Great service and a nice atmosphere. The hanger steak was small for $36, but tasted great.

I found this place on court street because all the windows and doors were open and it made me feel really safe. I was able to walk in without a reservation early in the evening and sat at the bar. The bar tender recommended a really good cocktail to start (a little sweet but not too much), and then I got the fried pizza and salmon. I could have gotten two of both they were so good. Highly recommend!

My husband and I LOVE this place! We go here for all of our special occasions and love taking family and friends here when they visit. The food is some of the best Italian food we’ve had in the city, the dessert is amazing, the atmosphere is cozy and the service is excellent! We happened to get Samuele as our server every time we dine here, and he has always been so friendly. Thank you for a great experience!

Sociale is a great place for brunch/dinner/drinks. Prices are fair and food is delicious. They have a variety of options to please everyone. I got the Hanger Steak and can recommend. The complimentary table bread is fantabulous as well.

This place is a very cute date spot w good service and staff! My partner and I had the Bufala fritta appetizer, I enjoyed the papate cipolla pizza, they had the spaghetti carbonara. We were well taken care of by staff, and our food was fresh and delicious. We will be coming back

I’ve eaten several meals here, with family, friends, leisurely at the bar with my wife, and hosted a meal delicious dinner party in their cellar (they made a vegan menu for one of my guests, even printing her own menu like the other guests). One of my neighborhood favorites. The food and drinks are lovely but it is the warm vibe that stands out.

I adore Sociale! I've been going here with my family for years (when it was on Henry St.). Honestly there is nothing on the menu that I haven't loved! In fact, we're going there tonight! A favorite is the octopus app. Omg! The cocktails menu is also excellent as is the wine list.

What a great spot. I come here often for either dinner and drinks, or an elevated weekday lunch. The pasta and cocktails are excellent. Staff is friendly and helpful and the ambience is cool without going overboard.

Sociale is our favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. ALL of the staff are so kind and attentive, especially to my toddler children and come bounding out of the restaurant to say hello as we pass. Francesco, the manager, leads the team in having a positive, welcoming and professional attitude. The food is perfectly portioned, perfectly seasoned and served with a smile. We love it!

This place is exceptionally good. Whenever I bring friends here, no matter how far away in Brooklyn they live, they always want to come back again and again. The Pizza Fritta - pizza with fried dough - is so good it makes you wonder why all pizza dough is not fried?! The Buratta is the best I've ever had. They have a range of cocktails and they change them up regularly - I usually get whatever they're making with Mezcal and it's perfection. The service is great! The atmosphere is cozy, great for date night, dinner with friends, small birthday, etc. This place is the best.

I loved my experience at Sociale! The atmosphere was delightful and the food was amazing. We started with the fresca salad, fried mozzarella and crispy beans. They were tasty but the beans were delish! We shared the carbonara, spaghetti and lasagne, all of which were delicious, but thought the lasagne was top notch! The service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant and you should go immediately!

The honey and nduja sausage pie is one of the best combinations I’ve ever tasted in a pizza. I am embarrassed to say that I dream about it! Lol. The drinks are awesome and the rest of the menu is also top-notch. We will usually get the pizza as an appetizer along with some small plates, and then dive in for a good entrée.

Really wonderful restaurant full of wonderful people. The pasta is homemade and spectacular. The pizza is also worth it. Neighborhood has many great pizza places but don’t sleep on Sociale. They fry it like they do in Italy and it is different from just about every other place. Oh! And their spicy margarita is very very very good!

Food was delicious but I was mainly impressed by the quality of service I received! My glass of water was never empty, my table was cleared quickly and everything arrived promptly! 10/10 experience.

Hands down the best dinning experience around. I have been there many times and I have never been disappointed. You can tell every dish is prepared with love and pride. The atmosphere is inviting and cool. If you go once, you will definitely be back for more.

Sociale is a fabulously delicious restaurant. The look & feel of the restaurant is as cool & stylish as the food tastes great. Although I’d selfishly love to gate keep them forever they truly cannot be missed. When (not IF) you go please do yourself the favor of ordering the Brussel sprouts, they’re THE BEST IN NYC. The lasagna, meat loaf burger and chicken are also devine.

