San Pedro Inn Brooklyn Reviews
I love everything about this place. The carne asada burrito is surprisingly great and it’s small enough where you can eat the whole thing without feeling sick. The drinks are pretty standard, but all good. Happy hour is $2 off margs (M-F 3-6). And the vibes inside are great. Sorta divey but also homey and weird. Love it!
After getting extremely HANGRY at IKEA this place save me from a self inflicted wound , we stopped in for tacos and beer and the shrimp, mushrooms, chicken , Carne Asada and Shrimp were awesome (as far as tacos go). Very fresh , and a chill vibe with some history , we got there at 4P on a Monday and it felt like the place gets packed but we were the early bird special , but well worth it.
Fantastic bar in Red Hooke Brooklyn. Awesome service by Joe and Gavin. The owner Jason is also a top bloke .Places like this are a fantastic find. Food is also great with sensational burritos and more coming out of the kitchen. Cant fault, keep up the awesome work. Loved my time here. Thank you
Food was exceptional especially for what looks like a dive bar - but seems more like it’s an amazing restaurant in a dive bar setting. Very good cocktails. Carne Asada tacos were my fav. My husband loved his chicken quesadilla.
I’m not one to usually leave reviews but this place has stuck with me as one of my favourite memories from my visit to NY. We were made to feel so welcome by the staff and the vibe was amazing. The music was absolutely top notch and the people in the bar, wow, so lovely. Such a mixture of ages and everyone was so friendly and loving to each other, it felt like such a community spot. We didn’t eat here, but had cocktails and it was honestly one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had and I don’t say that lightly. 10/10 would go again!
it took me awhile to forgive this place for not being the bait & tackle but it’s legit a great vibe dive taco bar. servers are great! mushroom tacos are so good even tho they are$7
Get the salsa!!! It was so fresh, one tomato red the other salsa verde. You could tell both were made fresh with great flavor. The tacos were all 5 stars. I personally didn't care for the tortilla chips served with the salsa they were pretty thick and greasy but they were more traditional and that is my particular taste preference more than a fault of the restaurant. Loved the spicy margarita as well.
Your favorite bar’s favorite bar. Don’t come here, you’re not cool enough. The food Menu is criminally slept on. Get the carne asada quesadilla. The live music vibes are unmatched. Rn some Tio is DJing techo from a keyboard and the band of wigged hens are taking the stage. You wouldn’t like it.
Great music, great prices, great location on the bumping street in red hook and Spencer is a kind bartender who makes a delicious whiskey sour and plays a terrific soundtrack. Soul, R'n'B, disco and the likes. Perhaps my favorite bar in NYC.
Edit: the tacos were soo good, happy hour was a blast. I’m not from here and everyone was so kind and friendly! 🫶🏻

Annie the server was awesome! Couldn’t have had a better bartender. Food was good and fair portion for the price but a bigger side of salsa would be nice.
I left wondering why all restaurants can't be this good. This place serves great dishes. We've watched staff members grow over time. Staff makes helpful suggestions with a personal touch. Service from employees was attentive and dishes were outstanding! Another visit is planned.
Such a great bar. The food is better than it has any business being. I honestly think they have the best tacos in the area. The bar itself is very cool, with all sorts of fun ephemera covering the walls. Vibes are always good and laid back. A great fit for the neighborhood.
One of the best. Cozy dive bar with really friendly and sweet bartenders, a good local/regular crowd and shockingly great Mexican food. The mushroom quesadillas are terrific!

This is the best burrito I’ve had in New York City - I love the steak burrito! Great flavors, grilled the tortilla to perfection. And some of the nicest bartenders you could hope for 😄
The San Pedro Inn is a perfect mix of delicious food and great atmosphere. This spot will fulfill all of your delicious taco desires. I also highly recommend the tostadas as well. Along with our delicious array of mushroom, carnitas, and carne asada, we also ordered some margaritas that were very tasty and not super busy. My only gripe would be that a chorizo taco was missing.

Reviewing for the food only: Been here many times and I’m really trying to love this place…but the prices hurt a little for the portions. Definitely more a bar than a restaurant and I guess it’s on van brunt so they gotta pay rent. Tacos are the solid go to here for a standard 3 for $15 price. The shrimp one might be the best around though, very juicy! However 15 bucks for a brunch breakfast burrito on the smaller side with no sides…idk just all over kind of underwhelming (see bar Bruno on Henry st instead) Service is always very friendly but on the slower side. It IS red hook so folks should chill out anyway. IF you’re just looking for a late night bar to knock back high lifes and shots, then ignore my review. Each time I head out for a late night trip to San Pedro’s I always end up going to ice bar next door instead 🤷
Maybe I’m a bit of a Mexican food snob, but the food was not the best. The queso Oaxaca was the best part about the dish, but the meat was not very flavorful. Also the cost of $6 a taco?! At least the service is nice.

I arrived there with my cousin and we ordered some food and whine. Unaware of the no outside food policy, I proceeded to eat some food that I had purchased elsewhere. Once again, UNAWARE of the policy because it isn’t posted anywhere in the restaurant. ANNIE the waitress delivered the policy to me in the most nasty, disrespectful, and raunchy way possible. I understand that that’s the policy of the restaurant HOWEVER as a waitress at an establishment, your delivery and tone speaks volumes and I did not appreciate the way that I was spoken to. She needs to work on her attitude as well as her delivery with her customers.
We ordered three tacos. 2 Al pastor and one shrimp. The shrimp was ok and el pastor was tough and overcooked. We eat tacos a lot so we know what it should taste like. The guy who served us had a horrible attitude, never checked in. When there was a price question as we were promossed a happy hour special, he ripped the pay machine out of my hand and walked away. While the problem was resolved by the overappologetic lady, the guy kept mumbling something angry in Spanish while looking at me. We've been there before and this was second and last time. Not only food is not good, the service was downright terrible. Go elsewhere.
