Petite Crevette Brooklyn Reviews
Excellent seafood, service, & atmosphere. I can not wait to go back. Cozy and calm atmosphere. BYOB but also have a wine list now. Love this neighborhood gem.
This place is a hidden gem and a great option for anyone looking for a great date night spot with delicious seafood. It’s small and cozy, and the owner personally greeted us at the door, which immediately makes the experience feel special. Add in the fact that it’s BYOB with just a $10 uncorking fee, and it’s hard to beat. The crab and corn chowder was outstanding and one of the best soups we’ve had in a long time. The salmon and sea bass were both great dishes. Needless to say we found a new favorite spot!
I am transported to the south of France here and I’ve never even been there. This place is so lovely, the food is incredible. I loved every moment we were here. Don’t hesitate, just come. And bring wine. You won’t regret it! There was no wait on a Saturday night, we just walked in. I know I’ll be back.
The food here is incredible. It's a small restaurant but the food and service are absolutely fantastic. You can also bring your own alcohol which is fantastic too!
We were in the neighborhood, and a friend recommended Petite Crevette for dinner. We absolutely devoured the bread with olive oil they brought to the table. We ordered the shrimp po boy, the shrimp provencal, and the beef burger. Even ordered more bread to sop up the extra sauce from the shrimp provencal. Our plates were clean by the end. Would highly recommend if you're in the area!
This place was amazing. The service was beyond excellent and so was the food. From the fish to the steak everything was great. My family left feeling full but not weighed down. Can’t wait to visit NY to eat here again!
Our family is a fan of Neil's restaurant. He cares very much that you have a superb experience. The staff is courteous and down-to-earth and extremely smart about their offerings. The price is affordable for us. Bring your own wine or beer: no corkage fee! We love the atmosphere. A gem in Carroll Gardens. Thank you, Neil!
Always eat everything way too quickly here because it's delicious. We've eaten here 4 times in a year and it's always amazing always fresh and I'm always impressed by the service and quality. Not sure what other people are talking about with regards to slow service. You have the option of tipping what you want to by clicking the custom option below the choices for tipping less than 20% if you're bothered by it. This place actually deserves it the 20%. Had a meal for 2 including dessert for $100 without tip, for this quality I'd easily have to spend double in Manhattan to get this quality without tip. If you haven't been here and love great fish it's a must go. Pro tip order key lime pie for dessert.
This is a little gem. Tucked away in Brooklyn is the "little shrimp" serving beautifully cooked food at sensible prices. Gladys dished up the best meal we have had in New York. It's a cozy little restaurant with a big hearted welcome serving up some seriously well cooked fish. You won't be disappointed.
Oh my goodness this was the best meal of our entire trip. I just googled seafood places close to where we were staying and this was one of them and I'm glad we settled on it. The food was beyond amazing. This is the first time we ordered separate entrée and tasted each others and then when we finished we ordered an entire new entrée because we wanted more. The scallops were cooked perfectly and so was the sea bass. The mashed potatoes were rich and creamy. The vegetables were crisp and flavorful. Each sauce that accompanied the entrée was perfectly paired. The chowder was velvety smooth and had a wonderful amount of crab. Our server was so sweet and attentive she made us feel like family as we talked about the city and our backgrounds. We will totally be back next time we visit.
We made a last-minute Valentine's Day reservation at a charming, boutique-style restaurant with a lovely, intimate atmosphere. It's a BYOB establishment, but a nearby wine store offered excellent pairing suggestions. We enjoyed delicious mussels, sea bass, and brazino dishes. I certainly plan to return.
I love this spot but we unfortunately will have to stop going as every time we've gone with lactose intolerant friends recently, the server says there's no dairy and then immediately serves us butter. The amount of stomach aches this has caused is becoming problematic. Other servers at Petite Crevette have been extremely accommodating and subbed dairy products in the past, so we're aware that this is not an impossible ask, just requires more work which is no longer being accommodated.
I don’t eat fish and seafood and got stuck with a merely ok burger. Was met with eye rolling when I tried for a slice of raw onion. Like it was my fault they didn’t have the steak. But I didn’t want to ruin things for my companions. They are keenly aware of this of course. Lousy ambiance and creepy lighting. And the owner just pretends to be French lol
The food is amazing … BUT … (1) service is inconsistent: it took 20 min after finishing our entree - and having cleared the table -before being asked if we wanted dessert. (2) they force you to tip on the taxes, not the cost of the meal. The options are 20%, 25%, 30% or no tip. There is no option for “custom tip”. My pre-tax bill was ~$82, with tax $96. The “20%” tip amount was 20% of 96, which is unethical particularly when there is no option to adjust it.