Had my company holiday dinner tonight and we were wowed. Every stage of the meal, perfect. This was light and modern Italian cuisine, yet flavorful and unpretentious. The atmosphere, though, really makes the evening because it’s cozy yet feels spacious unlike many NYC restaurants. The staff feels genuine and nice, no pressure to turn over their table even though it’s Saturday night, yet also not hard to reach if you have any need. I’m so glad I brought my team here, they just made 5 loyal customers who have an office down the block!

We attempted to go to a place that had a line wrapped around the corner, so we dipped and walked into Sociale. We were seated right away. The Pizza !!!! is on a type of crush so light and crispy. Absolutely delish. Also had the fried Brussels sprouts and a spicy margarita. Such a delicious find.

Sociale is a neighborhood gem! The service is perfect and the food is consistently delicious. And since they are open for lunch, it’s a very reliable place for when parents visit. The Italian gin and tonic is perfect and the Sociale Spaghetti can’t be beat.

Hands down my favorite place in the neighborhood. Their pasta can’t be beat anywhere in the city. Fun vibe. Good service. Amazing yet reasonable wine list. Absolutely LOVE it. The owners are pretty cool too. GO

My family and I don’t often visit the same restaurants over and over, but sociale has been the exception. The staff and the owners are lovely. The atmosphere is quaint and attractive. The street is pretty quiet. And the food is delicious. They make such good pasta!!! And everything else. Stop by when you are in the area.

A dim, cozy restaurant to enjoy great food. The servers are very good, as are the drinks and food, but it's not a quick spot to grab a bite. It was roughly 1:00-1:15 before entrees came out but the food was delicious and worth the wait with a cocktail.

Went with friends and shared, which is always the best. The covered patio was delightful (it was a great night to eat outside), the drinks were tasty, and the service was pleasant and speedy. I very much enjoyed the costatine (short ribs) starter, meatloaf burger and fried Brussels sprouts (though the last was a bit underdone). A great addition to the neighborhood.

Sociale is a great all-around spot in the neighborhood. It has a large menu with quality cocktails. What prompted me to come write this review was the Spaghetti Carbonara and margarita picante. Quality pasta with great flavor. Finding a great carbonara is hard, and i highly recommend this one.

This place was perfect for a Post Valentine's day dinner. The atmosphere was amazing, maybe a little too dark. The food was *chef's kiss*. We got the short ribs and fried mozzarella as starters, lasagna and pumpkin pasta dishes for our entree. The servers were very attentive and delightful. We ended the night with a dessert that was not heavy but light and flavourful.

Sociale, located in Brooklyn, NY, is a must-visit restaurant that offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere. As soon as we arrived, Meghan and her husband Francesco greeted us at the front door, making us feel at home. The decor is unique, with lots of live plants and low lighting that adds to the cozy ambiance. We started with cocktails, and they were made to perfection. The wine selection, featuring Italian wines, was impressive and paired perfectly with the Italian cuisine. Francesco's Italian heritage is evident in the delicious food that the chef prepares. The spaghetti and meatballs were standout dishes, with the spaghetti having a fresh basil taste that was heavenly. The patate cipolla flatbread was also excellent, with little globs of ricotta that were like little clouds of joy. The server was attentive and polite, adding to the overall experience. The restaurant seemed to have many neighborhood clientele, which is always a good sign that the food is excellent. Overall, Sociale is a fantastic restaurant that provides an enjoyable dining experience. Whether you're a local or a tourist, it's a must-visit restaurant in Manhattan. It was only a short subway ride away from our hotel in Brooklyn. The atmosphere, drinks, food, and service all come together to create a memorable dining experience. Congratulations to Meghan, Francesco, and their team for creating such an amazing restaurant!

Best lasagne I’ve ever had. Just look at it. It’s a beaut. Creamy, smooth, and rich, with the bolognese almost a paste, in three kinds of sauce. Very relaxed vibe late at night, with excellent service. Great spot for an upscale date.

Visiting NY for us includes a visit to Brooklyn to have a cozy night with delicious and authentic italian food. The pizza is delicious with a nice crisp crust and the pasta a perfect al dente, nice and hot served under silver plate covers. The drinks, especially the margarita picante, are delicious. Child friendly and still quiet ambience. We left happy and satisfied!

