Casual vibes, food and drinks came almost instantly.

I have come here for years. The only thing better than the delicious food, the warm environment, the crisp drinks, and rocking outdoor area, is the staff. Every single of them is gold. Cant wait for my next visit.

The Korean steak and egg is absolutely delicious. The steak is nice and tender and it comes on kimchi rice. Thoroughly enjoyed that. They make good dumplings. My dining partner enjoyed his lamb dish, which was a special. The service is excellent. We've come here several times and just walked in. The wait for the table is usually not long.

Reluctantly giving 5 stars only because I don’t want the hordes finding out about this refuge for people looking for great food drinks and an old school neighborly feel. Seriously though, get here to try *anything* on the menu, you won’t be disappointed. If you absolutely need a recommendation- the Shrimp & Grits or the Burger are top notch.

Been a few times. Food has been consistently good as well as the house cocktails. Stayed an hour or two longer than planned each time I’ve visited because the vibe was great.

We went to the Good Fork to celebrate my nephew's 14th birthday. The place looks nice, it has a retro feel to it. We ordered dumplings as an appetizer, they were delicious. We ordered a steak and a burger as mains and they were both very well made. The place has good draft brooklyn beer, such as the other half and six point. Staff was very kind as well. over all a great experience. Thank you Good Fork.

The Good Fork Restaurant is in Red Hook, Brooklyn. They make their own dumplings, which were extremely good. There are always specials. Everything has been very good. The service is great. The owner cooks in the kitchen and her husband helps out front. The menu changes frequently. The dining room is very small. If you have to wait for a table, it is worth the wait. The desserts are homemade. Delicious

Excellent food, drink and service. Great and satisfying small dishes. While the portions are on the small side, the food was very well prepared, delicious and I left feeling satisfied. The scallion pancake is a must have. I highly recommend the Good Fork. I will be back.

Good Fork 2.0 has a new personality: expanded bar in front, more seating in the garden area out back, awesome menu. Definitely try the fish and chips - puts alternatives from Brooklyn Crab and Lobster Pound to shame! Oh and they have great pints of Guinness served up by local Bait & Tackle legend Barry on tap - new neighborhood fave!

Met up with my partner after a rehearsal she had down here (she’s the best!) anywho - tried to walk into red hook tavern without a res (like a coupla chumps!). They said It was gonna be a seven year wait til we could get the shrimp cocktail, so tail-between-our-legs we hobbled down Van Brunt (like adorable animated dogs from a 90’s Disney Movie) and poked our heads into TGFP (we are on an acronym basis at this point ;) - the vibes ? Immaculate. The food? Indescribable (( actually think the burger rivals RHT 😳)), but I digress - unpretentious, creative menu, another gem of the neighborhood. Come here folks or I’ll come and get you !

I was absolutely blown away by the food and service at Good Fork in Red Hook. We were a bit nervous that it wouldn't live up to the prices which seemed a bit high, especially for Red Hook, but everything was amazing. We arrived without a reservation and were told we could have the cool little table in the corner as long as we could be done by the time the reservation arrived. The quaint, lovely, garden area was completely full already though I'd go back just to sit out there. Service was very good throughout, very friendly and helpful with recommendations. It wasn't particularly fast, but the atmosphere lent to a laid back feeling and we enjoyed relaxing and taking it all in. The wine, sourced locally from the nearby winery, was exquisite, not expensive, and complimented the food very well. The mussels we ordered as an appetizer were delicious. It was a huge plate of about 30 mussels in an incredible spice that hinted of old bay. The garlic bread was also delicious, I wish they gave more than one slice. The mussels were obviously high quality as they had none of the hint of fishiness you often get with them. The duck breast was superbly tasty and was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The veggies and sauce were also wonderful. I really liked the spicy sauce but wish there was more. The bass special was also very good and came in a delicious stew. We even ordered dessert because the dulce de leche and pepper ice cream sounded too good to resist. It was everything I hoped for and more. I could have dealt with it being spicier with more pepper, but realize not everyone wants to cry with their ice cream. The spice was well balanced with a delicious savory taste. Red Hook may be a bit far out of the way, but with he free Ikea ferry and how good this meal was, I think we will be back.

Great service, wait staff are nice and the place has a casual vibe. We had something from each part of the menu and the food was really good! Drinks are also really nice, they have a few staples on the cocktail menu but can make most other classics on the fly. What a lovely night.

