Sunset Park Diner Brooklyn Reviews
Best diner of the city!! We came here last year since our hotel was next door. This year we booked the same place just so we can have breakfast here every morning. Service is on point, food is fresh and good, 10 out of 10!
I've had burgers from here twice, both were great! The brewed iced tea is good. The coffee and flan are great. Just be aware, it's cash only. Update: Oh, my goodness, the meatloaf sandwich! This is not your grandma's meatloaf. If it is your grandma's meatloaf why are you thinking about eating out? Go see Grandma! Otherwise, get in here! No photos, I ate too fast!
Great breakfast spot! Fresh orange juice is some of the best I’ve had, and a generous portion. Service excellent and fast. Omelette and pancake with eggs platters were good and very filling. Definitely coming back to try the more traditional Mexican dishes. Cash only. It was pretty full but not more than a 5-10 minute wait for most places.
In Brooklyn for an art exhibit and we got there too early so we decided to stop in for coffee and a snack. So happy we did! The nicest people working there ❤️, great coffee, perfect fries and yummy donuts. Will return for a proper meal 😁 Accessible ♿️, street parking. Varied menu with lots of healthy choices. When we got to the art exhibit we met a couple that, when they lived in Brooklyn, considered Sunset Park Diner their absolute favorite diner!
12am I'm starving & want pancakes sooooo here we are & let me tell you something. QUALITY diner. The chocolate chip pancakes were made from scratch and were absolutely delicious. I'm not a fan of eggs but when you're getting them on a deal, why not. But now the turkey bacon. See. I love me some turkey bacon and eat it frequently. When our waitress asked if I would like the turkey bacon well done I hesitated for a moment, I had never been asked that before. Since she stumped me I obliged and I am so happy I did because the cook on that turkey bacon was EVERYTHING. It had a beautiful char and smoky flavor without being burnt or too crunchy. Honestly some of the best turkey bacon I've ever had. I'll be back, no question.
This place is pretty cool. We had an incredible server. She was welcoming and very friendly. Very tasty diner food. The most memorable part of the meal was without a doubt their desserts made in house. The cheesecake was delicious and MASSIVE. The blueberry pie, which I ordered, was also spot on.
I went on a Friday night around 10 pm. So the diner was not full at all. Nevertheless, the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. I had breakfast for Diner (of course), and the food was good and tasted fresh. The bathroom was actually nice and clean at that time.
Sunset Park Diner Est. 1981 Layout/atmosphere *Booths; seven seat counter; TV; cash only; 24 hours Service *Solid Food/drink *Chorizo & eggs (three over easy) with home fries & rye toast - good *Donuts (Coffee roll - good; huge [favorite]; plain cruller - dry, didn’t like it; cinnamon sugar donut - good; glazed donut - good) - all yeast style donuts
Food could be better . All 4 eggs were broken. Pancakes were terrible. 2 People had them and neither one liked them. Staff could do a better job with rowdy customers. Went for an early Sunday breakfast and Several drunk people from Saturday night were in there. (7 am). Screaming, cursing , Not your desired Quiet breakfast time.
This place has lost its soul completely. I've been coming here for decades. The quality of the food has only looked esthetically nice but the taste and flavor has been a disappointment. They didnt get my order correct but they made sure to put my food in this high quality material fancy box. If only they added the bacon to my bacon cheeseburger deluxe. Their prices are way too inflated for the poor quality food theyre serving. And since theyre cash only its not that easy to get a refund. What am I gonna do, ask them to send a delivery guy to give me the difference in price? Or have them deliver 3 slices of bacon? They get away with this crap and it's not fair.