Really nice italian restaurant! Get the Sato Project cocktail (piña colada on steroids), get some oysters because they are beautiful here (clean presentation, no debris, muscle is precut, nice spicy cocktail sauce involving sriracha and tabasco) try the meatball parm sandwich (slimmed down version of a deli classic), and sit outside in the covered seating as its quite nice. The service was really quite good, we were pleasantly surprised by this spot overall, we will be coming back for sure.

I have been here maybe 50 times and it’s consistently fabulous every time. The food, the service and the atmosphere are always truly delightful here. It’s one of the best restaurants in this area. You feel cared for and transported to an oasis, time stops and you focus on your meal. You can’t go wrong with anything you order but the burrata, the meatballs, the spaghetti and the Brussels are must haves. The bourbon gelato might be made fresh onsite because its texture tastes like it’s right from Italy.

I came here with a group of 8 and the staff and owner went above and beyond to make sure our meal was perfect. I ordered the lamb shank and it was delicious with the fresh gnocchi. I also got to try a bite of the meatloaf burger and hope to come back for a full one sometime!

Sociale offers an outstanding dining experience, with its Margherita pizza being one of the best I’ve had. The fried Brussels sprouts were absolutely incredible—the sauce was creamy and flavorful, making every bite a delight. Our pasta dishes were also excellent, but the Brussels sprouts and pizza truly stood out as favorites. The service was fast and attentive, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable meal. Highly recommend this spot for a delicious and well-executed meal!

Chef's kisses for this beautiful restaurant! From the moment that we walked in we felt like family. This is what quality food is about. The smells, the sounds and the atmosphere is so beautiful. Trust me when I say you will not be disappointed. These meals are prepared with the utmost care. The lamb was out of this world. They do offer gluten free options. Make sure that you ask the waiter. My favorite dessert is the lemon one. I get it every time we go. They can make this gluten free as well. The prices are great for the quality and amount of food that you get. They spare no expense with making sure that you are fed well. The wine pairings are perfect! and the cocktails are great as well. Sociale also offers a private dining space if you want to host a private party.

We had dinner at Sociale Celler and really enjoyed the experience. The basement private room is small but very cozy, comfortably fitting around 20–30 people, and being next to the wine cellar creates a warm, intimate atmosphere that works well for a group dinner. Starters were served family-style. The Napoli-style Pizza Fritta was a highlight—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside—and the meatballs were flavorful and well balanced. For the pasta course, I chose the Carbonara, which was rich, well executed, and made with very fresh ingredients. The Branzino was extremely fresh and simply prepared, allowing the quality of the fish to shine. Desserts were shared and included the Tortino al Cioccolato, a classic Tiramisu, and the Meyer Lemon Catalana, which was bright and refreshing. The family-style setup for the desserts worked well overall; however, slightly larger portions or individual servings could make it even better, given the no double dipping rule. Overall, Sociale Celler offers a cozy setting with thoughtfully prepared food and a relaxed, enjoyable dining experience, especially well suited for group dinners and private events.

Dinner here was outstanding. They have very good cocktails. Their service is excellent. And we really like the atmosphere; the abundance of leafy green plants is refreshing. We really enjoyed their pizzas, with their super crispy but light crusts and fresh ingredients.

I've been here a bunch of times. Food is always really solid. Great place for breakfast or lunch during the week. Pastas and flat breads are delicious. The eggplant dish served in a hot skillet is amazing. Service is quick and friendly. Probably my favorite lunch spot now in the area.

Nice ambience, not extraordinary. Food was very good but not excellent. Had spaghetti carbonara and that was excellent. Fried brussel sprouts and caprese salad for appetizers, very good. Would definitely go again. Can't remember name of dessert but lemon with angel cake, delicious and refreshing!

This is such a fantastic local family-owned restaurant. The ambience is on point and the staff is particularly friendly and hospitable. We started with cocktails, which are perfectly crafted at the bar. For appetizer we ordered in the bufala frita and calamari which was fantastic. Then for entrees we had the Sociale spaghetti and ‘nuda in Puglia pizza. Keep in mind the pizza is a different crust that is very thin fried pizza (pizza fritti) but it is special. Go in the summertime and enjoy the outdoor seating or in the colder months and the cozy interior! 🍕🍝

T
Tony Kauffmann

The food was delicious and the staff really nice most of the time, except at the end when they brought us our coats before we asked for them while we were still finishing our drinks. Basically felt like "okay you paid a minute ago, so gtfo". And the bread apetizer was laughably small for $3 per person, the bread roll was the size of a golf ball. Generally a great restaurant though, nice decor

R
Richard Curzi

Food was excellent. We had the roast chicken and the salmon. Both top notch. Only knock was the slow service which wouldn't have been so bad if it weren't so cold on the sidewalk tables.