It was not a fancy restaurant but the atmosphere was relaxing and inviting. The staff were friendly and attended to us quickly. I enjoyed myself with a relaxing atmosphere and good food.

Went here with a group of friends. They have a few tables inside and a cool bar. Outside there’s a covered patio. Ordering is easy via their app and service is fast and friendly. The best surprise was their taco pop-up on Fridays. Each person in our group was accommodated by the menu (vegetarian, pescatarian, gluten-free, and meat eaters rejoice). Run, don’t walk 🏃🏾‍♂️the tortillas alone (made to order) are worth the trek to Red Hook 😋 Will be back for sure!

The best thing we ever did was miss the IKEA ferry back to Manhattan and stumbled upon this gem, tucked away near the waterfront. They have only been opened six weeks since this writing and the locals were pouring in on a Saturday afternoon in the last week of august, while everyone else was heading out of town. The drinks and conversations were familiar and welcoming and you could tell this place will be the place to be in the coming weeks with years ahead. There is outside seating as charming and cozy as the bar inside. We did not have time to dine, but checking out the kitchen and seeing how everything was moving like a flock of starlings in fall, I have no doubt the menu is delicious. Run… don’t walk to this place.

This cozy place is more than worth the trip to Red Hook. The food is fresh and delicious. Had the "Good Fork Classic" with the Homemade Dumplings appetizer and the Steak and Eggs Korean Style entree. You get 5 Dumplings, though I would have preferred 6 because I couldn't get enough. The Steak and Eggs portion was just right. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive. I left there with a wide smile and I'll be back.

My wife and I were welcomed to a very warm and welcoming atmosphere with a friendly and accommodating wait staff. I recommend a reservation. 1st in line on a Saturday night we scored the romantic wrap-around window booth. The dishes were delicious and flavorful and I opted to go vegetarian of which there were sufficient combinations. Go! It's just so Good Fork!!!

I love the good fork!! Went there after a tough day and the bartender seemed to already know what I needed before I asked. A great snack and a cold glass of wine later, and I was cured. Get the tempura broccoli, get the burger, get the chips and dip. Get literally anything. It's the perfect neighborhood spot full of good energy and good people, with a beautiful backyard to boot. So happy to stumble into a place that already felt like it was my regular haunt. (and a good playlist too...)

This spot! The place looks small but it's huge. A ton of outside space with gorgeous plants and a cozy covered spot in the back with heat lamps that kick. The burger and fries (made in house) are by far the best I've had in a long time. All three of the salads are fantastic and you can get a Highlife or a cider or a great wine or an excellent cocktail. It's very laid back and equally a great place for a birthday party or solo hang time with a book!

Found this place looking for somewhere to eat nearby while at IKEA, and was so pleasantly surprised! Really good vegan burger and fries. Only complaint is they didn’t have non-dairy milk, so I drank my iced coffee black, but was actually pretty good. Will be back!

Stopped by for a nightcap with friends on a recent weekend. Everything about this place is fantastic: Incredibly friendly service that immediately makes you feel at home; great drinks, from cocktails to wine; a very eclectic and cozy environment that includes indoor and outdoor seating. This is absolutely the kind of place where you show up planning to have one drink and stay an hour, and end up spending five hours and enjoying several drinks instead… I hope Red Hook knows how good they’ve got it! We will absolutely be back, and look forward to trying more of the menu next time.

great neighborhood pub, good air conditioning at the bar for the summer heat… the korean short-rib Philly cheesesteak was very good. I liked the beer selection. The Bartender Barry is a good conversationalist. The Korean Fried Chicken is also awesome its a pretty large serving as well for $15. Kimi fries also great. I like the “Strong” pub ale as well. Theres a lot of outdoor seating.

This place has sentimental value to us. Good Fork was the first date my wife and I went out on. Aside from that, I highly recommend this place. They serve breakfast and dinner. Between the two, I recommend going for dinner. It has a very nice backyard for outdoor dining. It does get busy so if you have to wait for a table there is little room to stand inside (which means you'll be waiting outside). Bottom line, it's a great date place.

