Alligator Lounge Brooklyn Reviews
My favorite local sushi spot in Williamsburg! Very reliable take out and delivery (haven't dined in yet). Always polite and fast service. I don't normally write reviews but they exceeded my expectations on a delivery order today. I added a note to my GrubHub order asking them for more fresh rice because the last time I ordered it was a bit too dry for my taste. They called me to make sure I was taken care of. Got my delivery in 15 minutes and everything was delicious! Ordered 3 roll, 2 roll, and uni hand roll today! Yum!
I ordered the sushi and sashimi combo today, and honestly it might be one of the freshest sushi meals I’ve ever had. Everything tasted super fresh and high-quality. The delivery was quick too. I’ve been a regular for a while now, and you guys always take good care of your customers. Thank you!
This sushi restaurant truly stands out as one of the best and freshest I have ever experienced. The quality of the fish is exceptional, and the prices are very reasonable for the level of excellence provided. Their omakase is my absolute favorite — creative, unique, and beautifully prepared.
I got amazing takeout from here tonight! Their crispy rice is delicious, I loved their dim sum sampler and their omakase box is so good!!! Their scallop is SO GOOD and I loved the sweet shrimp and ikura ! This is a great takeout
I recently had the pleasure of ordering delivery from Sushi Yoshi, and it quickly became one of my favorite sushi spots. If you're a sushi lover, this place is an absolute must-visit. First off, the portions here are huge! Every dish we ordered was generously sized and beautifully presented. The quality of the food is top-notch, and you can really taste the freshness in every bite. I highly recommend the salmon avocado roll – it's incredibly well-made with fresh, buttery salmon and creamy avocado that perfectly complements each other. Another standout was the egg yolk buns; they were delightfully rich and unique, making for a perfect ending to the meal. Overall, Sushi Yoshi exceeded all my expectations. With its huge portions, superbly made dishes, and fantastic service, it’s a sushi lover’s paradise. Whether you're in the mood for classic rolls or something a bit different like the egg yolk buns, this place has got you covered. Don't miss out on this gem!
Amazing sushi! Our go to takeout spot now. They put a lot of care in packaging the order every time. The food is amazing, my go appetizer is the crystal shrimp dumpling and they do NOT skimp on the shrimp it is jam packed. The Omakase Sashimi is beautifully packaged and tastes fresh. It was really fun to test new types of sashimi. It also tastes really good the cucumber roll with roe was my fave. Definitely give this place a try, it’s worth it.
Ordered delivery for the second time, both times superb: very fresh ingredients, expertly prepared, the best sushi I've had it quite some time, and they sent tasty complimentary mochi ice cream to boot.
We just ordered delivery for the first time and the sushis are absolutely amazing, fresh and delicious! They also surprised us with a mochi and we loved it.
4/2/2024 Edit: The quality has deteriorated the past 3 times I ordered. They’ve started to become stingy with the Osakase Set. They either replace the salmon roe with something cheaper, or replace the rolls with something cheaper. Disappointing. Original Review: This is possibly the best sushi I’ve had in the US. So fresh and absolutely amazing quality. I didn’t know it was possible to get sushi of this quality at this price outside of Japan.
This is super high quality Sushi! The guys that run it are so nice and generous. Great presentation on my sashimi box and they even threw in some free mochi.
Very delicious! Their omakase is consistently excellent, and the price is truly reasonable compared to other restaurants. The fish is absolutely fresh every time.
Fresh sushi, and the omakase platter is my absolute favorite — everything was unique and incredibly fresh. The delivery was also much faster than I expected, arriving in just 30 minutes, even though we live quite far away. Overall, a wonderful experience and I’ll definitely be ordering again!
We ordered five sushi platters from Sushi Yoshi for a 40-person event, and everything was absolutely perfect. The sushi was super fresh, beautifully presented, and arrived right on time with all the sauces and extras we needed. The platters were well organized and visually stunning, and everyone at the event commented on how delicious the sushi was. We’ll definitely be ordering from Sushi Yoshi again for future events and highly recommend them to anyone looking for high-quality catering and reliable service.
A PIZZA with every BEER? This place ROCKS, the atmosphere goes hard and so does a personal pizza at happy hour with every drink you throw back. An absolute NYC must; and a Brooklyn GEM!
By far one of the best bars in all nyc. Great beer selection and the pizzas were really solid. Will definitely be coming back next time I’m in Brooklyn!