Love coming here before or after a movie. Owners and staff are hospitality pros! Menu is quite large and there's something for everyone, even the pickiest of kids. Open-kitchen is a nice touch for ambience as well as the many plants that liven up the otherwise very dark interior. That's the only thing we'd change - it still has remnants of the biergarten from before! Also wish the bread was warmed and more tender. Highly recommend this no-frills, cozy corner Italian spot in Cobble Hill!

T

it’s good! is it amazing? it isn’t. is it solid? yes. in a neighborhood where there are a plethora of world class italian it doesn’t necessarily stack up, but items are priced well and well executed.

Trying them for brunch since we loved their dinners. There’s some of the usual favorites to brunch with and we started with a tasty (albeit small) Bloody Mary. Kids had French toast and we had their version of eggs Benedict with lox. We all enjoyed our food but the baguette under our poached eggs was a bit tougher than expected. Fries were a standout (but as an extra side they’ll cost you 9 large!) Overall very good but not blown away considering the many options in the hood. Will stick with their excellent dinner selections.

R
Rob Dormish

A terrific local spot for a reliably good meal. The menu is pretty large, and there's usually a good buzz in the place. Really good pasta and entrees, though nothing will blow you away. Chicken and the salmon are two of my favorites. Cocktails are well crafted as well! The styling and decor add to the experience, and in the summer, with the windows open, it becomes a great indoor / outdoor venue. Come for: A solid neighborhood meal where you can almost always get a seat. Watch out: In the summer, it can get a little stuffy if the windows are open

D

Cute neighborhood spot for some casual Italian food. Pizza is unique in that the crust is made of a fried crispy dough. My favorite item was the dessert with the salted caramel ice cream and warm chocolate cake.

Local Italian spot in cobble hill for interesting pizzas, pastas, sandwiches and drinks. Pros: Nice outdoor space, good drink menu (plenty of local beers), lots of different options to eat Cons: The pizza fritta is good if you know exactly what to expect, but it’s more like a funnel cake with sauce/cheese on top than it is a pizza

M

A wonderful establishment with great food and reasonable prices. It was also very nice to be greeted with beautiful smiles from the staff, as well as their swift service. I had tiramisu for the first time here ! Thank you so much for the delicious food and warm ambience. Ig : @ferreromonae

Sociale is a really cute corner spot on Court St in Brooklyn that has a great vibe and decor. I’ve only been for brunch and it was a little u underwhelming, but I would go back to try their dinner food. I usually see people there for drinks in the afternoon/evening but the menu sounds great. For brunch the oysters were good but only came with a mignonette sauce— no cocktail sauce or horseradish or crackers, all of which I would have liked. The steak and eggs was okay; I was excited about the red wine hollandaise but it didn’t have a great or deep flavor. Overall since it bills itself as an Italian restaurant and I didn’t have anything Italian there, I will be back to try more food.

Sociale is one of those neighborhood gems I keep coming back to—and for good reason. The service? Always warm and welcoming. The vibe? Relaxed but polished. And the food? Let’s just say if fried pizza is wrong, I don’t want to be right. The fried pizzas are the MVP here—crispy, pillowy, and topped with just the right amount of salty prosciutto and peppery arugula to make you question every other pizza you've ever loved. I’ve been here many times over the past few years, and it’s consistently solid. Bonus points for being open on Mondays (a rare gift in Carroll Gardens when the rest of the block goes dark). Drinks are smooth and strong—the margaritas are excellent—but $18 for one on a Monday? No happy hour, no Cinco de Mayo special? That’s the only thing keeping this from five stars. My wallet needed a shot of tequila after that. Still, Sociale’s charm, quality, and service make it easy to overlook the price tag now and then. Just maybe toss us a lime-salt-rimmed bone next time?

The food is amazing. The pasta is just amazingg!!! Also I loved the pannacota. I loved the ambience and very clean. The service is not that good, the server is quite rude when my card can not read by the EDC, but actually it is because my card doesn’t have chip so need to be inserted.