A

What more could a gal ask for?? Hot bartenders, hot food, hot spot. This is a neighborhood place that is worth a trip to Red Hook for if you’re not a local. On one of the nights I was there they had some DJs spinning vinyl in the front and everyone was dancing, the backyard was vibey and fun…pretty cinematic. As a NY native I’ve been to a lot of great places and am loathe to give away my best kept secrets but Good Fork is deserving of even more love so if you’re considering going—go!!!

This no-nonsense low key pub is one of the places to be in NY. Very welcoming deco and staff and nice outdoor terrace. Delicious philly sandwich with a spicy twist and mussels in coco thai sauce. Desserts were delicious. We will go back!

Have loved every visit here! The bartenders are super friendly and engaging (esp. Bearclaw!). Good amount of seating inside and a LOT of options out back or around the side yard! You order food/drinks through a QR code at your table and they bring them over. Cozy, homey vibes.

We love this place! really liked the way our drinks were served and when the person that helped us said they were "extra special" they wasn't clowning. The dumplings were good and the burger was great as well. will be back to try other dishes for sure :)

Yeah this place is a good find. It's a deceptive restaurant that continues toward the back and flushes out into a outdoor seating area. Easy to chill and have a meal here. The Clam diggers are on point.

Great spot! Food and service is fantastic! After getting booted from the Red Hook Tavern because they were at capacity at 2:30pm we stumbled upon this quaint little spot. Bartender was super nice and gave us the lay of the land. Picked our own table and got to ordering. The menu was simple, straight forward, with good options. You order from a QR code on the table and pay through their app which was fantastic. Food and drinks came quick. Would definitely recommend and come again!

Several great spaces - two outside patios, bar area, and inside patio area. Wide variety of drinks, food is solid. Some GF/V/VG options. Service is fine, online ordering via Toast only, so limited interactions with staff.

A pretty cool little pub-restaurant-hang-out spot in Red Hook, not far from the Louis Valentino, Jr. Park. It’s a large place, with a bar, indoor dining room, back outdoor dining area, and side dining area with a stage for performances. I came out on a Sunday while visiting friends in Brooklyn. The bands The Thing and Figure of Fun played, and there was a children’s craft area, and families hanging out. Good times! Had some Miller High Life and a chicken Caesar salad that really hit the spot. The Caesar dressing here is really good, and they use in-store rotisserie chicken, getting it perfectly juicy before plating.

We were in Red Hook and just googled for a place near our location for a quick bite and we were pleasantly surprised. Warm vibe, great beers and super tasty food. We loved the fact that everything was handled electronically because it made the whole process seamless. I had the grilled cheese made with gruyere and prosciutto and it was a delicious combo of tastes. My husband had their burger and said it was great.

I tried to walk in at Red Hook Tavern to try their famous burgers, but there was no luck getting a table. After searching on Google for nearby burger spots in Red Hook, I found The Good Fork Pub — and it did not disappoint. The restaurant had a nice, steady crowd, and the food came out quickly and exactly as ordered. Definitely a great spot for burgers and drinks. Highly recommend checking it out!

Popped into this place spontaneously around 2 pm on a Sunday. Self-seating with plenty of tables inside and out. Scan a QR code at the table to order. Food came out fast, and we loved it: Brussels sprouts, fries, Caesar salad, hot dog, Korean cheesesteak sandwich, and some Karage fried chicken. We also really liked the vibe of this place. Cozy with fairy lighting in the back patio. Would gladly return!

Food was delicious!! Drinks were great.. we tried a little bit of everything. Fried chicken and Brussels were my favorite..&& The Fries were perfectly crisp. Everyone was super friendly, amazing service. We went while they were holding the 481 Fire Fundraiser.. There was live entertainment. A few bands played The Thing, Figure of Fun, Rabbit Hole

This place never disappoints. The food is always good; the staff is always friendly and the ambiance is always welcoming and relaxed. 5 stars I stumbled into The Good Fork Pub while exploring Red Hook, and it ended up being the highlight of my day. There’s something about this place that just feels right—cozy, welcoming, and full of personality. The staff was warm and attentive without hovering, and you could tell they genuinely cared about the food and the vibe. I had their double smash burger and wow—easily one of the best I’ve had in the city. Crispy-edged patties, melty cheese, the perfect ratio of bun to meat, and that house sauce tied everything together beautifully. It was indulgent without being over-the-top, just pure burger bliss. I also tried the Korean-style steak & eggs, which was just as impressive. Perfectly cooked steak, rich yolky eggs, and a seasoning profile that packed serious flavor. Their cocktails are no joke either—thoughtfully crafted and strong in all the right ways. The menu blends comfort food with creative twists, and you can tell there’s real heart behind every dish. What I love most is how local it feels—like a true Red Hook gem that hasn’t gone overly trendy or lost its soul. If you're in the neighborhood, The Good Fork Pub is an absolute must. I forgot their names but the entire staff were amazing. It was a pleasure meeting them all. I will be returning.

