Came here with my girlfriend for a casual Sunday dinner. Pleasantly surprised at every turn: Rachel was a phenomenal bartender––her service was excellent. Everything was delicious, especially the X.O. rice rolls and the long beans. Definitely gonna be a repeat customer

Nice little restaurant in Williamsburg. They had a special friend fish sandwich that was bomb. We also shared some fried squid and fries. The squid was probably small to share with four people. My husband and I shared some fries and the special sandwich. We also shared the sundae. I got one of the mocktails. My friend of the pork sandwich, which was large, but looked good too. I would go back if I was in the area.

This is my favorite restaurant in Brooklyn. The XO noodles is one of the best dishes in the city. Regularly go to Bonnie's for the XO, shrimp and walnuts, and long beans. Great cocktails too. Highly recommend!

THE PANZANELLA. I haven’t stopped thinking about the PANZANELLA since I last went 2 months ago. Best bite in Brooklyn??? We ordered 2 for a group of 6 and we probably should have just ordered 6. Everything is good… the noodles are awesome.. the green beans are divine… and the outdoor patio tables are super uncomfortable

you really can’t go wrong with anything at Bonnie’s! The Henny Kravitz cocktail is by far my favorite, and all the food is amazing too

I recommend the fried shrimp and the sauteed noodles with X.O. sauce. We ordered 5 dishes (names are too hard to remember lol) including fried shrimp with mayonnaise and orange( my personal fav, reminding me of one dish from Taiwan), cacio e pepe (not impressed), sauteed noodles with X.O. sauce (great flavor and awesome texture), fried squid ( a bit too salty), and long beans with fried dough. The waiter was really nice and funny. We sat outside at the back with AC so it's less loud than inside. That allows us to talk without yelling.

Great dinning experience at Bonnie’s! The space was so cozy, good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were super friendly and helpful with recommendations. We weren’t expecting much for the food but it surpassed our expectations! It’s a Chinese fusion spot so we were pleasantly surprised by how they incorporated the Asian flavors. Highly recommend the mussels and fries!

If you’re lucky enough to get a reservation here definitely go!! Very unique twist on Chinese food. I loved everything we ordered! The rice noodle rolls were definitely my favorite, loved the string beans and the fries are AMAZING. The pool sandwich was good but it had a little too much horseradish for my own personal taste. The blt fried rice was good but not a must order. Highly recommend this place. Service is very good as well!

Yummy! Was expecting a fusion flavour but it actually very authentic. A bit like Taiwanese local dishes~ served in delicate dishes, can try many different things. To be honest we felt a bit expensive with this small amount proportion each plate. And we heard it need to make an appointment 2 weeks ago? Maybe someone cancelled the reservation so we got a chance to try.

Overall: Really wonderful experience! There are some small areas for improvement, but overall I loved it and will be returning soon! Appetizers: I had the long green beans and calamari and they were both really delicious and perfectly prepared. Main courses: we had the cold poached chicken and the pepper steak. It was the first time i ever had cold chicken and it certainly takes some getting used to if you never had it before. Certainly incredible for what it is, perfectly cooked and very flavorful. Drinks: had one cocktail and it was really great. Staff: really wonderful and attentive.

Loved the food here. Great, quick service. Loved the two cocktails we got, especially the penicillin one. My ONLY knock is that it was a little warm inside. Definitely recommend the chrysanthemum salad - the perfect light addition to whatever else you’re getting. I personally loved the XO noodle dish - those noodles are my definition of comfort food. My boyfriend loved the shrimp w walnuts - it was light and citrusy… so good!

Walnut shrimp was standout, the shrimp had perfect texture and flavor. Prob skip the cacio e Pepe and the crispy rice skate wings. interesting fusion food and cute vibes

The service here was fantastic. Loved the seating in the back patio. Food was amazing and generous portions. The MSG martini and McRib are a must. Make a reservation - walk in wait time on a weeknight can be over 1 hour.

Came here with my friend for a nice girls night! We got a reservation at 9 pm and it was crazy packed when we walked in. A bunch of people waiting. Took a bit to get our table but seemed like it was just people staying too long that caused backup. The place was sooo cute and cool and the bathroom was like a mini club which I loved. Music was perfect, playing all my favorites. Waitress was AWESOME and super helpful. We got espresso martinis which came out quick and green beans and wontons to start. Green beans turned out to be our fav fish and were delicious with some fried bread on top. Great flavor. Wontons were good too and had a curry/Indian flavor. I thought they could have been hotter (temp and spice level), but we enjoyed them. we also got the noodles. I personally don't like the rolled noodles and I thought the flavor was weird. But my friend loved them. Overall really thought this was a cool place and enjoyed our experience but didn't wow me like other spots in NYC. I'm also really tired of cocktails being $20, but I guess that's just what the reality is these days.

The chrysanthemum salad, fries, and dessert sundae were standouts. The cacio e pepe was perfectly cooked but still a bit boring compared to the rest. Our waiter was very sweet. A tad expensive but overall worth the trip!

Even though the food and service were great, it's too expensive. Drinks were pretty much $20 a pop. That said, chef has a great talent for combining texture and flavor. The chrysanthemum green salad was crispy and tangy; and the shrimp, candied walnuts, and fruit in the hup to ha went together perfectly.

OK, so I came here tonight and I have never heard of this place before. Everything was pretty good nothing was amazing and nothing was terrible. I will say that the shrimp with the candied walnuts were really good and the long beans were also pretty good. I ordered the mussels with the shoestring fries and when it came out, it had pieces of what looked like some kind of pork on top so I asked the server is that pork? and they said yes and I said oh no I can’t eat that so they brought it back and gave me the menu to pick something else, and I asked if I could have the same thing but with no pork and they said they couldn’t do that because it was in the broth so when I looked at the menu again, I realized it mentioned nowhere that there was pork in there, which is kind of annoying because if it wasn’t directly on top, I would’ve never known it was in the broth. I heard this place is extremely popular and I don’t know I’ve had much better food for lower prices and just better food in general. I also was not a fan of the flounder at all. It tasted like it had piña colada sauce on it, but my partner liked it so..