Nice atmosphere and great menu. The wait staff was friendly and we really enjoyed our meals. The short rib appetizer was especially delicious. We had the lasagna and the rabbit tagliatelle. Everything was superb. My only (small) complaint is that the portions were a bit small, but overall the experience was nice and we'll definitely be back.

Calamari was delicious and not too fried, the Eggplant was a small portion but good. Branzino was delectable. I want to go get another bite. The two cocktails were delicious. My Piccante Margarita was perfectly spicy. The Sato Project was fresh and the right amount of sweet.

Love this spot, especially when the weather is nice enough to sit outside (it gets PACKED though, so make a reservation!) Recommended: - Meatballs - Carbonara - Farfalle Di Mare - Their welcome bread, omgggg - Cocktails (wonderful and beautifully presented) Maybe Skip: - Pizza Fritta (I love fried things, and especially love fried panzerottis, but wasn't in love with their fried pizza here, but just my opinion!) Great spot for dates or to catch up with friends. Service is always fantastic.

Wonderful space and vibe, but the food was really disappointing. My carbonara was a single solid lump of sauce and pasta, which would keep its shape if lifted off the plate.

Expensive, small portions, adequate food. Great service and ambiance though! Also their dessert was phenomenal.

The staff is amazing, they speak many languages! The food is good but the quantity is quite small for the value of money, it's a shame.

A nice intimate spot. I came for the wine and cocktails. Small selection of both, and they use regular ice for the cocktails which is a bit of a bummer (as opposed to the nice big cubes). But the drink itself was good and the service quick and friendly. Food looks great but didn't try it this trip.

Love the food and the team tries hard but understaffed. Also so cold we kept jackets on. Wonder if heating bill was paid. Also host is a likable but missed the concept on service. We waited 30mins for soup and he never came back to say are you okay now. So wish they improve as they have so much potential.

e

Burrata salad was amazing, tasty food and drinks all around. Was surprised that the hostess did not ask for vaccination status and did not wear a mask. Maybe because we are outside? Also waiters were not masked.. maybe this is fine but was a little off-putting for me. Food was excellent though.

C

Food was just ok. The service was good but slow, and the guy at the front was awkward and borderline rude. When we walked in, he looked at us with a cold look and just said, "Reservation??" no hello or welcome. We were seated and then waited for a long time before the same man came over and asked "have you been waited on?" We said no, he proceeded to take our drink order, not our food order, and then another waiter took over to bring us our drinks and our food. They brought out 3 out of 4 of our main dishes, and then the same man from the front suddenly reappeared and asked us what we needed, we said our last dish which we could see waiting by the kitchen, we told him what the dish was, he nodded and said OK, he then proceeded to walk over to the dish, looked at it, and then walked away. He did not bring it over. It was a very weird experience. Food was nothing to write home about.

The good: beautiful location, friendly service, great cocktails and wine options. Appetizers were delicious. The bad: everything else... staff was apologetic about issues with ordering, service was insanely slow. Mains were quite bland (food was over-cooked and lacked the flavor/texture vibrancy we found on the appetizers). Desserts were correctly executed, but forgettable. The espresso was sour- a disappointment, as I consider bad coffee especially unforgivable in an Italian restaurant. A note about the service: I actually quite like a hands-off approach to service and am usually irritated by overly pushy servers that bring you the check before you even got a chance to consider dessert for “whenever you’re ready!”. Our interactions with our waitress were fine, and her intrusions were all justified. However, spending almost 3 hours at dinner was not in our plans- every course was overly drawn out and we had to wait several minutes for our food. By comparison, this type of approach would have been absolutely fine and desirable had the reason of our visit been to have some drinks and catch up with friends. I think overall Sociale would benefit from shifting to a small plates menu (as supporting actors to their very strong beverage offering) rather than presenting itself as a full restaurant. Our experience here with expectations for a sit-down dinner was very poor (I was torn between a 2- and a 3-star review, frankly I feel like 2 stars is better deserved) but had we come in for drinks and a bite I would probably have a different opinion- perhaps even 4 stars! I don’t think we’ll be returning which is a shame, but hope Sociale can make some improvements to their value proposition to better serve the neighborhood and thrive as a business.

Nice place on court street. Best thing on the menu was the Margarita Piccante. Could have drank them one after another so tasty and spicy. It's Italian food and I'm picky so it's tough to get a 5 star rating from me on Italian food.