An absolute gem. Everything you could want in a restaurant bar. The food is creative and comforting. The menu changes frequently. The service is friendly and warm. Sit at the bar, at secluded tables in the back, or in the yard outside. Good for kids, good for foodies, good for an afternoon beer, or a late-night cocktail. Un-pretentious vibe backed by serious chef chops. I prefer the burger here over the RH Tavern. The bulgogi philly cheese steak such a cool take and is not to miss. You might just stumble in on a special occasion and have more fun that you thought!

Loved this Pub. I can't rate the food because I didn't eat anything. The bartender, Barry and the server, Sam, were great. The price for drinks is very good. The space is lovely. The indoors starts with the bar and you can see the kitchen. Then through the hallway you come upon another room with seating which includes booths. Then there are stairs leading to the backyard. I found this area to be magical. It had a picnic table under the trees and wonderful, whimsical decorations. There is another outdoor area next to it that can also be accessed through the front of the Pub. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. I can't wait to go back. Maybe next time I'll try the food.

Delicious food and great friendly service. The Korean notes on old American classics added a lot of depth, and the dishes combine perfectly. The backroom has a great vibe and the backyard looks great for warm weather. I loved this place and it was totally worth a stroll to Red Hook. The only letdown was the coffee, which was cheap but weak.

Such a cozy gem that I’m so glad we stumbled into! The pork and chive dumplings, Philly (Korean) cheesesteak and shepherds pie were all incredible. The bartender Bari was awesome and there were great local beers on tap. I’ll definitely be returning in the summer when the outdoor area is open. 10/10 experience!

Brunch here was delicious. The interior of the restaurant is very cozy and uniquely themed. I ordered the French toast with a side of pork sausages and the standard breakfast with bacon and a biscuit. The French toast was the best I've ever had in the city; the blueberries on top were sweetened to perfection and the maple syrup mascarpone did not overpower the dish, rather it has a subtle flavor and the perfect amount is put on the plate. You won't need any extra syrup unless you have a real sweet tooth. Definitely coming back here soon!

C
Carolyn De Melo

Casual, indie vibe with friendly and attentive hippie-esk staff, with Asian cuisine influences. I've never had tempura broccoli with such a lovely light exterior crust (usually it's far too bready) and I also had a really terrific, perfectly done, burger. The ambiance was dark and charming, similar to restaurants in the East Village; the menu was small but varied, and my margarita was on point. And bonus! It's a very short walk from Ikea if you are going shopping there!

M
Michael Vitrano

Loved this place! Highly recommend the veggie burger. Disappointed in the service. I can’t stand QR menu places where you order and pay on your phone. This was one of them. Otherwise really cute and good food.

C

This place rocks. It's new American with a random hint of Korean. - The food is delicious - Atmosphere is great. Inside makes you feel like your in a cozy diner, and the porch out back is spacious and sunlit. - Location: it's not easy to get to this part of Red Hook, but it's a beautiful part of BK once you're there. Plus, there are many other bars around for an after dinner / after brunch beer.

S
Shad Berry

Really lovely experience with the service here. You can either order at the bar or order via the QR code scanner (which also allows you to pay when you are finished - very nice for us introverted folks) The space is intentionally designed with little bits of kitchy decor matched with upscale elegance. Beautiful backyard dining area. Food was tasty and unique though nothing that knocked my socks off. Ordered the shiitake fries, Korean Philly cheesesteak and a fried chicken dish with curried potato salad. Two beers, and the bill with tip came out to be nearly $100.

H
Heather Cammarata-Seale

Cozy and delicious! Tucked away in Red Hook, the good fork is definitely worth the trek. The service was so friendly and the tofu "steak and eggs" was delicious! Throw kimchi and a fried egg in something and I am totally game... My husband loved their dumplings!

