Lella Alimentari Brooklyn Reviews
Le piadine are so simple but quite tasty. They have good coffee and pastries here too.
Truly one of the best spots in the neighborhood. Cozy, lovely people, great coffee, and amazing food. It just feels like a second home
I have been going to Lella for 6 years and it is one of my favorite bites in NYC. I used to work across the street and even though I moved to Long Island, I still come here whenever I’m in the area. There piadines are absolutely amazing. Simple and perfect. My favorite is the “porcetta.” It’s my favorite sandwich in NYC. Can’t say enough good things about this place. It’s a must go.
One of the more spacious cafes in the neighborhood with indoor/outdoor seating with excellent service and vibes . I usually come here for a cold brew. For lunch the burrata salad IS SO GOOd, fresh. Highly recommend the piadine classica too. Breakfast, the granola yogurt and bagel are some of my favorites.
My favorite brunch place!!!!!! I am really happy that I found this place in my neighborhood! So good!! I am not familiar with Italian food. But if these are authentic Italian meals, I feel like at least I don't need to concern about food if I travel to Italy 🤣 Kind staff, nice meal, nothing to complain! I hope to try all the menu. Lol. So far, Fritata(?) And poached egg salad
Piadine aren’t well known outside Italy, but they should be. These delightful snacks (kind of an Italian quesadilla) are a staple among late night eaters in Italy and have made their way here through the expert hands at Lella. The space has the vibe of a cute refurbished gas station and is packed with charming gadgets. There are good options for meat eaters and non- and they also have some bowls and salads for folks less inclined to eat carbs. Coffee is also excellent.
Great Italian cafa! Loved the design, something between the old Italian neighborhood grocery store to a hip cool cafe. They put out all kind of magazine's and table games out for you to play. The staff is amazing, (and speak Italian!!!:) very nice and welcoming. And super fast service. The coffee is good, orange juice is huge and freshly squeezed. They have all kinds of tea as well. The food is also really really nice and tasty! They serve breakfasts, eggs, paninis, Pastries and more... Only one thing that bothers me in this place is that they serve everything on disposable plates :/. I'll finish up with a high note because these guys really deserve it Just go there! It's super good!
Old school Italian vibes. Awesome atmosphere. Great lunch spot with classic Italian piadines with awesome meats and cheese and fresh salad bowls. Also low key a great place to come and do work on a weekday afternoon. Just get there before lunch cuz that rush for these dope sandwiches is so real. 👌🏼
Really enjoyed here and would happily come again. Never had these Italian sandwiches before, but they were light and crispy yet still contained the filling and flavour of a full sandwich. Didn't feel like too much, all top quality ingredients and a good selection to choose from - try it!
Such a homely little spot with shared tables and genuinely friendly, attentive staff. 🤍 The space is on the smaller side, but it works beautifully and is thoughtfully decorated with all kinds of charming paraphernalia that add to the cozy vibe. The coffee was spot on ☕️ — smooth and perfectly made. Unfortunately, the cotto didn’t quite hit the mark. It lacked filling, which made it feel dry and a bit bland, leading to a 3 ⭐️ rating overall. We’d still consider returning next time we’re in town to try something different — hoping for a better experience!
Personally thought it wasn’t great. The piadina was dry and they gave me rind end of the cheese which was not lovely to eat. Coffee dude completely forgot to make my latte, wasn’t very busy so not rlly sure what happened there. Maybe I caught them at an off afternoon hence 3 stars not 1 but I probably won’t be back
I don't think I've ever given a 1 star review before, but boy has this place inspired me! It was not busy. Maybe 2 other people waiting. I ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese. It takes 15 minutes. And it was burnt, with this white, salty liquid that did not resemble (in look nor taste) cream cheese. $6.50 and 15 minutes wasted.
This post is about sustainability only! 😀 This café is one of my absolute favorite spots in the neighborhood, and is so cozy and inviting. But it surprises me that there are no in-house, sustainable, reusable options for coffee cups and water cups. In one visit, you can see so much plastic waste being created, and then just discarded into the trashcan to head to a landfill or incinerator. I know you have some dishwashing capabilities because you use those reusable metal trays, so I wonder if you might be able to start offering at least some reusable cups at the water station, and mugs for people who meet with friends for coffee or to work from your location? By 2050, the ocean will be filled with more plastic than fish, and I wish that local restaurants in this waterfront borough would help customers not contribute so much to the plastics crisis. Thank you for considering, and thank you for creating such a lovely space. Would be even more lovely without so much trash!