Nice atmosphere with outdoor seating. The omelette I had there was not great and the sandwich my friend had also was very average.

Very nice place, beautifully done. Food is good from what I can tell after having had lunch twice, but there are definitely some issues, hopefully to be resolved soon: Very slow service. Not everyone going there for lunch is planning on staying for 2 hours and to get drunk! Some people have to go back to work, this restaurant should consider that, otherwise they are going to lose a lot of customers. Also a few mix-ups with the orders (got IPA when I ordered Pilsener) and an appetizer was served (after a long wait) almost simultaneously with the main course.

Lovely atmosphere and good service. The waiter was very present and regularly checked in with me. All the food was good, and I really liked the Meyer lemon catalana that the waiter recommended. The goat was a bit dry.

I really want to give this place four stars, but after waiting nearly forty minutes for paillard di pollo and broccoli rabe, I’m not feeling generous. Counting myself and my dining companion there were approximately twenty customers dining here on an unseasonably cool summer afternoon. Our cordial waiter greeted us immediately and took our drink orders. So far, so good. When he brought our drinks to the table he took our food order. Still good. Then, we waited... and waited... and waited. I began to wonders whether there was one person in the kitchen prepping all of these meals. “How does chicken and veggies take this long?” “Gee, a complimentary drink or a free order of their $3 per person bread would be nice.” “That staffer, who’s sitting around and chatting, in fluent Italian with other guests, surely could do something to expedite this excruciating experience.” As I got up to pay for our drinks and cancel the lunch order, out comes our food from the downstairs kitchen. Was the food good? Extremely. Was it worth $39 plus tax and gratuity? Possibly, but it doesn’t feel like it today. Would I dine there again? Yeah... when time is not an issue.

A great new addition to the neighborhood. The owners are lovely and the service is impeccable. They really stay on top of their game. We've been twice now. The salad Fresca is very nice with salty fresh mozzarella. The oysters were fresh and briny. The Spanish octopus lacked anything exciting but was ok. The spaghetti Sociale is very good with homemade noodles. The steak was also very good. The bronzino was good not great. The short ribs app that my friend had as an entree was very good. Now the disappointing: please avoid the 'pizza' at all costs. It is a soupy, mushy mess. (as you can see from my picture) The crust is like a failed attempt at a Bisquick crust made by someone who has never tasted pizza in the midwest. I have no idea what they are trying to go for here. There is no excuse for inedible pizza in nyc. I can't stress enough how bad it is. I saw kids not even eating it. They should take it off the menu or at least buy real pizza dough right across the street at Caputos. We will go back for drinks, they have a lovely bar, and as I mentioned, the people are very nice. They could just dial it up a notch and my god do something about that pizza.

Are you kidding me? I mean the food is delicious but I just paid $22 for a half and half soup! Except these are more 1/4 size! This soup will be 3 spoonfuls and done! Outrageous

I usually don’t like to give bad ratings. I could be in a mood, the chef could be having a bad day, maybe I ordered the wrong dish, or it’s the end of the day; you know could be many reasons. But I’m going to start giving more ratings, sorry it starts with y’all. Bland, overcooked seafood farfalle. Complimentary bread was horrible, probably had to pay extra for the good bread. Got the mozzarella sticks for appetizer (and yes I mean the fried burrata), it was ok. Chicken dish was good though!

Great atmosphere inside and out. Service was ok, info about the "pizza" was incorrect and they didn't care that the 5oz of Bloody Mary we got was devoid of alcohol (because it's 50% ice in the thinnest glass I've ever seen). "Pizza" is a deep fried flat bread with a little cheese a topping, about 35% oil. The eggs Benedict were overcooked and NOT runny. The brussel sprouts tasted like pure deep fried oil, i was unable to discern any flavor. Lunch was $71. Go anywhere else for food. Might be a nice place to go on a drinks date.

2 stars for food and 3 for ambiance. It's not that the food is bad but it's forgettable. Flavor was lacking. I'd also stay away from the dishes that have mixed seafood like the fried appetizer and pasta. In both cases there was very little seafood (more eggplant and zucchini in appetizer and the pasta was mostly pasta). And the seafood mix was the same and shell-less in the pasta (which makes me think the seafood isn't fresh, on top of that the pasta dish had no seafood flavor like when you use seafood). I've tried it twice now since I wanted to like it so much more. Service is good. Sadly I don't think I'd return and prefer Noodle Pudding a few stores down

I had dinner there, and I like the food. It was tasty. However, the atmosphere was very very noisy. Really, I barely could hear what the waiter was saying! Also, the place was so dark. I feel relieved after I finished and left. In addition to that, it was too expensive with small portions, and the services were not that good compared to high percentage of service fee.