R
Renee A

The best thing about this place is the warm neighborly vibes. It is a gem in that regard. Some of the food items here are up there with the best things I've ever eaten but I've also had some things that were almost inedible. And some dishes seem a little pricey for what they are but I guess that's NYC these days.

D
Dominic Carpin

This is a vibey Red Hook joint. We sat in the back and had smash burgers with fries. The food was delicious. Also pounded a whiskey. By the time we finished eating the front bar had filled up. Lots of energy young people having fun it was great. The one thing I didn't like was the digital dine-in system. Maybe I'm just a Daft Boomer, but I like it when someone comes and takes my order.

Food: excellent- burger with farm egg and fries Service: good- not great, not attentive or friendly. Just doing his job Decor: excellent- unique, bathroom is a must see. Such a cozy 💎. My husband and I arrived around 8pm, we were seated near the entrance window. Very nice cozy spot for our date night. Loved that we could scan and order our food. The service was great, responsive during the dinner rush. We ordered the bottle of Rose, Korean wings and Kimu Fries. The wings were bussin and so was the wine. The pub has a vintage yet romantic vibe. We'll definitely be back.

Cozy pub vibe on the inside. They serve food till 10 (last call I believe is 9:30) the warm vegetable salad was good especially with the crunch of the S&V chips. Smash burger was also tasty. A little pricey.

Really great space, but the food we ordered wasn't very good. We had vegetarian burgers, which were quite mushy. We couldn't finish them.

Avoid the Cesar salad. And DO NOT add the grilled chicken. The chicken was the absolute worst! Cold and bland. Flavorless. On the upside - the fries were perfect. The Korean Philly cheesesteak also delicious.

Fabienne

Service is always great. But the quality of the veggie burger has gone downhill :( They use a different type of veg patty now that isn't as tasty. And always seems to be very overcooked or undercooked to the point that it's inedible. I really hope they bring back the old ingredients because it used to be my fav dish to order!

Isabella Solaro
Isabella Solaro

Great vibe and good drinks. I ordered the fish and chips but it was exceedingly disappointing for a high-ish price. It was a panko coated fish filet with fingerling potatoes. Just simply not what fish and chips classically is, and there was no indication on the online menu that differed. Not to mention quite under seasoned. However the side of French fries were tasty, and I’d return for a beer

C
Candace L.

I'd probably go back for a drink and sit out back rather than a meal. Veg options are limited, so I got the scallion pancake (부추전) without knowing what bonito flakes were. True to Korean food, even the seemingly safe stuff will have seafood hidden in it, but that's my fault for not asking. It was thicker than a real Korean pancake would be, which was nice, and the sauce drizzled on it was tart and creamy. The atmosphere was the real draw. Even sitting inside overlooking the outside seating area was warm and peaceful.

A little disappointing. I came here because the photos looked so great, but it seems that they are very old photos and do not represent the food being served here. Our server was very nice but I asked for my eggs well done and was served (scrambled) eggs that were still liquidy. My boyfriend and I both asked for bacon and they forgot both orders. The home fries were smothered in cumin, so ask for regular fries unless you really like cumin. The burger meat was good and cooked perfectly medium as requested, but the lettuce was wilted and mushy. If you’re looking for a decent brunch go elsewhere. I have never eaten here before so perhaps it was just an off day for them, but still not excusable because it wasn’t busy. Overall not great food, servers were nice but forgetful and the interior looks like it could use a refresh in general.

Food was great, but the service was embarrassingly bad. Came in on a hot and humid day and got seated in the main dining area. Before we ordered we asked our waiter if there was any outdoor seating, as it was uncomfortably hot inside. He told us there wasn't. Two minutes later another couple walked in and he offered them the choice of outdoor seating. Ordered, ate, talked for 10-15 minutes, then tried to get our check. Our waiter refused to come anywhere near our table. Eventually another waitress came by and helped us out. Don't know what his issue was, there were only two other groups in the main dining area.

