Taqueria El Maguey Brooklyn Reviews
CASH only. 100% delicious and they have an extensive Vegan menu. They served us chips with pico de gallo. From the vegan menu I had the Vegan Al Pastor, Vegan El Carne, Vegan Pollo & Vegan El Filete tacos with their dairy sour cream. The vegan pollo tostados and the vegan al pastor empanadas were also very delicious. The lady who took our order was super informative and friendly. For dessert we had the tres leche cake which was delicious and the best was the Horchata. 10/10 would recommend!
Very nice place! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Food is good! I got the taco sampler. Clean facilities which is always nice. Liked the decor too
Delicious Vegan Mexican Food, this is my 2nd time here and I would eat here everyday if I could. Strongly recommend the soy chorizo.
I recommend this place to everyone, try there octopus tacos, the carnitas delicious. The al pastor was great and the desserts must get. Agua frescas please get one I promise you it’s the best
The food is so good with a good sized portions. The service is quick and friendly.
Solid dinner nearby Liberty View Hotel. Would come back!
Super delicious food with GREAT portions! 100% would come back again with MORE people!!!
The food is delicious and the home made tres leches is to die for. Will come back when I get another craving for Mexican food.
Awesome food ... No alcohol... But the liquor store is around the corner

We get delivery from here weekly. For years now. No kidding. Best Mexican food in Brooklyn and I grew up in California so I know what I’m talking about. Authentic, delicious, fresh, fast, and spicy. We love the enchiladas and nachos. Tacos are great. Salsa is superb. Hubby loves the burritos. I love the breakfast dishes as well, like the chilaquiles. Also great entrees, I’m partial to the chiles relleños. When we’re sick, we order the pozole chicken soup. So healing and delicious and the tostadas that come on the side are perfection! Great arroz y frijoles. Most rice and beans in this side of Brooklyn are disappointing, but this place does them right. Always a telling sign that the place is legit if they get that right! They can even accommodate gluten free and vegan diets, which is hard in this area, especially if you’re entertaining. They even have a gluten free quesadilla made with a homemade corn tortilla and it is so good!! And they also offer catering! We love their flan and rice pudding too. Don’t sleep on this spot. The aguas frescas hit the spot too. Enjoy!!
Third time here the food can never make it to the photo because i am too busy ENJOYING IT! Fully vegan menu! It has never hurt my stomach and all ingredients are so fresh each time! This is the best place! Empanadas are sooo good m I get the Al Pastor Quesadilla and it’s so goood. My gf gets the Tostada and loves it. The bean tacos are delicious.

The mushroom, nopales, and calabaza tacos were delicious, but the steak tacos were unfortunately dry. However, the customer service was excellent, which made the experience enjoyable overall.

I went here months ago and it was just alright, so decided to give it another try. Got the pork pozole soup. This soup didn't smell right from the moment i opened the container. The soup was hot, yet the broth itself was almost jello-like consistency, almost congealed. The pozole texture is 100000% not supposed to be congealed. The broth did not taste right at all and the meat was borderline starting to go bad. I just don't know how you serve a customer with a soup that both smells bad and looks bad. Would like a refund but I know that's likely not to happen. You guys have to do better than this.

This is first time I order here and I didn't like it..!! food not so good the pozole wasn't fresh , 😕 also I asks for sweet corn with out spicy for my girl 2 years old and they put spicy Chilli powder So... I don't feel like order again from this restaurant.

I have been a vegan for years but this place serves one of the worse vegan food I have ever had. I had the Philly cheesesteak and the steak empanada and they were both very dry and not tasty. It was like eating dry bread with unmelted cheese with onions and peppers. It seem like they used soy chunks and it wasn’t seasoned and I could count the amount of soy chunk pieces in the bread. They then used the same dry soy chunks in the empanada as well. When you take a bite of the empanada, all the soy chunk pieces starts jumping around-that’s how dry it was. I’m really hoping the real chef was out sick and they don’t actually serve this on a regular to customers.
I ordered Vegan carne asada empanadas and recieved real chicken and cheese empanadas. I am very disappointed and got sick right after.. if you’re vegan, don’t eat here. The vegan chicken tacos are just tofu…
Place smells like mold, staff is slow, and food isn’t even good, for a 24 hr establishment they work very slow…. Expect to wait over30 minutes for your food to be ready..
I ordered chicken enchilada and received a chicken/ ground beef/ground pork enchilada SMOTHERED in red sauce and shredded lettuce. I don’t eat red meat and I definitely don’t eat pork. I ordered chips and salsa and the salsa was just enchilada red sauce plus diced jalapeño. This was the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had in my life. Do not order from this establishment.
Placed an order for my office 24 hours ahead, as we had people working overtime on a Saturday. Ordered directly from their website, hours state they are open Friday - Saturday 9AM - 12AM. The order was $500+ placed to be delivered to our office (which is a 3 minute drive from their location) at 1PM on Saturday (today). I received a text message at 12:33PM saying that my order was cancelled. This is the third time this has happened. Their food and prices are excellent, but unfortunately you never know when they are actually open so I will never be able to trust placing an order from them again.
Check the opening hours! Complete waste of time visiting here as the restaurant is only open 1 day a week. We had a restaurant.com voucher and unable to use it
