Taqueria Milear Brooklyn Reviews
Excellent taco spot. Super authentic approach. The service was amazing and incredibly attentive. They have a 10 taco special with a pitcher of drinks for 25$. The pulled pork preparation was very authentic and the handmade tortillas were thick and yellow corn and delicious. The meal was terrific and we’re definitely going back for the Tuesday beer special. 100% recommending for a more authentic taco option.
We had such a great time here! We tried a variety of dishes and each one was more delicious than the last. The drinks were perfectly made and paired so well with our meals. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the staff went above and beyond to make our visit special. Definitely a new favorite spot!
I needed a kid friendly quick place to eat by the Brooklyn children’s museum and I found Taqueria Milear which ticked all the boxes. Everything we ate was delicious and kids devoured the guacamole and chips and chicken tacos. The service was fantastic. I would highly recommend Taqueria Milear to friends.
Came here with my family and we absolutely loved the food, the vibe, the staff and service. We ordered the nachos, birria quesadilla, and assorted tacos. Everything was fresh—homemade corn tortillas!!! Some Mexican restaurants can be so heavy on cheese and grease but not here, fresh and well balanced. The small house-made bottles of salsas are heavenly, I could drink them. Also everything is so reasonably priced which is rare these days. Cant wait to go back.
We have eaten here twice, the tacos are great! Tried steak, carnitas, lenguas, chorizo and tilapia, all really good and I love their tortilla. The red salsa is great you can taste the charred chili flavor. It says pick up take out only but does have some seatings inside, and the staffs are all super nice!!! Love this spot, it also opens late.
As soon as you walk into Taqueria Milear, you immediately feel the warmth and the cozy, inviting vibe. I’m genuinely in love with this place — everything tastes homemade because it truly is. They have amazing weekly specials, too: • Happy Hour on Mondays ALL DAY with classic margaritas for only $10 (so good!) • Tecate Tuesday, perfect if you love an easy, chilled beer • And my absolute favorite: the Carnitas Combo — tender, flavorful pulled pork that hits every time, available any day of the week. If you’re vegetarian or avoid dairy, the Vegetable Burrito is incredible. It’s hearty, packed with flavor, and wrapped in their house-made corn tortilla, which makes all the difference. Don’t skip the chips it comes with a scoop of guacamole on top of the warm chips. Heaven. Brunch here is another level: • Their chilaquiles are comforting and perfectly seasoned • And the eggs with steak is such a satisfying combo The cocktails are unreal — especially their signature pineapple spicy cocktail. Truly one of the best I’ve had. Overall, Taqueria Milear is one of those rare spots where everything feels thoughtful, homemade, and delicious. I can’t recommend it enough!
The carnitas tacos were amazing. We grabbed two pounds of mixed carintas with freshly made corn tortillas and the fixtures. Fed six people super well. Agua de jamaica and tamarindo were great too. The servers were polite and very attentive. The place is small, but homie. A to go is right next door for a quick bite. Highly recommend.
First time I came here was like a year ago, and I’ve always meant to make a review about Milear; so here we go : First of all , Manuel and Ryan provided wonderful service, always anticipating your need before you even asked, once I didn’t know what to order ; Therefore being opened to suggestions; Manuel Suggested the carnitas , and since then I’ve been in love with it and been coming back for more ; in addition to it , their consistency it’s unbelievable top notch food. Come try it out for yourself. Bottom line they’ve succeeded at making carnitas an Unforgettable Delicious experience.
Taquería Milear never disappoints! The food is absolutely amazing — full of flavor, fresh, and always prepared with care. The service is just as impressive. Roberto, in particular, is outstanding. He’s always attentive, polite, and incredibly friendly, making every visit feel welcoming and enjoyable. If you’re looking for delicious food paired with exceptional service, Taquería Milear is the place to go!