+++ Highlight of my meal was roasted butternut squash. I am a card carrying member and president of the anti-squash association, but I cannot deny the greatness of this dish (although the wife was unimpressed) ++ They close at 10:30, we were seated at 10:16 and got full service This is a great way to get the famed key lime pie from down the street (#twobirdswithonestone) Blood orange margarita is worth the price of admission, when else are you going to get that in life + Korean steak left a lot to be desired - Distance; Red Hook is so far out, even if you do have a car. The food here is good, but I don't think it's worth the trip, unless you're already in the neighborhood. TIPS: - EVERYBODY recommends the dumplings. I was just too full to try them. I do not regret me squash decision, but I simply didn't have space for another app. I guess I have to wait until I'm in the neighborhood again I do hate long soliloquies on reviews, but I must say I bee trying to go to Good Fork for a number of years. This was one of my absolute must-do/cannot wait to try, but I didn't want to travel all the way out to red hook to do it. With that said, my expectations were extremely high, and this is a positive, well run, good food establishment. I think I was waiting for much more than I received, hence the low rating

I came here for dinner with a group of 4 friends upon recommendation from a fellow foodie. I was told that dumplings at this place is a must try. Unfortunately, it turned out to be nothing but unnecessary hype! Sorry, godly dumplings, but you are not worth the $10 I paid for you. They were nothing out of the ordinary, bland and unoriginal. On to the entrees, we ordered the kimchi steak, duck, and mussels. The portions were small and overpriced. Unimpressive. Overall, this place is not worth the commute. It is in an area that you can really only get to by car.

The Good Fork is a restaurant you’ll be going out of the way for but it will be worth it. It’s gotten a lot of praise mainly for their Korean dumplings. I don’t get all the hype behind this. I think their entrees have a lot more to boast. The scallops were amazing. They were of good size, perfectly pan seared, swimming in mushroom truffle oil and resting on a bed of pureed peas. It was dotted with a fava beans and decorated with a thin fresh potato chip. Their presentation is so gourmet. The bacon wrapped pork tenderloin was accompanied with rich buttery grits. The greens were nicely reduced and it came with stewed apples which were so spicy and pungent it gave us sour faces. The tender cod was also on a puree with sugar snap peas. The key to eating the cod was to layer it with the candied meyer lemon pieces. We had a good representation of the overall menu at The Good Fork. Next time, I’ll have to try dessert.

Very disappointing. Came here because we didn’t wanna wait in line at Hometown. The Korean cheesesteak had barely any meat and was mostly bread. Bloody Mary was very watery and the curry fries came after we were finished eating.

The two Korean flavored dishes were good. The other dishes were disappointing. Dumplings arrived overcooked and all the skins were ruptured. The fried tofu sandwich was very greasy and over salted. I'm hoping it was just a bad night in the kitchen. The space and ambiance are really lovely

Smashburger was good. Fries are great. Fish and chips were fish and fingerling potatoes not chips. Service was scarce. Never came back after dropping food off. Asked bartender for boxes and the check.

Sunday Roast was more like sunday TV dinner, Curry fries lukewarm mush. Soup, ok. Ceaser salad bland but ok. Budweiser was great. Overall definitely not worth the price.

I love this place, and the food is usually good. However, yesterday we had some late-night drinks and got hungry, so we decided to order fish and chips. Unfortunately, the fish had a very strong smell of ammonia—much more than just a slight odor. It felt like it had been soaked in ammonia beforehand. Now, I'm not sure if it's safe to eat there anymore.

Until today, The Good Fork had been one of my favorite restaurants. I moved to the area nine years ago, and I always loved the excellent food and unpretentious atmosphere. I had told my mom about this place for years and took her to brunch here years ago, but hadn't had the chance to take her to dinner here. I finally got the chance today. I can't tell if I hate the Good Fork or new Red Hook or both. My mom likes her steak a little more on the well side and so she ordered it medium well. I know you're not "supposed" to do that, but this place has always seemed like a neighborhood spot to me so I thought it would be OK. It arrived pretty rare inside though seared on the outside. She didn't want to "complain," but I also thought it could stand to be done a little bit more to her liking. Years ago, I once received the completely wrong dish here and I didn't even want to say something but my dining companion did and I just decided to keep my wrong dish anyway and we got a nice dessert and it was fine. So I asked if it was OK if they cooked it a bit more. She brought us a plate for the rest of the meal and made my mom scrape the food off onto it while she begrudgingly sent back the steak. I overheard her snap at the kitchen that it was supposed to be well-done (medium-well, but whatever). If we were at a roadside diner, I guess that would have been OK, but at a roadside diner, the service would have been nicer, I think. I felt condescended to. I hate that. I always loved this place. I brought all my friends here. I bought the cookbook. Now I hate it. When we left, we followed three people out. One man said, "We hate children, but they were there." (There were like two kids there who were super well-behaved, and it was on the early side.) His companion, who was wearing a black and white fur vest (Dalmatian perhaps?) exclaimed something about her Louboutins. I guess that's the new Red Hook and my last time at the Good Fork.

