The Evergreen Brooklyn Reviews
this place feels like home when i don't wanna stay at home. i feel too much gratitude for the evergreen to even put into words. the greatest corner of Bushwick i ever accidentally stumbled upon, and now that i have, i don't see myself straying any further. highly recommend for a night out, a quick drink, or if you want a taste of what real nyc once was like! thank you 🙏💖🍻
Great atmosphere and affordable drinks! Amanda was amazing and was so attentive and sweet to my friends and i. The cat was a great bonus! we love the furry employees as well! 💜
Great staff. Dogs and locals. Amanda makes this bar.
Great Bushwick bar with good drinks great crowd and fun bartenders... My go in Bushwick and recommend to anyone who enjoys hearty conversation and heavy pours. Amanda, Dani and few other stellar bartenders will see you right! Some cool events too (trivia, parties, seasonal decorations, etc.)
The Evegreen is the quintessential neighborhood/dive bar. It’s not only a place where one goes to have a drink… albeit that might be one’s initial Intention… however, you quickly realize that the patrons are neighborhood regulars. The energy is more than welcoming. It’s become a familiar community. the staff is absolutely stellar. Like CHEERS “Sometimes you wanna go Where everybody knows your name And they're always glad you came. You come in for a drink but find a community. One that is welcoming and friendly.
What a cute find! Little dive bar in a quiet part of Bushwick, about a 10 minute walk from Wilson Av L train stop. The bartender is super nice, drinks are very reasonably priced, and I love the fact that they have arcade games and shuffleboard. The regulars there were also super nice and welcoming :)
I’ve been coming here since for the past 7 years on and off. If I’m not mistaken, my Polaroid picture is in this bar somewhere from an amazing first date I had with my ex, now dear friend, 2017-esque. IYKYK. One of the few trustworthy places that I can take a date, a friend or even simply a colleague to and know that we’ll have a good time. Also, Amanda is my new bartender crush. Will happily tip her until I have no more. Thank you for your compliments about my cologne.
This has quickly become one of my favorite places in the world. I come for the pinball, but stay for the people- Lucy is the best of ‘em. Outside of being a first rate bartender, she’s just straight up an awesome human, and adds so much value and personality to the place.
Amazing bar, quiet early in the evening and a party late at night. Bartenders are always super nice and talkative. Happy Hour until 8pm every day. Overall a very good bar for hanging out without too much high key energy.
This is my favorite neighborhood bar by far. The bartenders are also friendly and attentive, and it’s filled with mostly regulars so it has a very chill vibe to it. The best part by far though is Hercules, the best regular in the place. It’s a good place to go and have a few drinks with friends and talk. It can occasionally get loud and busy, but it’s usually pretty quiet with plenty of places to seat and hang out for awhile.
The evergreen bar is the best. I am in the process of moving out of the neighborhood right now after living here for a year, and I can definitely say that I will miss the evergreen. I'll surely come back for visits. I was treated like family at the evergreen and made lots of friends. it has a great atmosphere and great bartenders. They hired one bartender who is a bit mean spiritied and unpleasant, but otherwise they are all absolutely great. They treat you amazingly and are super friendly. The night that I told them I was moving out of the neighborhood I swear I felt gunuine appreciation from staff for having been a loyal fan. Definitely come here.
Great drinks. Great music. Great service. But the food is gross (microwaved soggy fries etc ), and the bathroom is rank and always has piss splatter on the floor. As a woman it’s a no go. Which sucks because drinking makes me need the bathroom every 5 minutes. If they would get a better menu (nothing fancy just maybe get a toaster oven instead?) and clean the bathroom more often this would easily be my go to spot.
Good jams coming from speakers, the perfect lighting and selection of beers. The vibe here is awesome! Friendly regulars and great bartenders. The only thing that stops from being 5 is no food except the microwaveable popcorn, burgers and hotdogs. But don’t let that stop you because u can bring ur own food or order from local area
If you go here don’t open up a tab they will tip themselves the next day
The service was fine but for me i didn’t love the bar. There are games in the back but they were a mess just all mixed together and we did play shuffle board but it was almost too dark to see the table. For this reason i wouldn’t go back. Definitely a dive.