The service is SUPERB, the waiter made us feel very welcomed and shared with us his recommendations. The food was delicious, we got the 1 pound of meat combo and it was perfect for two people. We are so full and content. The handmade tortillas really make the difference, too. I’ve always loved ordering from here but now I will come back in person again
Amazing food and even better service from start to finish. They really took care of us constantly checking in without being annoying and making sure we had everything we needed. You can tell he actually cares about the experience, not just rushing people in and out. The birria tacos were on a different level… super flavorful, fresh, and honestly some of the best I’ve had anywhere. The whole vibe of the place felt welcoming, and the food came out fast too. Definitely somewhere I’d come back to and recommend to anyone looking for quality.
This place is amazing! The food is always great and the margaritas hit every time plus they’re even cheaper on Mondays. I had a torta this time and it was delicious. My bill was under $30, which is rare these days. The staff is super friendly and attentive, and the vibe is warm and welcoming. I keep coming back because it never disappoints!
Love this place!! Excellent food that is authentic. Great outdoor patio as well! The service is great, everyone is very friendly. I’ve eaten here multiple times as I’m a Crown Heights resident and everything I’ve tried tastes amazing. I love supporting this place!
Gael,Manuel, and Eric have given amazing service every single time my family and I come here. Seriously I’m located in Long Island and we travel to Brooklyn just for their amazing tacos. And if you’ve had a really fun time the night before and have a little hangover going on I recommend the pozole. Trust me it did wonders when I ordered it. Genuinely recommend this place. It had outdoor and indoor seating and both are just as nice. You won’t regret it.
Authentic, exceptional, and pure are the words that describe the fundamental style of cooking presented here at this beautiful establishment. I knew the food was gonna be good once the menu wasn’t in English and boy was I right. My girlfriend said I looked like I was in love while eating my food and had to decide between the tacos or her. Shrimp tacos were definitely the go to and the fried flounder was amazing as well. Not to mention the frozen margaritas. I’ll be back here for sure! Wish I took pics but I was too damn hungry once the food came out. Manuel was the best!
Absolute banger, every time. My wife and I have come here over a dozen times, and it's always terrific. The seating out back feels spacious and comfortable, the food is fantastic, the staff is great, and I swear I could drink their red sauce by the bottle. Great flavor, great heat, great on every dish I've tried, from the chicken tacos to the mushroom quesadilla to every bite of their monster burrito.
Decided to stop in on a Sunday evening for a quick bite. I tried the fried flounder taco, it was very flavorful and crispy! The mojito is also very delicious, not too sweet. Manuel was super kind and attentive. Would definitely recommend to friends and come back.
Immediately upon entering the service was so warm and kind. Roberto was so welcoming and you could tell that he was so proud of the food and culture here. The owner even came and said hi to us at one point! And they have a LOT to be proud of. The homemade tortillas were unlike anything I’ve had before. I’m usually not a fan of carnitas, but the ones they make here are incredible fresh and delicious. If you’re not hungry, definitely come for the drinks. The spicy chipotle margarita is a whole meal in a drink - SO good. I was only able to get a picture of the drinks but look how beautiful they are! They also have a great happy hour deal where margaritas are $9-10. Such a great hidden gem in crown heights. Highly recommend for atmosphere, drinks, food and service.
I just randomly ended up here. The ambiance, the crowd, the music and the staff were all amazing. Most importantly the food was definitely one of the best Mexican I’ve had in New York City. Incredible births tacos, perfect spicy margaritas, and very good flan. Great experience overall and reasonably priced. Highly recommended
Ordered Jalapeño queso and got cheese whiz with 3 Jalapeño on top. For $9 ... the service is ok. The tamales are good. But it seems if you're black your service will be very slow and unattended. I'm more upset at the fake processed queso. It was like the cheese out a big can. It first came to the table cold. Then they warned it. Same processed cheese just warm. Or did they just serve ME this. Cause I know they're not serving Hispanics this cheese and they're ok with it. Not "Queso" at all. No peppers no season. Just overly orange cheese. I've been here a few times. Normally for drinks to go tho. I dnt think I'll ever come for food and everyone else's food looked so good. They also weren't black.