This is one of the best karaoke bars I've ever been too. The atmosphere is amazing and the karaoke is in the back room and you can't hear it from the main bar if it's not your thing. Everyone who sang was amazing and the crowd is so supportive and fun! Plus, you get free pizza tickets which helps the night last longer. Also, drinks are super cheap!
Mickey, Brie, Dylan, Jacob, Amy and Jessie are A M A Z I N G :D hit this place up if / when you can. Good vibes, even better drinks!
The bartender Mickey made our night incredible!! We came for a birthday and she was absolutely wonderful :) couldn't recommend more
Wow! This bar is amazing. Free pizza with every beer. Now that's a good deal. They also have a great trivia night on Mondays

How can you not like this spot? It has cheap drinks, free pizza and everybody in the neighborhood is basically here. It was pretty packed at 8pm on a saturday whereas most bars would be dead during…
Went here on a Wednesday evening and vibes were immaculate. After you order your drink (and they have a myriad of tap beers for a decent price), you get a "ticket" which you cash in for free person…
Best Brooklyn bar I visited in my NY trip. Nothing beats the free pizza with a beer purchase combo, good vibes and music. Perfect for pregame and get your Brooklyn night started.

When I first arrived someone was sitting at my favorite table. They politely moved after I told them about my mother passing away and her memories of this table. The atmosphere is great. The barten…
Placed an order for pickup. They must have moved location because the pictures of the stores are different. Ordered shrimp tempura rolls and they were good. However, there is no sign on the door so finding the entrance was a bit confusing. Not sure if they’re still in the processing of opening or renovating. When I opened the door, I was met with empty stares from the 2 workers by the door with no greetings and the area by the door was messy so I wasn’t sure if I was at the right restaurant.
I get takeout order from Sushi Yoshi. Hamachi Serrano is good with interesting Yuzu dressing. I also get Sashimi Appertizer it is 9 pcs sashimi of chef choice so it default to ordinary 3 fishes that every sushi place use; Tuna, Salmon and Hamachi which is I don't mind. The restaurant is budget friendly and mostly take out.
Delivery only. For takeout sushi/sashimi in NYC goes, this is the best one can get! I usually won't order sushi for delivery or takeout for quality concern. But I really wanted a light and healthy meal after another dreaded biz trip in SF. In comfy pajamas :) Took a chance on Yoshi while riding Uber home. And I was pleasantly surprised when the sushi/sashimi omakase arrived. It was well packaged in a paper box instead of a cheap looking plastic tray. Quality and quantity were great. Along with the seaweed salad, less than $50 bucks, at least 30% cheaper than the cheapest omakase one could get at a legitimate Japanese restaurant. Why not? Will reorder!
I visited this lounge on a rainy, chilly Sunday evening with someone to spend some time together. I didn’t expect it to be crowded, but to my surprise the place was full and lively. It was noisy, as lounges usually are, but not so loud that we couldn’t have a conversation — just the right amount of energy so it didn’t feel dull. We started with drinks. He ordered a glass of Guinness, and I chose one of their cocktails — something with rum and a citrusy twist. I don’t remember the exact name, but it was surprisingly good. I’m not a big drinker, so I tend to prefer cocktails where the flavor is elevated and not dominated by alcohol, and this one was perfect. The best part — and a pleasant surprise — was that with every drink you buy, you get a ticket for a free personal pizza. They had a proper Italian-style oven in the back, and they were making fresh, individual cheese pizzas. The one we got was hot, simple, and delicious. I was hungry, so we finished it quickly — so quickly that I even forgot to take a picture! The lounge also seemed to have pool tables and other things to enjoy if you’re hanging out with friends. The bartender was friendly, the atmosphere was upbeat, and overall we had a really nice time.
The free pizzas are really nice and the drink selection is standard but pretty affordable for the area. Definitely would recommend stopping by! I was less impressed with their karaoke DJ, who took like 5 songs for himself in the two hours we were there. Since everybody else was waiting for so long, I thought it was a bit self-indulgent. And his songs weren’t very well-known, so it brought down the atmosphere a bit.