Alright! So this is where we decided to go for Valentine’s Day and because I don’t want to start my review just negative, let’s begin with the positives: - the vibe inside is great for a date night of any kind - the staff was very nice and kind - the eggplant Parmesan was stellar, though small as it’s only available as a starter - one of the best espresso martinis I’ve ever had Ok so let’s move on to the negatives: - save for the eggplant parm the food was awful. We ordered 4 different food items (oysters, focaccia (Bianca), eggplant parm, and their spinach tagliatelle scallop special) - the oysters had a couple of truly terrible tasting ones in there and the mignonette was essentially just either balsamic or malt vinegar - the focaccia was terrible. $5 for the picture attached to this review is hilarious - the spinach tagliatelle was really rough. So so so bland, the scallops were overcooked and very rubbery, and there was truly just no real taste to the dish - some of the slowest service I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Though the staff was very nice, it took 15 minutes to get bread, and later 15-20 minutes to get a drink - I ordered a whiskey ginger and the ginger ale was fully, fully flat with no acknowledgment as to such I don’t think I’d recommend or return, which is a shame because this restaurant could be great if some things changed.

Been here a few times since it opened. Atmosphere has always been nice, but the food quality wile very good at the beginning has declined significantly. Just went there this past weekend and my biggest issue was the service. Even if we were ordering plenty of food and quite a few bottles of wine, we felt like we were rushed and not welcomed. The staff wanted to go home and close, even if this was Saturday night at 10.30/11pm when we got the check. This is not cool. Will never bring my business here again.

After reading some rave reviews I decided to check this place out. I ordered a drink but the food came first - bread and meatballs, both rather bland and unremarkable. The Paloma came next, and they make a decent cocktail. Restaurants at this price point should be crafting memorable experiences. This was not one of them.

Came here for dinner and it was the biggest mistake ever. Waiter screwed up the order. Waited well over an hour for our meatball appetizer that was not ordered and that the entree pizza was instead. Meatballs were ok and nothing to write home about. Finally we wound up getting cold food that was inedible. Despite asking to see a manager no one ever came. Do your self a favor and go to Marco Polo and enjoy your meal. If I could rate zero stars I would.

Christmas Eve spontaneous dinner was very disappointing! First time at this spot. Everything was fine until the bill, the waiter never explained that one dish on the menu we ordered had two choices as appetizers or as main course, the dish we ordered from menu was $18, we received the bill almost double that $32, the staffer argued with us instead of apologizing and adjusting the bill, after adjusting the bill the waiter threw it on our table, another staffer sat next to me asking where I was from and how long I was in the country. Then called me a Grinch and to calm things down they gave us a piece of dessert and the staffer tried to feed me. Completely unprofessional!!!!!! This place seems to be a money hungry place instead of catering to a client by serving good food and great service! Will not come back or recommend this place! Very dissatisfied customer!

Slow service. Restaurant was packed, so we expected everything to be great. Both dishes were not good: pasta desperately needed salt and the lobster risotto was inedible. They did refund us but said something passive-aggressive to my boyfriend on the way out.

Was so excited to try this spot, and was extremely disappointment. Honestly, disgusted is a better word. The pizza came fully uncut, the drinks were foul, oysters were not cut from the muscle, but the kicker was the sand crab that I found in an oyster (legs still kicking). On top of all of this, nothing was comped. I can confidently say that I will not be going back.

Beautiful restaurant but it’s really too bad when you let your servers make decisions when to close. We had a dinner with 5 people, spend about $650 and we were being rushed out to close out at 11 pm.. and it was Saturday night!! They just wanted to go home. Seems that the owners are not around to see what’s happening to their restaurant. I work in the industry and it’s really sad to see.

Had the lobster risotto special and it was far from special. Easily one of the worst meals i’ve had. The waiter was passive aggressive when I politely said that I didn’t enjoy my meal. It was removed from the bill but the whole situation was “ick”. Could have been an off night, but it was just simply not good. Watery, under seasoned, and not good quality lobster.
