Taste Good Restaurant Brooklyn Reviews
I was not disappointed at all. The food was delicious. Not too much salt but very tasty and full of flavor. To top it all, they give a lot of food, not just rice but meat also.
Finally a spot I can enjoy. The food is good and it's fresh. I've tried the goat (taso), turkey, legume and chicken all very good. Be very aware that their might be a line (which to me is a good thing). The customer service is on point. No one is rude even the cashier is nice. The system they have in place to order food is great. Everytime I tell myself not to go I end up there🤦🏾😩. The food is amazing.
First time going was on Monday an I gotta say it was worth the drive had the fried goat, pikliz n fried plaintain an gott damm wish I bought more the pikliz is the best I had so far and the 🐐 meat was seasoned very well. Fast forward today im here attempting to make pikliz so I can have on ready. 🤣🫡
I'll be visiting frequently enough that they'll know my name soon. The employees exceed quality expectations. The dessert menu deserved more attention than the mains. The environment here encourages second drinks. I'm looking forward to more food adventures here.
Every aspect of dining here feels carefully considered. The food was beyond outstanding. Their interior presents a cohesive theme. We never waited long and everyone was nice. This restaurant has earned my complete dedication.
The best Haitian food for me right now in Brooklyn, I eat from there at least twice a week if not more. Those cooks know what they are doing in that kitchen. It's like a home cooked meal to go pretty much. You can't go wrong. 👍🏾👍🏾
The food was amazing and the service was fast. The service was okay but I could see the workers getting very frustrated with customer requests. The food was fresh and very tasty! The line was to the door when I arrived which made me believe the food was a local favorite spot. First time here and definitely plan on flying back out to try out some stuff I missed like the fresh daily soup and lalo! Prices were amazing and I can’t wait to come back and also tell some folk I know!
Food is delicious. Good portions given for the price. Finally a Haitian restaurant that serves food on time! Traditional Haitian breakfast food items all ready by 8:30am. Variety of soups served on Sundays starting at 8:30. Lunch food served at 11:30am and most items ready by 12pm. Black rice served every Saturday and Sunday. Name the Haitian food you crave, it is there.
The food is good, at both the Brooklyn and Queens restaurant. I'm not too crazy about the rice and red beans. The restaurant needs to upgrade to serving vegetables dishes ( steam broccoli, spinach, string beans) as sides option, that way you can get a plate of just meat and veggies. Also needs more payment register to avoid the long lines when paying
Came here on 10/21/25, to get food for the first time and it was Nice and clean … I got the fried snapper with ble and some gravy .. The food was good and I’ll be back again, i saw some other foods I would like to try. The amount of food u receive and the pay , was excellent. Not expensive at all…
Just saw that the restaurant opened in the neighborhood across the H.S. B82, B47 & the B6 is there. Decided to check it out. No Printed menu or prices to be seen inside the store. You have to scan the QR code . Scan it seriously before you order . Looks clean & the staff was nice. You form a line & pick what you want & at the end is the register. I ordered what I felt looked good, paid & left. When I got home I looked at the menu. I got rice with red beans, fried goat (which my order had 3 pieces of meat & the rest was bones), lil salad 🥗 & fried plantain. They gave me a lil container of Pikliz. I got a grape soda for my son & fruit champagne soda for me to try it. Total was $23.95 .Food tasted good so yeah I'd go there another time to try the other meats. The lady said they Dont do delivery & Close at 9p.m. They sell slices of red Velvet, chocolate & 2 other kids of cake & jars of pikliz FYI . Maybe one was cheesecake slices .
Food is delicious but customer service is horrible. Cant be arguing with customers and accusing they are lying for no reason. I wish management would take some time to properly train their employees; especially the women with attitude problems.
I went to this place 2 times. 1st time it closed an hour before it states on the Google site which was 8pm. I got there at 7:10 on a weekday and they were closing. It hurt because I been trying to get to this place for a few weeks now and I came from far. Second time I came early early for them to not have the one item I been craving. Black rice. It really just turned me off completely. I order food anyway.it was expensive but they do provide alot of food . It was a bit salty in my opinion.
As someone who doesn’t speak Haitian creole, it was impossible to order from here. There was no menu to look at with translation and the servers were no help they catch an attitude because I didn’t know what they were saying nor what was being displayed. Looks great but I wont be eating where I’m not welcomed!
What is going on in there? First time customer here and I don’t know if all the hyped I was told about this restaurant either was a lie or they changed their cooks. When I got home and opened the bag the food had a terrible smell, like it was rotten. This was the first bad sign.I ordered the mushroom rice with fried fish, when I tell you there was no flavor , I mean no flavor! Where was the epis?? Thank god for the onion pikliz , without it I would not have been able to eat this food . The side sauce taste like prego tomatoes sauce no flavor. You guys have to do better than this
This haitian restaurant is a big disappointment.I recently visited Good Taste restaurant at 5919 Flatland Ave Brooklyn NY. I was disgusted by the dirty floor. all customers that was there seemed to be regular who were unbothered by the state of the restaurant. It seems like customers weren't prioritizing their health and hygiene. From a business perspective, hiring a dedicated cleaning staff could greatly improve the environment and make it healthier for customers.
