Bella Ciao Buffalo Reviews
Wonderful dinner, our server Genevieve was friendly and attentive. The Valentine specialty drinks were delicious and interesting as well!
Stayed at the Embassy suites for the weekend and dined both nights at Bella Ciao and it was delicious!! We loved everything we ordered. The French onion soup was superb and the arugula pizza was fantastic and the steak dinner was chefs kiss. Will return when in the area.
The arincini, lasagna and lobster mafalde were all great! The red sauce has just enough sweetness to not be overpowering. The service was good too, but we were there at opening, so I cannot speak to the dinner rush service. Definitely a must try!
Genevieve was an amazing server. They were pleasant, knowledgeable and wonderful to talk with! The food was incredible and worth every single penny - their pasta is something you must try! We came here for an early Valentine's dinner and definitely have plans to come back!
Dinner was fantastic! We had a great server, Genevieve O. She really made our dinner even better by being super attentive and friendly. We started with 2 appetizers, the Burrata and the New Shrimp appetizer. If you like Bang Bang Shrimp then I highly recommend the Shrimp appetizer. For our entree's, we got the Alfredo with Breaded Chicken, Scampi Shrimp and the Vodka Rigatoni. The sauces were all very flavorful and the dishes all came out piping hot. We ended our meal with the Lemon Ricotta Cake to share. It was an nice size and a perfect way to end our meal. We will definitely be back again soon.
Review for GENEVIEVE!! We had a late night reservation for a group of 7. Our first waitress whose name I can’t remember was just horrid. There was nothing positive to say about her service. She literally blew up on us and stopped short of cursing us out for not ordering fast enough. Thankfully the manager quickly handled the situation and made sure we were well taken care of. Then came our savior of a waitress Genevieve. She made our whole night and was everything a perfect waitress should be: patient, accommodating, and considerate. She was very fun, bubbly and oh so affable. Genevieve saved the day. The food was great, the atmosphere was good, the establishment was clean and well kept and the management and wait staff were wonderful (minus the hiccup with the first waitress). The only regret I had tonight was that I didn’t bring cash to tip Genevieve for her wonderful service! I would’ve gladly tipped her at least $50. I’ll definitely be back.
Modern atmosphere, not very cozy. BUT, the food was absolutely amazing! It was our second time here. They start with delicious bread and pil for table. Then my hubby and I shared a small chopped small. A unique twist that is beyond anything we have ever had. Amazing! Hubby had the Lobster Mafalde. He was very impressed with the amount of lobster. He said it was outstanding. I chose the Bolognese Lasagna. THE best I have ever had! The prices are not bad either. And when we got home, can you believe we forgot our leftovers. We are so annoyed at ourselves!
Some friends and I visited from Houston for my birthday. The food was different from what I’m used to but overall it was very good. And the service was AMAZING!!!! If you are in Buffalo and visit Bella Ciao please be sure to ask for Anani. She was by far one of the best servers I’ve ever came across. She was so kind, accommodating and vey conversational. She took part in making this birthday special and I am very appreciative of that. Thank you Bella Ciao for the wonderful service and thank you Anani for executing that said service!
We had an excellent experience in Bella Ciao this past weekend! We were warmly greeted and seated quickly. The server was very friendly and we felt well taken care off. The ambiance was really nice. The food was excellent. We ordered the Arancini, Lobster Mafalde, Chicken Parmigiana. Each and every dish was fresh, flavored, and made with care. I highly recommend this place.
The food was amazing. The drinks were spot on and refreshing. The meatballs were delicious and the main courses were all great. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a not too expensive Italian meal. I decided on a lobster dish, that turned out very good. The sauce was tasty, but the lobster was a little chewy. It didn’t matter to me since the dish overall was very good! The drinks were a little pricey, about $15 for the seasonal choices. But the dishes were as expected.
I enjoyed everything about this restaurant. It was a calming, nice atmosphere with touches of sophistication without any arrogance. The food was absolutely delicious. The homemade pasta tasted fresh and the lobster pasta dish was the perfect combination of creaminess, without heaviness, with a hint of wine, and loaded with several pieces of lobster. I highly recommend this dish.
Charming secluded room off the restaurant where we held a baby shower, with 25 attendees. The staff, especially Mia and Bella were fantastic, and made everything so easy. The Mom's-to-be found the menu easy to select and all the choices were delicious. Participants enjoyed the venue and space was excellent for comfort and for socializing.
It's inside the Embassy Suites Hotel with free valet if dining in, which would have been great to know before we parked in a lot a couple blocks away and walked through wind and snow. The brussel sprouts app was delicious so was the Burrata cheese with prosciutto and fig walnuts. The chicken Milanese was disappointing bc it was over cooked, the breadcrumbs were even burnt, surprised they served it that way. The shrimp scampi was decent but creamier sauce than expected. Overall good but nothing too special.
We had a great time and the food was good. Service was great our server Genevieve was so kind and friendly. Always made sure we were good and had everything we needed. It wasn’t anything over the top but it was perfect for a bite to eat and drink. We had some drinks and they were fabulous.
The meal was good and delicious ,the quality and the overall experience was good. The menu was very diverse offering a variety of different dishes. The flavors were very well balanced and unique like my Sriracha sausage pizza. The restaurant was clean and welcoming, and the decor added to the overall cultural atmosphere. It provides a distinctive dining experience in a one-of-a-kind setting thanks to the spacious dining area.
Service from the bar was great. Server was great. Risotto was horrid. Salmon was crunchy and cool??? Hungarian peppers was a deep fried cheese ball. Asparagus wasn't prepped and was ice cold. It stinks that the bar can't do proper pours cause hotel guests complain about the amount of alcohol in their respective glasses. Valet didn't get the door for my wife. A bit off putting. The Staff need to frame the ambiance, not the guests imo.
Came in on reservation and asked to be seated at booth, they gave us small table as there were 'reservations'. The parties they sat at booth were also 2 people almost hour later. They out of 2 drinks,(Wellers) (Mitchers) and took 20 min to get drinks we ordered. App was good, entrees *salmon and chicken milanese were average to below average, nothing special we were hoping for. Risotto was salty and undercooked. I have been here before and did not experience this. Waitresses super nice and thorough. Hope was 1 off visit.
