U Bar & Resturant Brooklyn Reviews
Seriously Everything is good in here! Soup served hot which I preferred ( feels good under the cold weather ), filling crispy spring rolls, delicious strong coffee. Servers are very friendly and helpful. I feel good to dine in here as you dont have to back to back seating with others just like the one in 86 st . Picture attached. Recommend! Nov, 2019
Had a good and delicious meal here, so full and happy. Pho is flavorful, pork chops was amazing. Spring rolls were a must and so were the jalapeños. Banh Xeo were crispy and genuine. There 3 color rainbow ice is good as well. Shrimp was not a fan here. (i’m not)
The pho is really really good. Eye round alone is worth the trip. Great service, great atmosphere. Don’t sleep on U Bar.
U Bar & Restaurant is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is warm, welcoming, and just the right mix of laid-back and lively. The food is consistently delicious, clearly made with care, and full of flavor—every visit leaves me impressed. The staff truly make the experience special: friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to make sure you’re taken care of without ever feeling rushed. Whether you’re stopping by for a casual meal, drinks, or a night out with friends, U Bar delivers on all fronts. Great food, great people, and an awesome atmosphere—I’ll definitely keep coming back.
Our family’s favorite restaurant. In my opinion, the pho soup here is the best. Look for items #3 and #13 on the menu — those are our favorite soups. Even after moving away from this neighborhood, we still make time to come back and enjoy the food here. I especially want to highlight the excellent service. We miss you guys ❤️
We drive out from queens for the pho here. It’s the best pho in the city in my personal opinion, the broth needs absolutely nothing else. We usually get the spring rolls, summer rolls, veggie pho and pork chop pho. Just perfect as is.
If you're a fan of soups, then the Vietnamese restaurant's soup is a must-try! I had the pleasure of sampling their pho, and it was a delight. The broth was flavorful and aromatic, with just the right balance of spices and herbs. The noodles were perfectly cooked and had a nice texture, and the beef was tender and flavorful. The overall taste was delicious and satisfying, and it left me feeling warm and satisfied. I highly recommend giving their soup a try if you're ever in the mood for a comforting and delicious bowl of goodness!
large portions, delicious, my boyfriend really liked it, I missed some spices and piquancy. I really liked the fried squid!
Came here for the first time on Halloween with my son. The space is large and open with the seating nicely spaced. The bathrooms are clean and nice also. The Pho was very good. The broth was not as rich as I had previously but still very good. The size of the bowl relative the price is very good. There was a lot of soup and noodles. My son loved the friend spring rolls and would have ate them all, if allowed. They were crispy and flavorful. I had an iced coffee which came exactly how I expected- rich and creamy and not too sweet. I really like d how they automatically bring you hot tea. I always order tea so this was a nice surprise. The staff was friendly and kind. The service was quick and I would definitely return.
The food was Amazing the broth was rich and delicious but my only one complaint would be.the waiter the Asian woman with black hair was rushing me to order food mind you I came there early she kept asking us over and over again if we wanted more food off the menu even though I said we were fine she gave attitude.my only critic would be the that specific woman the other people they’re besides her are very friendly the place is very clean also and beautiful decorations as well.
Very large and spacious place to enjoy your very large bowl of pho #1. Although the broth is not the best I’ve ever had, I do appreciate the atmosphere and I get to enjoy my food with lots of room to spare vs other pho establishments. The #1 bowl here is extra big here, but it’s mostly noodles. Other places give you more beef. Spring rolls here are also pretty decent too.
It’s been a long time since I last visit them due to distance. Came here for a quick bite for 2. Ordered their #1 beef noodle soup and a grilled beef entree. I have to say, Dang! That’s the biggest combination beef noodle soup I ever had for $12.95!!!! The broth was a bit on the salty side but over all, it’s good, the beef quality was good. The grilled beef was tender and a very nice amount, if they would have more charred flavor and a bit more seasoning, I’ve give 5 stars for overall experience for food vs. price. Haven’t had a dine out experience for a long period of time where we do not feel ripped off and should’ve just stay home to cooked. And this spot’s atmosphere is def a winner compare to other two pho spots on Ave U. Would def return, soon.
Decor here is great! Little pricey compared to average viet spots in the neighborhood. Biggest complaint: they dont use the right Sriracha sauce! Porkchop over rice: portion was great and grilled very nicely. Pho bowl was huge portion also. Crispy viet rolls: little small and they are 4 for 10$.
First time coming to this Vietnamese restaurant. The servers were very nice and the decor of the place is cute. The menu has so much to choose from everyone is left satisfied. I had the spring rolls that had an amazing dipping sauce and we had summer rolls which was very good but I personally didn't like the peanut dipping sauce. I had pho for the first time and it was delicious. I made mine spicy and took some to go as well. Not realizing the portions of the soup I also ordered beef cube with fried rice which were delicious but that was way too much food. To top it all off I had a Thai iced tea for dessert. I left stuffed and happy. Will definitely be back!
This place had good reviews so I took a friend of mine for her first experience with Vietnamese food. Definitely not an authentic viet place. I ordered summer rolls, and a vegetable pho. The spring rolls were not served with peanut sauce, instead it was served with a fish based sauce typically used for spring rolls. The pho also just tasted like vegetable broth, instead of the discernible spices and rich taste that pho is known for.
This used to be a good place with good service and tasty food. Unfortunately, the last two visits were disappointing. First, the positives: The staff greets guests politely. The restaurant is clean — the tables and floors look well maintained. Portion sizes are good. Now the negatives: After our food was served, the waiter put his phone on the counter with his back to us, started a video call, and began talking very loudly. He was laughing and speaking Spanish. A manager (I assume) came out and joined the conversation, and then a third person, who looked like a cook wearing an apron, joined as well. While we were eating, they were walking freely around the front area of the restaurant, laughing loudly, chatting with the person on the video call, patting each other on the back, squatting, and clearly enjoying themselves. It felt like we were not in a restaurant, but at a Mexican party or maybe at a train station. They completely occupied the space, while we were eating quietly so as not to disturb them. This was not a one-time experience. Either the staff talks loudly to each other, shouts, and behaves overly casual, or they stand at the counter with their backs to the guests, scrolling on their phones and not paying attention to anything else. Most likely, we will not be coming back. It’s a shame, because we really liked this place before — the food was good and we used to visit often.
The dish I ordered avg $12-$14 everywhere else, (grilled chicken, egg and sausage) was $20+TAX , way overpriced. And the bahn Minh had no flavor and the bread wasn’t flaky, was like a hero/roll texture
Our family used to love going to this Vietnam restaurant! Now it’s ridiculously expensive! More expensive than Manhattan! Around $70 for four takeout dishes, the extra small noodle is $5 ! We will never going back again!
I'm a regular customer in this restaurant I buy soup and I ask can I have little extra scallion on onion the worker is Mexican He said no and the lady boss is very rude please dine in in other nice restaurant the boss and the stuff are very nasty and I know they roude and don't respect the customer's they will closed the door very soon for good .
If you’re looking for good pho. Don’t come here. This is my first time reviewing a place and the food was so terrible I just had to. Broth tasted like dog water. Had no flavor at all.
“If I could give 0 stars, I would. I was told my order would take 35 minutes, but it took 1 hour and 30 minutes. On top of that, the food was overpriced for the quality, and the overall experience was terrible. Extremely disappointing service, long wait, and way too expensive for what you get. I will never order from this place again and don’t recommend it to anyone.”
