress when we arrived. Waiter suggested order be placed before large patty's order began to inundate kitchen. Love the buttery and specially curated decor. Handicapped accessible. Great ambiance. And sis not mind that we were having fun. Many extensive and can serve all food palates.

Amazing hidden gem!! I never expected to walk to the back of such a cute cafe and see such a beautiful scene. Along with the beautiful decor, the service and food were good, passion fruit mimosas were excellent and my overall brunch experience was super enjoyable. I'll be going back when in NY again.

Love this place. Feels like a sanctuary. Everything is crisp and pristine. The environment and ambiance engulfing and tantalizing. The food is superb and the service is paramount. Tommy the owner is family so I always manage to drop in when I visit from Orlando. It’s the most beautiful restaurant ever. If you ever have time in Brooklyn- drop in. You’re going to LOVE it

If you want a perfect place for a romantic date, look no further. Even from outside you can't miss this place due to a multiple lights and decorations, once you inside, it is almost like in your childhood feritale. They have truly devoted great deal to the decorations and details, including running spring. As for the food, we just stop by to get a dessert, but ended up to get a few appetizers as well. Crispy cornflakes chicken was okay, and warm seafood salad was just a variety of mussels, clams and shrimps in a stew. I had to order a bread to finish it and also it was okay. However, their apple pie was amazing! I would definitely give them another chance and come back for a dinner.

This is a very charming looking space. It is not a minimalist space. Lots of decor. Out back there is a very soothing indoor garden. Service is friendly and engaging. We opted for omelettes with caramelized onions & cheese. They were very delicious. Most importantly, they know how to do home fries here. They had lots of vegetables mixed in + a nice griddle top taste. I'm reluctant to say this but I judge their coffee as a bit mediocre. Not terrible, just very ordinary. This place has a chilled vibe, fun decor, attentive service & darn fine eggs.

the main highlight was definitely the vibes and design of the whole place, it was extremely cutesy garden theme. perfect for a girls day out, the food wasn’t the highlight but not bad and the servers were very nice. although the interior design is amazing, the space is kind of small since it’s mostly surrounded with midsized tables

Overzealous and gorgeous cottage-core decoration with a huge backyard space for dining in unheard of in NYC. Friendly and attentive service. Be prepared to encounter 3 different wait staff asking how everything is/do you need anything ? Not the place for introverts: I personally prefer privacy and space. There doesn't seem to be communication between them either. We asked to split the bill but that wasn't communicated to the host/waitress so we ended up getting a regular bill. Then requesting to-go boxes was a whole journey. We also got the wrong dish. But it was endearing and tolerable since they were friendly! The food was gorgeous and a tad over salted for brunch at 10am. Ordered an omelet , panini, and waffles. They came with generous side dishes. Really great french fries that came with the panini. Also, great prices for the portions and flavor

Ordered the steak. Was never told it was seasoned in teriyaki . I was very disappointed. When I expressed my disappointment, I was told that I didn’t ask if the steak was seasoned with teriyaki. As if I was supposed to have any idea that steak n eggs would be seasoned with teriyaki sauce.instead of offering me something else or apologizing, they were talking about me amongst themselves as if I wasn’t there. They asked me if I wanted to take the food home, and I said no. I didn’t want to eat it here, it looks and tastes like dog food. The owner was extremely rude on my way out.it was such a shame because the place was beautiful, and everything else I ate there was delicious.sadly I’ll never go back there because of the rude customer service .