This bar, without a doubt, has one of the most interesting gimmicks we’ve ever seen, but we’ll get into that in a minute. Alligator Lounge is a popular bar located in Williamsburg that gives off a strong college/recent grad energy. It is very packed and seating is at a premium. Beware navigating this bar can be tricky as a lot of people clog up the walkways so grip your drinks extra hard. They have skee ball and pool and the interior is decorated nicely, one of the better looking bars we’ve seen on our trip. They have a great selection of drinks and specials so it’s easy to find something that you and others will want to drink. And their gimmick? If you buy a drink you get a free personal pizza, we kid you not. You get a voucher when purchasing a drink and take that to the guys in the back and they make it there for you. You can pay a dollar extra and add on toppings but that’s a Costco-esque deal right there. To keep it short, this place reeks of fun and it’s easy to see why it was a go to spot for what felt like the entire neighborhood on that night out.

3 stars because I used to love sushi yoshi and would get it 1-2x a week living nearby! the past 3 times i’ve gotten it the quality seems worse / more fishy / more mushy. not sure if they changed vendors but I tried 3 different times and each recent batch was not it
I was looking forward to a new sushi spot on the block, the food was good, but when the check came there was an "Operational Fee" added before the tax, an extra $1.89, ( the cost of my food was $36.95, ) When I asked what an "Operational Fee" was for, my server hesitated and said - 'its a fee for restaurant operations..' After I replied that I'd never heard of one of those anywhere else - he said 'ok ok I take it off for you...' I did a bit of research when I got home, Junk fees of any sort are illegal in NYC, no "operational" fees, no "administrative" fees are allowed to be added after the fact. It also had nothing to do with Credit Card fees, by law they need to be included in the listed price on the menu. and I was paying cash anyway... I hate to leave a negative review of a new business, but if you're going to eat here - CHECK YOUR BILL !!!
I used to love coming here a few years back, not anymore. I want to echo how inattentive a lot of the staff is here in recent times, I feel like I have to push through and hassle the bartenders just to get a drink or get a check. This place gets dangerously crowded, people talk obnoxiously loud and don't care if they're standing in your way. Be careful if you're by the pool table, they'll accidentally hit you with a pool table stick because there's no space! A lot of people pointed it out already, but the guy regularly making and serving pizza prefers to serve regulars and women he sees as attractive. I've been told to "come back in 5-10 minutes" to be told when I came back to give him more time... when he serves others right away and has pizzas left over, yet he decides not to give them out. It's clear to me if you're not white, you won't get pizza. I left more than once not being able to redeem a ticket because of this, and I've experienced what others pointed out already. This bar used to be a low-key, cheap place anyone could enjoy. However, staff will mistreat you if you're not obnoxious or attractive. Shame on them for making women, LGBTQI+ folk and locals feel uncomfortable, that says a lot about their service.
Came with a friend as the bar offer a good deal. Beer and pizza only $7. Spend around $50. I tipped at the end but my friend paid by card. The service was great but at the end my friend tip on card was zero as I was going to pay cash. She was pissed and shocked them at we didn't tip her on her every drink.. others all tipped at the end. I'm sure it was just a misunderstanding that we tipped via cash.
I was recommended this place from a stranger. Came straight here after a super long shift. Just wanted some food and a good drink. My bartender was so nice my drink was good. I'm waiting for pizza and the person making it sees me standing there and doesn't say anything so i'm thinking in line. after waiting 10 minutes he decided to let me know i have to wait on line and where i was standing wasn't the line. i basically finished my drink at that point and i didn't even want the food or another drink. COMPLETLY RUINED MY EXPERIENCE. i will NOT be coming back here
Really gross. Ordered tuna crispy rice and was given one small drop of cooked tuna on oily fried rice. Really let down and had to throw it out. Order was from DoorDash. The Kano salad looked artificial as well.
kind of upset bc was looking forward to ordering after so many good reviews… i had the omakase platter and it was like 2 nigiris and 4pcs of a cut rolls. its under half the size of what it usually is??? like no expensive fish either that the menu or other reviewers showed, it was just a salmon nigiri and some white fish ???? for 40$+. they do just cut corners on cost where they can: giving less when possible, letting things go old, etc. i took a bite of my uni hand roll and it was so not fresh it tasted like old feet. the way they play with pricing depending on platform and how you order too is like very obvious that they care alot about tweaking everything to protect their margins.
Love the bartender, love the prices, love the drinks, love the vibes. But I think the pizza man has an attitude. Like he has a problem & an attitude lol
This is one of the most homophobic places I have ever been too. The amount of dirty looks or refusal of service or giving free drinks to Everyone EXCEPT us is so discriminating. We are very obviously apart of the LGBTQ+ community and the treatment here is so unfair. Do not recommend coming here if you are apart of the community.
