Very Good place i and my frend enjoy it so much...
Just always awesome and great beer selection
Small and quiet bar but great place to be
Can't say enough about how great the vibe in this place is. It's nearly impossible to not get into a conversation with a local stranger. Plus, huge beer and whiskey selections always help make for a great night!
A great place to chill & meet people. Staff is attentive and friendly. Drink menu is brief and straight to the point and a good selection of bottles and draughts..
Considering COVID restrictions, the evergreen has done an amazing job with following protocol while maintaining a true sense of comfort. A lowkey vibe, very welcoming and friendly staff. Amazing prices as well!
Super chill bar with dogs. "Hey, who's licking my hand?"
Great friendly welcome after a ten hour journey, and a lovely selection of beers. Recommended if you're in the neighborhood :-)
Best Bar in Bushwick, hands down, singles, couples, groups, whatever, just an overall good atmosphere and great bartenders!
Great neighborhood bar with super friendly staff. Can't wait for the patio to open up this spring!
Bartenders there are always awesome. Great crowd and great selection of beer and whiskey. The popcorn is a plus
Favorite neighborhood bar. Staff is chill, drinks are stiff, bathrooms are clean, and there's a patio out back for smoking.
Good vibes and prices
Cozy. Friendly bartenders. Marcus grills jerk chicken some nights. Beautiful. Still cool after the pandemic years
Real comfortable neighborhood bar with a great staff that makes you feel right at home.
Super nice community bar. Friendly people and good streetfood very close by :)
Quiet dive bar in the heart of Bushwick where all are welcome the bartender is awesome new favorite that I'll soon visit again.
Great bar, cool music, good beers and I always meet cool locals
This bar has not one, but TWO televisions and they do play culturally and geographically relevant content on them. Example: one night I was here and they played a baseball sports game. Another night (during the month of October) they played classic (and spooky) Halloween movies. I mean, what a nice touch, you know?
My brother, do you remember me because I loved meeting y'all and visiting your bar. Remember, my names Mark from Nashville. Funny thing is I visited NYC by myself before I went back to work, saw smokey Robinson etc and caught subway everywhere staying at a b and b in Rockaway. Then om the way home I said, nope, I want another drink. I got off and googled nearest bar from subway stop and it had me walking down Bushwick which I swear to you I played on my phone from Geto Boys while I walked down it to make me feel safer. Lol, I'll attach picture. Remember, ty for taking care of me good people.
this place feels like home when i don't wanna stay at home. i feel too much gratitude for the evergreen to even put into words. the greatest corner of Bushwick i ever accidentally stumbled upon, and now that i have, i don't see myself straying any further. highly recommend for a night out, a quick drink, or if you want a taste of what real nyc once was like! thank you 🙏💖🍻
Great atmosphere and affordable drinks! Amanda was amazing and was so attentive and sweet to my friends and i. The cat was a great bonus! we love the furry employees as well! 💜
Great staff. Dogs and locals. Amanda makes this bar.
Great Bushwick bar with good drinks great crowd and fun bartenders... My go in Bushwick and recommend to anyone who enjoys hearty conversation and heavy pours. Amanda, Dani and few other stellar bartenders will see you right! Some cool events too (trivia, parties, seasonal decorations, etc.)
The Evegreen is the quintessential neighborhood/dive bar. It’s not only a place where one goes to have a drink… albeit that might be one’s initial Intention… however, you quickly realize that the patrons are neighborhood regulars. The energy is more than welcoming. It’s become a familiar community. the staff is absolutely stellar. Like CHEERS “Sometimes you wanna go Where everybody knows your name And they're always glad you came. You come in for a drink but find a community. One that is welcoming and friendly.
What a cute find! Little dive bar in a quiet part of Bushwick, about a 10 minute walk from Wilson Av L train stop. The bartender is super nice, drinks are very reasonably priced, and I love the fact that they have arcade games and shuffleboard. The regulars there were also super nice and welcoming :)
I’ve been coming here since for the past 7 years on and off. If I’m not mistaken, my Polaroid picture is in this bar somewhere from an amazing first date I had with my ex, now dear friend, 2017-esque. IYKYK. One of the few trustworthy places that I can take a date, a friend or even simply a colleague to and know that we’ll have a good time. Also, Amanda is my new bartender crush. Will happily tip her until I have no more. Thank you for your compliments about my cologne.
This has quickly become one of my favorite places in the world. I come for the pinball, but stay for the people- Lucy is the best of ‘em. Outside of being a first rate bartender, she’s just straight up an awesome human, and adds so much value and personality to the place.
Amazing bar, quiet early in the evening and a party late at night. Bartenders are always super nice and talkative. Happy Hour until 8pm every day. Overall a very good bar for hanging out without too much high key energy.
This is my favorite neighborhood bar by far. The bartenders are also friendly and attentive, and it’s filled with mostly regulars so it has a very chill vibe to it. The best part by far though is Hercules, the best regular in the place. It’s a good place to go and have a few drinks with friends and talk. It can occasionally get loud and busy, but it’s usually pretty quiet with plenty of places to seat and hang out for awhile.
