Tom & Joan's Whiskey Bar Brooklyn Reviews
This place was such a treasure to find! Solid drink selection. The real gem though is that they have a good news bell for people celebrating! The bartender asked what brought us in and it was a friend’s birthday, but my partner and I are also engaged and getting married in April, as was another couple there with us that night. We all got a shout out, had celebratory shots, and it was so much fun! I absolutely love the good news bell. It’s also fun even if you yourself aren’t celebrating something to have those pleasant reminders of good things happening in others’ lives. I know it might sound cheesy when I say it like that, but it was really nice! They also have a nice patio in the back and shuffleboard in the main bar area. Highly recommend, will be back!
Excellent bar with the nest bar tenders! So glad it’s back post covid! They however had to stop offering the grilled cheese selections. They offer mini pizzas instead that are quite tasty. Deals are posted outside also!
Coldest beer ive ever been served- bring a koozy! The bar tender had really nice vibes too. The drinks are cheap and they have games! 10/10 will come again.
Great bartenders! Plenty of regulars and great music. Don't forget to ask for their special popcorn and pickle slices.

Come for the popcorn, stay for the groan tubes. Dash is my new favorite bartender. I’m bagging what he’s raking. He makes a mean grilled cheese, and he’s generous with the pickles. Great tunes, taboot.
Ben is a great bartender! Always remembers my name and drink. Great fun to watch his showmanship and interaction with other customers. Great drinks and atmosphere. My favorite from all the Whiskey Brooklyn bars!
I work nearby. Nice bar, especially in warm weather when they open up the front. But their grilled cheese selections are awesome!!!Best in the world......grilled cheese, big deal, right? No way, their grilled cheese will knock your socks off!
Chill neighborhood bar with a few TV's for sports and a bunch of table games. They have a 3 foot tall connect 4 game, Jenga, and other stuff like that. Also have some nice new TV's if there's a game on. They have a good tap selection and the drinks ate good. Also the bartenders are nice. It's owned by the same people that own whiskey Brooklyn so it had kind of a similar vibe but a little calmer because of the location. Definitely a good bar if you're in the area or waiting to head over to Brooklyn Steel.
One of the best bars in the area! The bartenders are so nice, the music is great (80/90s), awesome drinks that are reasonably priced!
Best Jaguars bar in NYC! Great service, good drinks and food. Easy access with trains. They play other games too.
Had a small event and was able to reserve a section of the bar with Joanne. She made the process so easy. The team printed out signs and kept our energy up all night. Jordan the bartender is an absolute gem. Great casual and fun spot for a party/birthday, everything was perfect!
Always a great vibe here. The bartenders are a great time, very fun and good at what they do. The size of the crowd varies, but always a good group of people. The table shuffleboard among other games adds something extra, and the etiquette is always good when it comes to sharing.
After party for a wedding. Drinks were good, and that grillled cheese hit after a long day and a little ‘cousins walk’ Nice spot to grab a drink and watch a game
Just a great sit down bar. I’ve been across the week to watch NBA playoffs. Jordan is an excellent bartender. He’s more of a host, you can just tell the guy wants you to relax and enjoy yourself. Fair prices on drinks and plenty of whiskey to choose from, but I’m more of a beer guy myself.
My girls and I love this place! They play great old school like 80s-90s music - right up our alley. We usually come here after we hit Reclamation Bar which is right down the street - just a good time. Bartenders are fun - not expensive - good times.

Love this place! It's clean, the drinks are on point, and the bartender John is a great guy to chat with. The only bad thing is that it's way too close to my home! I'll be here all the time now!
Nice friendly place trying a little too hard to be more. I go here when I see a concert at Bklyn Steel. Bartenders are personable. Last time I was there they had a DJ playing great hits of the 80s. It was ok, but not really necessary. Friendly place though. I'll go again when next I go to Bklyn Steel.

Great place to wander into and soak up the atmosphere (someone else put it perfectly, it's a textbook neighborhood bar). Even when it's slow it still kinda has a poppin feel. I came here when it was Daddy's but it still looks pretty fun.

Popped in for a quick beer before a show at Brooklyn Steel. Friendly bar tender, small beer selection, dart board and a few sparse tables, sports on TV. It seemed like they were heating up grilled cheese for people so I guess they serve some food. Nothing special but nothing bad.
Somewhere between a 3 and 4 depending on what you're looking for. This used to be a beloved neighborhood bar (Daddy's), and has since been cleaned up and under new management. The new owners are very nice which keeps me coming back to bar I'd normally skip for something less generic.

The guy at the front of the bar, I guess is the bodyguard, was very rude and his attitude was horrible. I just wanted to get the number to this location and like a little info card if they had one and change but I was not able to do so because he was not letting me in at all. He was yelling at me and telling me to leave and the people outside was not understanding also to why he was getting reckless with me if I approached him in a nice and formal way. I hope whoever picked up the phone talks to him because I don’t want to actually take higher actions With this situation at all. Instead of that, it looks pretty, from outside I guess I can say.
