Sub Hub Brooklyn Reviews
Not much to say that hasn’t already been said. Fresh ingredients, great bread and deli meats. It’s just a shame I live so far!
Super kind workers, got to chill outside and the guy gave us free add-ons (chips and candy) overall awesome place.
Delicious sandwich! Great deli selection & proportions. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Will be a new go-to for us in the neighborhood!
Great subs, highly customizable and very affordable. The owner is a super nice guy. Overall a great neighborhood spot.
Absolutely smashing sandwiches served up from tight quarters by unbelievably friendly people. I can’t believe I hadn’t stopped in here earlier. I will be back again and again. They make every sandwich to order, asking you a few questions and taking notes as they go. It’s standing room only while you wait a few minutes for them to make it fresh. The sandwich was utterly delicious, absolutely what I’ve been craving. Miles ahead of a standard bodega sandwich and lightyears ahead of any chain sub shop.
One of the nicest, most critical sandwich spots in the neighborhood. Wonderful energy from the owner and staff that will ensure you leave with exactly the sandwich that will make your day. We don't go here enough
This little neighborhood place is the absolute best. Everyone there is super friendly and the owner likely remembers your name. Sandwiches are the best in the area. Also ~$12 for a big sandwich and bag of chips is about as good a deal you'll get anywhere nearby nowadays. A lunch staple multiple times a week. Love them
best sandwich shop in nyc. nicest crew of ppl working there! nicest owner! I come here at least twice a week and I've never had anything less than a perfect sandwich. just so consistently impressive and great!
What a lovely sandwich shop! There isn’t much seating but it’s a great spot to grab a sandwich to go. All sandwiches are made to order so there may be a wait. You can customize your order or choose a sandwich off the menu. Either way you can’t go wrong. I got the Italian combo with the sesame hero. It was delicious. Highly recommend!
Great sandwich place at very reasonable prices. Warm welcome. Tried today for the first time can't believe I had not discovered this place before.
This place is so good. The service is fast and friendly. They give you a little menu card to fill out (I love this) so you can build a custom sandwich if you want. The sandwich is so good and leaves nothing to be desired. The best part is the bread which I’m assuming they make in house. The seeded hero is covered in sesame seeds top and bottom. Such a nice touch. Anyway…if you like great sandwiches you should go here now.
Got a sausage egg and cheese here. Extremely well priced, high quality, and the staff are very kind! Looking forward to going back and trying a lunch sandwich
Absolute favorite neighborhood spot for sandwiches! Delicious, great prices, and really good quality ingredients. Everyone who works here is so friendly and caring too!
One of the best sandwich shops in Park Slope! If I could eat here every day, I absolutely would. The food is consistently delicious, and the owner is truly one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. Couldn’t recommend this place more highly!
Perhaps the best first-time service I've ever had at a place that serves sandwiches, and I've lived in Brooklyn since the 90s. The subs themselves are solid, not gonna blow your mind or anything but definitely the best in the area. The owner and workers there are all super friendly and welcoming, which is rare in nyc but I guess par for course in this family friendly area (maybe too much so, doesn't even feel like Brooklyn). The ambiance is immaculate. Great place for kids and adults alike. Again, food ain't anything to write home about, but you'll never get let down from a sandwich from Sub Hub. Just wish their hours were better but if that's the price you gotta pay for excellent service I'm all for it!
Wanted to try this place. Worked a 12 hour shift the day before and was really craving an amazing Italian sub to eat while i watched tv and absolutely rotted on my couch to recover. This was the only place that i could find that had banana peppers which is crucial for an italian sub. If you don’t do banana peppers im sorry but you’re doing it wrong. As soon as i walked in, the vibes were excellent. Price point was great especially for what you get, subs are huge and it comes with chips and i got a black cherry soda. I love that they have these cards you fill out, it honestly makes it so much easier especially when you get a lot of toppings like i do. It was absolutely delicious. I’m not even supposed to eat gluten and dairy but when i need to have a cheat day this place is on my list. So good. Will be coming back. And the people working are super kind.
Finally got the chance to stop in for a sandwich. Nothing disappointing here. The attention to detail on every sandwich Shows it and tastes it . I got the Italian combo, it was a Perfectly balanced amount of meat for my liking. But the bread was outstanding. .really happy to support local people like this, and so should you.
Went to the Sub Hub today and got a chicken cutlet hero with bacon, chips, and a soda for 9.99. What a deal! Sandwich was delicious, quick, and I think it was the owner(?) who told me that the bread is baked locally, so that’s awesome. Sandwich was just what I was looking for. I’ll have to come by here in the morning for breakfast one of these days.
I was hungry after volunteering for several hours during the COVID pandemic and this little hero shop caught my eye. For $7.99, you could purchase a nice-sized sub with a menu that offers two dozen various Boar's Head meats and cheeses. Thrown into the deal was a can of soda and bag of chips. I thought that this was a great deal. The guy who ran the business was very friendly and showed me a selection of many wet toppings that could be added to my sandwich including pickles, jalapenos, tomato slices, lettuce, and several other options. The worker didn't just do his job, he actually made recommendations on what he offered. You could tell that he loved working there. I'm assuming that he's either the owner or a very dedicated employee. The hero bread was soft and tasted fresh. And of course the meat on my hero was Boar's Head, so we already know the quality there. What made this place stand out was a large selection of candy packages that appeared to be Japanese imports. These candies, along with a display showing an assortment of anime toys on a nearby shelf, added color and playfulness to the store's ambiance. Overall, the place was clean, presentable, and due to the worker's (owner's?) friendliness, had a great vibe to it. I usually visit Park Slope to eat at restaurants, but this place will now be on my radar when I'm in the mood for a sub made at a mom and pop place instead of from a national chain.