The mussels were good, the broth was extremely flavorful and creamy, but way too salty. The fries also ended up a bit soggy, and we needed more fries for the broth, if that was the intention. We ended up with a bunch of leftover broth that was too salty to drink on its own. Some bread would have been nice for this. The chow feung was pretty good, but really small and underwhelming for the price. I also thought this was too salty. The texture of the rice noodles was nice though, and i really liked the flavor of the dried shrimp. The bkrib.. It was good. I really liked the fluffinesses and the flavor of the bread, the sauce on the meat, and it was cooked okay. Maybe a bit overcooked. The onions and pickles provided a nice contrast. Not show stopping though. This was also too salty. The half chicken was pretty good as well. The broth was my favorite part. The flavor and cook on the chicken was good, but the rice didn’t really make any sense. It was yummy, but it felt as though the rice and the chicken were two completely separate dishes. The chicken was also too salty. I would say the food is pretty good, maybe not worth the price, and my main issue is the overall saltiness of the dishes. I typically eat saltier foods than my peers, but even after drinking 3 full glasses of water during this meal, my mouth is left with a tingling feeling and I need more water.

$171 including 20% tip we had -1 cocktail (good) -Chrysanthemum salad (pretty good) -String beans with fried bread (mid) -Rolled noodle with shrimp and pork (what they dont tell you, the shrimp and pork combined are like less than 1oz portion as an accent flavor) -ice cold boiled chicken (literally had to bring home and cook it ourselves) They made us wait for our table for 15 minutes at the bar, despite having a reservation that we were 15 minutes late for. Lovely servers and people working there. Suffice to say I bought into the hype and feel like such a fool. Just goto Flushing if you want good Chinese food, or Chinatown if you cant make it to Flushing.

Made the “trek” to Brooklyn and was excited to try Bonnie’s. Service was good- the server was knowledgeable about the menu and very pleasant. Had heard ravings about the MSG martini which we tried, and also tried the sour cherry Negroni - neither were spectacular and the martini had a strange aftertaste. For food, we ordered the chrysanthemum salad (Don Angie’s is so much better) - which was a large portion but mostly cabbage (?), the long beans were too mushy for my liking (liked the fried crullers but they were overly salty), the fuyu cacio e pepe mein which was just ok, and the sundae for dessert which was not that interesting (I liked the fried condensed milk). We also had the shrimp with walnuts and broccoli which was pretty basic. Overall, the food was pretty disappointing and I would not go back…

Food was very underwhelming. Everything seemed “gimmicky”. The bread for the sandwich was a little too dense, and flavour of the meat itself was barely there. Got some hot sauce on the side just to taste something. Pricey for what it was. Not sure how it’s bib gourmand. Service was nice although maybe slightly misogynistic given the waiter only spoke to my partner and not me and also only gave him the bill (not a big deal but the female staff immediately did talk to me in comparison!) Vibey atmosphere and drinks were actually really good. Give the food a miss if you have a varied palette

I recently went to Bonnie’s for dinner, and to say that the entire experience was an utter disappointment is still too nice of a review. Firstly, the dishes we ordered were completely stale and cold. We got the long beans with fried dough, and not only did we have to wait 30 minutes for the food, when it did arrive, it was not even fresh. The dough was completely soggy. Like it was sitting there drenched in the oils for way too long. It also came cold. So I’m really unsure why we had to wait so long for cold and stale food. We also got the walnut and shrimp. It was decently tasting, but again, not warm and there were 6 pieces of small shrimp for $20. Too overpriced. The honey walnut shrimp from Panda Express is honestly better lmao. Don’t even get me started on the XO cheung fun. This thing was a whopping $31 for basically 0 protein. It says there are cured pork in the dish but I swear I could not taste it at all. It was basically just noodles for $31. Nothing like the noodles you would get if you ordered from your local Chinese spot. At least there you would get a protein (chicken, beef slices, etc). But here there may have been a FEW ground pork morsels? But basically completely 95% just noodles. Completely overpriced. Also way too salty. Lastly, we got the dessert, ice cream sundae. It was your average vanilla ice cream with some peanut butter. The added “twist” was that you can add pork floss to it, and it had these mochi-like rice balls. To be honest, the pork floss added nothing to the overall dessert. It felt like this was just added for that “Asian” fusion theme the owner had intended, but there was no added worth in flavor or texture or anything at all really. The mochi had a nice texture, and was probably the best part of the dish, but there were only about 4 pieces of actual mochi. The ice cream itself was very average. This thing was 75% whipped cream, 20% ice cream and peanut butter, and 5% mochi. Felt like these 2 components were added just to say it was “asian” but there’s nothing special at all. You’re better off getting an ice cream cone and calling it a day. Overall, Bonnie’s is an utter disappointment and disgrace to even call it Asian. As a Chinese person, Im actually offended. It is very evident that Bonnie’s targets a certain demographic (aka YT), given that my friend and I were the only Asians in the entire restaurant (workers and chefs included). The portion sizes were also laughable, especially given how small it was. The pictures don’t show exactly how SMALL the portions are. Your typical Chinese takeout box (which is not even that large), is easily 3x the size of the portion size at Bonnie’s. What a joke. We ended up spending $75/pp but you’re honestly better off ordering from a local and AUTHENTIC Chinese spot for literally 1/8 of the price. Do not waste your money and time coming here. I don’t usually write reviews but this experience completely baffled me and left me in awe with how disappointing it was.