The tri-tip sando was a slob of cole slaw on top of the meat. Bad. The tortilla for the tacos was hard and cold and the pulled pork filling was dry. The fries were horrible—it felt like eating fried potato skins… disclaimer: visited for pride day with a limited menu… the atmosphere itself was amazing :)

This is a great bar - inviting, cozy, huge background and great drinks. HOWEVER.. ...the food. The KFC and fries both tasted like they were fried hours ago and re-done. The curry sauce with it was awful - way sweet, and not reminiscent at all of the dark curry that comes with a Irish spice bag. The dumplings...the skin was great thinness but ultimately bland and soggy. AND they were $19 for 5. Was so disappointed.

Overpriced sandwich joint. NO CASH. You order and pay through an APP so it's basically takeout but they want you to leave a tip as if you were waited on. Cocktails are served in plastic cups. Had to go get the "waiter's myself to ask a couple of questions and to get a to-go container. The food was fine. Good fries. Clean bathrooms.

Was a favorite restaurant of mine. What a disappointment. Since chef Cara left the food hasn't been the same. Tonight I gave it another try. To start I ordered a glass of wine, only got half a glass???? the service was bad and food was worse. started with their Korean wings; just average. Next was Korean fried broccoli which was the only thing decent. The mussels were not fresh, and the curry sauce was lacking, sent it back. Then we had one of their special apps; scallops served in the shell was mostly mashed potatoes. Then my usual Roasted chicken with potato parsnip mash, green onion, black bean butter sauce. the chicken had no seasoning and the sauce was bland. Never going back.

Nothing good at The Good Fork. Service was slow, waiter was not very friendly nor very service oriented, and food? I could have made this basic fare at home 1. Had been wanting to try this place and finally did since hometown BBQ had a huge line this hot gorgeous day. 2. Was a Sunday early afternoon and available was the brunch menu. I usually like a small menu, and this was. It was also boring 3. I had the spring scramble that came with some parsley thrown on top and stale bread. I believe the salad was made of nettle. Husband had The Standard - eggs over easy, two sausage patties and whole wheat bread. 4. We had sat down telling the waiter we were very thirsty. After we downed the bottle of water he took it away and didn't come back with another. Took another 30 minutes to get our club soda 5. Nettle salad didn't have any dressing and I had to ask for that. What came was a pesto mush 6. Husbands eggs and sausage ok but then again why go out for that. He asked for cheese on top and was told they could not do that. Best thing he had was sausage patties which could have been jimmy dean thick cut 7. Not coming back

We have been going to this restaurant for years with our friends and family. However, we now encounter hostility from the most recent floor manager (Dinner Service). It is an uphill battle when we ask to sit in the back room as you hear the world of excuses as to why the room is not available. Also, her passive-aggressive temperament always ruins our visit to this place. Not to mention, ruins our guest experience. Please, be kind to the customers and try to be accommodating. Emotional intelligence goes a long way.

Im gonna be honest, this was awful in so many ways. I ordered a “smash burger” and got what was frozen patties on a soggy bun. Not smashed at all, somehow light gray on the top and bottom, burnt on the edges, and raw in the middle. Fries were soggy and had zero seasoning, the only thing I asked the server for the whole time I was there was some salt, never got it. Also made modifications to the burger all of which were ignored. Girlfriend got Shepards pie and liked it fine which is the only reason the food isn’t getting a 1. However, on top of all this, a burger and fries, a shepards pie with no sides, and one beer was over $70 not including the tip. I took my left overs (which was basically my entire meal) and ended up throwing them out down the street, didn’t want to feel like I lit $70 on fire but I decided to just take the loss. The servers were nice which is the ONLY silver lining, but considering I never got the only thing I asked for, can’t give the service a good score. Truly disappointed in every aspect and won’t be returning.
