Papa Perez Bryan Reviews
perfect place to sit down and enjoy a meal, staff were very attentive and caring, highly recommend for anyone in the Bryan College Station area.
Great eats, single waitress took care of 20 of us…not a trivial feat!
First time here. Excellent service. The crawfish enchiladas were really good. The chili relleno were also really good. I would eat here again.
Papa Perez is amazing! Good is food and service staff is friendly and kind.
Have been going here for years. The food and service has always been great. If you're looking for good Mexican food this is the place. Located in downtown Bryan.
Our server was really amazing very attentive and had great recommendations. We loved the food ! It’s the best Mexican food I’ve had in a while! The restaurant is very clean and I love the atmosphere it’s in a cute area. We ordered the Gorditas, flautas, guisada, and the carne asada. SO DELICIOUS!
Friendly family-run local Mexican. My daughter and I have had dinner at Papa Perez every Tuesday for about 4 years now. The food is home cooked, delicious, and the service is excellent. The fajitas are always great, but there are some unique items on the menu well-worth checking out including the fried stuffed avocado if you're very hungry. Staff are very helpful and the place is kid friendly.
The food was delicious, and the staff were prompt. We loved that the music was not to loud so the family could talk and enjoy ourselves. We all tried various dishes and cleaned our plates. Will be going back as this is the first Mexican restaurant we have such great food at in town.
On the advice of a student, we stopped in for a late dinner. He said that all of his friends go there and that they really enjoy the food. I figure it would be a normal "college" bar/food experience. I wasn't wrong and neither was he! We both enjoyed the experience and if I were a few decades younger, I could definitely hang out and have more fun. As it was, I just went with one drink. The tequila sunrise was par for the course. Along with it came chips & salsa. I gotta say - I LOVED that salsa. Probably my #2 favorite in Texas. Really. At least I enjoyed it that much. For the entre I got the Aggie Enchiladas. Ok, they should call it the Aggie Combo as it was two enchiladas and a taco. I went all chicken and enjoyed the large pieces of shredded chicken. The food was good and the waitress/hostess were fantastic. Not a place for the worlds best dining experience, but when in a college town - it's exactly what you would expect.
This is one of the BEsT Mexican food restaurants in town if not the BEsT! They are a family run restaurant with attention to detail. They not only provide Great food but make it an experience to remember, that makes you want to come back. The owners work the whole restaurant from the front door to the back door. My family and friends were there last night and we have a blast, the service was great, drinks were great, food was Amazing and the service was outstanding. We will be back, Papa Perez, Thanks
Nice time. Food was good. Good waitress. Nice location.
The staff are very friendly and the food was good the only thing I didn't like was the kids dish we ordered macaroni and cheese for my kids and was so tiny they should add a side to it they even looked at it and just ate from our food they really didn't eat it but we're happy with our food I recommend if you have kids that can eat don't waist your money on kids meal just get a regular plate for them other than that was happy and will come back
Tried this place for lunch today. Lots of lunch specials at a fair price. Lunch specials come with a Tea included. The chips were ok, salsa was good and had some spice. Service was Friendly. I ordered a Cheese enchilada and beef taco combo. The taco wasn’t good at all. The ground beef had no Mexican flavor or spice, very bland, they maybe even add a filler. The enchilada sauce was good, but it wasn’t hot enough to melt all the cheese. The rice was bland. The Charro beans were good and had a Smokey flavor. My husband ordered the beef fajita tacos. He said the refried beans were just ok, the beef had a lot of gristle. They do not have a Shredded Beef option at all. The place needs a good cleaning, and there were spider webs throughout. I am not a fan of the crayon art on the brick walls, it seems like unwanted graffiti to me. I ordered a side of flour tortillas because it said they were homemade and 3 for $1.79, I was served 1. It was ok.
Nice Mexican restaurant to enjoy a limited amount of food items. I suggest trying the fried Avocado. The drinks were good and worth the price. I attended a drag brunch and had a great time. I suggest you try the drag brunch and show your support. You have to make reservations on their Facebook page for Cora's Drag Brunch. It's normally held on a Sunday either at 12 noon or 2:30pm. Make sure to bring some dollar bills to tip the drag queens. Overall a a nice restaurant to enjoy Mexican and cocktails. Service was good as they were very busy. Recommended for eating solo or with family and friends. Parking is limited.
First time Customer, Great Micheladas. bartender was great. but the Asian Waitress crappy attitude. Guess she was having a bad day . Not my fault .
Got the crispy chicken tacos and the shell tasted horrible and stale. Had to remove the shell and eat the food with chips but the chicken had a weird taste to it too. Service and place is good but the food I couldn’t even eat it.