The evergreen bar is the best. I am in the process of moving out of the neighborhood right now after living here for a year, and I can definitely say that I will miss the evergreen. I'll surely come back for visits. I was treated like family at the evergreen and made lots of friends. it has a great atmosphere and great bartenders. They hired one bartender who is a bit mean spiritied and unpleasant, but otherwise they are all absolutely great. They treat you amazingly and are super friendly. The night that I told them I was moving out of the neighborhood I swear I felt gunuine appreciation from staff for having been a loyal fan. Definitely come here.
Very nice mellow environment! Especially for the mature type!
Divey little joint. Medium-slow service. Considering the options (or lack there of) in this neighborhood, it gets the job done.
Cheap drinks; what more can you ask for
Really chill neighborhood bar.
Great atmosphere and service
A nice chill out barb
Kool place. Just needs to add a few more selections of liquors. Bit all in all a Kool Spot.
Local water hole. I only had long island & margarita. Both were good.
Good bar, decently priced drinks and nice service
Funky snd friendly. Nice outdoor space. Dog friendly.
Not very busy but it was nice and welcoming.
Look like a bar that be in Park Slope on 5th Avenue but... I was scared to try the microwave Magic food
Had a good time at this neighborhood bar. Decent beer prices and a chill atmosphere. Also this guy was here and made me feel welcome (the dog).
Yeah, the crowd skews a tad older (talkin round 40) and the TV screens aren’t ideal (they don’t fit the vibe, and I don’t need to see Attack of the Clones ever, much less while drinking wine. Couldn’t believe that was actually on.) ...but they have good, inexpensive drinks, nice quiet atmosphere so you don’t have to yell, and a little side patio so you can drink alcohol and smoke a cig at the same time and that’s just great.
Pretty good selection of beer, cocktails on the cheaper side, very friendly >.< no really great food options but that's the only downside to this dive bar type place. great music 1
Great social experience. Love the Chalkboard bathroom 😆 Erin the bartender is super cool. Jacob is is just funny open & cool as well...
Drinks are cheap. Wouldn't order food though. They don't really have a "kitchen". But they DO have Galaga so I'd say it's a fair trade off
Nice chill spot with some good music, nice side yard outdoor area, and friendly bartenders.
Friendly service, decent price drinks, only thing is the inside is very dark in my opinion, its a little disorienting at times
Classy place to be LOL sometimes you got to go where everybody knows your name LOL there's some places that you go to get lost in others we find yourself this place can be known as the latter
Great service and quality alcohol. It's tiny though which can be a pro or con depending on your needs.
This is a neighborhood bar, most people who come here live in the area, i moved to this part of bushwick less than a year ago and have become a regular as the next closest bar is a further down broadway. I walk with my dog and pass the bar frequently and was invited in by someone who is now my friend and so are our doggos who frequently hang out with us and together at the bar. The bar’s patrons are friendly and inviting and the owner is lenient and is tolerant of a dog or two joining the party. My only complaint is that of the bartender named Zaidy, I feel that he’s had something against me from the start always donning a fake smile, he has forgotten to serve me wwdrinks that Ive ordered on busy nights but hadnt forgotten anyone else, his apology was insincere, his facial expressions don’t match what he says. Anyway he saw another patron I was with use something illegal at the back table, later that night he tells me that I am not welcome here on the nights he works and if I keep prying into reasons why then it will be worse, I asked my buddy who I was with who was the one who perpetrated the act and he told me Zaidy had banned us those nights because of that but gave my buddy a second chance because they knew eachother longer, but Im still banned even though I wasnt partaking. Unfair and biased, he’s going to deal with it, I don’t plan going there on any particular day but if I do end up there on a night he’s working and he starts something, he will have to cause a scene, because he cannot justify the ban and considering he gave the actual perpetrator a second chance well he’s going to have to figure out how to get rid if me legally. I won’t put up with being made to feel like the bad guy when im not.
Great drinks. Great music. Great service. But the food is gross (microwaved soggy fries etc ), and the bathroom is rank and always has piss splatter on the floor. As a woman it’s a no go. Which sucks because drinking makes me need the bathroom every 5 minutes. If they would get a better menu (nothing fancy just maybe get a toaster oven instead?) and clean the bathroom more often this would easily be my go to spot.
Good jams coming from speakers, the perfect lighting and selection of beers. The vibe here is awesome! Friendly regulars and great bartenders. The only thing that stops from being 5 is no food except the microwaveable popcorn, burgers and hotdogs. But don’t let that stop you because u can bring ur own food or order from local area
Great vibe but they need to clean the tap lines..all the draughts taste off
Place was ok.. good neighborhood spot for a quick drink. Nothing to brag about though. Bartender didn’t know what Jack neat was.. also didn’t know how to make an old fashioned.. am I asking for too much ? Lol
If you go here don’t open up a tab they will tip themselves the next day
The service was fine but for me i didn’t love the bar. There are games in the back but they were a mess just all mixed together and we did play shuffle board but it was almost too dark to see the table. For this reason i wouldn’t go back. Definitely a dive.
I didnt go in the evergreen stop being noisy
Horrible bartender service the little girl there she's lazy and never around when I was there
The bartender she’s horrible never in the bar and very rude to me
